Brian (6/5): Adequate - Room was very small. There is a picture of the room in their ad but it is very small. You can't walk around the bed. So one of you has to crawl over the other to get in and out of bed. Not ideal when you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. We also had issues of a sewage smell wafting into the room at various times. The staff was very friendly and the room is very modern with an iPad to give you full control of the room lights, shades, TV and ambiance. The breakfast buffet was mediocre although it does provide a few different options.

The area right in front of the hotel is a little sketchy, but totally safe. And 50 feet in either direction puts you right where you need to be in Paris. Very convenient location.

Verified traveler (10/5): The perfect landing pad in Paris - I picked Citizen M for a two-day stay at the beginning of a long Europe trip and it proved to be a great place to use both as a base for traveling the city and to sleep off my jet lag. Clean, incredibly comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. I’ll choose this spot again in the future.
Sophie (4/5): - For the price of this hotel what we got was ridiculous. We stayed three nights and out of those days the iPad that controls everything in the room was not working. We couldn’t control the heat, whether or not we got our room cleaned, the TV, room service, or the lights. We complained several times and they said it was a “world wide problem.” When I asked for any sort of compensation they said no. We paid so much money to have a dirty, hot, not working room, with staff that did not help or honestly seemed indifferent. After reading more reviews they said that this is a consistent problem with the iPads and having them control the rooms. You can definitely find a cheaper hotel for much better. Not worth any money whatsoever.

Hair dryer kept on flipping closed so couldn’t really use it. If staying with someone else, make sure you are VERY comfortable with each other - the bathroom has limited privacy. Really liked the pull out storage underneath the bed. The electronic mood lighting, blinds, and music were very cool. Comfortable bed and pillows. Plugs included North American, British, and European. Amazing service, every single person we spoke to was lovely. Would definitely stay again!

Verified traveler (4/5): Not a traditional hotel. - This is not a real hotel in traditional sense, but more of a place for cool young people to gather. No concierge, no front desk, no cleaning staff. Our bed sheets were not clean when we arrived. We informed the only person on duty at 10 pm, and she came to our room to inspect, looked at the bed and said what do you mean. We had to ask her to feel the sheet, so she did and said Oh, and offered to move us to a new room. When we asked why she couldn't have someone change the sheets, she explained there's no cleaning staff on duty. It took her 20 minutes to find a new room and she seemed annoyed that we asked her to do so. No apology. We were the problem. When I say it's a place for cool young people to hang out, it's because those are the pictures you see everywhere. That's the music you hear playing in the elevator. These are the people who work there. These are 98% of the guests. They just don't advertise this for some reason (except in code, which I only picked up upon my leave). They brag about all the high-tech and free wifi in the rooms, which is true and very nifty. So if you're a cool young person who doesn't mind an occasional dirty room and no concierge or front desk, this is a great place for you.

Patrick (8/5): Nicest staff in Paris - We stayed 3 nights along with 3 other couples. All of us are in our 60s. This is a very modern hotel that uses technology well. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful- such a treat! The lounge and restaurant below the main floor offers a fun place to hang out. The food and drinks were also great! Our only complaint is the layout of the bed. It is surrounded by 3 walls. The person in the back has to crawl over their partner to get up. I actually took a serious fall trying to get out of bed. I am lucky that I didn’t break any bones. Overall, this is a really nice hotel- especially if you’re young, agile, and tech-savvy!

On the first day there was a strong, but intermittent, smell of rotten eggs in our room coming from the air conditioning. We went out for the evening and it was still there when we got back and was around during the night. By the morning the smell had passed so we didn’t report it to reception - which we should have done. I can see from other reviews this has been an ongoing issue for this hotel, which is a shame as it’s really good in all other areas.
