Guest Reviews
- Yoshi (10/5): - We stayed in a peaceful and beautiful place with kind and beautiful family. At the time we were on our own downstairs in our room.a d kitchen and bathroom facilities. It was a little cold on the first night only but the hosts couldn't do enough to make our stay happy and comfortable even providing their personal items like dressing gown, hot water bottle and eco lamp. Above all Lilit's and Tatev's sincere warmth, care, kindness and hospitality were above anything else we have experienced before, we didn't want to leave. I'm sure we will be back as soon as we can. Dilijan and location of the house are absolutely perfect for hikes towards Haghartsin, Matosavanq, Juxtakvanq and Goshavanq. The city itself is really interesting and peaceful. There are some stray dogs occasionally but also very peaceful and welcoming 😊. We'll be back ❤️🙏

- Emma (10/5): Lovely rustic traditional family home, with an amazing view. - Lilit has a beautiful house, and a wonderful view. We were very happy here for a week and could have stayed much longer quite comfortably. Thank you for your hospitality Lilit 🥰 N/A
- Marta (10/5): Ojakh means the hearth, the spiritual and physical center of the home - This guesthouse is a little corner of heaven, very peaceful and authentic! Lilith is the kindest host I ever met! I will come back in the future ❤️
- Guest (10/5): This place is as incredible as its owner. No more words are needed. If I’m ever back in this area, I’ll definitely stop -
- Renato (10/5): - Lilith is an absolutely wonderful host and the hostel attracts a cool crowd. The kitchen is well equipped and the there's many places to chill. It's a bit far from the center, but it's easy (and cheap) to get there by bus or yandex.
- donna (10/5): Warm welcome! - Warm welcome from Lilly and the excellent atmosphere amongst guests. The Accomodation and facilities are exactly as described and in the photos. The toilet facilities are basic, but very clean. It’s 5-10 minutes walking to the centre.
- mohammed (8/5): -
- Sara (9/5): Home feeling hostel - The owner lily is very nice as well as her family. The common area is cool and with nice views. The bathroom needs an update
- Luca (8/5): - Great little guesthouse located a bit outside of the downtown area but with only 100 Dram, you can get there by bus, which stops 100m from the guesthouse (if you stay on the bus, it'll take you almost all the way to the trailhead for the 2 abandoned monasteries so pretty good deal).
Nice owners who speak English, small but functional kitchen, good wifi, great outdoor sitting area, chill environment, and decent rooms for the price. The bathroom is not the best and the water is not really hot but for the price is OK
- Johnpaul (8/5): Very good -

- Lucas (10/5): Exceptional - A true taste of Armenia.
If you’re looking for something real, come here. The people are pure, the hospitality is unforgettable, and the generosity comes straight from the heart.
Staying here isn’t just about a place to sleep ,it’s about connection, warmth, and feeling like you belong.

- Gian (10/5): The best hostel in Armenia - Lily is an amazing and extraordinary hostess, she make you feel comfortable and you feel like in family, the hostel is so cozy and nice with everywhere some little details of Lily, she is an enthusiastic artist, there is a little garden where you can chill, nice wievs,
don't doubt it, you have to stay in Ojakh Hostel, is the best hostel in Armenia without doubt Nothing
- Paride (9/5): Superb - Great Host and great place. I recommend it, wonderful
- Taybah (9/5): Superb -
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional - A worthwhile place to stay!
It is an Armenian home and the mother and daughter turned part of it into a hostel for tourists. They do everything they can to help you and make you comfortable. It is a charming Armenian experience.
It is a couple of KM outside Dilijan, but this is actually a bonus because the walk to it is lovely with views of the mountains and you can walk through the old town on the way too. Also, there are shops and supermarkets and cafes close to the hostel so you can get everything you need.
A good addition to this hostel in my opinion would be rubber hot water bottles to keep guests warm on winter nights. I don't know if those are available in Armenia or not. I didn't see any. We can't leave the electric heater on when we sleep for safety reasons.
- Rajyashree (9/5): Good stay at Dilijan! Amazing host! - Clean and peaceful place to stay at Dilijan. The host is very sweet, kind, and a lovely lady. We had a good time here. The only problem is the washroom is outside the house, so when it is really cold at night going outside to use the toilet would be a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise it was a good stay for us. Nothing much. Everything was good.
