- Bich (8/5): A practical place to stay for those prioritizing location. - The hotel is quite small and a bit dated, with a compact elevator and room amenities at a basic level. However, its location is unbeatable—right on La Rambla pedestrian street, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city from early morning to late at night. The beach and major attractions are all within walking distance. The staff were friendly, courteous, and professional. Breakfast was simple but thoughtfully prepared. While the facilities are not particularly modern, this is a very practical place to stay for those prioritizing location.
- Laura (8/5): It is a nice hotel, in a great location. Near to many points of interes. - The location was perfect and the room was very confortable. Some things in the hotel are very old. Also the lady who serves the breakfast was nor very friendly.
- Terazon (10/5): Amazing - Joseph and the rest of the staff at the desk were amazing. Very attentive and knowledgeable with the area and recommendations. Didn’t disappoint! Love the attitude and attention we received. It felt like home . Thanks you all the beautiful staff, that made our stay special. The hospitality
- Juan (9/5): I’ll come back , very good experience - Wry good location , very nice staff Shower has no enough pressure
- Alberto (2/5): Very poor -
- Paspartu85 (7/5): Good -
- Ruby (9/5): Had a good time staying at fornos hotel - I like that the receptionists were all accomodating The cleaner at the breakfast room. It is not nice that she takes the plate when people are still eating.
- Nehal (9/5): Superb -
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Lee (3/5): Great location shame everything else is how I’d imagine a prison to be. - Location was great and secure No window in room, noisy guests at 4am, breakfast was terrible, very expensive for a economy hotel
- Greg (9/5): Superb -
- Joanna (7/5): Good - Great location and friendly staff. Clean room with air-conditioning and good WiFi connection. The breakfast was okay. Absolutely fine for a couple of nights, not an entire week though. The furniture is dated and the room would profit from a few hooks to hang towels and bags on. It can get noisy when other guests decide to slam their doors as if they are alone at the hotel.
- Simon (6/5): Pleasant -
- Bassam (8/5): Very good -
- Sally (5/5): Passable -
- Antonis (7/5): Good -
- Shawn (9/5): I would definitely reserve there again! - Location and cleanliness were exceptional! I had to get a' do not disturb" sign from the reception desk.
- Lerato (5/5): Passable -
- Vania (6/5): Pleasant -
- Marko (9/5): Superb - Friendly staff, the rooms are quiet with the balcony doors closed even if it's noisy outside. There is even a non stop store around the corner. Will definitely come again.
- Katrina (9/5): Nice hotel in a good location. Breakfast included - Location.
Breakfast included till 10.30am
24 hour reception
Has a lift I’m being picky but maybe a mattress protector or something between the sheet and the mattress would be nice/hygienic and some hooks in the bathroom for towels (zero places to hang a towel in the bathroom after the shower)
- Christine (9/5): Nice room, comfortable, great location. - Location was great, close to the action but not overly noisy. The reception staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. TV was a little small, not a major problem.
- Emilia (3/5): Poor - only location was great Rooms are very small and dark. There is no possibility of ventilation, due to the fans in the back yard.
Price inadequate for such quality.
- Michael (10/5): Good hotel in central location - Breakfast was more than adequate
- Daniela (10/5): Amazing Experience in this Hotel - Amazing place to stay. Wonderful experience, increible location, near restaurants, subway and a lot of interesting places to visit.
Great breakfast with options.
The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, Joseph and Andrea, made our stay with the hotel an amazing experience.
100% recommended. Nothing.
- Kevin (7/5): Good -
- Fred (10/5): Great value and a great location - Location is great. Balcony on La Rambla, but good windows keep most of the sound out. Amazing location next to two plazas with good restaurants. Comfortable bed. Breakfast is basic, packaged food, but there’s fruit and, and it’s included
- Ahmed (7/5): Good - The location is perfect
Breakfast was not good with limited choices Although the location is perfect but expected the facility to be more comfortable
- Kasama (6/5): Nothing - Every thing is okay but noisy Toilet no outside
- Jack (7/5): Good -
- Laura (6/5): Pleasant -
- Marija (8/5): Very good -
- Andrea (4/5): expected a bit more from the reviews - close to the metro and in a central position. breakfast was not great. while there was some choice, the food was not good. the room had a view on the intern, the music from the street was loud.
you have to leave the keys at the reception unless you pay a fee. the ac needed some cleaning.
- Darko (8/5): Very good -
- Oleg (9/5): Superb -
- Martha (10/5): Exceptional - Location, breakfast, comfortable
- Eyitoyosi (7/5): Functional and great access to the city - Very nice location with easy access to the city Centre and so many places around to eat and drink.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are functional, has a working Wi-Fi and also a working AC. The bathroom is okay and came with shampoo, gel and bar soap as well as towels. There is a small tv in the room as well.
