• Sherene (10/5): - The hotel was exceptional. I unfortunately hurt my ankle while in Gjirokaster and had to stay an extended amount of time in town and this is where I stayed. Originally one night I extended to three nights and the staff were happy to extend my stay for me. The staff was 24/7 and helped me order food delivery and organising the bus to Tirana. They even dropped me off at the bus stop which was super helpful due to my crutches. I would recommend a stay here for anyone who needs a couple of night in between places. Nightly price was good and the room was clean.

Al nostro arrivo ci ha accolto un ragazzo molto molto intelligente, gentile e ospitale, il suo nome è Cris, si vede che ama il suo lavoro e lo sa fare benissimo, ci ha consigliato di visitare Argirocastro e ci ha spiegato come arrivarci (tra l’altro sono 10/12 minuti a piedi dall’hotel quindi è anche comodo, consiglio di andarci la sera è stato stupendo, c’è vita). L’hotel era pulito, e noi siamo stati benissimo! Complimenti! Grazie Cris❤️

Il frigo non è in stanza ma mettono a disposizione un frigo con dell'acqua gratis. Non ha il box doccia come la maggior parte degli hotel in Albania

• Georgia (8/5): Very good - Hotel magic was a convenient location along the busy boulevard with lots of shops and restaurants, and only a 20 minute walk to the old town (but uphill so some may need a taxi). The room was simple but as advertised, very clean and comfortable and everything we needed to rest after busy days exploring. The receptionist/manager was extremely friendly and helpful in recommending places in Gjirokaster and making sure our stay was as comfy as possible. They provide a fridge for free in the communal corridor and offer x2 small bottles of water with this. The parking isn't clear, you can either park on the street which is quite busy or ask to be shown the parking in the alley behind the hotel (the staff were very friendly to help show us this and direct parking). The bathroom is a wet room so you end up with lots of water around the toilet, however they do provide sliders/slippers to help with this. There is a small city tax that gets added on to the price of staying so bear that in mind when preparing cash for your stay.

• Travelfest (10/5): Perfect value option for Gjirokastër visit - Fabulous choice of hotel. Sparkling clean. Great location in centre of new town right near the bus stop for the castle (40 lek) if you don't fancy the steep climb and very near the intercity bus station (6 minute walk ). Lovely helpful staff. Lots of hot water. Comfy bed. Near the shops, bakeries and eateries. Great value.
• K (5/5): Friendly staff, old propert can hear noises from other rooms. Not worth for the price - The staffs are so friendly Before entering the property i asked the staff whether they accept card payment( because we were on our last day and was short on euro or late as it costs 700 lake for 1 transaction) I think he couldn’t understand what we said and told me its okay and finally i had to give all the money i had and need to withdraw again, also the facilities were so poor as i had stayed in better hotels for the same price
• Waldek (10/5): Lower Gjirokastra with tradition - We have booked it for one night 3 hours before arrival from Tirana. I must say it was best choose. I like hotel where I can share scent of local tradition and sounds of the day and night there. There is everything for those who like it. There also local home restaurant on the street and market and local cafeteria. Also worth to mention is the hotel manager - very helpful . Nothing. But this hotel is only for those who prefer live in the local enveriment.. sometime noisy. But not always.
