Guest Reviews
- Alexander (10/5): - Beautiful view of the pyramids and lovely food
- Mateo (10/5): -
- سعيد (10/5): -
- Mario (8/5): Very good -
- Jackson (10/5): The best views - The pictures really do match up to reality. Stunning rooftop terrace with unrivaled views of the pyramids. Welcome drink on arrival was a good touch. Rooms very spacious and comfortable. Lovely bathrooms. Only stayed for 1 night but would stay longer and would return! WiFi didn't really work during my whole stay.
- Nihan (10/5): Giza experience - Clean, staff are friendly yet professional and the location is good, close to the attractions. I’ll actually miss the local flatbread they serve for breakfast.
Oh and the view from the terrace is just lovely!
- Ahmad (10/5): Exceptional - I like the beds sheets and pillows
- Thomale (10/5): I certainly hope to return. - Everything. The location is perfect. The design and decor are very tasteful. It has a great contemporary atmosphere that fits in with the rest of the city. The staff is very friendly, competent and efficient. I can’t say enough good things about this team. They really go above and beyond to please their guests. They are great! Nothing.
- Angelo (8/5): Very good - The staff are so friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my time here. They are very lovely and accommodating
- Louisa (5/5): Disappointed - Good views of pyramid and room otherwise comfortable. I was not happy that considering the bath tubs are a selling feature, that they do not even have water tanks large enough to hold enough heated water to fill it. I managed to fill it only to not even a quarter of the bath. This is very poor considering the emphasis on this feature. My friend in another room has the same situation. Disappointing. Food tools very long time to prepare and the breakfast was about an hour later than we were told it would be the night before.
- Olivia (8/5): Very good -
- Pamela (10/5): Exceptional - The room was exactly as shown in the photos, everything worked perfectly. The hotel staff were always very helpful and polite.
- محمد (10/5): Exceptional -
- Myrannette (7/5): My room was not ready and was given a smaller/cheaper room. - The view of the pyramids was nice. I had booked a Junior suite and upon arrival I was told that my room wasn't ready and they put me in a smaller cheaper room. I didn't get any refund for that one night or credit. In the photos you can see the 1st room and how extremely different it is from the 2nd room(the one I had paid for).
- Anthony (4/5): Didn’t sleep more than about 2 hours a night, bed was rock hard, lots of road noise and was not in the location I booked - The room was very clean and excellent views Wi-Fi almost non existent except when the hotel had more guests. Road noise unbearable all night, mosque noise from opposite hotel at 5am every day.
- Miss (4/5): The views made up for everything, location not great as it’s right outside a mosque (noisy). - The view from room and rooftop of pyramids Bathroom and breakfast
- Ahmed (5/5): Passable - No sound isolation
Price high more than usual
- Julie (9/5): If you're looking for a place with a beautiful view of the pyramids, this is the place to stay! - The staff is very hands on to make sure you have a good experience, the hotel is beautiful and very clean they serve food all day long, as a female solo traveler this was great as I did not want to walk around alone at night looking for food. And I was not disappointed with the quality of the food, it was delicious! I will be going back to Giza in a few days and reserved with them again. A You have to pay cash or by Internet transfer for the room reservation I would've loved to have the option to pay with credit card. Although for all the extras, like dinner, extra water bottles, etc you can pay by card so it's not so bad.
- Kenny (6/5): Overpriced - The staff are nice but that’s it The room pictures are misleading. The listing claims a “Pyramids View” room, but the Pyramids are not visible from the room, only from the balcony and the view is minimal. The room is overpriced, with everything charged at Western prices. The location is inconvenient, unwalkable, and in a bad neighborhood.