I particularly like that I could store my luggage after check out until time for departure to the airport. The elevator works but has a smell.
Didn’t really like that I had to drop my key every time I was going out, didn’t feel safe but then again, they have access when they need to clean the room so ….
- Fradj (7/5): Good -
- Ilya (8/5): Very good -
- Chester (7/5): Good - Staff and location couldnt be better. Bed was comfy and firm. Breakfast decent enough. Rooms are a little tired and maintanence isnt great but its an okay trade for the positives
- Mauro (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Selim (8/5): Modest and Central - Very central, at La Rambla street. Price is relatively cheap for Barcelona standarts. Staff was very helpful. Modest place, don’t have high expectations but it works.
- Marilou (8/5): Very good -
- Ana (9/5): Superb - The location
- Aikpokpo (5/5): Passable - Location was in the middle of city, proximity to many shops and restaurants. Hotel was old and not too clean. Too much noise in the surroundings.
- Mohammad (3/5): Poor -
- Jacqueline (6/5): Acceptable because of the location and still felt safe - facilities need major updating. - Location Smell as you enter the hotel. Rooms and public areas including lift made you feel like you were living in the 1970s. Breakfast was no good. TV screen was the size of a tablet and didn't work.
- Ricardo (6/5): Rated from 1-10 it was 6 - All I can say is perfect location and good staff. but according to them its under renovation and had new ownership.
- Cristina (6/5): Pleasant -
- Claudia (6/5): Pleasant -
- Moen (8/5): Value for money - Simple and good breakfast, I got what I expected and needed The shower tap should be replaced, half of the water came out through the tub filler when showering. wastes a lot of water... Everything is OK, but a little run down and worn...
- Thanapa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ljubisa (7/5): Good -
- Mshellby (1/5): Bad - There's no easy access from the street because the reception is on the first floor and you have to ring the bell for them to open the door. If you don't figure this out upon your arrival you will end up walking around the whole building in a futile attempt to find your way in.
At the reception they will treat you like a necessary evil and force you to sign their made up data collection online forms. I asked to borrow a cork screw and the guy said they don't have it and he refused to check the kitchen or let me ask the staff because he was "sure" they had none.
You can get to your room via stairs or a rickety lift. There is no wifi in your room, seriously, only in communal area. They even tell you that at check in. The room was the epitome of the word basic and the interior dates to the Soviet era.
The bathroom door opened only half way and had no hairdryer. For toiletries you only get toilet paper and a tiny bar of soap. The bath has one of those flimsy shower curtains.
The breakfast is a horror. You have a "choice" of literally a few slices of supermarket cheese and stale ham to put on a damp white toast.
Don't even hope for any eggs or vegetables. I'm not a picky eater and this is the first place I've ever been in with such slim Pickens where I'd had refused to eat anything.
The location is the only positive - La Rambla, the very center of the Gothic quarter. Unfortunately, the weather in Barcelona was unusually bad that week and we had to stay in our room longer than absolutely necessary when on a city break.
The environment at the hotel in my opinion counts less of a hospitality, rather it has a sweatshop vibe or a North Korean jail. Stay clear, you have been warned.
- Asmae (8/5): Very good -
- Ruben (5/5): Passable -
- Michihiko (7/5): Very nice - Location and staff was very nice.
If you understand the minus point, I believe it will be nice stay. Old, small room, no hair dryer.
Noisy outside until midnight because it’s near the city center.
- Johanna (6/5): In need of a good night’s sleep - Good location and Staff helpful Hotel needs refurbishment badly.
Bed was a double camping bed and very uncomfortable.
Furniture needs updating and TV was a tiny 25 inch screen which I never worked out how to get out of the radio station menu.
A small fridge would have been nice also.
Bed side lights did not work.
Linen clean
- Analiza (4/5): Not satisfied sorry - The place is good and the staffs are very friendly. The hotel itself is old. They don’t have hair blower. Old facilities and the breakfast is really bad. They don’t have fresh foods and croissants. All food was made in supermarkets.
- Orlando (10/5): Exceptional -
- Guido (1/5): Bad - Worst place ever I had no hot water, bed was ….. like sleeping on the street
- Rajesh (2/5): Very poor -
- Neill (10/5): Just what was required - Location. Television did not work
- René (6/5): Pleasant - We like the space, the service and the location. We don't like that there's no WiFi in the room, this is super bad for the price we paid but what we hated was the breakfast. Understand it's not a huge one, but it was really nothing: few bread, ham and cheese yogurt and coffee machine; if you pay for a hotel with breakfast you expect a bit more than this.
- Ernest (3/5): Poor -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Location is perfect!
- Sevim (4/5): Disappointing - Location was great. I stayed at this hotel in Barcelona, and while the location was great and close to everything, the overall experience was disappointing.
