Guest Reviews
- Karen (3/5): Wouldn't book this again - At least the linen was clean and there was hot water in the shower, a kettle, sink and window No fan as advertised in facilities. Room baking hot. No response to my question via App. No airflow in room. Stifling.
Room much smaller than as pictured on Booking.com photo, as larger bed than in pic, despite being advertised as a Room for only 1 person.
Room difficult to get into on arrival. Door was stuck within frame, so even when unlocked I had to heave and boot it open.
I considered leaving after my evening event, but there were no more trains out of London
- Alexander (4/5): A cheap option but wouldn’t go back - It’s in a beautiful location and is cheap (for London) It’s so cramped - barely room room to use the toilet or get dressed and it felt like staying in a student hostel with noisy people all around (despite no parties policy) and the terrible/non-existent wifi.
- Seysh (5/5): Passable -
- Madeleine (5/5): The accommodation served its purpose but it was much less appealing than advertised - Convenient, close to transport facilities and central London Up 6 flights of stairs, room was tiny, there was no separate bathroom sink, bed was lumpy, had to request a hand towel and shower mat, nobody over 5ft 3” (my height) could have fitted on the toilet it was so squashed into the wall.
- Kirill (8/5): Very good -
- Marco (5/5): Passable -
- Chetan (6/5): Not comfortable at all. - The bed is not comfortable at all. The location is good near by Paddington railway Stn that’s only the advantage. The apartment located at 3rd floor and if you’re travelling with large bag then it’s challenging to carry. Staircase to 3rd floor is very narrow. Only the location wise.
- Ciarán (8/5): Very good - Location.. Secure.. Safe.. Quiet.. Good value.. Good communication.. Warm Size very small .. Shower old fashioned .. Bed not comfortable.. Chair very uncomfortable. Very limited utensles.. No carving or vegetable knife.. No bottle opener.. No wine glass..
Only one towel for 3 nights..
- Veronica (4/5): Don't book this studio unless.... - *Location.
*The price is reasonable but then you have to deal with many disadvantages. 1.The refrigerator is not cooling properly. At its coldest it is 14 degrees celsius (but I also measured 19 degrees)!
This is not acceptable. I let them know, but no action was taken. I think this problem existed since August (see previous review). 2.very low bed with bedsore mattress 3.A used cleaning sponge (how dirty!) for washing dishes and no kitchen towel. 4 I stayed here for 4 nights and there was only 1 small roll of toiletpaper. 5. Very tiny showerroom, even for a small person.
My advise: in the winter you better cool your products in a plastic bag outside the window. Bring your own cleaningsponge, kitchen towel, extra toiletpaper, bodywash, shampoo, coffee, tea and so on.
- Eimantas (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (5/5): Passable -
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothing
- Mahmood (6/5): It need same modification and solution for lifting bag - Location of room In floor 3 and no lift
- Rachael (6/5): Fair price for a good location - Great location, less than five minutes walk to Paddington station. Facilities were okay at best; and although the price was fair compared to other accommodation in the same area - you get what you pay for. Very very small shower room and sink in the sleeping area.
- Samir (5/5): Passable - location *****
WIFI *****
cleanses **** Refrigerator was not working properly
bathroom very tight
- Francesca (8/5): Very good - Good central location in a well served aerea, 5 Min walk from Paddington station. easy check-in and check-out. Cheap for the location, As many others have said, the fridge doesn't work and it smells bad, the bed in not particularly confortable
- Abdullah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julide (5/5): A property in need of some maintenance - Location Very shabby. Lots of marks on the walls. Sink both for personal hygiene and washing up is not nice. Bed was low and there was no firmness: just sitting on it and you sank 6 inches. The lock box was hard to retrieve the key from. The bath rail by the shower was not fixed into the wall. The floor did not seem as though it had been swept. The carpet rod on one stair was not in place so dangerous. There was a very annoying noise from a water pipe that went on for hours: the electrician who came out was very pleasant and said it was high water pressure. I was asked to run the hot water tap for in excess of 1/2 hour. In the end a plumber came
- Oliver (2/5): Welcome to the ghetto. - Location: the area is nice. The (potential) view from the window, had the window been clean. The front door was broken. There were no one there. The carpet inside was smelly. It was dark and unlit. There was trash in the apartment. Things were hanging broken from the walls. The window was broken and wouldn't open properly. The laundry area looked like a construction site. Staff knocked on my door two days early and told me to leave (in poor English).