- Kushagra (8/5): Very good -
- Bailey (9/5): Superb -
- M (8/5): It is near world history, but also a huge city has been built around it. - The location to the pyramids. Even with all my complaints, I will stay again. Next time i will see if i can get a room without a view (that is where the noise is), the food area on roof was well maintained and the workers try their best to make everyone happy. The hotel is clean and safe and small enough. I can recognize people, and that puts me at ease. The room was not what i booked. I wanted the room with a tub and got 1 with a shower. I felt i was misled. The bed was very close to the outside balcony door, and the noise was very loud from the street, and the last few days, there was street work being done. I didn't really get good sleep.
- Pedro (8/5): Very good - The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the room size was adequate, bathroom facilities were also good! A little communication issue with the reception when booking a tour guide, perhaps a language barrier? Nevertheless, the issue was solved.
- Karine (7/5): Hotel staff were very attentive and helpful, room was small, basic and ok for one night stay. Wouldn’t stay for longer. - Amazing location The outside of the property was extremely unclean and felt quite unsafe. We didn’t leave hotel after dark.
- Mariam (6/5): Could have been better - The roof top was amazing Breakfast was ok but some time they would give a hot drink and a cold drink and some time only one or the other depending g on who was there
On one occasion they said no bread left so we didn’t even get any alternative
- Battaglia (7/5): Overall good hotel & location to visit pyramids, but lot of room for improvement - Views, location near pyramids, staff Not enough insonorization(noises coming from synagog at 5:30, general street noise, etc..), internet, taxes applied when arriving were different than booked ones
- Kimberly (10/5): 10/10 beautiful family run business with heart, excellent stay covering all our needs and great beds - We spent 5 nights at Jimmy's and the bed was AMAZINGLY comfortable. In the top 3 best sleeps of 7 weeks travelling and sleeping in 18 different beds. Anna answered any of our queries before arrival promptly. Then add to that the knowledgeable support and guidance in making sure we felt guided by heart with Uncle Tito and Amir to learn about and feel the pyramids. The hotel can organize any type of experience wanted. The rooftop was a stunning place to spend sun rise and sunset watching the pyramids and having food. The beef dish for dinner was great and Mumma Ami provided more than we could eat in the mornings. The noise on the street could not be helped so earplugs are important. If I return to Egypt, I would stay again. Thank you Anna, Amir, Tito, Islam., Mumma Ami and everyone. the room was noisy just because of the street outside, nothing could be helped except earplugs
- Shannon (10/5): Stay here if you want an AMAZING experience with an INCREDIBLE view! - This is my fourth trip to Egypt in three years. I love this hotel and most of all the family. I continue to come back here because of the family, food and the amazing location! I have another trip planned for next year! nothing!
- Afarah (10/5): Wonderful caring family and staf. They go out their way to make things happen for you. - Location and the pyramid view from the balcony.
Peaceful view while enjoying delicious food served. Nothing
- Afarah (10/5): I have stayed here previously and I will continue upon my travels. - Staff friendliness and family oriented.
The rooftop view of Pyramid and Sphinx
Breakfast served on rooftop cooked by family Nothing
- Mahfoozur (10/5): Exceptional -
- Danielle (10/5): Exceptional - The room was incredible and the view from the rooftop was unbelievable! All the service was great especially the breakfast on the rooftop it was absolutely delicious and Mama Jimmy was so sweet - we will definitely stay again especially because the location is so close to the pyramids!
- Samya (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice and cosy hôtel with beautiful rooms. The hotel is well decorated. The view on the pyramids from the rooftop is amazing. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Thank you Habib, Issam and Negla for you warm welcome.
- Maya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shannon (10/5): Great family owned place. They treat you like family. - Pyramid view and a stone’s throw from the entrance. N/A
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nkrumah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shiraz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Grzegorz (6/5): Need to improve - Place to stay for
- amazing view on pyramids from rooftop terrace
- personel willing to help you in arranging the transport for your trip with your preferences and giving some valuable recommedations for your route Things to consider when booking the stay.
1. They are offering the room when it's not avaible to stay and relocating you for a first night to a different hotel with much lower standard. I was offered only little compensation which doesn't even cover the differance in the room rates posted on Booking.com. My request for an adequate refund wasn't replied at all.
