• Martina (10/5): A unique and relaxing boat stay in a peaceful part of Amsterdam - Staying on this boat in Amsterdam was an unforgettable experience! The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, and the hosts were very welcoming, they even put slovenian flag on the boat during our stay. The location is peaceful yet just a short, easy trip to the city center. We especially loved the nearby Balinese and French restaurants—both amazing! Truly a unique and memorable stay. /

• Annette (10/5): Wonderful and unique stay on the houseboat! - We had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Sailor Suite Coaster Mado! It was the perfect place to explore Amsterdam and the surrounding areas. Marieke and Sander are the best hosts ever!! The kitchen was stocked with plenty of coffee plus chocolate and wine and beer. Our hosts made several suggestions for local restaurants, all were great. They also directed us to the busses and trams we would need during our stay. The communication with our hosts was exceptional from the time of the initial booking.

• Brian (10/5): A unique and restful space close to central Amsterdam but within its own vibrant locality. - Well designed and surprisingly spacious. It looked good and we quickly settled in and felt at home. The fridge and cupboards were generously preloaded and the microwave, coffee capsule machine and kettle gave us plenty of options. Sander set up a WhatsApp group before we arrived and gave us great suggestions of restaurants, bike hire shops and places to visit. The is a small but well chosen selection of books, in English and Dutch, about Amsterdam, the locality, boats and the people who live on them. There is also a chalkboard for guests to make recommendations to future visitors. The Eastern Docklands is a fascinating area, with a cycle ferry to North A’dam which is another developing and exciting area. I couldn’t think of any way it could be improved when Sander asked for suggestions.
• Virgil (10/5): Nice staying on a boat - It was a great experience to sleep on a boot! It is a very nice room with everything you need and Mariieke & Sander are very nice people! The boat is not right in the center but can be easily reached by bus or bike

The place itself is lovely, super quiet and peaceful with and amazing view of the city. The bed was amazingly comfortable, rested really well there. Public transportation is in short distance by walk. Honestly have nothing not that good to say, everything went amazing. The only (tiny) thing was the temperature at night but guess it's normal as I'm used to warmer temperatures and we were literally under water. Also I've had a heater available so it was not a big deal.

• Stephanie (10/5): Fun weekend staying on a beautiful houseboat! - We had a great time on Coaster Mado this past weekend. The boat is lovely and was the perfect size for our family of four. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, and even left us treats to enjoy… one night, my husband and I put the kids to bed and sat on the deck with our drinks, which was a very cool end to our busy day. We used several of the Hosts’ recommendations for activities and restaurants and were pleased to have that info. 3 days in Amsterdam just wasn’t enough, so we will definitely be back to stay again… and take advantage of the swimming hole beside the boat when it’s warmer outside. Highly recommend booking! Everything was great.
