- GLEN (10/5): Great price point, clean and quiet for a short sta - We had a junior apartment that was very spacious with a nice breezy balcony overlooking the salt pond. Sandy Ground beach has a number of nice beach restaurants and bars a short walk away. If you are only in Anguilla for a few days it is a well priced handy place and you can still access the nicer beaches to the west and east.

We had very easy walkable access to a beach and lots of restaurant options. If you want to see the rest of the island, which we did, you will need to rent a car.

- Ray (10/5): Home Away From Home - Great locally owned guesthouse in a great location right across from a gorgeous stretch of beach with an amazing beach club, and restaurants. I loved it because it was away from the touristy area; I felt like a real local; hardly any tourist around. The owner of the guesthouse is so accommodating, down to earth and kind hearted. The Dominican housekeeper was so friendly. I was so impressed by her coming up to me on my first morning there, introduced herself and asked if I needed anything and how was my room and stay so far; that’s great customer service. My room I swear was bigger than most NYC apartments. I loved sitting out on my balcony and enjoying the silence of this fisherman village. I can’t wait to visit again.

There was a place for work, a sofa, dining table and two chairs and table with two chairs also on the terrace with the view to the pond. The Wi-Fi was good too. The kitchen was also sufficiently equipped. The furniture and appliances might be older, but that was not an issue for me. It was perfectly clean. As I do not drive, the location was not convenient for me, however I enjoyed the one night stay. The management/owners were super kind and supportive.

- William (10/5): - I came down to Anguilla on a business trip and brought a "first timer" with me. Even though it was a business trip, I wanted to show him the warmth of the people of Anguilla. Sandy Ground is the perfect place to introduce someone to the friendly graciousness of Anguillans. And the guest house put us right in the middle of the beach restaurants bars etc. He said he would definitely be back just to enjoy the warmth of Anguilla. Our room was clean and comfortable. Second bed is a small twin so keep that in mind.

- Mary Jo (10/5): Affordable and comfortable. - this hotel is very affordable for Anguilla. It is close to restaurants and bars, and is actually on the shore of a salt pond with just a small walk over to the ocean. the room was big and clean. We stayed in a junior suite and it had king size bed and a futon, a full kitchen, and a nice balcony overlooking the pond. The air conditioning worked well and there were big French doors to open to let the breeze in if we wanted. I liked it there.

AC unit and if you are spending longer than I did I bet you could use their laundry. They also rent cars. Anne was awesome she has seen some stuff and you should talk to her about it if you get the chance. The bed was springy. I found it fine but people with back issues might not find it firm enough. I actual love the feel of this place, however some people might not be able to see past the "history" of the land and buildings so manage expectations.

The room is large and airy with a seating area out the back. The room was cleaned well. The staff were friendly and helpful Almost everything in terms of the fixtures and fittings in the room are old and a bit broken/rusty. The back seating area would be so much better with newer seating. There was a light in the main room that gave out such a weak glow it was hard to tell it was on! Thankfully the kitchen lights were quite bright. Generally stuff was usable but it felt as though it needed a lot of refurbishmnet/maintainence

- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean and convenient for short stay - We had a roomy studio with full kitchen, bath and bed, and a small table and chairs out on the landing where you can see the salt pond. The place is spotlessly clean and the a/c, appliances and lights all work. The location is great, centrally located on the island with a beach and several restaurants only a short walk away. The staff is friendly, helpful and always available. My only reason for not recommending it for a long stay is that the room is pretty dark even in the daytime and the bed was not very comfortable.

Owner was lovely and gave us a lift back to the ferry terminal on departure. Cooking facilities were adequate to make meals! Bathroom needed some maintenance (no shower handle) and a deep clean. No one there on arrival, another couple had to call to get someone to the building. Understand the owner had been away and must have been relying a helping hand.

A few things were lacking: paper toweling in the kitchen was practically empty with no refill, there was no shampoo, the hair dryer shut off after 2 minutes and wouldn’t turn back on. Stairs to the second floor were quite steep.There were several good restaurants and beach bars in the area,
- Janna (10/5): Very clean unit across from the beach and bars - The location is great walking distance to many bars and restaurants. The units are kept very clean .our balcony overlooked the salt ponds and was very nice for coffee . A car is required to travel around the island and go to the market . Ann was very nice and accommodating especially when a hurricane came through the island . The space was very large for a couple and we were able to keep groceries in the fridge .

