• Megan (10/5): Lovely B&B! - Ian and his partner! Incredibly helpful and friendly. For example, they helped us book a taxi and told us how much we should pay for an airport transfer. The breakfast- the fresh thick sliced bread with Calafate jam and eggs. Rooms look like the photos. Quiet but great location off the Main Street but close enough to walk to the heart of the town.

Muy limpio; desayuno delicioso, casero y muy fresco. Lo mejor de nuestra estadía fue la atención de Ian y Tatiana, desde el momento 0 te hacen sentir como en casa. Ian tiene la mejores recomendaciones de restaurantes para toda ocasión y las conversaciones las disfrutamos mucho también. Se nota que aman lo que hacen. Es un lugar con muchísimo encanto y lo recomendaría 100% a cualquier persona que visite El Calafate.

• Amanda (10/5): Our favorite hotel experience! - We travelled in Patagonia for several weeks and this was our favorite hotel experience (all of them were wonderful so that’s really saying something). We got great recommendations from hosts Ian and Tatiana, and they were friendly and helpful at every turn. We had left something at the bus station and they helped us negotiate for our airport taxi to stop on the way (no extra charge). The breakfast was delicious, the room was very comfortable - we particularly enjoyed the ceiling fan. The view from the breakfast/common area and from our room, which was lake view, was gorgeous. We loved watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee and delicious pastries offered during breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Het ontbijt was heel lekker en gevarieerd met zelfgemaakte producten. Ze bieden ook de optie aan om een lunchpakket te bestellen als je op uitstap gaat. Qua locatie is het heel rustig. Op wandelafstand zijn er een aantal goede restaurants. Je kan ook gemakkelijk naar het natuurrreservaat Laguna Nimez wandelen. Wij raden deze accomodatie heel erg aan. Helemaal niets

• monique (10/5): Excellent place with friendly and helpful hosts - This is a small place, run by Ian and his wife who are very friendly and helpful hosts. The location is great, away from the city centre but within walking distance so you can get a good night sleep. The room and public areas were basic but clean and comfortable. Breakfast had everything you need from juice, cheese cold meat m, homemade bread to freshly prepared eggs. We stayed here twice, before and after our visit to El Chalten. Would recommend staying there Nothing

• Blair (10/5): Lovely ! - An absolutely delightful place to stay in Calafete. Ian and Tatiana made us feel like we were staying with good friends. Our room was quiet and comfortable with a view of their beautiful rose bushes and the hills above the town. There was always plenty of hot water. A delicious breakfast was provided with fresh made-to-order eggs and a lovely view of the lake and mountains. It was only a short walk into the center of town. Everything was perfect!

• Jay (10/5): Must Stay in Calafate! - The best hostel I've ever stayed at maybe in the world. Ian & Tatiana are such welcoming hosts and made sure I was at home from the moment I arrived. They go above and beyond to get to know you and make you feel part of their family. The room I stayed in was really comfortable and was a great place to unwind after days of excursions and exploring the area. The breakfast was also a standout, consisting of fresh pastries, yogurt, fruit, and they'll even make eggs for you upon request. Such a great way to start every day! I couldn't recommend staying here enough. It's truly a hidden gem in Calafate!
• Christopher (10/5): A Gem of a Stay! - We loved this hotel. The breakfast was very nice with a great view of the lake. We enjoyed meeting the cats Perico and Grissini. Ian, the host was especially kind and helpful. The location was close to the Main Street but quiet and has a beautiful garden. They also were able to wash my laundry which was helpful after hiking 5 days. A great choice! Nothing!
• Yair (10/5): A great place to stay at El Kalafate - We liked practically everything. Ian and Tatiana were so hospitable and welcoming. They filled every request we had and were extra helpful with recommendations on any topic we raised. I will definitely come back if I ever visit El Kalafate again. Location is great. A minute walk from Av. Libertador (practically the only real street in town). The room was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Nothing to write here

• Loukas (10/5): Gemütliche Unterkunft mit herzlichen Gastgebern! - Wir fanden die Unterkunft sehr gemütlich und ideal, um einige Tage die Gegend zu erkunden. Der Gastgeber Ian und seine Frau sind unglaublich herzlich, proaktiv und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns wie zuhause gefühlt. Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls sehr lecker und uns wurde sogar ein lunch pack gemacht, weil wir wegen eines Ausflugs sehr früh los mussten. Die Unterkunft ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und enthält alles Wichtige. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!

• Ivan (10/5): European quality of stay in El Calafate - A charming little hotel run by the wonderful Ian and Tatiana, perfectly located within walking distance of everything worth seeing in El Calafate’s town centre. Room: Spacious, spotless, and well-stocked, with blackout curtains—a much-appreciated feature for those of us who aren’t early risers. Breakfast: Delicious and homemade—a perfect start to the day. Wi-Fi: Fast and reliable. Parking: Ample space around the property. Despite a large event in town, we had no trouble finding a spot right next to the B&B, as it’s located on a residential street. For those seeking European standards of service and quality in Argentina, this guesthouse is an excellent choice. And last but not least—we had dinner at the property, expertly cooked by Ian, and it was absolutely outstanding! Highly recommended. There was only one downside worth mentioning: Bathroom amenities – This is more of an Argentina-specific detail than a hotel issue, but there was no shower gel provided—only bar soap. However, shampoo and conditioner were available.

Friendly and very helpful owners, Ian and Tatiana, who go out of their way to be supportive and are great in a crisis- As we found out when we had some external travel issues! The accommodation is private, but very close to the main street and some lovely little restauarants and shops. The rooms were big and airy with good ambiance. Thanks so much, we appreciated staying with you and will do so again if we have the chance. It was all good.