2. I was requested to pay on spot even when they know they have no ready room for you, overpaid 10 EUR more by mistake and they took it without a word.
3. There was a poor breakfast selection, no eggs and nothing changes for a three nights stay.
4. I was sold the papyrus of Nefretete with convicing me it's a Cleopatra, typical Egyptian sells tactics even when expect a hotel to be scam free zone.
5. Specific location with horse riding next to your windows and entrance to the hotel but it's not a hotel fault. It's just the area.
- Shae (9/5): 10/10. Highly recommend!! - The host/staff were amazing! Great location. Very close to the pyramids, about 2 blocks away. Felt like we were in the heart of the city with the locals. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. Very friendly. Rooftop patio is the best view for sphinx and pyramids. The breakfast and falafel are awesome. So good.
- Alifiya (9/5): Superb - Location and people very nice Everything was good..>
- Lia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graziano (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pinky-traveladdict. (10/5): Sensational and magical pyramid views from our room were the highlight of the stay. - The family is very friendly, kind, nice and lovely they made our stay both magical and memorable..
Organized all our tours. Every experience was the best with them. We felt at home it was like we were part of the family. That I couldn't stay and enjoy the company.
- Alexandra (10/5): Beautiful puramid view and friendly staff - The staff was extremely friendly and willing to help with everything. Jimmy Sr. walked us to a SIM card store and ATM when we went down to reception to ask about the whereabouts. Mama Jimmy made the most delicious traditional Egyptian food. Highly recommend. The water takes a little while to get hot but once it does its great temperature and water pressure.
- Kahreela (9/5): My group LOVED it! Everyone at Jimmys is so kind, and Breakfast on the Roof is the best ! - Jimmy's is AMAZING!!!! The Family are so nice and welcoming! Hala's Breakfast was the best breakfast we had in Egypt! My group loved hanging out on the roof with a view!
It is a very special home from home and we will definitely be back xx
- Kurt (1/5): Bad -
- Tim (6/5): No housekeeping - The location is super. Very close to the pyramids. My room wasn't cleaned once.
- Kevin (10/5): Boutique family run little hotel with incredible views of pyramids - Wonderful hospitality. Perfect location next to pyramids.
Clean rooms and hot water. Nice elevator as well. Meals on the rooftop looking at pyramids were magical! Nothing
- Alyssa (10/5): We will be back! Highly recommend! - My husband and I had an AMAZING stay at Jimmy Pyramids View during our time in Cairo. A. Jimmy and M. Jimmy’s hospitality are unmatched! They made us feel at home that it was as if we were visiting and staying with family. We coordinated our tours/excursions with them which was very convenient and easy. We could not get enough of the rooftop balcony with the view of the pyramids. This may be one of the best places we’ve stayed in out of the 35 countries we have visited. Not a big deal, but it was a little tricky for the Ubers to find the property. But once we learned the area it was manageable.
- Alvin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anderson (9/5): Superb -
- Rodney (10/5): Value for money! Giza is quite grotty but once you’re in this hotel it’s like an oasis - The rooftop deck is the major draw card. Great views of the pyramids yet still very affordable. The owner and the staff (his family) so friendly, so accomodating. Uber drivers can some trouble finding it
- Ayush (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matiss (8/5): Very good -
- Shane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Salmanul (7/5): Good -
- Sean (9/5): Superb - Everything...The welcome, the view, the food but especially the fact that nothing was a problem...thanks for a fantastic time Nothing
- Enric (8/5): Very good - At the beginning the neighborhood seems a bit rough, but once you,re installed you realise it is the perfect spot for the pyramids visit. Great rooftop bar
- Emma (9/5): Great first stop in Egypt! - Loved the rooftop with an amazing view of the pyramids. Awesome place to hang out in the evening and enjoy the view. Fresh juices were amazing and breakfast was good.
Jimmy Jr was super helpful in organising things for us and helping with information. Location can be a little confusing for Uber drivers but they always got there eventually!
