- Vincent (9/5): Un dépaysement total - Nous avons apprécié le côté insolite La gestion du chauffage
- Paulsen (8/5): Sentral og veldig unik koselig i Jordaan - Veldig sentralt ift Jordaan bydelen. Veldig rolig. Ingen støy fra byen. Stort fint bad med alt tilbehør av pleieartikler. Enkel inn og utsjekk.
- James (10/5): - We loved the bedroom and the view of the canal.
- R Clifford (8/5): Pleasant stay in quiet neighborhood off the beaten path. - The houseboat aspect of staying in A'Adam Two things mostly: the entrance to the houseboat was constantly blocked with the many bicycles; and two, there were no instructions on the use of the hot tub.
- Sonya (10/5): Wonderful experience and would stay here again. - Amazing experience to stay right on the water. Loved watching the water birds (coots and a grebe). Room was comfortable and we enjoyed the coffee maker in the room.

My Partner didn't want to go when it was time to leave.

In 5 minuti a piedi si era in centro

Non è mai stato necessario utilizzare i mezzi Letto difficile da fissare per fare il bagno

- Euro (10/5): Lovely houseboat! I would really love to stay there again! - We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sergio’s Houseboat! From the moment we arrived, everything felt special and unique. The location is superb — tucked away on a quiet canal in the charming Jordaan district, yet within easy walking distance of so many great cafés, shops and attractions. There's nothing I could say about this, all was fabulous!
- Anna (9/5): Romantic getaway hidden in the plain sight - Awesome concept with jacuzzi, ideal for romantic getaway in the heart of the city, many facilities (like kitchen with all the basic appliances, closet and a lot of storage space), super clean and cozy. Coffee machine wasn’t working while our stay, also water in a shower doesn’t go away soon so it might be flooded easily - but that’s minor things
- Euro (10/5): - I absolutely loved the bathtub and the incredibly comfortable bed—everything was thoughtfully arranged with great care. The host even left a box of essentials, and there’s a coffee machine ready to use along with everything you need to prepare a quick meal. The neighborhood is conveniently close to the city center, making it easy to explore. This has truly been my best stay along the canals! I can't complain about anything!
- Anastasiia (10/5): - Very nice and good view
- Elsa (10/5): Great - It was a last minute decision but what a gorgeous houseboat! Fast communication with Sergio, and easy check in. Loved the bed going up and finding a jacuzzi underneath! Lovely view over the water with the ducks by the windows. The studio has everything you need, even toiletries are provided, great coffe machine, dishwasher..
I’ll be back for sure!

- Emily (8/5): This houseboat is incredibly dreamy, the water birds were amazing! In love with the coot <3 - This houseboat was just sensational, the little birds would visit us every morning and afternoon. It was incredibly cosy and close enough to the city centre to walk but far enough away to escape a lot of the noise. Had a little bit of trouble with the key at first but the friend of the host was incredibly helpful and got us in :)
- Sarah (10/5): Peaceful weekend - Really relaxing and in lovely location. Nothing!
- Den (8/5): Very good -
- Gabriella (8/5): Very good - beautiful view, good location, perfect cleanliness
- Robert (9/5): It was lovely and made some great new memories there. - The view was amazing, and staying in a houseboat was a brilliant memory to make Nothing
- Dolors (6/5): Pleasant -
- Natalie (8/5): Cozy small room to enjoy the water - It's so cozy living in a boat, you can enjoy your coffee watching the water, getting visited by ducks (or on one occasion a swan). The room has everything you need from coffee to electric kettle, microwave, fridge, even wine glasses. There is no TV witch was no problem as you can just enjoy the view on the water It got cold in the bathroom as there is no heating there, but the room provides a small fan heater which can be put there before the shower. The showe itself has its challenges but can be managed. The double bed has only one blanket, there is an extra one under the bed but without sheets for it
- Wayne (9/5): Superb -
- Jenni (8/5): Nice little houseboat in a quiet area - The houseboat is located in a quiet area and is easy to walk to different parts of the city. There are a few restaurants and pubs nearby, and we recommend at least a visit to the Checkpoint Charlie pub across the canal.
