Guest Reviews
- Julio Alfonso (9/5): - The rooms are big The place can get noisy and hot

- Jose Manuel (10/5): Relación calidad-precio insuperable - Limpio, céntrico, grande, todo genial
- isa (8/5): - Friendly staff.Thank you Alex for all your help.Close to the center. Spacious pods. Luggage room. Money exchange.
- Senka (9/5): Superb - The pods are great. I had a very big bag and two backpacks and could fit everything. There is also an overhead compartment that you can lock with your lock. The bathroom doesn't have any hooks or shelves to leave your stuff while in shower.
- Mochileroo (10/5): Exceptional - Great hostel! Good location near the tourist sites. Large and private cabins for the beds. Two large common areas and a great kitchen. Social atmosphere. Free luggage storage after checkout. Would 100% stay again. Bathroom didn't lock.
- Lada (10/5): Exceptional - Thank you so much for the wonderful hostel! Everything was great. The hostel is wonderful, with the best staff! The location is convenient, the rooms are nice, and the kitchen is fully equipped! I will definitely come back!
- Yusuf (5/5): Location is good but fans in room too noisy. Not for solo travelers. - It is close to the center. Location was great. I joined three of their tours. They were really good. Guides very nice and knowledgeable. Room have individual fans. It was too loud, I could not sleep first night. Guy , under bank, he refused to turned off. Next day changed the room, it was the same. It’s not for solo travelers. No common area to socialize with others.
- Elisabed (8/5): Very good -
- Shuk (10/5): Must stay in Lead Pods Hostel when u visit Salta! - Super good location, in the heart of the city! Museum, shops, cafe, restaurants and supermarket nearby. Each bed in female dorm have curtain to provide enough privacy! I have stayed here for 6 nights and slept so well every night. Room is a bit hot but they provide a fan in each bed. Water machine in kitchen so you can fill up your water bottle! There is password for main door and each room to ensure security. Staff are nice and friendly although they can't speak English. Super good value! No cooking stove in kitchen:( And the cups and plates are not so clean for use.
- Cem (7/5): Good -
- Katarzyna (10/5): Really comfortable hostel with lots of privacy - This is a truly lovely hostel! Not very social but if you are looking for a place to take a rest and have a goodnight sleep - I higly recommend it! The pod is actually like your little room, you don’t feel claustrophobic there and there is plenty of space to put your things out. What I love the most that the construction does not shake so you cannot feel other people going up and down. There is plenty of power sockets inside and each pod has it’s own ventilator. The only small suggestion I may have - it would be useful to add more hangers for wet towels - even one inside of the pod. I imagine that it could be also useful in winter to hang your jacket on. All the volunteers and people who work there are absolutely lovely and very helpful. It’s very quiet there during a night and everything what you may need - shops etc. are super close. Nothing I disliked but I was surprised there is no gas stove/ electric stove in the kitchen. It’s probably my fault I missed this info in the description. Still, there is a fridge, kittle oven and microwave and well, I learnt how to hard boil egg in the microwave :)
- Lee (5/5): Passable -
- Andreunavarro (10/5): Perfect location - Location was perfect and staff helped me with everything Our bathroom was leaking water from everywhere and the pods got quite warm during the night
- Diane (6/5): Pleasant - Pod was private with inside locker, light, tiny shelf and fan. En suite bathroom for 6. Good location with many food, shopping and tourist locations within a 20 minute walk. No a/c. The bedroom was very hot. It is not possible to cook in the kitchen as only a toaster oven and low wattage microwave are available. I got in at 3am and was provided with codes to get in but the bed had been slept on which was gross. There always seemed to be much confusion on bed assignments and length of stays.
- Léa (7/5): Good -
- Tsz (8/5): Very good - Located in city centre, really convenient to go supermarket and commercial area
Good value of money and super nice staff, she introduced me to go to enjoy delicious empanada in salta Little hot in room but fan was offered, thats ok
Need to add dryer in bathroom in order to reduce humidity

- Matt (10/5): A Truly Great Hostel - An absolutely incredible hostel and the most amazing stay in Salta. The staff there are the best. I have never been made to feel so welcome in a hostel and everyone there felt like a part of a big family. Thank you so much to Mathias and the team, as I felt like I made true friends at the hostel. The beds are very comfortable and the pod system is very cool- much bigger than I expected, it's like having your own room within the room. Fans also help to cool during hotter months. Charging points fitted to each pod as well as lockers. Plenty of bathrooms and showers. Great breakfast and a good kitchen. A very central location too which is close to everything. But the best thing has to be the people working there!