The staff was not helpful, and the cleaning personnel were quite rude. The bathroom had an outdated system, causing leakage issues. When we requested clean towels, the cleaning staff responded very rudely and reluctantly provided new ones.
It was so disappointing that there was only WiFi connection in the common area but not in the private rooms.
Despite the hotel being monitored by security cameras, one day we found our room door open when we returned. When we reported this, the situation was downplayed rather than properly addressed.
We booked a package that included breakfast, but what we got was just supermarket pastries and coffee. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel due to poor service and lack of security.
- Nadia (5/5): Passable - Facilities too bad, no wifi Location
- Robert (4/5): Great location. Alright, if you're on a tight budget - If you are after a budget hotel, in a great location, them it ticks those boxes. The bathroom was decent, and I had a balcony onto La Rambla. Very outdated room, extremely echoey hallways, so I was woken up regularly with loud people coming back in the middle of the night.
Honestly, it was the worst breakfast I've ever seen at any hotel I've stayed at.
- Meharoof (2/5): Very poor - No worth for the money, nil facilities
- Ines (10/5): Exceptional -
- Syed (8/5): Very good -
- Suzanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mohamed (5/5): Passable -
- Kateřina (9/5): highly recommend for comfortable stay! - I must say that the location compared to how far it is to go sightseeing is perfect. Many places are close by and you can comfortably take a walk, don’t have to take metro many times. The staff was really really nice. Breakfast was not 5* but it was fresh and it was enough and compared to the price you pay it is awesome to even have a breakfast. I highly recommend if you plan on visiting Barcelona and you don’t want to take metro all the time and also you don’t require fancy hotel. Also the metro station is like 2 minutes of walk so it is perfect. The only thing that you have to have in mind is that La Rambla is not a calm street. You can hear noise in the evening/night but it was not something that would keep us from falling asleep, so it is not that dramatic if you don’t have trouble with falling asleep.
- Deeptha (8/5): Very good -
- Ramirez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sheng (3/5): hope a better in future - need rebuild smelling and outlook and food service
- Olga (7/5): Good - We liked its location, and the staff was very friendly.
Room was clean, and good size. The room was a little cold, it didn't have WiFi in it.
The safe for money didn't open.
The light in the toilet was bad.
- Ivan (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (7/5): Brilliant location, ideal spot for a short stay - Great location, friendly staff Facilities quite basic but what we expected
- Dora (8/5): Nice staff, excellent location, only preventable inconveniences - - Amazing, nice, and helpful staff. I would like to highlight that when I flagged, I'm gluten intolerant, they tried to add suitable food options. Also, they were very responsive and swiftly replying for my requests.
- Good room, big cupboard
- Fantastic location
- Nice view for La Rambla, not noisy The reviews detailed these, and some information was in the description, but I missed it, so highlighting some important info for fellow travelers:
- WiFi is not available in the rooms, only at the reception - I used a very close coworking office, it was a good experience.
- They only give you thin sheets. There is a thick blanket, but I couldn't be sure it was clean (probably yes, but I'm picky), and I couldn't pull it up with anything, as there were only sheets. In colder winter days, it was not convenient for me.
- "Light breakfast" means bread and other different very basic bakery products. Some jams, nutella. One type of low quality cold cut. Some cheeses, yogurts. No vegetables, fruits. Plant-based milk is available. I only used hot water, but as I saw, there were some basic juices and coffee options. Although they were very helpful, for people with gluten and diary product intolerance/allergy, I wouldn't recommend paying for it. There are very close supermarkets as an alternative.
- No minifridge or electric kettle in the room - FYI only, I think this is normal, just I wanted to highlight.
When I booked the accommodation, it seems the prices were a bit higher. Overall, for me, the value for price was not good, but they are very transparent about these services, and the reviews seemed also valid, just I missed reading them properly.
- Nigel (6/5): Great location - basic facilities - Breakfast was basic. Bed were very basic . Bath had no plug just a shower curtain that constantly bellowed.
- Deborah (3/5): Poor -
- Fabio (9/5): Superb - Hotel in wonderful location. The room was very clean and mattress very comfortable. Small room but good. I cannot valuate the price because in this days Barcelona is fully booked . From my previous experience in Barcelona the right price should be 55/65 for the single room / double room . Breakfast was very simple but because free it's fine Water go out from shower
- Kateryna (2/5): Very poor - There was no blanket sheet, no hair dryer, awful smell in the room and awful breakfast with only bread, cheep cheese and the cheapest yogurt and a huge key plate.
- Aleksandra (3/5): Poor - Breakfast was not worth the money.
- Maksymilian (2/5): I do not recommend to stay in that hotel - Only staff on hotel were very nice It was the nauseate room I ever been ,a lot of mess, dust everywhere. Breakfast was super poor just bread and few slices of cheese + yoghurt and cereals. Zero veggies.
- Alan (6/5): Pleasant -