The room itself was quite small, but the two of us could live in it for a week. Everything you need is in the room, including a fridge, kettle, coffee machine, crockery and a private shower and toilet. A pleasant surprise was the various cosmetic products, such as hairspray and cotton buds.
In the mornings a coot always swam under the window to say hello and it was lovely
Self check-in and check-out was effortless and the owners Michele and Sergio were great hosts. Amsterdam had hot and thundery days during our stay, so the room was really hot and a bit stuffy because the air didn't change. Clothes that had got wet in the rain would not dry in the room because there was nowhere to dry them. A few more hooks could be put on the wall.
- Hajni (10/5): Exceptional - The location is good. Self-check-in and out is great. The small apartment is very tiny for 2 people, but the equipment in the room is excellent. Micro, coffee machine, iron, etc. .
- Cilia (8/5): Very good -
- Steve (8/5): Very good -
- Harry (3/5): Unfortunately, my state was horrible. I left and went to a nearby hotel. - The property itself was beautiful on the inside. The windows looking over the canal were perfect. The front of the property could have been a little bit cleaner. The flowers in the box were dead. Bugs and spiderwebs cover the door. The first day I open the bathroom door and it smells like raw sewage. The floor was wet so I assumed they had just finished mopping the floor. The next morning I go into the bathroom to shower and there’s water coming out of the drain. again it smelled like raw sewage. I want a refund.
- Joseph (3/5): nice staff. over-priced / rated room given the age and finishings of the boat - staff VERY helpful value wise its simply not worth it. Because its in ‘Amsterdam’ it doesn’t mean it needs to be overpriced. Yet just fair for what you offer.
- Lisa (6/5): Pleasant - The location was good. It showed an outdoor space. Neither if the houseboat tenants were able to use it. The outdoor space was one of the main reasons we chose it. It also could have been more clean.
- Lorna (9/5): Superb - The terrace and the area Should have picked the bigger room :)
- Anthony (9/5): Excellent stay and would definitely stay again if we come back to Amsterdam - Location and the atmosphere of your houseboat was excellent . It had everything we needed and was truly peaceful place to rest and wake up to after a long day of sightseeing. The windows could have something to lock when open so the wind doesn't bang them or blow them shut. It could also have some new blinds that work properly and not broken and a new fan
- Martina (6/5): Pleasant - Location Bed uncomfortable and could do with revamp outside and in
- Jess (9/5): Superb - Great location a bit away from the city, about 20 min walk. Beautiful room by the river. Lovely stay, nice use of table on top of the boat. Expensive accommodation. Had the windows open at night for some breeze and got absolutely attacked by mosquitos
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (8/5): Despite a few annoying issues we liked the canal boat, enjoyed our stay and loved Amsterdam - The location was great, shops and eating close by and the document left for the guests was first class. It had all we needed, space adequate and bed comfortable. Slippery steps to get to the front door. A mosquito problem - could do with some sort of fly screen. ( nowhere could we buy insect repellant). The room was hot and we needed to have the window open but at night the insects attacked.
Lack of maintenance - I tightened the screws in the room lock to make it functional, the main door needed a key to be locked from the outside and we found other guests just slammed the door and left , leaving it unlocked. Needs a different lock or a sign in several languages.
Room is very hot in sunny weather so supply of a fan would be an improvement.
- Carilta (9/5): Excellent value for money, great location, easy to access. - Location was excellent. Toilet flush broke but we fixed it.
- Chee (5/5): Passable -
- Kaaren (6/5): Quiet Canal stay - Great location. Roof top garden was scraggly so couldn't access it
- Elizabeth (6/5): Great location very quiet - Very clean , bed was very comfortable had my best sleep in weeks staff contact was excellent
Easy instructions to access accommodation Needs some maintenance when paying this type of money it should be as good as the photos
- Patrick (9/5): Cute houseboat in the best area - Great location, best area in the city to stay in; safe, quiet, close to the center and most things you want to see, and the Jordaan area where the houseboat is located is just absolutely stunning, can walk around all day and just get lost in the beautiful streets. It's a cute house boat, can't go wrong, great experience. The sitting area with the openable windows was also great for us :) We got an early check-in as requested. It mostly had everything you need for a 6 night stay. Smaller room and Honestly can't say many bad things about this place, but the price is quite high for most countries standard. We wanted to be in the center area at any cost though, and it was pretty comparable with other options in the area, although we could have been in a nice hotel for the same price (we preferred something more down to earth like this though). Therefore for this price, the following small things should be improved. The blinds could be updated, they are quite old and a little broken, if you are inside at day, boats pass by, but you still want sunlight and the nice view, so it's best to have them at a desired height, which you couldn't do with 2 of them (you could lover them only a little bit or fully). A hook or a place to hang the hand towel was missing. The main light is broken with cables dangling outside. Also if it's really hot, there's no cooling, on super hot summer days, it's probably not fun to be inside at day (we had one super sunny 26 degree day, and it was hard being inside.