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - I was in Dilijan only for one night, Simonyan and her daughter was really kind to me, she welcomed me with a hot coffee considering that it was very cold outside and the following day before leaving she asked me to take a coffee with her and her daughter.
I really appreciated everything and thank you for having me at your house 🫶🫶 Everything was perfect, this is a very authentic experience at an Armenian house so if you are looking for something authentic this is the place.
- Morteza (7/5): Good -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diana (10/5): Exceptional - Lilith and Tatevik are the mother and the daughter and they are super hosts of Ojakh Hostel.
I stay at their house every time I come to Dilijan. It is a cosy, tidy, beautiful handmade place in the ‘town inside the forest’ Dilijan, the Gem of Armenia.
The atmosphere here is super friendly and welcoming, family home at its best with lots of love put into the rooms, shared spaces and a backyard.
People from different parts of the wold come and stay here, again and again and I am one of them.
Thanking Lilith and Tatevik for warm and welcoming spirit! Nothing
- Neil (10/5): Wonderful place to stay - Such a wonderful place to stay. The beds are the most comfortable in all of Armenia. The gardens and outdoor seating area are beautiful. Lilit is a wonderful host and a wonderful person. I love this place so much. There is excellent hiking nearby. The hike to Whispering Waterfall only takes a few hours from the hostel.
- Irina (10/5): Perfect, cozy and so warm hearted! - Endlessly cozy local house of Lilit, the owner, and she is a real Georgian aunty with all her heart welcoming people to her house. If you come in the plums season be sure you'll not only eat it till your limits but she'll give you a large bag of plums for you and friends! Simple willage house in terms of facilities, though there are unusual for such house modern bathroom and toilet service. All is super clean and what's more there are art and craft everywhere, Lilit is very interesting person! WiFi, teapots etc - all is ok. House is in the main willage a bit aside from touristic centrum, so it's very calm around. I'm really happy I chose this place! Honestly I can't come up with any thing I didn't like about it. Usually I'm very demanding person and noticing lots of small and not tlso small things I didn't like, but not in this place!
The only problem could be that the house is aside of tourist centrum so you have to walk for restaurants and cafe, but there is small shop just near the house.
- Didier (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neil (10/5): Wonderful - Very nice place. Authentic and charming. Woman who runs the place is incredible. Great experience.
- Владислав (10/5): Exceptional -
- Palmer (5/5): Passable -
- Natálie (10/5): Exceptional - It's very authentic and the host is really nice and very charismatic. I would recommended to anyone, who want's enjoy real Armenia and relax a bit during summer in beautiful mountains. The bathroom is a bid oldschool, but I think this is the part of the experience too, it would be weird if it would be in any way luxurious and the water was always warm in the shower, which is was matters the most.
- Ashot (8/5): Very good -
- Constantin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): You'll end up staying longer than you planned - The place has a very relaxed and peaceful atmosphere and the lady that runs it is very warm and welcoming It's all good
- Bastian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sathishkumar (9/5): Superb - Everything Location felt too far but it’s fine
- Ronbo4610 (10/5): Nice family, traditional home - Very friendly family in an older, I assume typical Armenian family house. Quiet residential area in beautiful Dilijan. I was offered Armenian tea and cake after my arrival, both of which were yummy. Everything needed was provided. It was okay for me for my one day stay, but if temperatures were lower I think the cold would be a challenge if you stay inside for long periods during the day. It was a sunny, maybe 6C day and dropping to 0C at night. You can manage with the small heater and a layers during the day, and warm blankets at night at that temperature, but I imagine it would be more difficult if the temps/conditions were worse. You have to go outside to get to the bathroom.
- Imad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Iveta (8/5): Very good - The owner is very very kind. The furniture is older but for few days it's ok, good location. Possible to park a car.
- Marife (10/5): Exceptional - Love the outdoors setting and lovely view Everything was perfect
- Anton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Reyhanemir (8/5): Very good - The lady of the house was funny and kind, the location of the hostel was quiet and peaceful, it had a beautiful rural view The toilet and bathroom were outside the house and were not comfortable and very cold
- Nadia (9/5): Immersed in nature and nice owners - Lilit and Maria, the owners, were enthusiastic about welcoming me in the hostel. The location is a bit far off from the centre (30-40 min walk) but great if you want to hike and stay in the nature. Beds were comfortable and the other guests friendly. In my opinion can get a bit cold when the sun is not shining.
