Guest Reviews
- Derek and Carole (8/5): Handy but Compact - Location great, and few minutes walk down to Pile Gate to Old City, but enough off the busy road not to be noisy. Checkout is 11.00 am, but luckily I was able to leave luggage there for a few hours with a spare set of keys to retrieve later before going to port. Owner also had an iron and ironing board I could borrow. Booking.com csll it B&B, which it seems the owner can't change, as breakfast is not available on site. I'd have booked an apartment otherwise. Although only 3 star, rooms are compact with only a 3/4 bed, notice even double, and tiny ensuite. Had to turn sideways to get into shower (and I'm fairly slim) and in the shower my elbows kept turning the shower either hot or cold or off...There's not much of a sign outside (I walked past twice) so keep an eye ouf for the street number! .
- Guest (9/5): - Excelente Lage des hotels, nahe am Dubrovnik Portal de Old Town. Freundlicher Umfang. Adresse war ein schwer zu finden. .
- Andrew (8/5): Excellent stay in a perfect location just outside Pile Gate. - Great location. Simple accommodation but with everything you need. Comfortable bed, good shower. Signage to find it could be better, looks a bit disappointing from outside but don’t be put off, it’s fine.
- Allison (8/5): Clearly loved and cultivated b&b - Decently comfy bed and spacious room for your visit. Perfect location that isn’t in the expensive center but a quick 5 minute walk to the gate. Host was lovely! Be ready for a lukewarm/cold shower but in the summer it was welcome in the heat!

- Guest (10/5): - Ottima posizione. Centrale ma molto tranquillo. Décor in camera molto fine.
- Stephen Middleton (5/5): Last minute - Location perfect less than 5 minutes to old town plus bus stops and taxis Only sow one person with my key 1st day ,no expectation for TV and WiFi
- Guest (10/5): -
- Marta (8/5): - Fantastic location! Away from the tourist traffic but at the same time just steps away from restaurants, beach and old town.
The room is quite basic but relatively big and very clean. Great water pressure in the shower and bathroom lighting. No room service. No beach towels.

- Guest (8/5): - Location Is perfect
At only few minutes on foot to the old town For that price I expected my room to be cleaned and bed to be doné
- Burcu (6/5): - Location perfect . No more :)
Hyggelige restauranter rett i nærheten.
- Guest (7/5): - Solo tuvimos alojamiento.

- Nabavizadeh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denys (8/5): Very good -
- Žanete (7/5): Good - Very good location No B&B. No breakfast available. There was no way to cook them in the room. No one took the trash out of the room for a week. I could have done it myself, but no one told me where to put the full bag. There was also no broom to sweep the room with.
- Anthony (9/5): Superb -
- Ian (7/5): Nice property in perfect location - Great location
- Ravi (10/5): Exceptional - Host: He was so nice to us and very responsive. While we checked in almost 15-20hrs late due to flight delay, he welcomed us as soon as we arrived. He was really kind to share all the necessary information and tips regarding our stay and travel.
Location: apartment is just behind Sesame restaurant which itself is a great place to sit, eat and relax.
>5min walk to old town
>5min walk to nearby small beach
10-15min walk to Banje beach
10min walk to cable car
Perfect for a all kind of travelers Not applicable :)
- Molly (9/5): Perfect location to access old town and swimming spots - The location is amazing, less than 5 minute walk to Pile gate, Sulic beach and dance beach. The hosts were very welcoming, we were lucky to meet Rico the golden Labrador who also lives in the building, and is also very friendly❤️.
- Anonymous (9/5): Lovely stay thanks to lovely host. Perfect location! - Misko was a fantastic host that made sure that all of our needs were met. Our stay was fantastic and there really nothing that bugged us.
The B&B has a great location, roughly 3-5min from the old city by foot and has two stunning beaches. One of them 1-2min by foot, the other 10min.
The AC worked wonderfully which was great considering how hot Dubrovnik can get.
The beds were firm but very comfortable, the room was very clean, we had coffee and a fridge. Not much! The insulation between the rooms is a bit thin (sound wise) but it was never enough of a problem to bother us.
- Darko (10/5): Exceptional -
- Serena (3/5): Kind host and nice patio, but it’s not a bed and breakfast and needs serious improvements - The owner was kind, and I liked the artwork and the small semi-private patio area. The walls were very thin, so I could hear conversations, people coming in late, and noise from the shared bathroom, even though I had a private one. The bathroom had a persistent, unpleasant odor, and the toilet sometimes splashed water on the floor when flushed. The duvet didn’t close properly, so the bed never felt clean. The TV didn’t work, and overall it felt more like a cheap hostel than a bed and breakfast, especially for the price. Also, it’s a bit deceiving because it’s completely separate from the restaurant next door, which looks much nicer and gave me different expectations.
