• Diaz (8/5): - El ambientr era lindo y calmado, la habitacion comoda y el baño muy lindo. La atencion de blanca fue impecable y la ubicacion muy cerca de todo. No tenia television en la habitacion, tenia una ventana que no se cerraba durante el dia pasas frio y a la noche esta calentito. No habia aire acondicionado ni nada por lo que si hacia frio tenias que aguantarlo. Y la cocina bastante fea, algunos lugares se ven mal con respecto a las fotos.

• Ariel (10/5): - La señora que se encarga de la administración y limpieza del hotel, te hace sentir sumamente comodo, es super agradable y buena. Para quienes busquen un hospedaje de lujo claramente este no es el lugar, pero el mayor lujo que tiene es Blanca que no solo cuida y adminstra el espacio sino que cuida y trata amorosamente a sus huespedes. En nuestro caso teníamos el horario de vuelta a nuestra ciudad posterior al horario del check-out y ella sin ningún problema nos permitio quedarnos un tiempo más para que no tengamos que perder tanto tiempo, además se ofrecio a cuidarnos nuestro equipaje en el caso de que tengamos que dejar la habitación por alguna reserva. Los baños los van a encontrar siempre limpios, no importa cuando vayan, todo esta limpio constantemente.

A cama era confortável e tem calefação pros dias mais frios. As áreas conjuntas estavam sempre sendo mantidas limpas. A cozinha, na primeira impressão, parece suja. Faltam utensílios e poderia ter sal e óleo e pano de prato a disposição pois são coisas básicas para lugares com cozinha compartilhada.

• rendon (5/5): En la espera. - Blanca es la mejor persona que podrían tener en el lugar. No escuchó el teléfono ni que tocaba el timbre, pero pidió disculpas y fue muy amable. En la cocina hay heladera, y todo lo necesario para cocinar. Las plantas en el jardín interior son hermosas y le dan un toque precioso. Tuve que esperar 45 minutos para que me abran la puerta. Pidieron disculpas e hicieron un pequeño descuento. Había mucho olor a Kaotrina, pero muy mucho. Entiendo que es parte de mantener plagas a raya y esta bien, solo que no estoy acostumbrada a ese olor tan feo y fuerte. Arriba estuvieron corriendo muebles y me costó muchísimo dormir la primer noche. Hacía frío, pero porque estaba cerrada la entrada del radiador en el dormitorio. El baño está considerablemente lejos de la habitación, aunque Blanca los mantiene impecables. El colchón, las sábanas y acolchado viejos, pero lógico por el precio. En realidad creo que no me gustó viajar a BsAs con tan poco dinero y no disponer para un lugar mejor. Por el precio el lugar es excelente. Si piensan usar vajilla en el lugar es plástica y está un poco fea. Tienen que tocar los dos timbres al llegar, porque es grande adentro, no da la impresión cuando uno llega, pero te sorprende al entrar la dimensión.

Blanca (the person in charge) is eager to make you feel appreciated, extremely pleasant and hard working. This hotel is surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and everything you may need, it’s 4 blocks to Avenida 9 de Mayo, close to Congress etc etc There is a very disruptive group of young people in the adjacent hotel that very often stay up until around 2:00 AM with total disregard for others.

• Richard (4/5): Very basic - Centrally located. The property had a kitchen for guests use. Friendly landlady ( who can only speak Spanish) Very basic room. Toilet in the room was out of use, although not sure I’d have known how to use it if it had been working. No natural light in to room.
• Ryan (10/5): Quiet hostel off the beaten path - This place was the best value that I could find in Buenos Aires! Monserrat is not trendy like Palermo but it's close to many landmarks and museums and has tons of transit options. The host, Blanca, was sweet, friendly, and helpful, even though my Spanish is very limited. Hanging out near the kitchen I met travelers from all around the world but it was a very quiet hostel after about 9pm, mostly couples who kept to themselves. Ask for a price quote in pesos when you book since you will be paying in effectivo, don't worry, the conversion rate they use is favorable for foreigners. The wi-fi is very reliable. If you're sensitive to heat, maybe not the best place to stay in high summer (Jan-Feb). My private room just had a fan, no AC. Any other season I'm sure it's more comfortable.
• Tyler (10/5): Comfortable rooms, friendly staff. - The room was so big and spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The lady who runs the hostel is extremely sweet and helpful. There is a public kitchen where you can cook your own meals and even though the bathrooms are shared, they are kept very clean and there are mutliple available for use. The area is safe and close to a lot of restaurants and shops. I definitely recommend staying here when you are in Buenos Aires. They also have pretty good WiFi. Our room was located by the main street so it was bit noisy at times, however this is just luck of the draw.

• Francis (7/5): Good - Hotel El Pibe seemed very central to me, I was able to walk easily to Congresso, San Telmo, Microcentro etc. It was very useful having gas hobs to cook on (but note there is no electric kettle, coffee machine or microwave.) The whole hotel is kept spotlessly clean and there are ample showers and toilets. I had a lot of difficulty with the door at the shared entrance onto the street (and I was not the only one.) The lock needs a knack which I did not develop until the fifth day of my six night stay...

• Claire (10/5): Great Location, Very Clean - An absolutely fantastic location close to buses and the Subte. Walking distance from San Telmo and other landmarks. The woman who works there is fantastic, she's so lovely. We don't speak Spanish and she doesn't speak English but she was very patient with us and our Google Translate. She scrubs the kitchen and bathrooms clean every morning, it's spotless, and halfway through our first stay we were given fresh towels and linen. She also offered to clean our room during our stay. Early check in is accommodated where possible but of course, if there's someone in the room it's not always doable. The kitchen is functional and has everything you need. We stayed here twice and would definitely come back. The only downside is the fact the rooms are fan cooled, not air conditioned, so it can get stuffy and a bit uncomfortable. We just turned the fan up and used earplugs to block out the noise of it.

• P (4/5): Could be nice or terrible, depending on room - The hotel is located near all center places. It has a great hallway, where you can sit, some area are under the open sky and its very fresh there. The room was very small, aprox 2x3.5 meters. There were more confortable rooms also. The facility has WC and bath cabins instead of dedicated rooms. And the most disappointing issue that I could not sleep at the night, neighbors upstairs made so much noise at any time of the day that I wasn't able to sleep enough. I stayed for two nights, and slept around 5hrs and 3hrs on the next night. I am traveling a lot, but rarely have such awful quality of sleep.

• Emer (8/5): Lovely short stay before onward travel - The host was super friendly and helpful and was always a quick message away. She allowed us to check out a little later and leave our bags. The location is great, within walking distances of lots of main things to do. Very safe and secure and a supermarket underneath. Kitchen facilities weren’t very good.
• Gaetan (3/5): Don't go there if you can. It's worth half the price on booking - The bed is very big and comfortable, and the room is big. The people are very friendly. That's it. If you must sleep here, ask for a room far from the street. Otherwise it is super noisy, no sound isolation. Looks like the small bedrooms upstairs, after the kitchen are much better. Not a real hostel, more like a weird flat. not mentioned on google, and very complicated to enter. No bathroom, just toilets very far from the room with a shower hanging. For that price you have accomodations so much better!