- Oscart08 (9/5): Lilith (the host) will make sure you have a super stay at Dilijan! no doubts! - First of all, it is a good value for money for Dilijan.
The hosts (Lilith and daughter, her sister) are so friendly and welcoming and they make you really feel like you are home. Language is not so big problem. With a good heart and patience you can have a conversation.
The rooms are made of single beds (no bunks which is great!).
Good WIFI. It is a rural house, hosts live upstairs. Rooms are spacious and have lockers if you need them. It feels like a family, and that is a vibe that I did not find anywhere else during my travels.
Kitchen facilities for cooking. 2 toilets outside the house. 1 with a shower.
Also facilities are basic basic, but you will stay have a great stay at Ojakh!
Great common outside (but covered) area for mingling and sharing. Great garden with fruit trees. Free fruit available!! Oh sooo nice plums!!
Location is a 30-35 mins walk to the main junction, and about 12 mins to the town and supermarket, though this also means that you are in a very rural area which is good. Unfortunately, my bed was noisy and quite uncomfortable. The bathrooms were outside the house, so during the day is ok, but at night it is for sure less fun.
- Daniel (8/5): Nice place, good value for money - Nice place overall. Nice kitchen, could be good to add one more table, little commun / reception area, dorm room was ok with locker, staff was friendly and helpful when there, great wifi A bit off and far but that was already known from the reservation? Little place to stay and work/ sit at a table. On ground level of building surrounded by parking so can get a bit noisy
- Evelyn (7/5): A really cute place far out of the centre but don't expect a private room when you book! - Ojakh is great because of the owner Lili and her sister, and her daughter Tatev - the nicest people ever who share their plums off the trees! However, I thought I had booked a twin room for myself, as stated on the booking.com page, but be aware that you will likely be sharing that room with a roommate... The house is charming and set in the countryside, far away from the main road so it's very quiet. There's a big covered outdoor space for socialising! It's not really set up to be a hostel. It is a house with the rooms downstairs converted into 'dorms'. This is fine but make it obvious when booking what the sleeping situation will be! Kitchen is tiny with no counter space to cut anything, although you can use the hobs for hot water etc. The toilet and shower are in a separate block, but the water is hot. Mostly, the location is inconvenient for trying to get anywhere, it's 45min walk up from the main road and 20 min from restaurant. There is a supermarket very nearby, however!
- Dawid (10/5): Amazing time in Dilijan. - Perfect! Very hospitable host and tasty a free plums.
- Liting (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucas (7/5): Simple but beautiful place! - Lovely hosts who are very helpful and communicate wonderful!
The house is nicely located with incredible views from the garden and terrace. Our single room was simple, and the beds were not comfortable, but overall, it is still such a nice place.
- Evgeniy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katarzyna (8/5): Very good - Hosts are super nice. The place is very cosy and has unique vibe. Very nice taracce to rest. Shared kitchen also avaliable, you can prepare your own meals there. This is a very basic hostel for backpackers, but for this price is the best! The bathroom has no washbasin and it's outside the house. It's in very bad shape but it's clean.
- Cedric (10/5): Best place in Dilijan! - I loved my stay at Ojakh! Lilith and her sister are so friendly and welcoming, I felt at home.
- Kiarash (4/5): Disappointing -
- Kiarash (1/5): Bad - the location is so bad, the toilet and shower are so dirty and they don’t work properly, beds are so uncomfortable and one of them is broken
- Olaf (10/5): Lovely - The owner was such a lovely woman. Although we could not really talk with eachother, because of the language, she still made me very comfortable at her hostel.
- Nina (10/5): Exceptional - Such a nice place! The hosts was really welcoming and hospitable! So even though there sparsomme english, we really felt home. It was quite a walk from the city centre, but then closer to the national park, which was Nice for walks. So indeed a Nice place!
- Dorte (9/5): Superb - Lilith, the host, was very very kind and the place is awesome. Simple but clean and arranged in a creative way. I really liked it. At some distance from the city centre but it's a nice walk with panoramic view to get there
M
- Ksenia (10/5): Exceptional - Lilith is one of the most friendly people I've ever met. She makes sure that her guests feel like they're at home. The house is comfortable and has all the necessary facilities, while also having a nice retro vibe. If I come to Dilijan again, I will definitely stay in Ojakh!
- Carla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bálint (9/5): Superb -
- Fengying (10/5): Exceptional - Simply love! Nice vibe. Big yard for relaxing. Fruits to pick up. Amazing everything. Will come back one day! None. Maybe not suit for winter. Might be cold specially the toilet and bathroom is outside exit.