- Akshay (8/5): Very good - Great owner and staff. Really accommodating. Super responsive on the hostels WhatsApp account.
Pods were awesome, great for privacy. Really interesting automated entry setup to hostel and rooms.
Highly recommend booking Cachi day trip through the hostel. Had a great time with a cool and knowledgeable tour guide in Samuel.
- Mélanie (9/5): Superb -
- Nicholas (6/5): Pleasant - Good concept, good privacy for value.ll good location There was zero ventilation in the room so the pods became unbearably hot very quickly, and the fan provided some relief but was cheap and very loud. The bathroom was also mouldy due to no ventilation, and turned the main room very humid if the door was open after a shower. Would only recommend in cold months. The on site staff was also quite unfamiliar with anything, and the host was slow to reply on whatsapp
- Deirdre (8/5): Great value for money - The pods were like a private room and quite spacious. The location was good and it was clean Inside the pods was very hot, even though there was a fan there was no air.
- Alexandra (5/5): Great location, the pods are great, but the rest leaves a bit to be desired - Great location, close to Salta’s central plaza and other attractions. You are sent the entry codes to enter the hostel and the rooms in advance on WhatsApp, and this all is worked well. The private pods are quite comfortable, private and spacious enough to fit your bags. There are fans in the pods and places to charge your devices. The bathroom attached to my room (habitacion 2) was incredibly mouldy and dirty, and the shower didn’t work properly the entire stay. It was the worst bathroom I have used in 6 months of travelling. The breakfast is average - it is coffee, a bread roll, spreads and a piece of fruit. Aside from some spots at the bench in the kitchen, there aren’t really any communal areas to hang out and meet other travellers. The kitchen has a small grill oven but not a stove, you can’t really prepare full meals. The employees/volunteers working at the hostel were friendly but didn’t always seem to know what was going on with how the hostel operated.
- Anna (7/5): Great! - The "room" : spacious with everything you need Very few bathrooms, not clean and without a key to lock yourself
- Antonio (8/5): Great value for money in a comfy place - The pods are comfortable with some privacy. Price is amazing and good location. Staff was helpful. I always found hot water in the shower but a couple of people didn’t, the staff however was ready to help. Breakfast was good. Water refill available all day. Nice friendly vibe in the hostel. There could be a few extra hangers in the pods. The kitchen is minimal (a microwave and a small oven) which was fine but good to know before buying food that needs proper cooking. Most tours start early in the morning so those days it’s unlikely you’ll get breakfast.
- Hsin (7/5): Good - The staff is very friendly, and the hostel's vibe is excellent. The location is near a local market which offers cheap eat and fresh food diversity. The digital key code door system is very flexible and convenient. The pod is clean, and the clean person cleans the restroom daily. The pod is clean and designed with a locker. There is no stove in the kitchen that you can use. They have a microwave, though. I'm not saying they need a full stove, but an electric one will be a plus for doing some light cooking.
- My pod's locker is broken, and there is an open on it. Unfortunately the front desk told me that I can not change my pod or offer any solution. I am travelling to bring my laptop to work, and I feel safer having a locker even though, in theory, only a few people can know the code of your room.
The bathroom sharing the room is a bit unfortunate. The door can not be locked; a basic one would easily solve the social faux pas of the roommate trying to figure out if anyone is occupying it. There are mildew stains in/on the shower and the shower curtain.
- When a lot of people are using hot water at the same time. There is no hot water. ( based on what the staff told me)
-The soundproofing is not very good, so be ready for the noise of people chatting too late in the patio area.
- I don't feel like the sheets and mattress I got are very clean...
- Christine (9/5): Superb - Smooth check-in process , the place is clean and maintained initially we were given a 4 sharing room without a bathroom . The common bathroom didn't have a door lock which is strange and sad. I had to keep someone standing outside in-order to use it . It was covered with paper though. I hope it gets fixed . We were given a change of rooms from a 4 sharing to 6 sharing later the same day.
