- Joshua (9/5): - Friendly staff and amazing Dog 🐕

- Anne (7/5): - The room and bathroom were clean. I had to leave very early and the staff prepared my breakfast. Staff didn’t communicate well with each other, and the experience wasn’t very welcoming for non-Spanish speakers.
- Jordi (10/5): - Excelente
- Agustina (10/5): -
- Luz (8/5): Agradável estadia - Um grande casarão no estilo Bariloche. Porta do quarto nao trancava.
- Matiello (10/5): - Excelente
Confortável
Perto do centro
- Sergio (8/5): -
- Jyoti (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jocasta (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the vibe and the hostel staff were so friendly and helpful Maybe could have had another bathroom/ shower facility
- Leonie (3/5): Poor - I recently stayed at this hostel, and while it had some positive aspects, there were a few areas that could use improvement.
The location is cool, nestled in a nice garden, which makes for a peaceful setting. However, it’s a bit outside of town, so you'll need transportation to get to the main attractions.
Breakfast was quite limited, with no buffet options, which was a bit disappointing considering the price. Also, something that stood out was that this was the only place where we had to make a payment in advance, and they only offered one payment method. This could be a bit of a hassle, especially for foreign travelers.
Additionally, the room description on Booking.com was not quite accurate. The actual room didn’t match what was described, which was a letdown.
Another issue was the bathroom. It wasn’t well-maintained, and it was clear that it could really use a plumber. Some things weren’t working properly, and it didn’t feel very clean.
Overall, it’s a decent place if you don’t mind being away from the town center, but there are definitely some areas that could be improved for a more convenient and comfortable stay.
- Ami (3/5): Old and dirty - The staff is pretty nice and try to help Old. Dirty. Cracking floor makes it very noisy.
Poor non-healthy breakfast. The kitchen is also dirty and doesn’t provide the minimum to make even the dishes cleaner. The whole property is lack with light…
- Stefano (8/5): Very good - The staff is very kind The stairs make noise
- Nicolas (8/5): Very good -
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Beaver1961 (9/5): Superb - Great big garden, the dorms are a bit tight like the lot of people in a small area, but still okay. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- Emmett (8/5): Valhalla I am Coming! - The staff were great, especially Ana. She's the best!
Nice location away from the too busy in summer town. Lovely garden area with hammocks. The house is very noisy. Probably due to the wooden build design. The stairs creaked like crazy!
- Beaver1961 (9/5): Superb -
- Federico (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alvaro (10/5): An exceptional place to stay - First of all, the friendliness of the staff. Even though you are not at home, you can feel it as if you were. Second, the location and the space. It has a very cozy lounge and if you want to spend time outdoors it’s also nice. It’s a beautiful place to stay in general. Perhaps this was due to the particulars day we went but they were refinishing some spaces on the property and early in the morning and late in the afternoon you can hear the hammer banging. This was a bit annoying. And on the other hand, there were days that we didn’t have hot water to shower.
- Johanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Perfect for our visit! - Beautiful house, very friendly, and perfect location with the bus stop a few minutes walk away
- Caroswiderski (10/5): Exceptional -
- Giulia (1/5): don't book this - nothing they were not polite, did not follow the payment rules they presented in booking and didn't cancel when I said I wouldn't oblige
- Lonny (8/5): Friendly staff in a unique Alpine house - Friendly staff, unique Alpine house on large property with breakfast
- Nik (2/5): Rather stay somewhere else - Location, outside look of the hostel. Misleading information - hostel provided a transfer from the airport, price should be 3400 ARS as they wrote to me before taking this service, after drop-off driver charged me 8900 ARS. It made the begining of my stay very unpleasant. I would not take this service if I knew that before. If a plane had a delay or whatever is not my fault, driver knew my flight number so he should adjust. That is called offering a transfer. If there is a night rate I should be informed in advence since I provided the flight data.
DO not book a room with 8 beds, since THERE ARE ACTUALLY 9 beds in the room and the room is even more packed.
