• Jose (3/5): Disappointing - The location, although very noisy at night First surprise: you push in the Booking app to reach the apartment but it takes you to a different place in a different neighborhood more than 10 minutes walk. Second surprise: some of the pictures in Booking do not correspond to the current state of the apartment (no shiny wooden floor). Presented as a Deluxe loft, it is located in a central but very noisy area at night until 2 am. There is a washing machine, but how can you use it if there is no clothes line and no clothespins? Quite small sofa-bed but no sheets for it. The sheets for the double bed are too small and not fitted, with the result that you end up sleeping on the mattress. The wc door doesn’t close. The bathroom sink stopper doesn’t close either. There is coffee and a filter coffee machine, but no filters. There is no rubbish bin in the kitchen. It is impossible to read in bed, as there is light only in the ceiling, not in any of the bedside tables. One of the plugs in the bedroom does not work. Only five clothes hangers in the cupboard. Dirty balcony, dirty entry to the building and to the apartment, plus an open door through which somebody could access the balcony. Scarce and unpractical furniture and equipment. It is a modest and not well taken care of apartment, definitely not a Deluxe one.

L'abitazione presenta punti luce scoperti e quelli presenti molto precari e sospesi (lampadari) magari si potrebbe pensare a plafoniere vista l'altezza. In diversi punti non funzionavano le prese elettriche e magari in camera da letto una spalliera al letto non sarebbe male.

• Patricia (10/5): Excellent location, clean apartment, close to everything. - The apartment was clean, bed was comfortable, location mixed. It is near Monastiraki square, so it is very convenient to walk around, shop, get to Plaka for the attractions there. . It felt very safe. The washing machine was very nice to have since I stayed for several weeks. There is an elevator, so that was nice since I was on the 5th floor. Wi-fi is good. There is a nice balcony. There is a public parking garage about 0.2 miles away, Night life in Monastiraki is very active. You will hear it late into the night.

The apartment itself was spacious and I appreciated features like nice shower and the balcony. The communication with the host was very good. He was friendly and accommodating, and kindly allowed us to stay a bit longer on the check-out date, which we really appreciated. The apartment itself is not very modern and could benefit from some updates. However, it was comfortable overall and well-suited for a big family of five.

• Phillip (10/5): Great place to stay in Athens both short and long stays. - This is the perfect stay in Athens. Great hosts! Wonderful apartment right in the middle of everything. Nice warm tile floors from the radiant heat system, excellent hot water and pressure. Nice wraparound balcony. Pretty comfortable bed. The only thing I’d suggest is adding some complimentary coffee and tea.

• Andrea (3/5): Very disappointing - Location The loft is on the top floor so on hot days it is unbearable to be there, air conditioning is necessary 24 hours a day, but it is annoying, and sleeping with it on is very difficult because it is directed at the bed and makes a lot of noise. 
 The furniture is different from what is in the photos (bed, sofa), the mattress is bad and the sheets are old and have a certain smell. We were going with a child, the sofa is supposed to be a bed but they didn't leave it ready, they only gave us the sheets, and it is also uncomfortable. The curtains do not cover enough so it is difficult to sleep and you wake up early because of the light. Fair cleaning.

• J (9/5): Perfect central location for 1-2 people! - It was great, exactly as pictured and happy to discover that the heaters also heat the floor. Perfect location. I practically walked everywhere. Right in the heart of social life. 5min walk to Monasteraki metro/flea market, 8mins to Varvakios Central Market and 12mins walk to the acropolis/parthenon. Also there are various cafes, bars, restaurants, and shopping as soon as you walk outside. And the hosts were superb ❤️ Very attentive, responsive, and kind! When I arrived they had a cold jar of water in the fridge and also let me leave my luggage for a few hours on my final day as I had a late flight. Elevator and stairs, full kitchen and dishes, hot water, tv, and a dresser with an iron, hair dryer, and extra blankets. I would definitely stay here again. Can’t wait to return!! I slept like a baby every night so it didn’t bother me as the window soundproofing was great and the apartment was high up BUT if you’re a light sleeper the music from the restaurants below at night might be an issue.

There are bars down on the street that make noise until 12:30. but that’s something you are informed about before even booking the place - so nothing to complain about really.

• Helen (10/5): This was our home in Athens! It felt safe whilst being central to the things we wanted to do! - We were very happy to be in this location. Sooooo many great restaurants and cafes, close to shopping (including the beautiful little markets) and all the tourist stuff! Our wonderful host met us at the front door to take us to our apartment. Thank goodness there was a lift so we didn’t have to lug our suitcases up stairs. Our host also arranged a taxi to take us to the airport at the end of our stay. The apartment had air conditioning in each room making the space very comfortable. We loved having a kitchen and a washing machine too! This apartment is located in a very popular and vibrant street so noise late at night could be an issue? I always travel with noise canceling earplugs so this wasn’t a problem!