- Dominik (9/5): Great value for money if you're willing to share a room - Capsule hotel accessed with codes which we received before arrival. The capsules provide more privacy than standard bunk beds. Our room with 4 capsules had its own bathroom. Simple breakfast (bread, apples, dulce de leche, jam, machine with different hot beverages). Greatly equipped kitchen (toaster, toaster oven, fridge, kettle, dispenser with hot and cold water...). In the first night, our room was full, and although the others left (we then had the room for ourselves!), nobody came to clean the room. Also, due to the automatic check-in process, we didn't pay upon arrival and only remembered on the last evening. It was a bit hard to reach someone from the hostel (we found no information about when they leave) but in the end we found a solution via WhatsApp. Best solution might be to automatically charge the guests' card. Last thing: The sink leaked to the floor (and this had been mentioned in earlier reviews).
- Yeu (9/5): Superb - The instruction is easy and the cabin is clean and space enough. The bad roommate always ruins the night.
- Flavia (10/5): Exceptional - This was one of the best hostels Ive ever been to. Besides being conveniently located in a very central street, the accomodation is extremely cozy and private (keep that in mind if you are looking for a very interactive room - this might not be the best choice in this matter). You will also find a very helpful staff that will go out of their way to assist your needs (many thanks to Matias, Yeli and Anne) with great recommendations and help with excursions.
Denifinetely one of the best options around the city!
- Ross (9/5): Staff! Location! Price! - Brilliant location - just a few streets from the main square and in the busy commercial district so there are lots of food and shopping options! The staff / volunteers are fantastic- super friendly, helpful and easy to connect with. The pods are great - so private and comfy (all with lights and plugs to charge). The beds themselves are comfy. There is a small communal kitchen and breakfast is included in the price (hot drinks and some fruit / bread). Great value for money! Comfy communal areas to chill. Could have a few extra bathrooms. Inside the rooms, there aren’t a lot of places to hang things and inside the pods it would be great to have a hanger for towels etc. There is no outdoor space but the inside courtyard is still nice!
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - Very cosy Pods, very friendly and helpful people, very nice atmosphere, the hostel is very close to the main square, I had a good time there and a good night out in una pena with the people from the hostel. Everything fine :)
- Evan (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the privacy of the pods, awesome staff and very easy to meet other peoples at a very decent price.
- Alessandro (7/5): Good -
- Jay (9/5): Perfect choice for backpackers. - Excellent privacy with individual pods and curtain. Lockers were great too.
Solid breakfast with coffee and fruit.
Favorite hostel in all of Argentina. Hostel was quite hot with not very much ventilation. This was during peak summer though.
More seating required.
- Yuchen (9/5): Superb -
- M.m (8/5): It’s a standard hostel - They are more willing to help Only one night not really knowing it yet
- Joohyun (7/5): You need a whatsapp if you come to the late night - clean and private bed. it could be better if bathroom is cleaner
and i couldn't enter into the guesthouse if I didn't have a WhatsApp.
Because they sent a gate password through whatsapp
so it can be good to notice people who come to the hostel late time, they need a whatsapp to get a gate password.
- Paulini (7/5): Good - The Pods are quite large and you can fit everything inside, especially with the locker it's nice. The check in was easy and we could leave our luggage there after check out. It was very hot and bad air in the room and the pods. Also the breakfast was late and not very good.
- Thais (9/5): Superb - The service was incredible. I had arrived to Lead Pods Hostel on a early morning flight and hadn't gotten any sleep. Safe to say I was not in the most happy energetic mood. And yet as soon as I arrived, Luis from the reception and Jessica both gave me the warmest welcome I have ever received in any hostel. They welcomed to my room, offered me breakfast and chatted with me. I instantly felt party of the family. Luis sat down with me for 40 minutes to give me all the best recommendations and details about Salta and its surroundings. They both made my stay very pleasant.
