• Laura (3/5): Disappointing and uncomfortable - I liked the location the most. The host did tell us it was a 6 minute walk from the parking lot. That is not true, it definitely took 15-20 minutes which was a little uncomfortable with all our luggage. 1) I emailed the host asking to coordinate a special request for the room upon our arrival. She confirmed, and then when we got there, she didn’t do it. I said that was okay and that we would leave the apartment and be back a few hours later to give her time to complete it. She just never followed up or did it. It was pretty disappointing and lame that she couldn’t follow up on what she said. If she never intended to do it, she should have said that from the beginning. 2) Very limited ventilation in this room. It was uncomfortable sleeping at night because the air got so stuffy. Both of my boyfriend and I got nasal sickness during and after our stay. 3) The room was very tight and there was a lot of stuff in there that was unnecessary.

• Robertson (8/5): Kind, accommodating, and located right in the heart of Dubrovnik! - I can’t say enough words on how kind and accommodating Dora was with me the whole time I was there. The property is right in the heart of the old town and so close to everything you may want to do from riding the cable car, pick up for excursions, and right next to amazing restaurants with wonderful food.

The room was neat and tidy, I had the most comfortable sleep of my whole 5 week trip. The property had everything I needed and close to restaurants and the main attractions. Thanks Dora for all your hospitality and assistance I really appreciate and enjoyed my stay Loft toilet so you need to watch your head
• Carsten (8/5): Wunderschönes Altstadt, Zimmer, mit gehobene Ausstattung direkt im Zentrum Dubrovnik - Ein wunderschönes altes Zimmer in einem Altstadthaus. Sehr komfortabel und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Ausstattung ist gehoben und wirklich schön. Ich hatte das Zimmer Nummer drei, musste über eine steile Treppe in das Bad nach oben gehen, auch hier alles sehr gut ausgestattet, allerdings muss man kleine, schmale, steile Treppen auch gehen können. (Aber sonst würde man wahrscheinlich auch gar nicht zu dem Haus kommen, denn vom Hauptplatz geht es über steile Treppen hinauf).

Muito melhor se hospedar fora da parte murada ou próximo a um portão de acesso por meio de rampa e não esse que tem tantas escadas. Banheiro fica em um andar superior e não tem porta, o que é desagradável. O chuveiro quente só funciona inicialmente e depois para. O quarto é muito apertado. As paredes são de compensado e até as conversas dos quartos vizinhos são audíveis e extremamente incômodas. Ou seja, não é nada silencioso. Por fim, tivemos um problema com o pagamento porque 5 dias antes foi informado que seria apenas em cash e não tínhamos o valor, já q todos os hotéis passaram com antecedência no cartão. Questionando, mas aceitaram que fizéssemos transferência, porém com 4 dias de antecedência, de maneira ríspida e desconfiada. Não gostamos.

Room came with a kitchenette, seating area, large comfortable bed and clean bathroom with toiletries. I was so thankful to find such an accommodating host at such hours of the night after being scammed from a different property.

• Ramya (9/5): Three nights in Old Town - The bed was super comfortable and the check-in process was easy. It was quite central and only a few steps away from the main street and all the hustle and bustle if old town Dubrovnik. Dora was super helpful with her recommendations as well. While the room is small, I believe this is quite common in old town Dubrovnik. Toilet did not seem to have any handrails to dry out used towels or wet clothes. As we were there during summer, we had wet swimwear to dry out. Rooms are quite expensive but again, was during summer and Dubrovnik was very busy. Just make sure you're prepared for stairs as its pretty much everywhere in Old Town.. Large suitcases were a bit annoying for us as it was a mission to get to the room and when we checked out.

There's no drawers or shelves, kind of inconvenient, but there was a couch where we managed to put our clothes. There is a spot with a couple of hangers. And they were kind enough to provide more hangers as we asked. Other than that location couldn't be better, and the host is incredibly nice and helpful. Gave us really good tips. No drawers or shelves to put clothes

• Dan (6/5): Great location, tidy place, but not very big. - The best things about the property were the location and the host - she was super easy to contact and very friendly and helpful. The property was much smaller than what we saw in the photos - there are several rooms, and our one was not featured as extensively as the ones advertised. Our main issue with the room was height- we kept bumping our heads on the slanted roof and stair case that is situated right over the bed. I am sure these issues will be looked into because we let Dora know and she appreciated the feedback. Also paying by cash - it is in the policy, but easy to miss, so make sure you’re carrying cash ready for payment.

The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and incredibly convenient for exploring the Old Town — everything is within walking distance. La única crítica es que la anfitriona debería esperar a sus huéspedes en el lugar donde los deja el taxi, ya que es difícil encontrar el lugar, hay muchas escaleras y nadie te indica exactamente donde esta el alojamiento. Ni hablar que como veníamos de un vuelo de más de 12 horas nos quedamos sin batería en el celular. Por suerte nos encontramos con un chico Francisco, argentino que se alojaba. Cerquita y nos ayudó con las valijas, a cargar el celular y a encontrar el lugar. Dubrovnik es hermosa, digna de conocerse.

