- Martha Japan (10/5): A flawless stay — easily one of the most comfortable and welcoming hotels I’ve ever experienced. - This is an exceptionally comfortable hotel! The staff are friendly and genuinely caring.
The room was spacious and comfortable, and both the sink area and shower were perfectly clean. The housekeeping staff are truly professional.
I almost hesitate to share this because it feels like a hidden gem… but on the 5th floor, there are not only gym facilities, but also washing machines and dryers! (You need to bring your own detergent or purchase it at the front desk.) At one point, I honestly felt like I could live in this hotel forever.
The hotel is about a 6–7 minute walk from Sports Center Station on the subway. The nearby 7-Eleven is open until 11 PM, and the supermarket and restaurants inside Crystal Plaza stay open until 10 PM. Food delivery is inexpensive and highly recommended in China, and the front desk staff will kindly receive and hold your orders for you. The breakfast was a little too conventional for my taste. If it were around $12, it would feel perfectly reasonable, but at $22, the selection feels somewhat limited and lacks anything particularly memorable or surprising.
- Smart (8/5): A modern and convenient place for a short trip to Shanghai - We stay because it has some form of kitchen and not too far from mall and grocery and access to Metro station. The room is spacious and hotel has small workout room next to laundry It doesn’t provide functional kitchen as listed, that is, no utensils, kitchenware, and refrigerator. Front desk not so helpful in helping communicate with kitchen staff
- Michael (9/5): - Very clean and comfortable room, great Wi-Fi, location ideal for what we wanted, staff super friendly and helpful

- Mark (9/5): - Sleek contemporary design. Comfortable room. Good facilities. Not in the centre of Shanghai but an easy metro ride away.

- Rebecca (10/5): - Nice room and easy to get to the shopping mall.
- Kalpesh (10/5): - The staff was very cooperative, especially Carrie and Elaine were very supportive and warmhearted and helped us with all requirements. We had booked rooms with Microwave but they mistakenly gave us rooms without microwave. However, as soon as we informed them, they gave us a new room 😀
- JUN-YI (10/5): - 人員熱情,地點離商場很近 沒有
- QIULI (8/5): Good Experience Overall, Breakfast Service and Variety Could Improve - The hotel is new and relatively clean, with a great location. However, our breakfast experience was less than ideal. The selection was quite limited, and the staff member at the entrance repeatedly insisted we pay before dining, with a rather unfriendly attitude. We later spoke with the manager, who was polite and helpful, which helped improve our mood.
We hope the hotel can provide more training to staff with a more human-centered approach and consider adding more variety to the breakfast menu.
- Changwei (10/5): Exceptional - totally new and clean / room design breakfast is ok but can be better
- Helen (10/5): Front desk staff went above and beyond. - Evelyn on the front desk was amazing! She went above and beyond to help me sort out my problem. Throughout it she was helpful, kind and patient. This is a great hotel to stay at.

- Jo-lynn (9/5): We had a group of us who booked our stay and the hotel front desk ladies (sorry I didn’t get their names) were extremely - Property was clean and comfortable. NA
- Andrea (4/5): Disappointing - Unfortunately the staff is not Japanese and doesn’t have good attention to the clients. At the reception they first request to scan your passport then they ask you to do the self check in at the machine … two times check in ? The machine is in Japanese and the English translation is not clear, when you ask for help they openly disagree.
The room smell terribly , I sleep for two days with open windows. The breakfast is terrible!!!

Great bed
Excellent location
Great breakfast
- Helen (8/5): Great hotel but needs more consideration for disabled guests. - Stayed for 2 nights. I was put in the disabled room even though I’m not disabled. The room was very nice but there didn’t seem to be an extractor fan in the bathroom so every time you have a hot shower you set off the room’s fire alarm.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Very modern and clean, super friendly staff, big room, excellent facilities (laundry and gym). Only downside was that the internet was a bit patchy, sometimes fine, sometimes slow.
- Arda (4/5): Disappointing -
- Lai Chen Gladys (10/5): - Clean room. Overall comfortable stay
- Jacqueline (8/5): Lovely new neighbourhood just opposite taikooli new mall. - Large rooms, very nice and modern amenities. Free laundry room Too far from city centre- takes 30-40mim to get to the tourists sights.
- Helen (9/5): It’s a hotel that I’ll definitely come back to again if I visit Shanghai. - I’m so happy that I chose this hotel. Bedding is really nice; clean & convenient; close proximity to the metro line 11; super good value; front desk staff Sora is especially helpful at checking in; when he found out that Ctrip mistakenly cancelled my booking; he ensured i was rebooked with same deal & got it done as fast as he could even though his shift ended already. I’m very impressed with his professionalism & the way he handled the situation. David was also very professional & eager to help as well. I’ll definitely come back to this hotel if I come visit Shanghai again. I wish the breakfast could be better.
- Rohan (10/5): Exceptional -

- Rafayel (9/5): Superb -
- Sahib (8/5): Very good -
- Nur (8/5): Great breakfast - Cleanness of the hotel
- Nikol (7/5): Fine, some things to improve - Room is super nice Breakfast - too little fresh fruits and truly fresh homemade things
TV - no western channels
Air con - too high in the reception and bar area, not comfortable
- Mei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tsz (9/5): Delightful stay in Shanghai! - The room is quite lovely. Fairly spacious, clean, modern and a slightly chic, well designed and equipped, with small details here and there that made the stay very comfortable and enjoyable. There were also decent self-serve laundry facility and a nice gym. Staff was friendly and helpful. Getting to the airport was also relatively closer compared to more popular areas. First of all be prepared to spend some time travelling to get to the city center, which is a bit far even by car. The area is also fairly quiet (albeit safe) at night, you'll most likely go to Taikoo Li for food, shopping or hopping on the metro, walkable distance. The room got quite warm at night but the A/C controls didn't change much.
- Derek (8/5): Nice - but restaurants have to open later for travelers. - Good breakfast - lots of options. Restaurants closed ridiculously early in the evening. It was an issue.
- Balendra (9/5): Overall loved the hotel - Hygiene and location Price without breakfast
- Lizette (9/5): Would have liked to stay longer! - Room was beautiful, breakfast was very good. Able to organise taxi. English was well spoken.
- Jinzhen (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (9/5): Lovely place to stay and see Shanghai. - Lovely hotel. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. The pillows on the bed are too high.
- Chiachien (10/5): My mom and I loved this place very much as it was so clean and comfortable. - The service was excellent. One of waitresses in the restaurant who name name is Annie. She gave me and my mom an excellent service as she noticed what we needed at the moment. A lady who worked at the front desk who was so helpful to assist us to check in. Nothing.
- Marco (8/5): Very good -
- Afonso (8/5): Good - Good breakfast but with few International options.
Good lounge and restaurant, great cooking style and good prices.
Gym facility is very good and in clean condition. Poor english comunication for the hotel category.
Bar is not open during evening time, and some employees struggle to comunicate when you are a foreigner.
- Ramusi (8/5): Very good -
- Juliana (10/5): Love the cleanliness, modern design of room, the free selection of drinks and quality toiletries . - Breakfast selection although smaller spread than other hotels in Asia, it is still good and has varieties. The oily smell from frying eggs at the breakfast area affect the atmoshphere.
- Sainbayar (9/5): Superb -