- Elif (7/5): Good - Location Fridge doesn’t work. Soap, toilet paper wasn’t enough for 3 days.
- Caroline (8/5): Very good - Liked the key less entry, handy location for what I needed
Clean and had what you needed
Great value for money If you struggle with stairs this isn’t the property for you
- Jonathan (7/5): Good - Great location en route to Heathrow Bed could have been more comfortable.
- Kressly (8/5): This room provided a great value for a short-term stay - The location was in the excellent Paddington neighborhood. The room was quiet and efficient. The refirgerator did not work, and the bed was not as comfortable as it could have been
- Blake (10/5): Amazing location, facilities and staff - Amazing location, easy check in process, everything you would need for a multi night stay Bed wasn’t fantastic. Has a narrow staircase which can be hard with luggage
- David (4/5): Great location but now I realise why it was so cheap. OK if you are on a very tight budget - The location was excellent This was like spending 2 nights in a broom cupboard. The bed is not fit for purpose and needs a new mattress. The stairs and hallway up to the room looked like they had not been redecorated since WW2. I could hardly fit into the shower room and I am not the biggest person. The towel holder was on the floor when I arrived and whoever came to fix it just put it back in the damaged hole and it just fell out again
- Uma (8/5): Very good -
- Louise (8/5): Small room with bathroom and kitchen facilities, ideal for short stay - The room was suitable for one person for an overnight stay. Well equipped small kitchen area if needed The room met my expectations for the price
- Frederik (8/5): Very good -
- James (3/5): Not what I was expecting, poor and over priced - Location and clean bedding and towels. Easy to get keys. Had a fridge. Door did not shut right when door closed. No sink in bathroom, no plug in kitchen sink, tv remote did not work and when manual switched on, no tv reception. Hallway had junk in places, looked untidy. Do not think it was value for money, it is not an apartment, not even a studio apartment.
- John (7/5): Good - Great location very near Paddington station. Easy self check in. Warm. The microwave, cooker, fridge, toaster etc might be handy for some. No tea coffee milk or shower gel provided, which was inconvenient.
- Bojan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Timothy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dylan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marta (8/5): Very good - Great spot, awesome localisation, comfortable room, nice check-in and out system
- Irina (7/5): Good stay for 1 person, but a bit untidy - A beautiful building, nice view from the 3rd floor, perfect location, nice neighborhood, Kensington garden is 5 min walk, shops and Paddington Station is very close. the studio was small and thin walls that was expected, so I was fully ready for that. But it was a bit untidy, not renovated, there was some damaged stuff that could be easily repaired. No kitchen paper towels. On the stairs the pieces of paper were not cleaned for several days. So I wish the owners care a bit more.
- Kim (7/5): Passing the time in Paddington. - The flat was in a great location. Walking distance to Paddington Station, Hyde Park and into central London. Lots of stores and amenities near by. The flat itself was clean. Small, but contained the necessary items for a comfortable stay. And very close to great places like Little Venice (which looked fabulous in the snow!) Lots and lots of narrow stairs to reach the apartment. The fridge, although on, wasn't working. The light was on, but that was all. Nothing was kept cold. My orange juice came out warmer than the room. The stove wasn't working properly either. Not ideal for a self-catering holiday. At least the microwave worked.
- Mary (2/5): Very poor - Very small bathroom, very small flat tv, poor bed condition, no elevator
- Bethany (8/5): nice stay - very convenient location. could hear everything in other rooms which woke me a few times.