On Booking is written paying in cash with USD, when I arrived with USD and wanted to pay they said they accept only ARS. Irronicaly they have a sign on the front desk that they accept all the credit cards (photo attached). I had to return to the town to get the cash.
Place is outdated on the inside, hot water dripping from the tap of shower and an open drain in the middle of the bathroom, lots of noise coming from the wooden stairs.
Simply do not understand how this place has such a high score on the Booking.
Real dissapointment.
- Fernandez (7/5): Good -
- Aveline (9/5): Superb - Beautiful hostel, the environment is calm and relaxing atmosphere. Out of centre but closer to other other attractions as a result. Not a lot of space in the rooms and plug sockets limited.
- Axel (9/5): Superb -
- Pau (7/5): cozy and friendly - really cozy hostel and nice people unstable wifi and kitchen gaggets could be more clean
- Rebeka (9/5): Best place to stay in Bariloche - The garden and location is amazing (a bit outside the city but I liked that, and city center is a 10 minute bus ride). Everyone is super friendly and chill, and they bake their own bread for breakfast:)
There is a bunch of packing space in the bathroom and room as well. Beds were comfy but we were a bit tight in the room.
- Ry (9/5): Superb -
- Jorge (9/5): Superb -
- Gemma (6/5): Pleasant - Inexpensive, nice common area, nice breakfast and family room. Flexible in changing rooms when we got unlucky with snorers in the dorm. Excellent location for heading out to Circuito Chico. Odd vibe from some staff, loud music playing in common area in the evenings, not enough bathrooms for the number of people staying and shower wastewater exit pipe open in bathroom.
- Fiona (8/5): Very good -
- Hermine (7/5): Good -
- R (3/5): Worst place ever - Nothing The room doesn't have any space. The shower didn't work well and is inside the toilet area. There were people sleeping everyspace on the commun area.
The breakast is awful. One piece of bread, one slice of cake (not fresh) and you need to wash your dishes after
- David (8/5): Very good - Clean rooms and comfy beds and location Felt like one of the staff members was really not that helpful
- Emily (7/5): Good - Beautiful garden, very serene and nice hammocks.
Good kitchen.
Friendly.
- Ana (9/5): Superb -
- Colmenares (8/5): Very good -
- Marco (7/5): Good -
- David (6/5): Pleasant - The staff Our bathroom and the breakfast.
- Kim (7/5): Okay. - the house is amazing! the people in the hostel are awesome (that changes per group obviously) Hot showers were nonexistent unless you pushed a button on the top floor. The manager would get mad if you pushed the button on the top floor…
Online is says check in is at 1 PM. I got there at 3:30 PM after an 18 hr bus. I was told check in was at 4 PM. I literally sat in the living room watching the girl who told me this do nothing for a half hour. it’s one thing if there isn’t a bed ready but she just sat there not going to the room to make sure everything was ready. when 4 PM came I went up and was like can I check in and she was like oh yeah okay. She told another staff member to check me in. I asked him why I had to wait until 4 and he had no clue. got to the room and there were at least 6 beds made and ready to go. didn’t make any sense to make me wait a half hour just because she didn’t want to take 5 minutes to check me in.
Can’t wear shoes upstairs. not a big deal just a little odd.
location is far from
downtown/bus station/airport. you have to take a taxi or bus. if you take the bus you can use your SUBE card but can’t pay in cash.
- Basil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Célia (10/5): Family hostel - I was supposed to stay one week there but I ended up staying two weeks instead! Apart from the nice common areas, above all, I met such nice people there (the volunteers and the other travelers). I really felt like part of a family. I also loved the garden and the fully-equipped kitchen. The hostel is also well located because it’s not the center but at the same time, there are a lot of buses available to move in the center or go for a hike!
- Vincent (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vincent (10/5): Exceptional - Valhalla is the best hostel in town. Period and full stop. I liked everything! Especially the staff is amazing