- Duenytz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (8/5): Very good - Great location, clean and host was lovely. Bathroom was down the hall, didn't have to share it but still an inconvenience. Restaurant bit noise next door but was generally finished by 10.
- Volkan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andre (10/5): Great place to stay in Dubrovnik! - Very comfortable and clean. The owner is very kind and helpful.
- Annie (6/5): Pleasant - Location. The pillows and cover smelt terrible
- Tracey (8/5): Basic but comfortable - Handy location for activities, taxis and tours etc. Owner was very friendly and helpful. No external area to sit and relax, which would have been a nice extra.
- Jeff (9/5): Superb - Good value, old style/unpretentious charm, quiet and comfortable. Spacious and airy.
Our bathroom was along the hall, but that wasn't an issue.
Lovely couple who owned/managed the rooms. Very clean.
Little tricky to find, small plaque on the door. No dislikes.
Would be better to say the hotel is behind the Sesame restaurant for folks who aren't great with maps.
- Chelsea (9/5): Great Place! - Misko is a legend host! He greeted me quite late and gave me all the information I could possibly need including the best place for a morning swim! The room is perfect size with everything you could need including a mini fridge. The location was absolutely perfect! Super close to old town and one of the most beautiful swimming spots in Dubrovnik.
- Luvia (8/5): Very good -
- Biljana (10/5): What a beautiful town and a great host ! - Great location, close to everything ( beaches, old town). Host was very nice and helpful! Would recommend Sesame Inn 👌. Nothing
- Emma (8/5): Very good -
- Susanna (10/5): Exceptional - I had a lovely stay at the Sesame Inn. Room was very clean and had everything I needed, like air conditiong, a mini fridge, good quality pillows and a comfy bed. The location was excellent, close to the old town but still quiet and peaceful. The owner was very friendly and always upon seeing me made sure I was okay and if I needed anything.
- Daria (8/5): Very good -
- Tiffany (10/5): A cozy room accessible to main attractions in Dubrovnik - I loved staying at the Sesame Inn, the location was perfect - less than 10 minutes to the main Old Town and to a lovely swimming spot! It was easy to navigate to/from the bus stop and didn’t require any major staircases (making it accessible). The neighborhood also felt very safe as a solo traveler. I also loved the private patio connected to the room - perfect to enjoy a morning coffee. The host was also very kind and welcoming - he provided me with an extra set of keys before check-out so that I could store my bags after checking out which was much appreciated! The shower was on the smaller side, although it wasn’t much of an issue for me.
- Lucilia (8/5): Very good - Little family run business, Misko was very kind and friendly.
I had my own outside little patio which was lovely. The room was comfortable and big enough for one person.
The location was perfect, just a few minutes walk from Pile gate, however away from the crowds. Would stay again!
- Laurel (8/5): Very good - I stayed in a large room with two twin beds.
The host was very nice. Be sure to have euros in cash to cover the hotel taxes.
The beds were comfortable. I had a wonderful stay. The bathroom was at the end of the hall but private for only our use. The bathroom had a shower and was great.
I absolutely recommend this as a delightful place to stay with a nice owner and such a comfortable stay. I hope to someday come back Nothing bad just one very small drawback is the doors make a lot of noise as you open and shut them. The doors are older and have many layers of paint that stick together and make a lot of noise. I would recommend a white noise maker for the hallway plus new doors that don’t creak so bad. I felt like I was waking everyone up as I came and went
- Alessandra (10/5): Feels like grandma´s home - Very simple place, perfect location, 2 min from Pile Gate, easy access to beaches but still perfectly quiet. Very comfortable, great bed and shower. The pateo is absolutely delightful, I took breakfast there every day. Big hug to the couple that owe the place, they are lovely. Daily cleaning would be appreciated at least for taking off trash and changing towels.
- Beatryczenl (9/5): Dubrovnik sightseeing :) - Perfect location - close to everything ;) friendly and helpful host :) Small shower place but not really big problem with that :)
- Kassandra (9/5): Superb -
- Antonia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robyn (7/5): Good - No breakfast was provided Clean towels daily could have been provided
- Kc (8/5): great location - great location, 5min walk to the old gate, the owner has been very kind & gentle to us! The property is abit old hence the floor kinda squeaky, as well as the sound proof.
- Tosic (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edo (8/5): Very good - Perfect location, nice and quiet. Our room had an external bathroom in the corridor, which can be disturbing to other guests.