- Matthew (9/5): Superb -
- Nicola (7/5): Good -
- Farah (9/5): Excellent price for value, clean and comfy - The beds are comfy and give a lot of privacy, the bathroom was often cleaned the people at the reception are also very helpful and nice and it is super cheap The bathroom is badly done, the shower is near the toilet so when someone showers everything gets wet but the cleaning lady was doing a good job cleaning well the rooms and bathroom so it was ok
- Katarzyna (6/5): Pleasant - The cabins gave a lot of privacy, there is a space for the luggage. Breakfasts starts from 12.00! It is super late, especially when most of the paid excursions to areas near salta start from 7.00 am. I have asked if there is any possibility to have it earlier/price reduced, but it was not possible... Bathrooms are not super comfortable, there is not even a shelf to put your things on, needed to put everything on the floor.
- Jose (8/5): Very good -
- Laurence (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to chill and right next to all attractions, without it being noisey Maybe just have little hooks inside your pod so you can put up jackets, there is a rail outside the room so it's not a big deal just an idea
- Grzegorz (5/5): Passable -
- Sarah (9/5): Great stay - The staff, the pods Water was not very hot at night
- Anastasiya (8/5): Location and staff - Good location and staff
- Pauline (6/5): Manque cruel de convivialité - Super clean, privacy in the room, nice location If you want to meet people... it's NOT a place for you
There's no real reception, everything works with the phone (to access the hostel, the room ....). I had litterally NO information when I arrived and it's very difficult to have information (they never answered my messages... except when it was about paying the room). For example they changed my room without informing me, so I have to postponed all my plans in the morning to pack my stuff and wait for the other room to be clean...
There's no kitchen or chill place, so it's almost impossible to spend time with people.
I really hope it's not the future of hostel . Humans are nice too :)
- Rebecca (8/5): Solo Traveller meets Pods for the first time - The Pods were very comfortable and more they were bigger than I thought they would be. The curtains provided a nice bit of privacy and also blocked out all the light from the main room.
Light switches, charger points and large lock box inside the pod.
I also liked the shared private bathroom attached to the room, the pastries for breakfast each morning in the kitchen and the coffee machine.
Staff were helpful and it's very central, only 2 blocks from the main square.
Easy to check in when your bus is 5hours late and you arrive at 2am with the code on the doors. The hallway bathroom could be a little bit cleaner.
And the kitchen only had a microwave option for cooking your own meals. I didn't check this out beforehand and bought a dinner to cook at the hostel one night instead of eating out. Got it to work, but a stove would've been nice.
- Guille (7/5): Amazing experience. I made a lot of new friends - Breakfast includes croissants, coffee and fruits.
The pods were very confortable and the staff really nice. I didn’t have a private bathroom. The shared bathroom was not good. The pressure of the water to take a shower was really bad.
- Gabriele (10/5): súper place to stay in Salta - great place with very friendly and attentive staff. totally new. loved the privacy of the cubicles. very clean. nice breakfast with a great selection of pastries and coffees.
- Holsa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Belinda321 (8/5): Beautiful and calm hostel away from the busy city noise - I love this hostel and the pods. They were super spacious and felt so private even though it was a shared room. After backpacking and sharing bunkbeds for months this was a fresh breath of air. I got to sleep comfortably and could relax. The lobby and entrance is absolutely beautiful and the breakfast was great. The staff were super friendly and welcoming.
The hostel was in a great location, in the centre and close to many sightseeing options, but still in a quiet space enough to not hear the street noise. The bathrokm was a tiny bit on the small side and was hard to keep the water in the shower on the inside as the shower drape wasn't good and there was barely any space to move while showering.
Furthermore just something to think about at check out and cleaning.
The cleaners come in the morning right after check out time, but open the doors wide open and leave them like that for up to an hour, without cleaning. For those that are still sleeping, or trying to sleep, like myself were woken up as they were loud when entering, talking on the phone and with eachother without any concern about some of us sleeping. Furthermore I never understood what the point was with opening the door before they were ready to clean as this allowed all the loud noise from the outside to enter the room making it impossible to sleep. So if you got back late and tried to get a lie in, this wasn't easy, but only due to this factor. Otherwise the cleaners were great at cleaning and kept the place nice and clean.
- Alyona (10/5): Exceptional - I loved my stay there! Luis and Pamela are such great, friendly and accommodating hosts. The pods are spacious and comfortable. Coffee, fruits and fresh pastry for breakfast are included in the room rate, so that’s a plus. Location is good too.
