- Frankie (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE. - The hostesses were rude. None of the doors were locked or worked when we arrived. The key to the lock box outside was missing. There was a couple having sex in the room next to us. We got locked within the room and within the apartment with no help from the staff. After voicing concerns for the safety of the location and its state we were told there would be no refund of our money even though the property was not safe and unlivable at the moment. We had to buy a hotel room near by and loose the money we spent. Horrible experience.

- HAO (3/5): It was absolutely terrible. - The location is good. I thought I had booked a proper, legitimate hotel, which was the reason I chose Booking in the first place. But when I arrived, I realized it was not a real hotel at all. There was no reception, and the check-in instructions I carefully read beforehand were completely different from the reality. The instructions talked endlessly about a key, but in fact there was no key, and everything was written so vaguely that it was impossible to understand. I cannot explain how frustrated and stressed I was. My mother and I were standing there hungry, trying to unlock the place for an hour. The host did not even consider sending someone to help. We were stuck outside with no way to get in. I repeatedly told the host the code she gave me was wrong, but she didn’t believe me and even yelled at me, until I sent her a video proving it. Even then, she just changed the code remotely without a single apology. I have never seen such a ridiculous and poorly designed check-in procedure. They charged me such a high price for the stay, yet they couldn’t even bother translating the email or the instructions into English.

The entrance procedure was awful.We leave our stuff in the room and then when we come back they said they confuse the room and stay outside like 30 min figure out what happens . A lot of confusion and they only said sorry . If was an awful experience. I never stay in this location and didn’t recommend this

The bed was incredibly comfy, which was perfect after long days of exploring the city. One of the best things about this place is the location — everything was within walking distance, from historic landmarks to great restaurants and shops. It made getting around super easy and convenient. Highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Rome!

- Mohammed (10/5): - We loved our stay here, it’s close to all the places we visited. Are felt safe and lots of restaurants within walking distance. I didn’t know that it’s a B&B, not a hotel and this property doesn’t allow after hours check in. I was a bit worried when I found out that it’s not a hotel and there’s no front desk. Expedia support was completely useless, they just waisted time. Luckily those were no problem for us. We had a wonderful time in Rome and at this B&B.
- Jade (8/5): - Die Unterkunft war gut klimatisiert und die Zimmer waren verhältnismäßig geräumig. Es gab eine hohe Anzahl an Stromanschlüssen. Das Badezimmer wirkte zunächst recht modern und reichte für unsere Ansprüche komplett aus, roch aber teils recht streng und es waren teilweise kleinere Wasserschäden zu erkennen. Das Zugangssystem ist recht modern und die Kommunikation verlief recht einfach über WhatsApp. Die Bettlaken waren nur über die Bettdecke drübergelegt, nur eine geringe Unannehmlichkeit weil wir zu zweit waren. Ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, vor allem die Klimaanlage war bei 35 Grad im Schatten ein Gamechanger. Als Unterkunft durchaus empfehlenswert, besonders wenn man nicht vor hat besonders viel Zeit im Hotel zu verbringen und kleinere Macken leicht verzeihen kann.

- Jose (10/5): Love it. I will come back. - Beautiful boutique hotel. The location was excellent: we walked to most places, including Il Colosseo, which was 25 min away. Roma Termini is just 15 min away. My room was huge, with a king size bed, very unusual in European hotels. Very nice bathroom. Extremely clean. No receptionist, but the communication with the hotel’s team via WhatsApp was always easy and fast. I will come back to Rome and, without any doubt, I will book a room here.

- Jack (8/5): Good stay, but a few things let them down. - Great location and the room was nice and modern with a Samsung smart tv. Windows opened and the lighting was good. We enjoyed our stay at the property. -the property had a data breach and my card details were stolen. I had issues with fraudsters calling pretending to be them in the months before arrival and reported to the property, no call or email back or even an apology. -air conditioning wasn’t working or adjustable - room got very hot in the night -little bits of ware and tear in the room, that could be fixed easily, let it down. -digital locks opened by your phone was complicated to get in as they don’t unlock until 3pm, so couldn’t store bags prior. -property visited by cleaning staff which was lovely, however just two men in casual clothing, they should have a uniform or ID card, as I didn’t feel sure letting them in my room, just knocking and saying cleaners.

Note negative: molta difficoltà nel check-in on line, divano letto scomodo, occorrerebbe uno sgabello in bagno, qualche portasciugamani in più e del sapone liquido sul lavandino.

However, the final night presented a significant issue. A couple arrived at 2:00 AM without check-in information and were left unattended in the communal area. I spent nearly an hour assisting them in contacting support. While the owner expressed gratitude upon notification, no apology was offered for the inconvenience.

Cama muito confortável, quarto amplo banheiro amplo. Tenho dois pontos de melhorias, chuveiro caí pouca água e sem pressão, mas da pra tomar banho, e o vazo assim vc tem que dar uns 3 ou 4 descargas para conseguir se livrar de tudo. Mas no geral foi muito boa a estadia, e eu ficaria novamente.

