The staff were friendly and efficient, especially Konstantin, who went above and beyond to assist us. • Peter (9/5): Sehr nettes, privat geführtes Hotel, an zentraler Lage - jederzeit wieder! - DE: Top Lage: 2 Minuten zu Fuss zur Underground (mir exzellenten, teils direkten, Verbindungen zu vielen Touristen-Hotspots) sowie London Bridge Train Station (direkter Zug Gatwick Airport ca. alle 1/4 Std mit Fahrzeit ca. 30 min). 2 Min zu Fuss zum Borough (Food) Market, 5 Min zur Themse (Southwark/Queen's Promenade und somit auch zur Tower Bridge, Tower etc.). Gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten für den alltäglichen Gebrauch direkt in der London Bridge Station sowie Umgebung und zahlreiche Restaurants, wobei eher für die rasche Verpflegung). Zimmer: gute Zimmergrösse (Executive), üblicher Komfort, guter Zimmerzustand inkl. Bad. Gute Sicherheit, indem Zugang zum Lift sowie Zimmerkorridoren nur mittels Zimmer-keycard möglich. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet zu fairem Preis. Personal rundum sehr aufmerksam (bspw. Karte mit Drink-Voucher zum Geburtstag) und freundlich (privat geführtes Hotel). Schöne Hotelbar im altenglischen Stil. EN: Prime location: A 2-minute walk to the Underground (with excellent, partly direct, connections to many tourist hotspots) and London Bridge Train Station (direct trains to Gatwick Airport appr. every 15 minutes, with a travel time of about 30 minutes). 2-minute walk to Borough (Food) Market, 5 minutes to the Thames (Southwark/Queen’s Promenade and thus also to Tower Bridge, the Tower, etc.). Good shopping options for daily needs right at London Bridge Station and in the surrounding area, as well as numerous restaurants (though mostly for quick meals). Room: Good room size (Executive), standard amenities, room in good condition, including the bathroom. Good security, as access to the elevator and room corridors is only possible with a room keycard. Good breakfast buffet at a fair price. Staff are very attentive throughout (e.g., a card with a drink voucher for my birthday) and friendly (privately owned hotel). Nice hotel bar in an old English style. DE: Aussicht etwas eingeschränkt, da umgeben von Hochhäusern (mich hat es nicht gestört). Nur als Optimierung gedacht: Shampoo und Duschgel sind "wie früher" in kleinen Plastikfläschchen verfügbar. Heute sind aus Nachhaltigkeitsgründen grosse, an der Duschkabinenwand montierte, Spender üblich(er). Hinzu kommt, dass dadurch das housekeeping weniger vergisst, nachzufüllen (wie in meinem Fall: 1x Duschgel, 1x Kosmetiktücher). Generell könnte das housekeeping etwas einheitlicher arbeiten (es war nichts "Schlimmes" und es war auch alles sauber - also "jammern auf hohem Niveau", aber wie erwähnt beim Nachfüllen scheint es keine "Standards" zu geben, wann, was und wie gearbeitet werden soll oder es fehlt der Schluss-Kontrollgang). EN: The view is somewhat limited because it's surrounded by high-rises (it didn't bother me at all). Just a suggestion for improvement: Shampoo and shower gel are available in small plastic bottles, “like in the old days.” Today, for sustainability reasons, large dispensers mounted on the shower wall are more common. Plus, this helps housekeeping staff remember to restock more reliably (as in my case: 1 shower gel, 1 pack of facial tissues). In general, housekeeping could be a bit more consistent (it wasn’t anything “serious” and everything was clean - so this is “complaining on a high level” - but as mentioned regarding refills, there don’t seem to be any “standards” for when, what, and how the work should be done, or perhaps there’s a lack of a final inspection round).

• Laraine (9/5): Excellent hotel and location. - Location is excellent for both train station and local restaurants and attractions. Breakfast is very good with a wide selection to choose from buffet style. Quality of food was good. Loved the bar to come back to after a full day out. Check was quick and very efficient. We did stay on the train side of hotel, which was a little noisy but did not keep us awake. Our third time here when staying in London and we will be back again. Nothing.

• leaann (10/5): Great location and friendly staff - Arrived approximately 2 hours before check in and asked to leave our bags, not only was our room ready we were upgraded as it was my husbands birthday. Complimentary treats left in our room, and a glass of fizz at the bar. Room was incredibly comfortable, location was spot on for our weekend. Staff went above and beyond, friendly, informative nothing was too much trouble. Everything was perfect only negative was I wish we stayed for breakfast

• Charlotte (6/5): Wouldn't stay again. - Reception areas very nice, clean and pleasant. Bedroom was small, bed extremely soft and uncomfortable as it was 2 mattresses combined to make one! Noise from nightclub tol 4am unbearable so terrible sleep. Breakfast and staff were good.

• Kimberly (10/5): Restful stay in London - Super comfortable and quiet room. It was close to the train station which was really convenient. Staff was great. Let me check in early and was helpful in getting a cab to my next destination. Nothing. Was super happy with everything.

My mother had a bad fall downtown and when we arrived back at the hotel after time in A&E they couldn’t have been more concerned and many offers of if we needed anything. I can’t say enough good things about our treatment there. The food was delicious as well.

• Münevver (10/5): I will definitely come back. - The gentleman who handled my check-in was particularly polite. I had a happy check-in at the hotel. The location is incredibly good; getting to Gatwick Airport couldn't be easier. I also loved the city view from my room.

• Pankhurst (5/5): We needed a room to sleep one night and shower in the morning. That was the total experience at this - Location was perfect. Due to our stay being a hospital visit, we requested to book a single room for an extra night due to my wife staying in hospital so it would be easier for me to visit the following day. Because they were fully booked they tried to charge us £280 for a single room rather than the £180 we were quoted the previous day!