- Violette (10/5): Exceptional - I felt right at home in this lovely guesthouse, Lilith is so caring and she decorates the house and garden with a lot of creativity. This is a very nice place to stay, thank you Lilith !
- Obi325 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Banafsheh (8/5): Very good - The host is very friendly and kind. The location is good if you travel by car.
- Jana (10/5): Exceptional - Supet friendly owner, very typical old local house with unique decoration, reminding me good old days on ukrainian countryside with my grandmother. Very calm surrounding with a beautiful mountain view. Would come again!
- Shahmoradi (9/5): Superb -
- Lucian (10/5): Warm welcoming house with amazing view - The place is amazing! I had such a good view of the mountains and Lilit + her daughter welcomed me in such a nice way with chocolate and a cup of coffee. The beds are quite comfy even if they are smaller in size and that’s coming from a person who has 1,84 m. I slept so good, spend time in nature, hiked and have a great time with other travelers. Thank you for taking care of everything I needed! I totally recommend this place, one of the best I had in a long time!
- Mihaela (9/5): Superb - The place has a perfect calm atmosphere and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming. You will totally enjoy your stay there cause it’s very close to the nature and you can relax on the funky terrace in the yard of the house.
- Karin (9/5): Warm hearted place with a beautiful terrace - It is a very kind atmosphere in the guesthouse and the hosts are really welcoming and warm hearted. They have a good ability to connect people and to create a pleasant environment. There is a beautiful terrace with nice mountain views. The rooms and the kitchen are simple, but there is everything You need. The bathroom is outside, everything is correctly described on booking.com. The water in the bathroom is perfectly warm. You can cook in the kitchen, and everything is cleaned once a day.
If You like simple but nice places with an outside common room, this is perfect. I would come back for sure if I am there again. Thanks a lot for everything. For us, it was a very good place. Nothing to mention.
- Mohamed (9/5): The hospitality of the owner - The hospitality of the owner and her daughter , she takes care of everyone, she brought us tea , chocolate, fruits from her garden, the place is so simple the bathroom is not the best , but it is ok
- Anastasiya (9/5): Good memories - The owners are really nice and kind, open people. The location is also great, closer to mountains.
- Zbyšek (10/5): Exceptional - The best for the end. A place I really liked and I'm sorry I didn't discover it earlier during my travels in Armenia. An interesting village house with a view of the mountains. Very friendly atmosphere. Mother and daughter are very friendly and nice.
- Ashot (7/5): Good -
- Matthieu (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great, I recommend this place ! You should go to see it, the owner and her daughter are lovely. I will come back during spring 🌱🌷🌸 Nothing to declare !! ;)
- Ekaterina (9/5): Good value for money - Nice homestay with a frienfly and family-like atmosphere. Great vibe and good people, both the homestay owners and guests. There's a fruit garden that you can gather fresh fruit from, plums and apples were great. Lilit is the perfect host, tries to help you with everything and gives good advice! Rooms are spacious. Price is very low and dilijan and surrounding area are very nice. I recommend you to get a taxi to the yell park if you are adventurous like me. Its a bit expensive, but their via ferrata is a must-see. Also deer at parvz lake are great. Keep in mind that its a hostel, thus very basic comforts. Late in autumn it maybe a bit cold in the bathroom, which is a separate building.
- Christien (10/5): Exceptional - Lilit is a wonderful and caring host who makes you feel so welcome!
- Richu (9/5): Great people, amazing views all around. The rooms are spacious. - The location is awesome, the people are really nice. It’s more of a house than a business. I loved that. Few people in bigger rooms. Not a crammed up scenario. A sink in the bathroom would have been nice. But it’s still okay!
- Medhat (10/5): The best place to stay in Dilijan. - The atmosphere was so nice. The owner was so kind and helpful. Everything was so good. I was planning to stay one night only but I stayed more. No thing.
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joel (10/5): A truly calm, relaxing, and wonderful place to stay -
- Mohamed_a_younes (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mateusz (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice owner. It is located in a quiet neigbourhood but close to centre of Diligan. There are plum and pear trees in the garden and you can gather fresh fruits every day .
- Abdelhafiz (10/5): Exceptional - Thank you, Madame Lilith, you are really a good person
- Felipe (10/5): Exceptional -