- Monica (8/5): A very good relation with the host, a fantastic experience (city, accomodation, trips) - A real experience, for the first time accomodated on family boat. Very clean, cozy, everything we need taking into consideration the space in the room. A lot of friendly birds at the window😂 good position related to the center, safe area. Nothing particulary, but the room next door has a better position, it is like in the photo. We expected to have a similar room but we managed to stay most of the time outside so…was okay.
- Lara (6/5): Pleasant - The location was perfect, check in / check out was very easy There was no toilet paper so we contacted the host, he then told us to buy it ourself because the cleaner forgot to place it… Also there were moldy spots everywhere & the functionalty of the front lock was a 50/50 chance if you can get in or not
The heating didn‘t work so we left the electric
heater run while we were awake but it was freezing during the night
- Michael (8/5): Houseboat in Amsterdam, need I say more? - Awesome staying on the water. Apartment was cozy and charming. Good location and felt great being on a quiet canal and quiet street. Smaller apartment, bathroom could be a bit nicer, but overall was a pleasant stay.
- Hao-pang (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Next to 2 bus stops. 2 stops from train station. Good communication between host and room was fabulous. Was chilly but it was that time of year. Extra duvet in room. Independent heater in room.
- Marygrace (8/5): Very good - The view, the bed and the little nook area. Owners were fast reply and they let us have an early check-in. There was mold in some places and the shower curtain was kind of gross.
- Khai00 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harry (9/5): A delightful stay we enjoyed every minute would stay again - Very spacious and cosy Could do with a toaster
- Hollie (10/5): The most perfect stay for an emersive Amsterdam experience, everything we needed was a short walk away and being able to - The location was perfect, we had everything we needed and truly experienced the city like a local. Would definitely book again. Maybe update the microwave, but other than that there are no complaints.
- Mark (8/5): Very good - Peace and quiet and location No tv
- Marcus (10/5): Amazing way to discover Amsterdam - Beautiful and comfortable cabins in downtown Amsterdam. Great hosts Everything was perfect
- Katrina (8/5): Very good -
- Adrianus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Madison (10/5): Third time in Amsterdam, best accomodation experience of them all - Incredible location
Super cosy and very comfortable
Lovely views
Fully equipped with everything needed for a fantastic stay The bathroom is super cute, only thing is that water goes everywhere - we just left the light and fan on while out to ensure it all dries quickly
- Matthew (7/5): Good - Very cozy especially in the evening, great location walkable to the centre/public transport and the welcome basket of towels/booklet etc was much appreciated - fridge works great and property has a kettle and microwave, was perfect for a short stay. Quite a lot of mold in the room, definitely put a damper on what would otherwise be a great property. Also the bathroom doesn't seem to have a proper extractor fan, either that or it wasn't working meaning the bathroom would stay damp hours after showering.
- Robert (4/5): We left after one night - Didn’t look that clean and was way out of town. Had a hard time getting an Uber.
- Glyn (6/5): A fantastic location but the facilities needed to be properly checked before we started our vacation - The location was amazing The radiator was not working properly and we only found out about another small heater two days into the stay, the light was not working above the bed and the shower switch was not functioning properly.
- Karakasheva (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anastasia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ramirez (10/5): We had a great time! Perfect location and great houseboat! - Wonderful location and unique experience of staying on a houseboat in Amsterdam. The bed was also cozy! The unit was not clean when we checked in, though the host responded quickly and got someone there to clean it up ASAP.
