Guest Reviews
- Silvia (10/5): - The view
- Vivian (10/5): Minimum accommodation, but location is perfect - Perfect location, lovely stuff, shower works well Toooo narrow. No space for luggage
- David Wood (10/5): Z HOTELS GO WITH A ZING - The position of the hotel centre to explore Londons attractions the general quality and service of the Z hotel soho l could not fault
- Chevallier (10/5): -
- Kim (8/5): -
- Adele (10/5): - Small cozy central spot
- Lilieth Dixon (7/5): - Staff and locational Very small room
- Maria (2/5): Not recommended for wheelchair users - Great location in Soho next to Old Compton St and the receptionists were great and the manager Jacob . They say luxury compact hotels are their style . They also ad writers as being suitable for disabled guests - including wheelchair users .
Even the front door isn't accessible as the accessible door is behind one that isn't !
I'd booked the accessible room which was far too small , lacking in dockets , a telephone or some way of getting help as only a chord on the bathroom which had a shower but only grab rails - not a shower seat . There isn't even a shelf to put your toiletries on !
In summary it's not suitable for wheelchair users . The doors are pull , the floor isn't flat so you bump over the floor repeatedly which if you're in pain - it adds to it .
I'd definitely recommend going elsewhere if you're a wheelchair user . The room is tiny even tho it's allegedly the biggest in the hotel.
- Deborah (9/5): - Excellent location Room was a bit small even for a solo traveller. Opening suitcase was a bit of a struggle.
- nathan (9/5): - La localisation
- Anne (9/5): Would stay again - Location was fantastic. Staff (Lucky) was wonderful. Breakfast - it was delicious but it is a shame you don’t offer a bigger range of options
- Samuel (7/5): When Location is Everything, it's the Z for Me - It's Soho, so it's all about the location. This hotel is right in the middle of all the action - Leicester Square, Chinatown, Covent Garden, Denmark Street - all within steps of the place. Staff are very inviting and considerate of our needs, including holding on to our bags after checkout so we could get in some last minute sightseeing. Well, location is everything - but here you get a bed, shower, mini-sink, toilet, and 8 sq.ft. of walking space. If you are single, you can maybe manage. As a couple, we would literally crawl over each other moving from bed to bath.

- Paul (8/5): -
- Simon (8/5): -
- Evamaria (6/5): Bra för en person 1-2 nätter. - Läget och sängen Det är slitet. Få lampor och få eluttag.
- R7186ZZmarkr (4/5): Pokey - Great central location is the only redeeming feature.
The rooms are worse than student accommodation, you can almost lie in bed and touch the toilet and there are no windows, claustrophobic cell would be a better description.
No wardrobe just hooks on the wall and certainly not enough room to turn over in bed.
TV channels are minimal not en bbc or ITV.
Great location and provided you don’t spend any time awake in the room you’ll be fine, not cheap and never again for me
- Jackie, Swansea (8/5): Convenient and clean! - Central to where we were visiting. Very friendly staff. Very clean. Excellent breakfast choices. The room was a little cramped, with the bed being up against a wall.
- Phoebe (2/5): -
- Jourdan (8/5): -
- Laszlo (8/5): Nice location - Great location, very helpful staff. Bed and bathroom was nice.
Breakfast was also the same, You would expect in London. Nice warm dishes as well.
Can only be recommended.
- franksW670NF (10/5): Best Hotel in Soho - Very nice Hotel very Clean, Rooms and Awesome Service
- Journeyer78 (10/5): Excellent Location! - I stayed at The Z Hotel Soho for 8 nights and had a great experience. The location is perfect, and my room was clean, modern, yet cozy. The 24/7 café was incredibly convenient, especially on a late night when I hadn’t eaten.
I had one minor issue during my stay, but it was resolved immediately by Swetha, who provided excellent customer service. Her help really stood out.
Overall, a comfortable stay in an unbeatable location. I would recommend it and stay there again in the future.
- Emma (7/5): great stay again, looking forward to being back - ideal location - perfect for short stays - very friendly and helpful staff I didn't really like being in a room that had no window.
- klaus (8/5): Perfect!
- Nick (10/5): Great friendly staff - Good building Location
- Zuzanna (6/5): For the price i guess it is great, if you like the sound of the city. - The location of the property is good. Close to shops, Oxford Street and a few Underground stations. Easy to communicate. It is crazy loud. Which you should expect from the location but still very loud even with windows closed. The room was tiny and the air circulation has left a lot to wish for.