- Steph (10/5): Lovely host helped me after I lost the check in details. Will definitely be staying again - It's such a perfect little flat for one person Lights in the corridor to the 3rd floor didn't switch on until most of the way up the stairs, so a bit dark, but everything else was awesome
- Rita (7/5): Good -
- Robyn (5/5): Not for me... - The location, its not far from Paddington tube Station and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby The decor and carpet on the stairs was old and scruffy, the lights were delayed in coming on so I tripped down the bottom steps a few times. There was rubbish in the hallways and signs not to leave rubbish so it's obviously a common thing and there was no sink in the bathroom
- Lydia (8/5): Very good -
- Legsyboy (7/5): Good value for money, clean but a little tired in places. - Good location near Paddington Station, the streets were well lit late at night. The room was clean with all the basic facilities and it was a reasonably quiet location. Decent value for money. The building looked a little tired with some emergency lights hanging loosely off the wall. The door locks and catches had been replaced a number of times.
- Daria (6/5): Pleasant - Location Neighbors. I had a couple behind the wall and could hear them speak. I retaliated by drying my hair and turning on the TV. No shampoo was provided. Had to buy my own
- Adnan (8/5): Very good -
- Joel (6/5): Perfect for Paddington Bear 🐻 - It had almost everything you needed kitchen wise. The Showerroom was so crammed, it was impossible for anyone over 5 ft to use the toilet or shower without difficulty or discomfort.
- Maila (7/5): Good -
- Brett (5/5): Passable - location bed uncomfortable and communal areas scruffy
- Donovan (5/5): Passable -
- Matt (8/5): Very good - It was very convenient to where I needed to me and the staff were very good through email. Understandably it was a bit small. Honestly it's not much of a criticism for the price at all. It was still good value for money
- Elaine (7/5): Adequate and the room facilities were clean and adequate - It was easy to access the front door with the code and then the key safe for the room key There was no handle on the front door, so when you leave, it is hard to ensure it is closed for the safety of other guests. The front door had broken glass which concerned me. There was a man working in a shower room in the hallway, and saw dust all over the carpet. That was still there the next morning. It would be good to provide a couple of tea bags etc as you don't buy that kind of thing just for one night but makes a big difference to your stay.
- Wayne (8/5): lovely clean room. - location was brilliant for my purpose. the bed was so low to the floor and bathroom was very tiny, was not an apartment but a small room.
- Philip (5/5): The photos are a bit deceptive and I'd say that 'Awesome' is something of an overstatement... - I had no problems getting the key - instructions were all clear. The location was good for what I needed. I was a bit shocked that there was no sink in the en-suite so I had to go to the toilet and then wash my hands in the kitchen sink. I also had to shave (without a mirror) and brush my teeth in the kitchen sink. The worst thing, however, was that I was laying in bed on the first evening and a mouse came out from behind the kitchen unit and then ran away so I spent the first night worried that a mouse might run over me when sleeping. This was quite a shock as I was on the third floor of the building...
- Eoin (8/5): Very good -
- Harvey (9/5): Superb -
- Philip (8/5): Great value for money, comfortable and clean, locked my bike at Paddington Stn as room on 3rd floor. - Proximity to public transport, cleanliness.
- Athos (9/5): Stunning - Amazing stay for the price. Really well connected to the tube & all public transport. Everything you could need was available except maybe a shaving mirror & an adapter for your charger. The place is also pretty clean. Really amazing find for London. You even get a pretty view from the window The bathroom vent wasn't working even though the place is tiny and you can aerate it really easily. Also could use a new door as light can come through itsedges.
- Ivan (9/5): Superb -
- Dody (6/5): Pleasant - Great location, close from Paddington train station, restaurants and shops near by. No aircon if you are staying in the hot summer, bad wasn’t really comfortable.
- Anne (9/5): Superb -