- Ayşegül (9/5): Nice, helpful people, family business atmosphere. - Great, warm, family business. I purchased a full day Giza tour with a guide, that the hotel arranged. It was the highlight of my trip!
- Philipp (8/5): Very good - Great view, friendly staff, nice location , amazing breakfast
- Jillian (8/5): Very good - The location to the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx was perfect. The rooftop was restaurant was incredible, that is both the food and the view. The staff of the hotel was so helpful!
- Madli-getter (10/5): Absolutely incredible place! 11/10 - Wow, what an extraordinary and incredible experience! I am at loss for words how incredible my stay was at Jimmy Pyramids View hotel! I initially booked for the views and because someone else said this is the best hotel in Giza and I was assured of both when I got here! Truly exquisite look over the pyramids from the hotel rooftop but my highlight of the whole stay was how welcoming their whole family was and how much they made me feel like home. The Jimmy Pyramid family goes out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable and are well looked after, they can take you horseback riding in the desert and organise tours. Everything was super clean and tidy, there were tasty local meals on the menu, the hotel is in a in a safe neighbourhood. Can not recommend this place enough for an unforgettable experience of Egypt! :)
- Elenaki (10/5): Exceptional -
- Skylar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Çağla (2/5): We definitely do not recommend. - Definitely a place where family should not stay. We were deceived by the visuals and made a reservation to stay in the pyramid view, but unfortunately the location is in a very bad neighborhood and we did not feel safe at all. In terms of location, yes, it is close to the pyramids, but the neighborhood it is located in is a dangerous one. Even by car, we were cut off while we were passing by. The sink of our room was very dirty, apart from that, the breakfast was unfortunately tasteless. The room they gave as a pyramid view was facing the construction. The receptionist was very polite and helpful, but other than that, we were not satisfied at all and we definitely do not recommend it. For your safety, we recommend that you stay in hotels near the Nile river. We don't understand how this hotel is rated so highly. Staff got full marks from us, but the hotel was very bad. Toilet floor. The breakfast was insufficient and tasteless. The location was so bad we didn't feel safe and couldn't sleep.
- Borj (7/5): Good - Staff were good. Breakfast was fab, traditional Egyptian breakfast. Kitchen ladies were so nice. Location is a bit dodgy. Be careful with the mini shops nearby as they charge ridiculous price if youre a foreigner.
- Carolina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Miguel (10/5): excelente - Incredible place, the Jimmy hotel was an incredible experience, everything is very professional and the family is devoted to their vocation, thank you very much indeed for everything, we also took the tour of the pyramids and horses, it was very interesting and everything was very good
- Kailey (10/5): Stay here! It’s the best hotel in Cairo/ Giza!!! - The best hotel in Giza! Hotel staff were so so amazing… Breakfast with the most amazing view of the Pyramids. Jimmy took us for a sunrise horse Treck around the desert and we had such a great time. The entire family working there took care of us so well. the hotel rooms were so clean and modern. I recommend booking their suite with the stand alone bath, especially for couples!
there’s excursions that they can book for you and we did two full day trips with the hotels connected tour guide. she was amazing! even brought us to the shop to get our grocery’s after a full day of touring.
cannot thank the staff enough for their attentiveness and praise the hotel enough.
stay here! you won’t regret it!!!…. Nothing! everything was perfect!
- Steve (10/5): Wonderful, Cozy and Amazing Owners. - We were a group of 6 traveling to Giza for the first time and absolutely loved our stay. While our stay was short, we created some amazing memories at this place. This is a family run hotel and the it's clear a ton of pride, care and thought go into running it. The view from the rooftop is incredible - we didn't want to leave. The homemade breakfast by their momma is delicious (she makes a jam that's so good)! We also booked a couple tours (ATV and sunset horseback ride) through the hotel which were a lot of fun. Would highly recommend and stay here again. This wasn't on the hotel but wish we would have checked the dates for the pyramid light show. It would have been great to watch from the rooftop.