- Dolores (7/5): Too small for longer stay . Rest area on top is impossible to access , maybe younger active kids only . - Location Bathroom
- D (5/5): Passable - The windows are charming and we loved the neighborhood and location. There is a light rail that makes a noise while crossing a close by bridge which took us awhile to figure out and get used to. Hi, I think the owners need to update the photographs of the property. I understand it is an older place but you get the impression from the photographs you can sit on an outside deck which isn't the case. Also half the lights and electrical seems to have some problems, the little fridge did not cool even though lights turn on in it. The stair case coming onto the barge is a little sketchy and could use a railing.
- Robertos (9/5): Superb - It was all perfect, from the location to the window view All good
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Yi (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (8/5): Lovely place to stay if you have never stayed at a boat house - Cosy very cute place to stay
- Walker (8/5): Nice little stay - The location was stunning, away from the busy city and a chance to eat and drink in local places.
Loverly walks in and out of the city. The house boat was extremely warm, the host did help by providing a fan.
- Sab (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sam (8/5): It was fantastice night for me living at the houseboat. - The Location of the Houseboat was good. The experience of being in the boathouse, where you are inside the canal, was fantastic. Also, the owner responded quickly, and the self-check-in was very user-friendly :). Although there was a heater in the room, the room was cold at that time. Also, it would be good if some house slippers were provided.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Das (6/5): Pleasant - All Facilities were provided, place was clean and neat...it's 20 mins walk from dam square..only disadvantage was it's really really small even for a couple with small bags
- Jones (7/5): Good -
- Ailish (9/5): Superb -
- Margaret (7/5): Good - It was wonderful to be sleeping on a houseboat in Amsterdam, looking out at the canal and the birdlife. There were lovely little touches e.g. a basket with toiletries. We didn't like the lack of a handrail from the path on to the boat, though we believe this will be rectified. Also, it was a bit cold, thank goodness for extra bedding. And the was no rail on the high bed.
- Dimitar (3/5): Poor -
- Anna (10/5): We had such a nice and romantic staying in the studio room! - Just as we were expected, the studio room was very nice. we loved the view and the little local visitors the ducks. :) The location is very good and quiet. We used the extra heating system at night, which was super useful. The bathroom was a little bit cold, especially the floor.
- Diogo (9/5): Superb -
- Konstantin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shobhana (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): lovely stay - great location and views
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Coralie (6/5): It's not a hotel, it's a unique experience that I would recommend. - Very clean throughout, comfy bed, good quality bedding and towels. Warm, plenty of hot water. Fun to be so close to the water that the young swan could peck on the window. Good location. Idiosyncratic and a unique (good) experience. See photo taken from the window. Main reason for lower score: we never received the info about gaining access via keycode. I even messaged property 2 days before on Booking.com to ask about arrangements but they never replied. As a result we waited 45mins in rain before phoning the dutch phone number - who were very efficient. Key safe and door to room awkward - need to be agile - I don't think my husband would have been able to open the keysafe. You have to squeeze between bicycles to get to front door (maybe it's not an official entrance as far as the authorities are concerned).
Room is very small - only one person can move around at a time. 2 chairs: 1 creaky the other partially collapsed during stay. Unlikely to be able to use microwave as well above head height. Shower room is a boat wetroom so expect a wet floor in the toilet. Only sink for washing hands etc is in the kitchenette where we washed up. Bathroom and other parts are tired - chipped paint, manky grouting, door handles falling off, handles on drawers broken.
- Gordon (10/5): Spent a lot of time in the house boat - with the view times flies! - wonderful location - fantastic house boat full of lovely little touches. 10/10
- Francois (8/5): This rental is worthwhile when done in advance (as cheaper) - Swans and water birds coming to knock at the window to welcome you and beg for some food :-0
The availabiility of a hair straightener and hairdrier for girlies. The bath tub sink concept is a bit confusing but necessary as the room is tiny (but cosy).
The use of multi sockets outlets can be problematic when they break...
- Andrea (10/5): We totally loved it! - Lovely place, comfortable, tidy and intimate. We felt in love with the place. It's small but VERY comfortable. Despite being on the water there were no mosquitoes! The host has been very kind and helpful. I hope to come back soon again! Lovely for couples.