Dora var en jättebra värdinna som informerade oss om allt värt att veta om Dubrovnik och sevärdheter. Incheckningen var väldigt smidig och vi fick tydliga instruktioner av Dora om dörrkod och det gick bra att checka in fast vi anlände tidigare. Jag skulle gärna komma tillbaka och rekommenderar detta boende .

• Michael (4/5): Disappointing stay. - The location was very good. On the edge of the old town, but on a quiet street, easily walkable to all the major sites. The establishment is listed as Old Town City Center Apartments, which is misleading. What we booked was actually a small room with an uncomfortably small bathroom. In hindsight, we should have read the description of our particular rental on Booking more carefully. While the room was reasonably clean, the towels were damp, and there was never enough hot water for us both to have showers. Before arriving, we arranged to drop off our bags early, before the posted check-in time at 3.00. The host indicated that the room would likely be ready. When we got there shortly after noon, the room was still being cleaned. The cleaner told us to leave our bags in the hall outside the room, so we asked her to put our bags inside the room when she was done. When we returned several hours later, the bags were still out in the hall. The payment process for the room was unprofessional. We were told to go to a bar in a separate location and pay the barkeep there in cash. When we arrived at the bar, we waited 45 minute before the bartender came around to take our money. We asked for a receipt, which he was unable to give us and suggested we contact the owner the next day. When we did this, the owner asked to remind her later; in the end, we never received the receipt. All in all, this was a disappointing experience.

Given the very central location of the accommodation and being surrounded by fish restaurants, there's a fish smell which is quite intense when you open the windows. But there's not much to do about that since it's outside of the host's control. I'm just mentioning it as a good to know.

• Meng (1/5): Beware! This is a scam property! Do not book! - Nothing The towels had a strong, unpleasant smell—many of them were quite bad. Also, the bathroom is located above the room with no door, which makes it very hot. On top of that, the shower only runs hot water for about 5 minutes before turning cold. The most terrible part is if you leave a true review the owner will text you to delete the review otherwise she will threaten me to falsely accuse me of damage. During my stay, I paid the host in full and in cash, as requested. However, she did not provide any receipt or written confirmation of payment. It now appears that she uses this lack of documentation to threaten guests after check-out, claiming they did not pay. Nearly a week after my check-out date, I left an honest and accurate review of my experience. After I posted my review, the host sent me multiple messages threatening me to delete it. She explicitly stated that if I did not remove the review, she would — and in fact did — accuse me of: Damaging the property; and Not paying for the full stay. However, our message history on Booking.com clearly shows that I asked her to come and collect the cash. Despite this, she later claimed I only paid for one night instead of two. It is simply not credible that she would have allowed us to stay for two full nights if she had only received payment for one. I cannot believe a decent person can do this!

Es gibt keine Tür zur Toilette im oberen Teil. Weiter schläft eine Person unter der Treppe, mit der Gefahr sich zu stoßen.

Meeting the host, Dora, was a real highlight—she was warm, helpful, and stayed in touch throughout our stay. She even offered us a discount at a great nearby restaurant. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a true Dubrovnik experience!

• Daisuke (8/5): - ・旧市街のど真ん中のロケーションで、観光には非常に便利。特にスルジ山へのロープウェイ乗り場にもアクセスが良かった。ただアクセスには多くの階段を経由する必要があるため、重い荷物を持った方にはかなり辛いので要注意。 ・部屋は非常に可愛らしく清潔で、必要な設備が整っていた。清掃は2日に1度入るので申し分なく、特にシャンプーやコンディショナーが設置されていたところが良かった。 ・オーナーは非常に親切で、レスポンスも早くコミュニケーションが楽だった。 ・ボイラーの調子が悪く、時折シャワーで温水が出ないトラブルが頻発した。 ・Booking.comにはほんの小さく記載があったことに気付かなかったが、滞在3日前ほどに｢当日はカード不可。現金払いのみ。｣とのメッセージが突然送られてきた。宿泊費全額分の現金を有していなかったため、急遽キャッシングにて対応したが、予め分かりやすく明示するか、予約時点にてメッセージで知らせていただけると助かる。今後宿泊の方は要注意。

• Katarina (10/5): Coming back here sooner or later! - 1. Location: You take 30 steps down, and you’re on the Main Street. Everything you might need is within the walking distance, restaurants, shops, landmarks, grocery stores, etc. 2. Aesthetics: The apartment keeps the old town charm, with modern facilities. 3. The hostess: Very kind, helpful, professional, welcoming and flexible. 4. The comfort: I don’t know about you, but the bed is what makes it or breaks it for me. I have an office job, so I sit a lot, and then when I travel somewhere I walk a lot, so my back needs its rest. The bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby the entire time! 5. Security: The main entrance is secured by a code, and then you get the key for your apartment. Didn’t worry about my personal things for a second. The only thing that slightly bothered me were loud guests. I know it’s not something anyone can actually control, but maybe having a strict rule for no noise at certain hours would help.