- Dianne (8/5): - Overall a good property. Decent location close to restaurants and not too far a walk into the city centre. Around a 10-15 minute walk from the nearest metro station. No front desk so contact was via WhatsApp and the staff member I spoke with responded very quickly when I asked for the check-in instructions. Access via a key safe, main door lock was a bit sticky. Accessed apartment and room door using a link on phone, could be a little slow to open but didn’t have any major problems. Very clean. Had asked for single beds but had one king size, however it was very comfortable. Shower is a let down, poor water pressure from rainfall head and other head needs to be held when in use. Shower was also leaking. Good amount of storage space. Overall a decent stay in Rome and not bad value for money.

- susanwY187KU (6/5): No luggage storage as promised - Owner told my travel agent they would store my luggage but declined when we arrived. This changed our whole day since we flew into Rome at 7:15am. He told us there was a luggage storage place down down the road which did not exist, had some locals help us and were told it was never there. The room is difficult to get into, has a lock on outside door and two very complicated locks on hall and room doors. The place is locked up tight but they can't store your luggage for you. Very frustrating.

Impossible de faire descendre la température. J ai eu un peu chaud en soirée mais heureusement les nuits étaient plus fraiches alors nous avons pu ouvrir les fenêtres. La procédure d’entrée est effectivement un peu compliquée comme les gens le mentionne. Sinon pour le reste tout était parfait.

- MR BRIAN F (4/5): Brian K - Check in was a nightmare! They use a system called Vikey which should unlock the doors..it did not work. There we were after a long flight from Australia standing outside the door to the apartment and not being able to get in. Some supplied phone numbers were not answering, eventually spoke to someone who said they were on holidays and they were able to remotely unlock the first door..then there is a second door to get into the actual unit. The only way eventually for us to enter and leave was for them to give us a passcode for both doors (different code of course.) The actual apartment was quite nice but the experience really ruined our short stay in Rome. I will never again book in a place that does not have a proper reception facility and I would advise anyone against booking any accommodation that uses the "Vikey" system. Last comment..Hotels.com should make people aware of this at the time of booking, I have used Hotels.com many times before but this experience was very disappointing.

- Sthefani (8/5): - This property seems to be a 3 bedroom apartment that was converted in 3 private apartments for rent. When you ger off the room you have a common kitchen area for the 3 units. The apartment is very nice and comfortable. The downside is that you can hear people when they are in the kitchen area. We did not had any issues but if it could be annoying if you don't get respectfull neighbours. The area where the hotel is near downtown. Very convenient and accessible for public transportation if you want to visit the main Rome attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

Sin app no puedes hacer nada el soporte por WhatsApp tarda mucho en contestar. La salida según es 10:30 am es demasiado temprano. Es un departamento con 3 cuartos, una cocina en común. Se escucha todos los ruidos de los demás. No dejan descansar y es MOLESTO. Lo único positivo es que hay un super enfrente y hay estaciones de buss a unos minutos. - Sara (3/5): Run don’t walk away from this place. - comfortable bed and pillows . Close to most attractions. Hard to find because it’s in a dilapidated building. Access was extremely difficult and confusing. Water pressure basically nonexistent and tepid. Don’t change towels or provide additional tp unless requested. Was listed as a hotel but was a room inside a graffiti covered building and said breakfast included in the ad but it wasn’t!
- Xochitl (8/5): - Great place to stay. You need internet to get into building, apartment and room. Also to contact property manager. Other than that your stay will be pleasant. Cleaning daily and all you need is available.
- dia (8/5): - This time the process of checking in was easier as it was known to us , we stayed there before The futon bed was really uncomfortable and the bathroom door was unable to close The kitchen in the common area had a bad strong smell , couldn’t figure what was Construction work in the building , was noisy Checking out at 10 is too early

- dia (6/5): - You don’t see any staff at all , cleaning was to tidying the beds , no clean for the floor or changing any bed sheets , they cleaned the bathroom though On Expedia the check out time was 10:30 though I received a message saying that I have to check out by 10

- Holly (10/5): - The room was very nice and convenient to transportation. Plenty of places to eat and stores nearby. Train station was easy to get to as stellar.
- Glenn (10/5): - This property had a common space shared amongst three rooms, which offered a basic kitchen, dishes, utensils, coffee, sink. The room was spacious and clean. The only issue was this was a no contact entry, so you require data to connect to the internet to enter the main entrance to the building. They send you an email to link to a YouTube video about how to access the property. You need to make specific arrangements in order to get a key if you cannot gain internet access. They are accommodating, but without internet access you cannot enter the building. There are three locked doors to enter via different door codes. Communication is via what’s app. Once in the building, you can access the free wifi. They also attempted to charge us twice for the property tax, but we got this rectified.
- Achilleas (9/5): Superb - The place seems nice from the pictures but to be honest it is way better when you arrive there. You do a self-check in unlocking all the doors with your smart phone. Nice newly renovated rooms, good bed and great bathroom. We didn't meet any pf the staff but they were friendly when talking via WhatsApp, always online to help if needed. Big plus the good location of the place. I totally recommend it. We stayed for 3 nights and there wasn't anything in particular that we didn't really like. It was a perfect spot so we can enjoy the beautiful city of Rome.
- Alison (9/5): Great room in a great location in central Rome - the location was excellent, it was less than 15 minutes walk to Roma Termini. it was also half an hour walk from many great sites. it was literally surrounded by excellent food and coffee options as well. the room itself was excellent, the bed was huge and the bathroom was very nice. I enjoyed my stay very much. I found entry was a bit convoluted, but once I tried it, it made sense. the instructions sent were really really helpful. being a room in an apartment meant sometimes there was a bit of noise from the other people staying, but not as much as I thought. it was nice to have the kitchen as an option the, but I didn't use it.