- Sharon (2/5): Location was excellent - but would not return due to rooms being insufficient - The location The bed was far to small (not long enough to stretch legs out)
The aircon was not working and we asked the front desk to help, but upon arrival to the room the aircon was still not functioning
- Christopher (7/5): Enjoyable stay, great location, a little over priced. - Location, friendly staff, air conditioned and modern. Rooms are a bit tight for two, room maintenance was a bit substandard, should be a waning to people who suffer claustrophobia that the rooms with no windows can be quite triggering, and are not recommended.
- Nicola (6/5): -
- richard (8/5): Rooms are compact but efficient and good price for the excellent location. - Excellent location and fair price.
- Kevin (10/5): Soho delight - Location, comfortable bed No real complaints, room was a bit noisy with passing footfall to other rooms but nothing major
Was hot as AC not working g during my stay but I had a little window so that helped
- Andrew (8/5): - The location and the facilities I couldn't close the window properly and there was some works going on really early in the morning
- Ozcan (10/5): - Great location, room was clean and comfortable
- Dario (3/5): - La ubicación perfecta. La habitación era minuscula.
- Steve (8/5): Very friendly & helpful staff. Very clean room - Location Nothing
- DanielMaguire90 (8/5): Nice - Location was excellent, great value for a last minute booking, early check-in The price for early check-in even though the room was ready,
- Markus (10/5): -
- Alexander (5/5): -
- McsLcs (6/5): Perfect location, cheapest for a reason - We stayed here bank holiday weekend as we went to see Harry Potter. The location is absolutely perfect, about 50 feet away from the theatre!
We weren't allowed early check in even after being told we could over the phone.
Queen size room had no air con (was pretty warm in Central London at the weekend) so we asked for a different room, all they could do is downsize us to a double but would throw in a free breakfast which wasn't the end of the world (or so we thought!)
Rooms are tiny although we expected that, very clean but make sure you go with someone you really don't mind being up close and personal with, as the toilet is about 6 feet from the bed..
Full sky TV was good and the bed was very comfy, not a marshmallow as some hotel beds are.
For its location the room is pretty quiet, has some outside noise coming in but all in all we both had a decent night's sleep.
Breakfast was terrible, we'd have asked for a refund if we'd have paid the £16 they're asking. It's a help yourself continental when theres several of the choices missing, no hot items other than toast and the pretty sorry looking flatbreads you have to ask to be reheated for you. Ended up just having 2 slices of toast and a cup of tea.
Overall we'd stay again if needed for the location but definitely go elsewhere for breakfast.
- Mintern (10/5): -
- Patricia (8/5): Location was great - Location Very small room
- Humbug (8/5): -
- Wael (6/5): Good location - too too small room that is not mentioned upon room booking - Location Very very small room I have ever seen - they should mention the size of the room at booking.com
- Deniz (7/5): - Location is perfect Rooms are tiny
- alkhudair (8/5): It was very good, affordable, very nice staff and good location. - The location, the very kind staff that suggested the floor where the least noise and helped get the best upgraded room. And the natural light The narrow entrance and not much room to walk and to spread your luggage, it's better for people who have backpacks or small suitcases but overall, the stay was good.
- Reid (1/5): - Location Room to hot air-conditioning broken and very tiny
- Richard (8/5): -
- Robert (10/5): -
- James (9/5): Great value in a prime location - My room was tiny but also inexpensive. They have bigger rooms. The location was tremendous. The windows were well sound-proofed. Towel rack in the bathroom.
- Joelle (8/5): -
- Steve (8/5): -
- Mark (5/5): Wouldn't stay here again. - Good location Tiny bedrooms. Couldn't physically be smaller. Very difficult for two people to reside in. Very noisy room. Double glazing completely ineffective so general London noise kept us awake for a good deal of the night. Also room only made up every two nights which is outrageous for the price paid.
- Anna Marie (9/5): - Ideal location, a very comfortable bed and very clean hotel. The room was very small but didn't really bother us that much as it was quiet and a very comfortable bed
- Nicola (6/5): Great location but small and uncomfortable room. - Love the location, perfect for visiting the theatre The shower/toilet was literally in the room, the glass door didn't shit very well and when having a shower the whole toilet was wet due to no shower door, and the room smelled like drainage after having a shower.
