Thanh-Tam (9/5): Beautiful traditional house at a gate to the old town of Gjirokastër. - The hotel is in a beautiful traditional house with a garden, looking on hills and traditional houses. Its entrance is one level below the main pedestrian square, which can be accessed through a public elevator (when it works) or by a large outdoor staircase. The room decoration is also traditional. From the square, the heart of the old town is paces away. The reception is friendly.

Comfortable beds and extra blankets and pillows are provided. The owner Ermal was extremely helpful in terms of logistics and recommendations. I can heartily recommend this place. No complaints!

lelio (9/5): - Posizione fantastica.. si entra nella struttura direttamente dal parcheggio multipiano ed è nel centro di Gijrokaster. Gentilezza del personale. Stanza sufficientemente ampia con letto comodissimo (almeno per me). Tutto molto pulito. Buona colazione (essendo un albergo a condizione familiare non è una colazione da grand hotel!). Consigliatissimo! Le stanze hanno le tende e al mattino entra luce, quindi, per chi ha il sonno leggero, si sveglia (la mia compagna ha dormito senza problemi). La nostra stanza era al piano terra a ridosso del cortile dove si fa colazione (molto bello!) quindi se gli altri ospiti sono rumorosi, si sente (ma anche qui, dipende dalla sensibilità). Comunque permanenza ottima su tutti gli aspetti nonostante questi difetti

The location is perfect, just steps away from the heart of the town and in a lovely tranquil location. The family room was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers.

Parcheggio a pagamento (citato in presentazione ma senza specifica del costo aggiuntivo; fortuna è economico) e scomodissimo. Nessun servizio per trasporto bagagli. Tentato contatto telefonico all'arrivo, il telefono di servizio risultava isolato. Prezzo ok ma solo perché ho prenotato in "last minute offer".

Der Mitarbeiter war äusserst nett und unkompliziert. (Haben eine Nacht kostenfrei stornieren können, da sich unsere Reisepläne geändert haben).

Direct na het boeken kregen we een mail met een wegbeschrijving en de informatie in verband met het parkeren. Bij het ontbijtbuffet was een ruime keuze en alles werd aangevuld indien nodig. Een aanrader om te verblijven in Gjirokaster!

OL (8/5): Ubicació bona, net, polit i ben decorat. - Hotel perfectament ubicat, al casc antic de la ciutat i amb accés directe des d'un carrer peatonal. Tot i estar al centre molt silenciós que permetia descansar bé. Molt net i ben decorat. Esmorzar abundant i bo. L'hotel portes endins i la terrassa són perfectes i disenyades amb molt de gust. Actualment hi ha obres molt grans a la zona exterior, on l'Ajuntament està fent un aparcament públic i una plaça, quan acabin sembla que serà molt positiu per l'hotel, però ara per ara, impedeix aparcar el cotxe proper. Cal fer un trajecte d'uns 7 minuts o bé anar per una dressera d'uns 3 minuts creuant el pati d'una casa abandonada en runes. Jo hagués agraït que el propietari ens hagués informat d'aquestes circumstàncies amb anterioritat, doncs un factor de decisió de la contractació va ser l'accessibilitat.

Prekrasna lokacija u starom dijelu grada, korektno osoblje spremno za pomoć, izuzetno čiste sobe. U blizini (bukvalno na razdaljini od 15m!) je odlična, jeftina (24 h-4 eura) javna garaža. They didn’t offer any help when I was leaving the hotel. The roads in Gjirokaster are quite difficult, with many stairs, making it almost impossible to walk with luggage. Unfortunately, they didn’t seem to care about this or the convenience of their guests.

Gail Kavanagh (10/5): A truly wonderful experience - We had an excellent stay. A very warm welcome from the staff and owner. The hotel is in an excellent location in the heart of the old bizar. Beautifully restored to its original condition.The view of the mountains from our room was stunning. Parking was next to the hotel. We had a peaceful and comfortable nights sleep. The shower was powerful and included shower gel, which was a nice touch. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. We loved everything about Gjirokester and so glad we came while on a road trip in Albania. I would definitely recommend Kastro Hotel and would definitely stay again. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Pero (10/5): Just wonderful - Wonderful little establishment, right in the middle of beautiful Gjirokaster. We enjoyed our short stay there very much. The room was super clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom too. In the morning a buffet breakfast of a very good variety was offered with outside seating on a very nice terrace. And to top it all, the hosts and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. A clear 10/10 from us. Everything was just perfect. The only regret we had was not staying a bit longer both at the hotel and in Gjirokaster.

Armin (9/5): Perfekt für Besuch von Girokaster. - Perfekte und sehr ruhige Lage in Girokaster. Besonders angenehm ist der direkte Zugang aus der äußerst günstigen öffentlichen Parkgarage. Das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung. Das Gebläse der Klimaanlage kann nicht gedrosselt werden. Da es in der Nacht aber meistens kühl ist, kann man bei offenem Fenster schlafen.

Arjan (10/5): - Mooi authentiek hotel. Prima kamer met prima badkamer. Je loopt direct het centrum in. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en helpt je overal mee. De eigenaar bracht ons de volgende dag zelfs persoonlijk naar het bus station. Ontbijt ook prima!