- Karim (9/5): Superb - The bed has its private space, it is like a room in the room, with a locker inside and a ventilator. Also the room had its bathroom inside. Breakfast was decent as well The staff is not present after 5PM so it was complicated to enter when arrived because I didn't automatically receive the code to enter but eventually they answered the phone and guided us through how to enter
- Alicja (9/5): Superb - the capsules give you a lot of privacy
clean and tidy the bathroom floor was wet
the wifi was poor, it didn’t reach my pod
- Roman (9/5): Superb -
- Antonio (10/5): great - great staff with helpful advice, free fruit, good breakfast, good coffee, very private beds - fantastic
- Rosimar (10/5): Nice hostal. - Even though it is a hostel, the capsules are very comfortable. They allow you to have privacy and be quiet in your space. You can store your valuables in a trunk inside the capsule and it is protected. the rooms have a code to enter so only those who are sleeping in this room have access to it. In addition, it is in the heart of the city of Salta, so it has many shops around.
- Suzy (8/5): Very good -
- Delfi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional - Unbelievable price and the quality of the room. It's worth to stay more days
- Donna (8/5): central hostel with great staff. - Pamela is wonderful. it’s a good central location. the communal areas are very nice with high ceilings and chairs to relax. the pods were hot and the fans provided were noisy. the communal areas need more plug sockets. the breakfast is very basic.
- Péter (9/5): Superb - In the heart of the city. You have private space. Very kind staff. The pod can be very hot. It has a good fan, but the fan is noisy for sleeping.
- Maya (6/5): pleasant - it was good if you want to hide away from outside world for a few days. and I a good location and nice staff there isn’t any cooking facilities so be aware of that. the breakfast is minimal and nothing special. there isn’t really anywhere to sit and chill, the vibe of the place was kinda dead and a bit awkward.
- Beckytherese (9/5): Great hostel, worth a stay - Great hostel! Really nice sized, private pods Only down side - the pods got very hot on hot days, even with the fan they provide. They don't have a full kitchen, only microwave and hot water
- Kristina (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was super clean and the pods were so comfortable, plugs and usbs in the pods and a fan in each one for when it gets a bit warm
Staff was super welcoming and helpful with any questions we had The only thing I would say is maybe locks on the bathroom door it would help a lot with privacy!
- Alexander (9/5): Superb - Staff were really nice especially Pamela who gave us lots of advice on tours etc and gave me food when I was ill.
Clean.
Pods are nice for privacy. Breakfast was a little basic but it was free!
- Paulien (9/5): Superb - These pods are amazingly spacious, location is great and Pamela (host) is super helpful if you’re looking for a party hostel this isn’t your place
- Tina (10/5): Exceptional - The staff, Luis and Pam were both helpful and friendly.
Pods are spacious and the whole hostel very clean with spacious areas to relax. A nice touch is they offer complimentary coffee, biscuits and toast/bread Nothing
- Oded (8/5): Very good -
- Sofiia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebeka (8/5): Good quiet hostel if you want some privacy - The pods are very comfortable, and I really appreciated the privacy after staying in hostels for 2 months. The location is also very nice, everything you need or want to see is close. Everything was very clean. The staff is super nice and try their best to help you with tours:)
The hostel is very quiet, the kitchen is small but enough if you are not planning on really cooking (there is microwave, utensils, fridge, water dispenser and a coffee machine). The pods can get a little warm (they provide a fan which helps). If you want nice buzzing common areas this hostel might not be for you. If you plan on cooking properly same applies.
- Wissenbach (8/5): Very good - very new rooms, and the bathrooms were cleaned daily! luiz is super helpful and very acommodating! there could be more hooks to hang things and the pods were very hot at night, despite the fan in the room…
- Anna (9/5): Good hostel - The pods really made it feel a lot more private and comfortable. The entry is automated (you’re given a code to the building and the room), which is nice and easy but something to bear in mind if you anticipate any difficulties or would like to ask questions.
- Johann (10/5): recommend it, make sure you have connection when you do the check in as it’s everything with digital code -
- Johann (10/5): Exceptional -