The bed was squashed into the corner which made it difficult for one of us to get out of bed, also when sleeping the bed was touching the window sill and kept bashing into when moving.
The breakfast wasn't a great selection and expensive price seeing as there was no cooked breakfast.
- Benedikt (9/5): -
- Lizna (7/5): Incredible place to experience the heart of Soho. - Location is amazing Rooms were very small and could do with some other things to make the flow better and the space - hooks to hang up bags, shelves / cubbies for storage / drawer under the bed? (there's no wardrobe).
- Will (7/5): -
- Baptiste (10/5): -
- mark (6/5): Ok nice position and staff - Position/location
- Moritz (9/5): Sehr gut und günstig - Sehr preiswert und sehr zentral gelegen
- Elizabeth (6/5): Functional hotel in central location - The location is fantastic, right in the centre.
Staff were friendly, welcoming & helpful The rooms are minute! No idea how you’d have two people plus luggage in there! Bathroom is basically a glass box in the room - functional but tiny.
It’s very noisy. Double glazing does help but you hear everything. I’d suggest requesting not to stay on the first floor as the bar/club below doesn’t close until after 11pm
- Juliane (10/5): -
- Gale (7/5): -
- Christine (9/5): Great location, lovely staff, comfy room. - Location is superb. Beds are super comfy. Staff are lovely. Option to pay for an early check in is useful. These rooms are compact which is fine but it means that they have a wet room and I’m not a fan of soaking wet bathroom floors. It was very noisy all night…but it is Soho so you have to expect that.
- Sebastian (10/5): -
- Margaret (10/5): -
- William (7/5): - I enjoyed the experience, breakfast was very nice. Was a bit noisy but it is central London, maybe complimentary ear plugs.
- 193fernandoo (10/5): 5 days in sohos heart - Attention was amazing so kind all the team from the recepción till the latest person attending was great! I needed to leave my baggage after the check out and they hep me a lot with it ! I had a single room and even though is small , everything was amazing ! Right in the center and pretty convenient service ! I’ll definetly recommend that !
- Ben (8/5): A convenient place to crash after a days drinking. - Great location. The shower leaked into the main space and I had to use towels to mop the water up.
- Rebecca (7/5): Great for what I needed, clean and friendly staff - Position and friendliness Very warm in the room and couldnt cool it down
- meaden (7/5): -
- Michelle (3/5): The room was the size of a shoe box. Wide enough for a bed and 1 end table - The bed was comfortable The room was approximately 7'X10. Not enough room to move around.
- Subjee (8/5): - The location is great, especially if you plan on seeing a show. Very lively and bustling with people until late hours. Sound proof rooms are amazing, no noise when we wanted to have an early night. The room was very small, so we had to be creative with moving around between my husband and I. However I guess for the location, it was worth it.
- Tereza (10/5): -
- David (9/5): Excellent location. Friendly staff - The location was excellent. Perfectly located Housekeeping came late in the afternoon when we were taking a nap, promised to return but never did. We keep our room pretty neat so this wasn’t much of a problem. We missed the refill of the coffee station mostly but learned we could get refills at the front desk easily.
They refused to make a change to our reservation an hour after we made it We had to book an extra night as a result.
- Patricia (9/5): Overnight stay after theatre - Central. Close to theatre. Clean rooms.
- Katherine (7/5): -
- David (10/5): Excellent VFM in central Soho - For location and VFM this was perfect !
- Russell (7/5): Very small rooms for the price, but an excellent location. - Central location. Very helpful staff. Very small room, but right in the middle of theatre land
- Jonathan (7/5): -
- Fiona (10/5): Small but everything we needed. Location and hospitality outstanding. Room was clean and quiet and super comfy bed . - Perfect location. Great price. Small room perfect for what we needed.
Very friends helpful staff
- Walter Andreas (9/5): Für meine Bedürfnis perfekter Ort. - Ich liebe dieses kleine Hotel seit Jahren. Winzige Zimmer, aber alles Nötige vorhanden. Tolle Lage! Wichtige Sehenswürdigkeiten, Nightlife, Unterhaltung vor der Türe. Hoffentlich nur momentan: Unter der Woche Bau-Lärm.
- Oliver (8/5): -
- Jasmine (8/5): -
- Gavin (8/5): -
- Bjarne (10/5): - Central beliggenhed.