No need to take taxis . Also it’s a lot of places and markets around the area If you plan to stay for a long time . I will be reserving again in the future .. AAA
- Mohammad (6/5): Pleasant - Location was perfect with lots of cafe, restaurants and stores around. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Beds were clean and tidy but bed location was not good as our legs always bumped to bed frame when we wanted to enter bathroom 😏 Unlike pictures Floor was not carpeted maybe pictures need to be uploaded. Room was really clean but bathroom was a bit mouldy

- Bruno (7/5): Good location - Location was amazing, really easy to commute and close to the Borghese Park. Internet connection was not good in the rooms…also, the TV was not working properly. No breakfast served, although it was mentioned in the description that it would be available.
- Margaret (8/5): Very kind staff in a comfy and clean room. - Staff was so kind, responsive, and helpful. Rooms are more updated than they appear online. The virtual key is a bad system. You have to use an app on your phone to remotely unlock the door knobs. They’re finicky, and in the morning the interior door knob to the apartment is difficult to open (once you’ve unlocked it for the first time in the morning it is smooth sailing). This was a detractor and a fire hazard.

- Gayle (5/5): Would not recommend this place. Very disappointed. - The breakfast we had on the Sunday was good, lots to chose from. The breakfast on the other days of our stay was disappointing. Location was disappointing, would have been nice to have had some information, area map, etc. Every other place we stayed at provided helpful information which was appreciated. We arrived on a Saturday and there was no hot water. We didn't have any hot water until late Monday afternoon. There was no communication as to when we would have some. We had to ask and the person we spoke to didn't seem to know anything. She did find out eventually and let us know. No apologies about lack of hot water and we felt there should have been some compensation given us.
- Cihan (3/5): Nice place but no hot water for shower! - Clean nice room, nice and various utensils available in common kitchen which is so clean. Good location, 13 mins walk to central train station, 8 mins walk to nearest metro station, can reach city center by walking. No hot water available! Even several times we informed the host, they couldn't solve the issue, they didn't believe in us and they sent different technicians each time. Especially in Rome after walking all around it is a basic need to get hot, warm water in shower, it was so disappointed after coming tired at night. During the check out, the host confirmed and understood that there is no hot water in shower, they promised us to refund, almost two weeks passed and haven't received anything even partially. So this treat to customer is the second disappointment. If you don't need shower, nice place to stay.

- Timothy (7/5): Overall it was great but I do think I like a classic hotel stay better. - I enjoyed the location of the hotel. The concierge Mustafa was very polite and helpful. He made sure there was plenty of food in the morning and was very friendly. I was not happy that the website said I could pay by Credit Card and then was told I had to pay in cash. That was very inconvenient. I also asked for a quiet room but the room was above the main busy street and the window near a bus stop. I could also hear everyone coming in and out of the main space. It sort of felt like a nice college dorm.
- Anonymous (3/5): Dobrý - The breakfast was excellent. Possibility of late check-in. Location close to the station and monuments. Lots of shops and restaurants. The host gave a lot of tips for the trip thank you very much for that. Problem with reservation. Upon arrival in the evening, I was told that the accommodation was full, the host offered an alternative accommodation solution, saying that everything would be fine the next day. We agreed, but the room we got was worse than what we ordered, but it was clean. The next day we had to leave the accommodation at 10 o'clock, had breakfast in our original accommodation where we had to leave our backpacks until the afternoon when we were to get a different but better room in another hotel. Upon arrival, we were informed again that the room was not available and that we were offered another alternative in a 1* hotel. I agreed, a discount was also agreed upon, which partly solved the problem, but it spoiled the overall impression of the holiday. I don't understand how this can happen with such a well-rated accommodation. I'm sorry that I have to write such a review at all, but it doesn't feel right to me to choose accommodation long in advance and find out on the spot that they are full. Maybe that wasn't the intention. Please consider this as a rating for service improvement. good bye :)
- Adil (10/5): Highly Recommended! - Me and my friend travelled to Rome for 3 days and our stay at Alla Locanda was really good. The breakfast was included in the package and it was really nice. The host (Mustafa) was very welcoming and showed a great deal of hospitality and we really enjoyed our time in Rome. The best thing staying at Alla Locanda was almost all tourist attractions were at a walking distance (of course if you like walking a bit).
