Guest Reviews
- Anne (1/5): - Nothing Private party till 2am.
- Jane (8/5): It had what we needed for our 1 night stay , a comfortable bed and a shower - It’s closeness to the station was ideal
- Tommy (10/5): -
- Stephen Kyle (10/5): A great room on a cool night out. - Checking-in is a smooth process, and the manager was very accommodating-accompanying us to our room, and was very clear about procedure. Not applicable.
- Hannah (4/5): Great location - a lot for almost £150 a night - Great location. Very convenient Room did not match the pic. The bathroom was outside the room so I had to cross the corridor of other rooms. The man who showed me to my room said this was clearly stated on booking.com and when we looked at it together it wasn’t lol so he lied to me. Room was dated and not very clean but I did sleep well in the end

- Ray (4/5): Budget accommodation in poor condition in need of maintenance. - Very conveniently located near to Kings Cross train station. The property is tired and in need of modernisation and refurbishment and has clearly suffered from rotten wood within the windows and loft hatch, and generally could benefit from maintenance and updating. The shower tray had some mould etc and needed a refresh.

- Sofy (9/5): - Fantastic location and stuff. 100% recommend.
- Appleton (10/5): -
- Nils (8/5): Staff were very friendly and helpful - Location Bathroom a little small and shower curtain was too short so therefore water getting in the floor

- Kenneth (7/5): Great location and comfortable stay - Location and friendly welcome. Dated.

- Anna (10/5): Perfect location for Lafayette and Camden - We were welcomed by Guy who was extremely helpful and let us leave our bags early. He gave us directions to walk to Camden. The room was clean and comfortable. Location great for our trip to the theatre. Later on Gonzales went out of his way to actually walk us to the theatre. Excellent customer service. All good perfect for our one night stay
- Alex (9/5): A pleasant stay at Central Station Kings Cross. - I was on the hunt for the perfect place to stay for the weekend, excited to attend the ever-popular and iconic LGB Alliance Conference, plus I had a theatre booking and a zoo visit on the agenda. After several enjoyable stays at Central Station, I knew I couldn’t go wrong with a return visit.
I arrived in London early, and the hotel staff were incredibly accommodating—they kindly stored my suitcase while I ventured out for a bite to eat. Upon my return, the well-stocked bar was buzzing, and checking in was a breeze. The staff greeted me with warm smiles, and my double room was everything I hoped for: spacious, clean, and just as inviting as I remembered.
Over the course of my four-night stay, I found plenty to fill my days in London. The bed was a dream—large and oh-so-comfy—ensuring I caught plenty of restful sleep each night. The bar really impressed me; not only was it well-stocked, but the staff also went the extra mile to serve up delicious food that made my evenings complete. While some patrons at the pub seemed a bit standoffish as usual, I did manage to strike up a conversation with a couple of friendly souls. Overall, my stay was a delightful experience, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
- Samantha (5/5): Was fine for one night but wouldn't return . - Good location for St Pancras station, comfortable bed, and did the job for one night stay. No wifi access in the room, the shower filled with water very quickly and didn't drain well. No soap provided for shower.

- Waldek (8/5): No fuss decent budget stay in super central location - Another stay at Central Station and it's pretty much the same as before. It's not a fancy and super convenient hotel - it's a simple room to stay for the night (or two) near King's Cross. If you're looking for a decent and safe place which won't ruin you - this is the spot. Staff is nice and friendly, the building definitely has a vibe and it's a quiet street despite the super central location. Beds could do with new mattresses and it's always nicer if the bed linen is white in hospitality. That said, I still had a very decent sleep.

- Norberto (10/5): - Good place and very friendly. Family business.
- Steven (10/5): - Staff were very friendly and welcoming ! great location for St Pancras Station Hotel tired and creaky but very clean Shared bathroom isn't a thing for me anymore but was lucky as had whole 3rd floor to myself ! bathroom was dated worn but again importantly it was clean !
- Adam (7/5): -
- YINUO (8/5): Great 👍 enjoyed the nights - Perfect location, only minutes walk from Kings Cross station. Cozy room. Good value. Friendly staff. There's no lift so it'd better not to take too much luggage

- White (9/5): My once a month treat as from my experience...but have stayed before in the single bedroom.... - Everything
Local fun the staff
Facilities pricing entertainment and pol table location 3 min walk to King's Cross station Room 24 shower temp needs a little tweak. Lovely shower time but temp a little playful...not a big deal but a little tuning x
- Perera (1/5): - Didn't stay because of uncleanness
- William (3/5): It was in budget but by no means atall enjoyable. I would not stay again - The staff were lovely.
And the place was gritty and engaging. It was nice to stay somewhere clearly in touch with the local community.
The beds were clean and well made and no bed bugs. Everything felt very tired.
No secondry glazing.
Extractor fan noise everywhere.
I had to put a towel on the floor to walk to the bathroom.
Damp in the cupboards
I felt un comfortable eating in the pub.

