• Carolyn (8/5): - Great location. So close to the colosseum, restaurants and cafés. Room is clean. Check in and check.out was easy. Bed was too firm for us. There are a lot of stairs to climb to get to the room.

• Daniel Even Harris (9/5): Great location by Colloseo - Location would be hard to beat. Comfortable beds and bathroom. A bit of mold in the bathroom due to non-optimal drainage of the shower floor. Slippery floor in the bathroom when wet, use the floor towel to wipe up water so you don't slip.

• Robert (10/5): Outstanding place to stay - The hotel was VERY convenient to the Colosseum, restaurants and stores. The contact for the hotel was very responsive to any questions we had. Because the building is older there was no elevator. But the room was only on the second floor.

• Daniel (10/5): Great location with friendly staff - The location of the property is excellent, directly across the street from the Colosseum and just a short distance from the train. There are plenty of restaurants around, and even a little grocery store just around the corner. The room was clean, staff was friendly and make checking in a breeze.

• Ian (8/5): Good & bad position - Laura gave us a warm welcome, explaining everything we needed to know. Being able to see the Ludus Magnus & the Colosseum from our balcony every morning was fantastic ! The room was clean & tidy, perfect for a 4 night stay. Only two things to mention, if you struggle with steps then this property may not be for you, there is no lift for you & your cases. Also, because of where the rooms are(above restaurants/bars) it got noisy at night, one night the loud music didn’t stop until 1am. These were the only downside to these rooms.
• Helen (10/5): Fantastic location, lovely room close to local restaurants and an incredible view of the Colosseum. - The locations was fantastic, being only a short walk to the Colosseum. There is also a metro stop, tram stop and buses very close by do that you can access the whole city. We took a taxi to and from the airport (Ciampino) fixed price €40 each way using Uber app ( or €55 from Fiumicino). There is a fridge in the room, which we used to store essentials and a little Carrefore store (24hr) around the corner. Lots of places to eat right in the street below with excellent views of the colosseum, we felt were reasonably priced despite what others may warn. The room was lovely, functional and we particularly enjoyed the views out of the French doors. The staff were helpful friendly and welcoming. Would love to come back to Rome and would definitely stay here again.

Walking out and seeing the Colosseum daily was an incredible experience. Laura made our trip exceptional. She was helpful and accommodating. The place was clean and had all we needed. The balcony does not have a great view but that didn't matter because the weather was a bit chlly

It was really easy to find, and the bus stop was also near the hotel. The lady at the reception was very welcoming and kind. She showed us the area and even recommended places to eat and drink. The only thing I would have liked to have there is a pair of slippers, but this is really just a personal preference.

• Çetin (9/5): - Konumu harika, Kolezyum'un karşısında. Laura çok iyi bir ev sahibi. Roma seyahatinizi verdiği bilgilerle çok kolaylaştırıyor. Asansör yok ve merdivenleri dik. Gençler açısından hiç problem değil. Ağır bavulları olanlar ve yaşlılar açısından bu durumu hatırlatmakta fayda var.

• Michela (7/5): Tutto bene - La posizione è davvero top e anche il prezzo. Le camere e le lenzuola sono pulite. La doccia della camera è molto grande e comoda. Ci vorrebbe un po’ più attenzione ai dettagli: c’erano delle strisciate nere sui muri della camera, la testiera del letto aveva una macchina arancione (sicuramente era stata pulita e non veniva via comunque) e nelle siliconature della doccia un po’ di alghette.

Comunicação é ótima. Pegamos o quarto mais simples, mas tudo muito limpo, tem microondas, máquina de café, biscoitos e uma mini cozinha coletiva. A cama é muito boa, ventilado, chuveiro ótimo. As escadas pra subir com malas.

• Lori (10/5): A great stay! - It was a great location with comfortable beds, large bathroom, excellent air conditioning and a clean room. Instructions for arrival were very clear, and Laura was an excellent part of our stay. She made us feel welcome, accommodated our early arrival by storing our luggage and turning over the room quickly, provided advice, directions and recommendations around the hotel. She was excellent and made our stay comfortable!