• David (9/5): I am already making plans to return 🙂 - Loft is perfectly located in the Plaka area within a few minutes from the main attractions. I completed my bucket list of places within 3 days. I found the area to be very safe and well served by the surrounding bars and restaurants. There is plenty of choice too. The Metro station of Monastiraki is just minutes away. The area can get a bit noisy on weekend evenings. That said, everything stops at 12,30.

The host, Mr Alexander, handed the keys to us in person, and arranged for our transfer to the airport. The floor in the shower stall can be rather slippery when it is wet. It would be good if a rubber bath mat is provided.

Alexander was very helpful, welcoming, and friendly. As the Loft is in a central location it could be a little noisy at night with bars and other hotels nearby, however we did not mind and it didn't go on for long. It was fantastic value for money and you got a great sense of Athens. It was very handy to be so close to everything you could make a quick pitshop back to the apt before going back out for the evening. Would visit again. N/a

The apartment itself is big enough for two people and has everything you need. The host was very helpful and accommodating. The air conditioning worked really well. The building has an elevator, which is a plus if you come with heavy luggage. Overall, it was a good stay. The apartment can use a lot of updating, which would make it more comfortable even for longer stays. The mattress is quite old and not very comfortable. The bathroom can use renovating as well. The linen and towels were clean but old.

• Jackie (9/5): A great experience of downtown Athens - Located in a vibrant district that doesn’t just cater for tourists but is close to everything a tourist would want to see. Alexander is a super helpful host and responds really fast to any queries. We really enjoyed our stay. it was a little noisy at night, despite the double glazed windows, but that’s to be expected if you’re in a lively part of town.
• Echo (8/5): In a heartbeat would stay again. Great experience. - Our first impression of this place was the little back alley location that opens up to the pulse of the city. Felt like a local. Our host, what an amazing man. He was friendly, helpful, gracious, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to book our taxi transport as well as accommodate me personally on a luggage issue. The location is walkable to anything and everything. The historic district is 15 minutes, the flea market and shopping district is 5 minutes. Restaurants and cafes seem as soon as you walk out the door. We did stay on a Friday night. It was boisterous in the neighborhood which on any other night would have added to the charm. We just had to get up for an early morning ferry. Again Alexander made all the transport arrangements for us. Comfortable space. Little kitchen for in home meals, if you chose. Open living space. Great balcony. Laundry machine. Would not hesitate to go back. I think I would have benefited by having a tutorial on how to use the shower. Otherwise, it has everything you would need for a comfortable short or extended stay in Athens.
• Suzanne (9/5): Superb - The Location was excellent, in a safe part of Athens and very central, near the Plaka, Ermou, Athinas and Monastiraki with a s short walk uphill to Syntagma - as a visitor just where you want to be. On Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday night the bars around were very noisy until the wee hours, but on Monday to Thursday, no noise at all. Take good earplugs. Alexander our host was very professional and helpful, offering to keep our luggage on our check out day till we were ready to pick it up, and even offering to keep our luggage while we travelled. The wifi came and went, and we simply couldn't work out the TV- instructions would be helpful.

• Juantheoneandonly (10/5): Great apartment in central Athens! - Alexander, the host, welcomed us and gave us the keys to the apartment. He was very friendly, explained in detail everything about the apartment, the building, and the neighborhood. We got a map from him, where he pointed the most interesting sights, and how to get there. In addition, he provided prime advice on how to move around the city, safety, and pricing. His attitude and helpfulness are exceptional. He knows his city so well. The apartment is located in the most happening neighborhood in Athens, between two important central plazas, with access to metro stations, and most of the archaeological and touristic sights. You can just walk from the apartment to get to the Parthenon and several museums, or they are just a few metro stations away. It is on a 4th floor, so even if the building is surrounded (literally surrounded) by busy bars and restaurants, there is little outside noise getting in, as windows are double-paneled (which also helps to insulate temperature in winter, the season when we visited). There is only one apartment per floor in the building so you don't get noise from other neighbors. Gas heating covers the bedroom, the studio/dining room/kitchen area and bath, it has two tiny balconies. We discovered amazing taverns with outstanding and authentic Greek food just on the next street, cafés, bars, always cheered up by the Athenians that know how to enjoy their city, and some tourists. But as it was winter, we were lucky to meet and talk with quite some locals, lots of them speak English and are very proud to talk about their amazing cultural, philosophical and historical heritage. The bathroom is good, with great pressure from the shower, nice fully equipped kitchen (there was coffee to prepare), a proper dining table (also good for videoconferences, I reached my family from there), a coach, and comfy beds. All in pristine conditions, super clean.
