• Angela (10/5): Authentic family run accomodation in perfect location - A gem of an apartment right on the beach about as close to the water as you can get with sun lounges right out in front. Water is super clear and clean here due to fresh water springs from the mountains. Petro was very welcoming and attentive. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Thanks to the private beach, we always had sunbeds and umbrellas available. The apartments are air-conditioned, clean, and regularly serviced. What makes the stay truly exceptional is the kindness, helpfulness, and outstanding service of the owners, Petro and her father – once again, thank you very much for the wonderful stay you helped create.

• Tracie (10/5): A magical retreat right on the beach!! Beautiful family hosts - From the moment we arrived we had the most wonderful trip with Petro!! Petro is an incredibly kind and generous host - ensuring we felt welcomed and showed us around the property and beach. We felt we were staying with a family who truly cared about us! The apartment was lovely, tidy and clean, and had everything we needed for basic cooking. We were able to sit on the balcony and look straight into the ocean and enjoy the most stunning views!! Bonus points as Petro has umbrellas and chairs on the beach for you to enjoy. Any questions we had, or restaurant recommendations we needed, Petro gave the best answers! • Laura (10/5): - Nos encantó todo . Es el paraíso !!! La ubicación en primera línea con unas aguas transparentes como nunca hemos visto ( y somos españoles ) . El hecho de tener hamaca y sombrilla justo debajo de la habitación hace que la estancia sea deliciosa . La habitación triple con todo lo necesario y una terraza que tomarse un café en ella es de ensueño ! Petro y su familia encantadores ! Serviciales , dispuestos a ayudar en todo lo posible , atentos , encantadores con el niño . Muy muy recomendable . Le hemos dicho que volvemos el año que viene .. con eso lo digo todo ! • Russell (10/5): Himare was such a beautiful place to visit - this was the perfect place to stay. - We loved the beachfront location (private beach with their own free sun-lounges and umbrellas), the exceptional service from the friendly host Petros (suggested great restaurants…even booked taxis for us), and the spectacular views from the balcony.

• View (10/5): Highly recommend this property and the host! - The apartments are wonderful, the location is absolutely excellent, you step literally off the property straight onto the beach. There are great sun umbrellas and beach beds for hotel guest use. Parking is perfect, secure and off road. Again. Literally across the road is a min mart, multiple restaurants and bars surround the property and you can walk just 50 meters to a beach bar. The apartment has a small kitchen, so we self catered for breakfast and lunch. The outstanding point of this property though is the host Petro. Petro was charming, full of local information and always on hand with a smile and a cheerful greeting. A wonderful stay! Nothing

• Donaldas (10/5): House in perfect location - Perfect location for beach holidays - just on the beach. Small privat beach with sun umbrellas ( included in price ) in front of the house. Balcony wit sea view. Privat parking ( 7 eur/day ). Very friendly host Petro. He gave us lot of advises. Many restaurants close to the house.

Care and attention the multi-generational owners took in everything they did, from room cleaning to property maintenance and upkeep. Somewhat small shower; ease of accidentally getting bathroom floor wet.
• Kirsty (10/5): What a location! Highly recommended - Probably the best located room I’ve ever stayed in! Literally right on a beautiful beach, and we had a room at the back with the most incredible sea views from our balcony and the sound of the waves to sleep to. Appreciated the sunbeds and parasols available for use but tucked away so that the little stretch of beach in front of the apartments felt untouched. We had plans to do lots of day trips to other towns and beaches but struggled to tear ourselves away from Potam beach in the end! Short, easy walk to Himare town, but Potami also has great restaurants and bars, personally I preferred being here than right in Himare. Comfortable beds, and decently appointed room. Hosts were brilliant, Petro was really friendly and helpful with lots of tips on local area. Wish we could’ve stayed longer, but hope to return! Would recommend. Only suggestion that could maybe make the room a bit better is shutters/blind at the kitchen window to keep it darker early in morning, and extra pillows.

• Diana (10/5): The most perfect spot for a local stay in Himarë - Please do yourself a favour and stay here when visting Himarë! The best part of this property is the location. It's in a quieter/less touristy part of Himarë (which we wanted) but still on the main road with direct beach access. We loved feeling like we were living amongsts locals and taking advantage of a pristine and empty beach. The apartment itself was perfect, clean and comfortable. But the most amazing part is the view that we were lucky enough to have. Our balcony overlooked the private beach and the stunning water and rugged coastline, the perfect spot for a morning coffee or a sunset drink. Petro was an incredibly kind and gracious host, who welcomed us upon arrival and spent some time chatting and getting to know us. He was able to answer all our questions (both prior to and during our stay) and provided a number of recommendations for local places to eat and things to do. Petro runs the property with his family, and we were so happy to be supporting such a high-quality, family-run business. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Himarë and would encourage anyone looking for accommodation in the area to consider Magic Ionian. Highly recommend and can't wait to return! Only that we couldn't stay longer!
• David (10/5): Exceptional - Petro was amazing. Super friendly, loads of detail, very responsive, lots of discussion of the area, gave us a bottle of olive oil to try from his parents’ olive grove. Only steps away from restaurants including Taverna Stolis with great food and garden. Allowed us to stay a few hours after checkout and borrow some beach towels for the day. His dad found our son’s memory card from digital camera on the beach. Mom did our son’s laundry. So kind.
• Una (9/5): Would love to stay here again - Originally I planned on staying 2 nights but I extended to 4 nights, that's how much I enjoyed my solo holiday here. I stayed in two different rooms, first with ocean view, then facing the back. Both were spacious, comfortable and clean, although quite basic. It's a no-frills family-guesthouse style accommodation. The owner is super friendly, helpful and responsive. Most of all, the location perfectly met my needs for a quiet, relaxing corner on a beach with immediate access to crystal clear waters, plenty of restaurant options and a minimarket within walking distance, plus a beautiful sunset view. I'd love to stay here again. On a Friday night some youngsters gathered nearby for a beach party. Not much you can do about that other than bring earplugs. Waking up in the morning to the tranquil sound of ocean waves made up for it. Also, the lamps by the bed had barely enough light to read by, but this is a minor issue.