• PATRIZIA (9/5): - Posizione accanto al Colosseo, stanza pulita e con arredamento curato, terrazzino affacciato su cortile interno silenzioso. Frigo nella stanza, con acqua a disposizione . Nella stanza in comune ci sono macchina del caffè con capsule, bollitore, forno microonde , piccole merendine. La signora che ci ha accolto è stata molto gentile. Non c’è possibilità di lasciare i bagagli dopo check out, ma sotto alla struttura c’è una piccola agenzia per depositarli. Non c’è ascensore.

• Adéla (7/5): Hezké lokalita, ale nevyhovující klid na spaní – zvonění hostů bez přítomné recepce a hluk z chodby byl v pokoji slyšet - Lokalita je skvělá. Vyjdete z budovy a vidíte Koloseum. Paní, která na nás čekala byla moc milá a vše perfektně vysvětlila. Fajn byla také kuchyňka na chodbě, kde si lze udělat kávu nebo ohřát jídlo. V 1 ráno nás vzbudilo silné zvonění zvonku, který je na chodbě. Na recepci bohužel nikdo většinou není, takže zvonění nepřestávalo a trvalo několik minut.. to stejné se bohužel opakovalo i v 7 hodin ráno jiný den. Z chodby do pokoje je slyšet každé slovo, takže když vás nevzbudí zvonek, vzbudí vás odcházející a přicházející hosté nebo personál. Nevýhodou je také chybějící výtah, ale s tím jsme počítali.

• Freya (10/5): 10/10 stay 🥰 lovely staff & lovely room - I couldn’t recommend Ludus Rooms enough!! The room was lovely, very comfy bed annd has a safe, fridge, kettle, the bathroom is also lovely. All the staff we met were very kind and helped us with some local recommendations for food and even some good attractions to see. There is a little communal kitchen with a lovely coffee machine and biscuits. The view was also very nice from my room. It is in a great location right next to the colosseum and a close enough walk to all other sights. 10/10 stay 🥰 - Freya

С негов късмет намерих това чудесно място за спане. Събуждаш се , правиш си кафенце , излизаш на френската тераса и Колизеумът е пред теб.Излизаш от хотела и Колизеумът е пред теб! Просто перфектно! Бих посетила отново това място! Стаите всеки ден се чистят. Всичко е чисто и подредено. Аз си изгубих обицата, споделих на Лаура и тя ми я намери, докато аз се разкарвах из Рим. Много съм ѝ благодарна! Тя е прекрасна , мила и добра! Винаги отговаря , когато имаш въпроси. В стаята имаше кафе машина с безплатно кафе и чай. До хотела има заведения , които работят до късно. Също така има и супермаркет. Метрото е на близо. Общо взето перфектна локация, наистина! Цена качеството удобство просто перфектно! Хотелът е много подходящ също за семейства с деца. Няма нещо , което да не ни хареса. Всичко е отлично!

You must carry luggage up stairs which is the only thing to be aware of ahead of time. Really enjoyed our stay. Nothing.

• Christopher (9/5): This is the place to stay if you want to stay in Rome and not spend all your money on accommodation. Love it!! - The Location was amazing and the room was top notch. The woman who runs the place was extremely helpful with providing information on nearby amenities and places to visit. She was fluent in English.

• Jayme (9/5): Gets the job done in Rome! - The view! Amazing view from our room of the excavations, the Colosseum! Walkable to many great little restaurants. The towel warmer and the bidet since we don't normally have these things in America. The little porch by the kitchenette and the kitchenette were used every morning. Easy come and go for everything we did in Rome! The only thing needed might be better signs. We kind of were a little lost at first. We also had to carry suitcases up 3 flights of stairs, that was a little hard but we got it done. I don't think there were elevators.