- Jim (10/5): good - the feel of it when you walk-in where everything was place
- Doran (10/5): Family-run hotel overlooking Giza Pyramids with excellent staff, clean rooms and home cooked meals - During my stay at Jimmy's Pyramid View, a remarkable family-owned hotel overlooking the majestic Pyramids of Giza, we got to experience everything and more. The views, the DELICIOUS home-cooked food, the attentive staff, and their eagerness to provide an unforgettable experience. The highlight of this remarkable hotel is without a doubt its unrivaled location, with a rooftop overlooking the pyramids and the city below. As our hosts, The Jimmy's went above and beyond as they took us out around Giza, horseback riding at sunset by the pyramids and even karaoke on the roof! It was clean and lovely and we will definitely be back!!
- Paul (7/5): Good cheap hotel to stay in for a couple of night. - within walking distance to the pyramids. The breakfast and view from the rooftop.
The owner Jimmy was friendly and offered a range of activities. Was also English speaking which helped. shower was average and stopped working on last day.
- Fernando (10/5): The best of Pyramids - It is possible to find a familiar and welcoming atmosphere in this hotel. I was literally hugged by everyone. I didn't find anything that I didn't like during my stay at this hotel. I loved all of them.
- Joanna (10/5): Exceptional - Awesome location, delicious food, hospitality more than exceptional! Will do it again! Thank you 😍🌟🙏
- Jim (1/5): Bad -
- Dafne (10/5): Exceptional - Such a lovely stay with amazing helpful and kind staff, the room is so comfortable and spacious with a lovely view! The rooftop is my favourite, perfect place to chill and have some tasty food from mama Jimmy! would definitely be coming back and highly recommend ✨
- Brendon (10/5): the place is wow but the people who run the hotel are the best… - everything… clean, tidy and beautiful.. the location is crazy close to the pyramids and sphinx!! feel safe in the city… the people are so welcoming and friendly.. nothing!
- Mitchell (10/5): A gem in the heart of Giza - Wow, where do you start? as soon as we arrived we were welcomed as if we were part of the family. We felt instantly at home. Jimmy - what a character! Extremely accommodating and was on hand to help with local tours and day trips around the area. Rooms are beautifully finished and offer the BEST views of the pyramids from the balconies and the newly updated rooftop. All staff in the hotel are amazing, if you are looking for a diamond in the heart of Giza then look no further than Jimmy Pyramids View. A trip I will never forgot and will certainly be returning in the near future! Thankyou to everyone that made our stay so unique and special No faults whatsoever, you will not find a better gem in Egypt than this place
- Gimmy (10/5): Exceptional - Jimmy’s family was absolutely made my trip is the best , they makes you feel home and learn the traditional about there country they also arrange for me tours in Giza and old Cairo , safari for one night and I had one of the best guide Tito there uncle
I was really amazed with the history and the view from the rooftop is the best infornt of the 3 pyramids & Sphinx
thank you Jimmy’s family everything was great 😊
- Jamal (10/5): My stay was far beyond my expectations! Amazing! - The view was phenomenal! The Jimmy family is just as amazing, made my Egypt trip special and unforgettable! I recommended this entire experience without a doubt!
- Joanne (10/5): Beautiful spot to see the pyramids and excellent service from the family who run it . - Great people who run it and the location.
- Anonymous (10/5): memorable - A brilliant home away from home. A family run business with a team that can’t do enough for you. A brilliant place to stay if wanting to visit the pyramids of Giza, not only is the entrance a few minutes walk away, but the view of the pyramids from the rooftop terraced is unbeatable. Watching the sunset over the pyramids from Jimmys rooftop terraced is one of the highlights of my life thus far. Thanks for everything Guys. Emma x
- Annika (10/5): Best views, food and value for money. - Loved the family vibe of this place and felt well taken care of. For the room we were expecting a side view to the pyramids but we ended up with a balcony directly facing the pyramids - waking up with that view was unbelievable. The room was clean and comfortable and offered more than enough space for two people. The roof terrace was another highlight - watching the sunset over the pyramids during dinner is probably one of the best experiences I've ever had. The breakfast was also fantastic, freshly prepared every morning and authentically Egyptian. Overall an amazing stay, would definitely book again.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - 5 stars. Thanks to Jimmy and the family. Service was great and provided us with tour guides and transportation. Great hosts.