- Heather (10/5): Lovely - Very safe. Very clean. The host was lovely. No steps to climb. Short, easy walk to Pile Gate entrance to Old Town. Very near the sea.
- Ic (10/5): Misko rules - Misko, the home-owner was very nice and received us at 1am. The room was very good, big and clean. Also he gave us a few bottles of water and tea. The location was amazing. If we ever come back to Dubrovnik, we will stay again at Sesame Inn
- Anastasiia (9/5): Superb -
- Andre (10/5): Favorite place to stay in Dubrovnik! - Wonderful atmosphere, great location! Everything was excellent indeed.
- Alperen (10/5): Marvelous - The host is a really nice person and helped us a lot. Thus, we were able to easily adapt to our room and the city where we stayed for 1 week.
- Edith (7/5): The location was good, as it was a fairly short walk into the old town. - no breakfast was provided. the room was not serviced.
- Anton (9/5): Superb -
- Gloria (9/5): Superb -
- Allan (10/5): Ideal. Splendid. Just right - The Sesame is in a great location - a short downhill walk to the Old Town and accessible by car - so no hauling luggage up and down steps. We had the large room with private external bathroom, which I found fine but which the wife initially wasn't happy with. A fridge, waterboiler / kettle, aircon, safety box, wardrobe, TV, toiletries.......what more could you ask for? Extremely good value for money in outrageously expensive Dubrovnik. I don't suppose I will ever come to Dubrovnik again but if I did, I'd try to get a room here. Sesame doesn't offer breakfast and my advice would be to buy a breakfast buffet at the five star Hilton, just down the steps and over the road. It costs "only" EUR20 but that represents teriffic value when you consider what you get for that price. Ask yourself what two cups of coffee and a fresh juice alone would cost you in Dubrovnik before saying that you don't agree with paying EUR20 for breakfast. Payment for our accomodation has been a disaster and booking.com should be ashamed of themselves. I've tried to put this right on the phone to them and using their contact form. But a week later and I have given up. I'm a Genius Level 3, so if their Customer Service team treats me like this, then I feel sorry for those of you who aren't at this lofty level. The issue was that booking.com told me on the booking confirmation that CityTax would be 3nts at EUR1,35 per person. To pay at the Sesame. So EUR8,10 in total. At check in, the owner asked for EUR15,90 cash and I gave him this and he gave me a receipt. Only the following day did I realise that this amount was too much. The owner assured me it was correct. And indeed it was correct. Booking.com had quoted the wrong amount. But despite phone calls and contact forms to booking.com, my protestations are just being ignored. Make of this what you will. I think it's a disgraceful way to treat your customers.
- Mike (7/5): Good -
- Teresa (8/5): pleasant place to stay ~ I highly recommend - bed comfortable ~ I prefer a top sheet however ~ easy walk to old city ~ has old world charm the outside patio was not inviting
- Jenmees (8/5): Very good -
- Georgia (8/5): Very good -
- Richard (9/5): Perfect stay close to an incredible walled city - The location is incredible: 5 minutes to the Pile Gate, 2 minutes to several beaches and a great park. Rooms are huge, airy and bright, and we were well welcomed by the proprietor who was on hand to answer any questions. Our private bathroom was down the corridor and worked out super well as it was enormous. Double glazing helped block out street noise though cicadas chirp goes through anything! Would have been nice to have access to the garden but there is a huge park up the hill 2 minutes walk away
- Luca (7/5): Good - Good position to visit the city, room's space Price too expensive, old forniture and sloppy
- Estefanía (10/5): Great location, great accomodation! - The location is incredible! The owner was very friendly and helpful. The room was good, aircon working, comfy beds. Can not complain! 2 min walking from the beach, more than convenient during summer season! Would repeat for sure!
- Sophie (10/5): My stay was perfect. - The inn was impeccably clean, comfortable, close to Old Town and stunning beaches. Misko, who runs the place, was wonderful.
- Daria (10/5): Sweet gem. - Second time in this accommodation. This time I chose a single room with patio.😊. Patio was actually walled, green , lovely garden with a stone table. I loved it. Accommodation itself is perfect for me. 5 minutes from the Old Town. Few minutes to 2 beaches. Peaceful. If I wanted a bit of crowd, short walk to Pile Gate.
- Benjamin (9/5): Superb -
- Juthamard (7/5): Good -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - perfect location. lovely host. complimentary fruit and water. only downside was the shower was a bit small, but I guess not much can be done about that. And it continued to drip for a while after use, so that could be looked into so that water isn’t wasted.
- Freddy (8/5): Very good -
- Juliana (1/5): Bad -
- Andre (10/5): Great experience! - A favorite place to stay in Dubrovnik! Can’t think of anything.
