• SIFELANI (9/5): First time in a Capsule but great experience and hospitable Staff - The Staff was good. I enjoyed the bathing pools. Don't mind staying again. Very close to a Train Station and shops. Will recommend friends as well. Cant complain
• Jordan (9/5): Highly recommend, if you don't mind sleeping in a pod... - Obviously this is a capsule hotel, your "room" is just a bed with a locker for storage, however if you've ever stayed in a hostel I think you'll be pleased with how comfortable the beds are. If you want to sit down there's plenty of space in the communal areas, I'd mainly recommend this venue to people who plan to spend most of their time elsewhere in Tokyo, and just need a place at the end of the day to wash and sleep. The staff weren't fluent in English but did provide full instructions via a printout so I had no problems with understanding the expected etiquette for the stay. As a non-Japanese person I mostly booked this for the novelty of it, but I really enjoyed the public bath. If you're fine with being naked around other men then you'll appreciate sitting in the hot water at the end of a busy day - very relaxing! This isn't too centrally located but it's close to a station that can take you to Akebihara, and from there you can easily get to anywhere else in Tokyo. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants in the local area, as well as some coin-operated laundry machines if you need clean clothes! It was a little awkward climbing into the capsule, although if that's a problem for you I'm sure you could request a floor level one instead. I did think it was a bit stuffy at night, the ventilation/air conditioning isn't great.

• Duncan (10/5): Good value for money, and nice onsen experience. - Definitely a more local experience. Hotel includes an onsen, game room, and old Japanese men reading the newspaper in slippers. Nonetheless, the value for money is hard to beat. If you are flying in/out of Narita Airport, I would highly recommend staying here. Hard to complain at $22 a night.

• ito (3/5): 耳栓 - 大型換気扇二台使いによる強制換気での風呂場の換気効果を確認出来る。 宿とは関係ありませんが朝まで叫んでいる人と、いびき合唱団がコラボして寝れず、翌日は頭が痛くて仕事になりませんでした。カプセルに泊まる際は耳栓を持って行きましょう。

• Nicholas (9/5): Incredibly relaxing, pleasant and private break from busy travelling. - Fantastic. It is a hotel onsen (male only, no tattoos). Game room floor, capsule room and smoking room floor, onsen floor. Vending machines to enjoy a drink on the shared sofas after a soak (also beer vending machine). The capsules are very 70s which I love as the modern ones feel claustrophobic. They replaced your towels and robes daily, and are good at keeping track of guests needs. There's an awesome local bar just on the corner (Kotetsu Koiwa Kitaguchi), locals getting drunk and talkative anytime of day. Many great restaurants in the area. It's a hassle going to the staff to take my shoes out of the locked cupboard every time I go out. I don't think the radio in my capsule worked, which was disappointing. It is very easy to make lots of sounds on the plastic walls of the capsules.

• Max (3/5): Unpleasant to say the least - The capsules were pretty cool and futuristic looking. - Staff didn't know any english at all, which surprised me since every place i've been in Japan until now had staff with some english speaking ability. We had to rely on translator throughout the whole interaction. - Capsule pods were hot and the air quality was poor. - Shoes are held hostage at the reception in exchange for your access key to the hotel. To get the shoes back you have to turn in the key back in every time. Again, first time in Japan i'm encountering something like this. I did not like it, if they don't trust me as their guest, then i don't trust them in return.