- Reid (10/5): I feel like family now, and you will too - You will never get a view like Jimmys, nor the authentic Egyptian homeliness they provided. they treated me like family, took me to ride a horse in the sunset, took me to get my egp sim card, made home made Egyptian food for me. You can’t get this sort of care, I loved everything about Jimmys - 100/10
- Frederic (10/5): Unforgettable stay with view of the Pyramids - Excellent location in front of the Pyramids! Everything was fine, I was given a room with a view directly on the Pyramids, and the rooftop is really nice to have breakfast and dinner with an unforgettable view. Great value for the money for the room, but to book tours with the hotel, the tours are pricey. But, I will say that they were high quality.
- Shannon (10/5): Amazing family, views, food, hospitality - highly recommend! - This is the second time I have stayed and Jimmy Pyramids View and both times they have gone above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable, feel like you are at home and have everything that you need. The family that runs it are amazing and make you feel that you are a part of their family. You can also schedule your tours right there in the lobby, which makes it very convenient. I highly recommend staying here!
- Ana (10/5): it was lovely to stay there - I loved the perfect location (literally 2 min walking from the entrance to the Pyramids) the beautiful rooftop and the helpful staff The building is a lil bit old but I asume is because it’s the style of the area where is located
- Konta (10/5): Exceptional - I enjoyed my stay there. Beautiful view of the pyramids from the rooftop. The team is very nice
- Delgadillo (5/5): If you live in the United States, you should keep in mind that a 3-star hotel in Cairo would be comp - You only have one option, you can't ask for anything extra And because you're on the terrace, there's a lot of wind and sand on the tables and when they serve it without it, it's already cold Typical breakfast, I don't like it. They serve very little, stop tasting. They charge for breakfast but if you want orange juice you have to pay for it separately.
- Christine (9/5): Superb - The family who run it Some expenses were higher than expected
- Jamisyn (8/5): Very good - the balcony view was really amazing and the bed was really comfortable. staff were also very accommodating and the breakfast was good I didn’t have any hot water for my shower
- Simon (6/5): A good cost effective place to say in Giza with a fantastic view of the pyramids and friendly staff. - The view was great from the terrace. The staff were friendly. They arranged breakfasts in reception when we had to leave early and the food was good. The only downside to this place was the roof terrace service was very slow and the serving staff seemed a bit inexperienced. Book with this in mind then it won't niggle you.
- Scott (8/5): Good choice if seeing pyramids on a budget. - Basic but clean and comfortable with nice staff. Right outside of pyramids complex with great view from balcony room. Restaurants are within walking distance. nothing for the price.
- Streian (7/5): OK, value for money vs location. - The view / top roof terrace. For breakfast, local food is very limited - but OK, but one morning they charge us for coffee, usually the water/coffee/tea should be included in the"breakfast".
- Rebecca (6/5): Unparralled view of the pyramids and nice hotel but expensive compared to other similar places - Fantastic view of the pyramids from the terrace. It was clean and the room was spacious and nice. Watch out for added costs. At breakfast we were offered cake which we accepted only to find it cost 150EGP after the event.
The food is very expensive at the hotel. You could pay less (and for a heartier meal) if you took a taxi into Cairo and ate somewhere in downtown. Two tiny teas cost 100EGP and the water tasted of limescale.
We paid £9 (GBP) extra for our stay due to an out of date exchange rate the hotel used.
The laundry lost a pair of my socks. They gave me someone else’s.
- Gabriela (6/5): Pleasant -