- Gary (8/5): -
- Dipsa (10/5): Lovely - The people - Gonsalo is absolutely amazing. He is so welcoming, so genuine, such a gem of person. You could say he really cares about people. Na
- Chrislyn (5/5): I would not stay here again - The staff The place is damp and dirty. Window of our room was cracked and the heater did not work.
- Adam (6/5): -
- Richard (1/5): Do your homework unlike me!! - What a dump, pub has the weirdest folk ever known to man which starts to make sense when you look into what goes on there. I’ve never left a bad review in my life. Swingers parties for starters, attitude of weird customers who made it clear you weren’t welcome if you weren’t in “the club”
- Reader (10/5): If you need a cheap hotel which is comfortable and close to the train station then you won't go far - I needed a cheap and comfortable room for 1 night. It was both of these and only a 10 minute walk from St. Pancras. All in all it was what I needed with no complaints. No complaints
- Dean (6/5): -
- Vladimír (2/5): We expected better for this price. - Location was good - near kings cross station. Bed was clean. In reality it does not look like in pictures,
Furniture was old and used and carpet was dirty and there was a black mold on the window and also in the shower.
We stayed from Saturday to Monday, it was caroke night - a lot of noise until 1am
- Mark (8/5): Perfect for solo traveller and had a bar downstairs with a pool table, and I was close to KX tube. - Great Location, The room was quiet big , own shower and toilet , and it was quiet in the evening. £75 for the night was pretty good and I was only there for 1 night.
- Valerie (6/5): A characterful place to stay which is very good value in a very central part of London, minutes from Kings Cross. The st - I slept wonderfully well, it was a very comfortable bed. The staff who helped me were very kind and very friendly. I so appreciate that It is a characterful property and I was very comfortable. I didn’t like to have to unlock my bathroom every time I had to use it. I was unimpressed by the lighting, I would have loved a light by the bed so I could read.
- Alex (6/5): Great location, affordable, easy to book, and has what you need for a budget hotel. - Just a stone's throw from King's Cross Station, this hotel offers unbeatable convenience for travellers. However, as a budget hotel, it comes with its quirks. Upon arrival, I found there was no reception; instead, you ring a bell and wait for someone to greet you. Admittedly, I had to wait a bit longer than expected for assistance.
The hotel itself seems to be crying out for a makeover—especially with a recent roof leak that hasn't helped the ambience. My single room was snug and had a cosy feel, but it could definitely benefit from a thorough cleaning. On the plus side, I did appreciate the tea and coffee-making facilities, a TV, and even an ironing board with an iron, which is a nice touch.
The pub on-site is well-stocked, and some of the bar staff were friendly, but I found the atmosphere a bit stifling. The patrons had a knack for keeping to themselves, making it tough for someone like me to strike up a conversation and connect with others. With karaoke on both nights, I realised that this type of entertainment didn't quite resonate with me; I long for the vibrant performances that filled the space before the pandemic. When it came to dining, I ordered a meal on my first night. Even with a 20% discount, the £30 I spent on appetisers and a main course felt steep, especially considering the food quality. Both the starters and the burger were overly greasy and lacked flavour—looking back, I really should have sent them back to the kitchen.
It's interesting how Central Station attracts a unique crowd—one that can feel oddly exclusive. If you're not part of their inner circle, it can be a lonely experience. I really wish management would take steps to address this atmosphere, as it could transform the venue into a warmer and more inviting place for everyone.

- Paul (10/5): Perfect for a quick trip to town - Perfect location, property literally dripping with history. Excellent staff too.
- Justin (8/5): - I've stayed here a few times now. It's a pleasant enough place with friendly staff and located a stone's throw away from Kings Cross Station.
- Derek (5/5): -
- Ray (7/5): Comfy bed with quality duvet set. - No sockets by the bed, the tv was difficult to view as it was not on a wall bracket
Wardrobe door knob missing and no en suite .
- Paul (5/5): -
- JILL (7/5): Great location, helpful and friendly staff - Great location for Eurostar N/a
- della (10/5): -
- Clive Boden (8/5): - Location 14" tv !!!. Didnt think they made them that small.
Regarding check-in. It states 2pm. Pub doesn't open till 5pm, never easy to get somebody to answer the door.

- Genevieve Klausa (7/5): Great - Friendly staff who carried my suitcase and showed us the room. Clean, spacious room and bathroom. Nice decor. Close to station and a tesco express. Carpet near the door needs sticking down/replacing.
- Tam (7/5): Very useful, quiet stay conveniently located. - It’s quiet for the location. Very useful for the stations. Whilst it’s a bit rough and ready, I found the homeliness helped with getting sleep. It’s a bit rundown and there’s a big flight of stairs, which wouldn’t work if you’re not fit or invalided. There was no offer of help up them with heavy luggage.
- Marie (9/5): -
- Jonathan (7/5): It was a convenient location for King's Cross -
- Ian (9/5): -
- Adam (3/5): - The owner (Nigel?) Was a lovely chap. Chatted with us showed us around well and made us feel welcome. The photos in the advert are misleading and probably old. The room we got didnt have
- Dianne (5/5): - I’ve never experienced anything quite like this. To be honest, it was more a level two but the people were amazing and I had a marvellous time there. Because the building is old, there’s no elevator, but the staff was happy to bring my suitcases up and down.
