Guest Reviews
- Johnathan (7/5): Good - Location was great, flat was spacious Communication with hosts was arduous. Exceptionally hot in the flat, ad said air-conditioning but only a fan
- Matt (8/5): Pleasant and spacious right in the heart of Richmond - The location is absolutely perfect, in a prime spot overlooking the Old Ship pub with shops, cafes and restaurants right next door. Couldn't be more convenient.
The flat is spacious, comfortable and well-equipped, with everything you need for a longer stay, including washer and dryer and a decent kitchen for simple meals. The property is starting to show its age a little. Shared areas in particular are on the shabby side, and the door to the street doesn't make a great first impression.
It's better inside the flat, but could still use a bit of maintenance and updating here and there.
Plumbing leaves a bit to be desired, with low water pressure (typical in older properties in the UK) and slow drainage from the bathroom sink.
Lights were on dimmers but flickered at lower settings - could be an issue for some people.
- David (1/5): DISGUSTING Stains, mould, needs modernising, Detective skills for finding keys, no stars rating, - Location that's it This is the worst place I've ever had the misfortune of staying in, property is in need of total modernising, loads of stuff broken, mould everywhere, kitchen has the plastic hanging off behind cooker, gave us the smallest bag for the bin, stains all over curtains and bedding, stains all over the mattress, bathroom had its own eco system, looked worst than a student digs, absolutely disgusting place to stay, 3 of us stayed noticing more things wrong as the 2 nights progressed, the pull out bed didn't work so no one should stay with back issues, to many things to list, but I'm trying, steer clear I would, I'm ex military and a shell scrape was cleaner and that's dug into dirt!!!!! Very odd way with the keys took some detective work to find them, if I could give no stars I would, that option isn't available
- Pedrofeio (5/5): It was disappointing. Only the location was good and the cleaning lady (on checkout) was friendly. - It was in a good location fairly closed to Richmond Station.
The kitchen was well equipped.
Cleaning lady was very friendly.
Check in instructions were clear. There was basically no room, just a double bed encrouched on a larger corridor on the way to the bathroom and to a front door. Only in London (or perhaps Tokyo) can this be considered a room.
Some street noise and poor insulation of the external windows.
The house has 2 front doors, but one is blocked by a bunch of storage stuff and a water cylinder and has a small curtain to cover it.
There is some leaking (not a recent one) under the kitchen sink, and the floor was damaged (perhaps due to this leak).
Picking up keys from a lock on the ground attached to a chain on a bicycle lock seems far from safe and surely not higienic.
The external front door (to the shared building) is in a terrible state (seems almost made of cardboard) and it was clearly broken in before.
Water temperature was very unstable, and transitioned from cold to hot during a shower.
This is a fairly minor issue, but the vent on the bathroom was very noise.
- Vaszilij (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicola (7/5): Good -
- James (10/5): Richmond til we die!!! - We enjoyed the location and the property as a whole. It was Perfect. The A/C did not really work
- Robert (3/5): Poor value for money and a terrible management company - The property is close to Richmond High Street The intermediate company managing this property - Airlandlords Ltd - were terrible. They make it clear that they have no intention of helping the guest, with a 200-pound penalty if you need to call for personal assistance with anything during the stay. The check-in process is also terrible, with a key safe 20 meters away from the property. The entrance to the property is also inappropriate, with a door in the street leading to a shabby courtyard, full of pigeon droppings. The flat's interior is reasonable, although the sofabed is inappropriate and very uncomfortable. In short, the property is poor and the management company is clearly unwilling to do any work to help the guests - very unwelcoming.