The direct beach access was amazing, and the host, Pedro, was very friendly and welcoming. There was nothing to complain about; everything was great.

• Paul (10/5): Fantastic stay in Himare!! - The direct access to the beach . The small property and grounds well kept, clean and parking possible inside , close to restaurants. Also a very quiet place. Our room was large, clean, modern and comfortable, good size kitchen if needed, beds comfortable, a large balcony and sea view . Everything works well. Good air conditioning. The host Petro is very welcoming , available, has a nice personality, so kind and helpful, speaks well English. He will answer all your questions. Clear instructions and recommendations. This is a great place, we recommend highly for everyone and we hope to come back!! Nothing, all good!

• Rinaha (10/5): Our favourite stop in Albania! Beach front bliss! - The host Petro was so welcoming and kind. The location is perfect, beach front on the quieter end of the beach with crystal clear water and free beach chairs/umbrellas. This place was our favourite stop in Albania! There are many restaurants a short walk away and mini mart. Air con worked well, good sized room and lovely balcony. Highly recommend! You pay extra for private parking as this is limited to 3 cars (7€ a day). Not a big deal but good to know before hand.

• Michael (10/5): Exceptional - We had a fantastic stay at Magic Ionian Apartments & Rooms. The apartment hotel is located with direct access to the beach with crystal clear water. We had the Two room apartment on the ground floor which was perfect for us as a family. The apartment was simple but it had everything we needed for our stay. Everything you need is close by - a grocery store and a cafe is 50m away and plenty of restaurant are also nearby. We would definitely like to come back. Thanks Petro and family for a great vacation
• Ferdinand (10/5): Incredible place with wonderful hosts right on the beach - This is a truly family run place, and the owners are extremely hospitable, friendly and helpful. The rooms/flats are right on the beach, which is perfect. We were in the ground floor flat, which was wonderful for our children, as they also had access to a small garden to play in, as well as the beach. It is outstanding value for money and a definite 10/10. The rooms are very simple, but comfortable, and their simplicity is why they are in the price bracket they are in. It is not a hotel, so the rooms aren't cleaned every day, but we stayed 5 nights, and the room was cleaned thoroughly once and also given a quick clean another day. We were satisfied with the cleanliness. The beach is a stony one, and it's a little steep, but personally I like beaches which don't have too much shallow water, and you are almost immediately swimming. You have everything you need very close by - a grocery store is about 50m away and there are plenty of good restaurants and cafes nearby. A particular favourite of ours was Stolis, just 200m up the road. The town centre with more restaurants, bars and shops is just a 15-20 min walk away along a nice promenade. Do remember to specify if you are driving. Parking space is limited to three cars and is charged extra, and space is a bit tight (but perfectly manageable). Overall, I strongly recommend.

• Rikke (9/5): Get back to the original holiday vibe from the past with no crowds when we there end June. - Best position direct to the crystal blue Ionian sea and very calm surroundings. In the morning you just jump out of the bed and then into the reserved sunbeds right in front of the hotel and enjoy the sunny day. A special experience was the seawater, which was mixed up with a crystal clear freshwater spring surfacing right on the beach with zero pollution. The spring then mixed with the ocean and in the surface due to how fresh water mix with salt water, you have a layer of fresh cold water which was a very special experience one should experience. The beach had none of the usual pushy sales people which was another upside :-) The people running the hotel, daddy Simon and his son Petro was the most attending and kind people we have experienced - always ready to help with questions or fix pratical issues. Think the interior in our room could have a little upgrade regarding chairs on the balcony and a chair inside and some hooks for hanging your clothes - all easy fixes with positive impact.

• Nicoline (8/5): Basic accommodation, right on the beach - - Nice little private beach with sunbeds and umbrellas - Close to bars and restaurants, but far enough away from the noise from the main boulevard - The room was cleand once during our 3 night stay, which was very nice - Bathroom completely floods everytime you shower, shower turns hot/cold all the time - Beds were a littttle hard - We booked this place mainly because it was one of the few to be right on the beach. However, most apartments are max 5 min from the beach. Here you pay mostly for the location

• Anonymous (9/5): A relaxing, laid back stay on a beautiful beach. - The location of this property was excellent. Situated on the very end of a beautiful beach with sun loungers and umbrellas available. Spoilt for choice with beach bars and tavernas. The host of this property went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable for us. There was noise late at night from the neighbouring beach bars, but that’s a fair price to pay for such a gorgeous location.
