The staff members are very polite and welcoming, and the breakfast is delicious, even though the selection is exactly the same every single day. Additionally, for anyone who smokes, there is a small, dedicated smoking room in the basement that accommodates two people. Our The location itself is very central, which is both a good and a bad thing. One thing I realized during my trip is that Tokyo doesn’t really have a single "true" center, as every district is massive, unique, and packed with things to do. Personally, however, this specific neighborhood didn't really suit my taste. It is packed with nightlife and feels very much like a red-light district, with lots of promoters on the streets constantly trying to pull you into their venues. When you are heading back after an exhausting, all-day sightseeing tour, walking from Shinjuku Station to the hotel through that crowd isn't the most relaxing experience. The area stays extremely lively and vibrant late into the night, which can be a plus or a minus depending on what you are looking for. If you love nightlife, enjoy that kind of entertainment, and want easy access to the nearby bars and clubs, then this hotel is absolutely ideal. However, if you prefer a quieter environment to wind down after a long day, it is definitely something to keep in mind.

• Mathilde (8/5): - Hôtel situé dans le quartier de kabukicho, quartier un peu « chaud » de Tokyo, mais ça reste tout à fait convenable. L’hôtel est plutôt bien situé, à 10 grosses minutes de marche de la plus grosse station de métro / train de Tokyo : shinjuku. La chambre était de taille moyenne. Et la salle de bain un peu petite. Odeurs de remontées d’égouts de temps en temps dans la salle de bain, ce qui n’était pas très agréables. On étendait beaucoup le bruit de la rue même au 11ème étage, comme c’est un quartier avec beaucoup de bars et de boîte de nuit, il y a de l’animation toute la nuit. Bon rapport qualité prix car les hôtels sont hors de prix à Tokyo. Je ne recommande pas forcément pour famille avec jeunes enfants mais pour des couples c’est ok. Chambre petite. Remontées d’odeurs d’égouts dans salle de bain. Petit déjeuner bon mais pas exceptionnel. Quartier bruyant.

• Diana Noah (7/5): Great location, nice staff, unusable TV - Location is absolutely amazing. Everything is nearby, few steps away from hustle and bustle, yet the rooms are quiet and sound proofing is decent. Staff is nice and helpful, rooms were clean, shower and bathtub were also great. For this price, I would expect more. Not in terms of size of the room, as this is Tokyo and it's understandable that it will be smaller, but in terms of comfort. Pillows are quite bad, and the matress is too firm. The TV is large, but basically unusable, because there is no way of using Netflix on it, unless you go out and buy hdmi cable, and a hdmi to USB-C converter if you have a macbook. (There is a casting option on TV, but Netflix doesn't support casting for a few years now. So after a long day of walking around, we would lay in the bed and want to unwind and watch something, but we would have to use laptops on our laps. You have many reviewers mentioning the same issue for a while now. Something simple as fixing this would get your ratings up.

• CRISTINA (8/5): Bona ubicació, estada confortable - L'hotel està en una zona molt bulliciosa, amb molt transport públic i supermercats al voltant. L'esmorzar estava força bé, amb cafè aceptable. L'habitació era petita vam canviar alguns mobles de lloc i vam poder posar les maletes. El bany estava molt bé amb zona de banyera i dutxa a part. Va ser el millor hotel de tot el viatge, quan vam estar a altres hotels sempre recordaven que l'hotel Amanek estava millor. Està ubicat al barri de shinjuku, que podríem dir que és com el barri vermell de Tokio, però l'hotel estava ben insonoritzat, però al vespre tant per l'aire condicionat com per la finestra entrava olor a menjar.

• Sarandeep (9/5): Great stay! - Amazing, every hotel we stayed in after we always compare to Amanek, and it hasn’t been the same. Bed was super comfortable too! Location was decent still a 8-10 min walk from the subway. Good for couples or solo travellers. The only thing is the room was really small, but still manageable, and there’s a weird sewage smell after the bidet, but I’ve found that in every hotel. Lots of bars and nightclubs around so might not be the best for a family.

Good location, many restaurants around hotel and not far to walk to Shinjuku station. Breakfast was same every four days, but it was suitable for us. In bathroom there should some hangers where you could hang towels. Sink was little bit wierd and not so comfortable to use. Needed more space around sink for toiletries.

Location is ok, a little seedy in areas but we didn’t realise it was in the club area. Would stay again if on my own but not with families. However, hotel is very quiet, not issues with noise.

• Timeri (9/5): - J'ai bien aimé le style de l'hôtel ainsi que la chambre. La chambre était bien agencée donc la petite superficie ne se faisait pas ressentir même avec 3 grosses valises. Aussi la chambre que l'on avait était équipée d'une belle petite salle de bain où on ne se sentait pas à l'étroit. Le personne était très accueillant. Je dirais : un peu le quartier (à 2/3 min à pied de Godzilla Head) mais même à 23h il y a encore du passage du coup ça allait, le sèche linge ne fonctionnait pas très bien.

• Debby (8/5): Mooi en goed hotel op een fijne locatie - Leuke en mooie kamers met alles wat je wat je nodig hebt. De badkamer is ruim en handig ingericht. De kamer zelf is wat aan de kleine kant vooral je met grote koffers reist. Bij het ontbijt is weinig keuze voor iemand met een lactose intolerantie.