- Nicole (10/5): The Big Blue Building - Great little inn. Very clean. Great customer service-the people of Anguilla have been some of the most kindest, friendliest people I have ever come across in my years of traveling. Very close/walking distance to Elvis’s beach bar and Lit Lounge.
- Emily (10/5): - Really lovely rooms and host was so helpful and wonderful. They let us check in early and use the beach towels even after we had checked out. They even offered us a shower after we had checked out and been on the beach all day before we got the ferry back to St Martin. Would highly recommend.
- Oleh (10/5): - For us it it was unexpected overnight stay in the island. We was late for our ferry to Sent Martin. Booked on last moment and was super lucky with Ann and her facility. Her friendly family was super nice and we had amazing cozy quiet evening and night. Exactly what we needed after stressful late. One day we will be back!
- Luc (2/5): Je déconseille - Parvenus dans la chambre dite deluxe,elle nous semble dans un premier temps agreable et la vue sur le lac,bien que de nuit,nous donne envie d'être au matin pour l'apprecier. Mais rapidement,nous nous apercevons qu'il y a beaucoup de fenetres dont la plupart ne peuvent etre occultées,notament deux qui donnent sur le toit terrasse accessible de tout le monde y compris hors hotel et qui offrent une vue directe sur le lit double de la mezzanine,lit inconfortable aux coussins qui le sont tout autant. La climatisation de la mezzanine ne fonctionne pas et celle du bas ne parvient pas a rafraichir la mezzanine donc nuit plutot chaude. Au moment de prendre la douche,il a fallu attendre environ 15 minutes l'eau chaude au prix de manipulations d'un mitigeur très aleatoire. Au reveil le matin, vers 6h car pas de rideau ni volet a la plupart des fenetres et la chaleur (comme une nuit au camping),nous constatons des empreintes de pas qui ne sont pas a nous (dessin ne correspondant a aucune de nos chaussures) ainsi que du sable jusqu'en haut de l'escalier de la mezzanine.Je préfère ne pas penser a qui appartiennent ses empreintes ni pourquoi elles sont apparues dans la nuit. En conclusion,nous avons eu l'impression d'arriver dans un gite en travaux,de passer une nuit inconfortable aux yeux de toute personne se posant devant les fenetres ou entrant carement dans la chambre pourtant verrouillée au coucher.
- Bouzy (10/5): Tres agreable moment - Nous sommes tres contents : des echanges ont eu lieu avant notre arrivee pour la location de voiture et notre arrivee plus tot que prevu. Nous sommes attendus au Ferry avec la voiture, trop super. La location est spacieuse, avec un balcon, les hotes tres accueillants, la situation a cote de la plage c est hyper agreable avec de bons restos ( le plus apprécié pour le repas le waves et pour la deco le Elvis) la gentillesse des locaux. Je recommande cet endroit

- Nick (10/5): - Ann was wonderful! She knows everyone / everything in the area and gives wonderful recommendations. Let us have a late checkout after a morning dive so we could clean up. This property is directly across the street from the beach and also has a view of the salt pans behind.
- Jerzy (10/5): Escape to paradise - We could go out for a breakfast in the beach restaurant or prepare it easily in our room/kitchenette. We could have a fancy dinner on the beach and watch the sunset from the restaurant deck or we could have some tasty food in the local food takeout. Our host Mrs Anna would solve any problem of ours for the communication or transportation or good use of the time. This is a dream place no need to improve.

- Louise (10/5): Spacious and convenient - Extremely helpful owners changed the beds without complaint. Great position for the beach, restaurants and diving. Fully equipped kitchen if you bring food with you. There was an unpleasant smell where the owner’s dogs were kept off the corridor to the room.
- Greg (10/5): Memorable local experience - The owners. Amazing. Can't praise them enough. Not only were they really helpful, it was just nice to meet them and chat. Really added to the experience of visiting a quiet beautiful island. Location was great, next to a beach, view of water. Comfortable. Strong A/C. Spacious enough with kitchen and seating. Tip: rent a car through the owner All good. It's a simple place, not a resort. But perfectly comfortable for me, and I can be picky.
- Anonymous (10/5): Great place. - Such a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Spacious room which was scrupulously clean. Brilliant location, minutes from the dive centre and seconds from restaurants. There is a small shop attached for essentials. Nothing comes to mind.

- Paula (10/5): i had a great stay and excellent memories. Thanks to Anne and Ayanna!! - The owners are kind and I felt like home. They helped me with the car booking when Hertz cancelled my reservation upon my arrival. They also gave me great recommendations to visit Anguilla and get the best of my week there. I also liked the location and easy access to the day tours to Sandy Island and Prickly Pear. The stairs to carry my baggage but they carried it for me so nothing to add here.
- Kareem (5/5): Passable - The floor was super dirty, each time we walk we felt dirt also plenty dead butterflies. While checking in with the dog was unexceptable.
