• Maureen (9/5): Short walk to Paddington Station ! - Hotel Sophia is so close to Paddington Station, which was very important for me. I found this accommodation just what I needed. Although this location is on a very busy street I had no problem to sleep with the activities outside. The staff on check-in and check out we’re very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again thank you for holding my luggage at reception so I did not have to carry my suitcase upstairs. Location and I felt safe in this neighborhood

I was and am extremely grateful to him. The room & bathroom were as always spotlessly clean. Nothing.

• Christopher (3/5): - Brilliant location. Comfortable bed. No plug in sink. Taps dripped constantly and swivelled round when turning on and off. No shower gel. No place in bathroom to put toilet bag contents. Stairs very steep and narrow (no lift).
• Saini (6/5): Ottimo hotel per posizione se si è di passaggio. - Personale cordiale e disponibile a rispondere a qualsiasi nostra richiesta (abbiamo chiesto di poter lasciare i bagagli per muoverci più facilmente durante la giornata e ce lo hanno permesso). Posizione eccellente per muoversi a Londra facilmente con la metro (letteralmente ad 1 min dalla stazione di Paddington). Camera pulita e ordinata. Rapporto qualità prezzo un po' sproporzionato per la qualita degli arredamenti e quanto offerto in camera (una sola mini saponetta a testa per lavarsi, mi sarei aspettata almeno una mini size di shampoo e docciaschiuma).

Onze koffers werden op de kamer gezet door een personeelslid. Prima bedden, elke dag schone handdoeken, waterkoker aanwezig. De eigen badkamer viel wat tegen. De wc bril zat los, er was geen houder voor het wc-papier of een plankje voor je toiletspullen.

• Lars (3/5): Fine, but noisy and unable to shower in the morning. - It's cheap in a very convenient location. 24 hour reception is handy if you're arriving late. The shower was basically useless. There was no pressure at all, so it was just a very slow gentle stream, so I wasn't able to shower in the morning. That was annoying. It is also in a very noisy area, so you should definitely bring ear plugs if you wish to sleep past 5am. They would do well to hand out free ear-plugs to guests on arrival.

• Elisa (2/5): Muy cutre - Lo único bueno es la localización Se escucha la megafonía y el ruido de la estación toda la noche. el colchon tenia pelos pegados porque la sábana bajera quedaba pequeña en la cama. El baño no tiene ni un estante donde poner el neceser y te dan solo una pastilla de jabon.

• Horst (3/5): - Wir würden freundlich empfangen und können das Zimmer wechseln, weil das Fenster im ersten Zimmer nicht richtig geschlossen hat und der Toilettensitz nicht repariert werden konnte. Die Bettwäsche und die Handtücher waren sehr sauber. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral. man ist in wenigen Minuten in der U-Bahn und kommt gut überall hin Das erste Zimmer, das wir bekommen haben, war extrem klein man hatte kaum die Möglichkeit zweite Koffer gleichzeitig auf dem Boden zu öffnen. Es hatte mehrere technische Defekte. Im zweiten Zimmer funktionierte der Abfluss der Toilette nicht richtig. Ich würde dieses Hotel nicht noch einmal für einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt als Paar wählen.
• Costelloe (6/5): An Ok cheap place to stay before taking the Heathrow Express or underground to the Airport. - Location is excellent, right across from Paddington Station and all the shops and restaurants. The staff were fine. Stairs. No elevator. I was on the top third floor. Small room. Old, sad look about the hotel. It needs a facelift and a coat of paint to liven it up.

Staff did try to fix it but it was interference from train station. I didn't spend much time in room so it didn't matter, it was just a place to sleep and the bed was comfortable

• Rasmus Martinius (2/5): Nåede kun til lobbyen før det blev for meget - Vi nåede kun til "lobbyen", hvis man overhovedet kan kalde den for det. Til vores held var der rod med nøgler, så min partner og jeg, kunne nå at aftale at vi fandt et andet hotel. Virkede meget uhygiejnisk og der lugtede kraftigt af mad. Senere da vi læser andres anmeldelser er vi glade for den beslutning.
• Bou (6/5): - L'hôtel est très bien situé vous avez plusieurs points de métro juste à côté ce qui est très pratique ainsi que des bus magasin fast food restaurant ect l'accueil est agréable les serviettes sont changés tous les jours, clé a disposition pour pouvoir sortir et rentrer comme vous voulez . Pour le bruit dans la rue, ça ne m'a pas dérangé perso c'est vrai que c'est bruyant mais perso je dormais bien la nuit La douche n'était pas pratique seul un petit jet sortait et l'eau chaude n'était pas toujours au rendez-vous. La literie est moyenne lit en feraille a ressort et juste dommage je suis restée 5 nuits j'aurai juste aimé un petit coup d'aspirateur dans la chambre.

• Monica (8/5): Good, decent, all you need for short stay - Location is excellwnt, right at Paddington, lots of underground, close to Kensigton Garden and Hyde Park,. Lots of restaurants in the area, stores for food. Room is basical but clean. Comfortable bed.. bathroom ok as size. You do not needx much as you do not come to London to stay in the room. I appreciated the heater. Highly appreciated the kettle and the complemintary tea, instant coffee and milk. Hotel is kind of outdated, not encouraging, but room was nice. There is an open rack for clothes. Enough but not very fancy if you are picky -I am not.

Noisy in the room that faced the busy street.Hard to find initially as the door is sort of tucked away and even the neighboring businesses didn't seem aware of it.

• DEEPAK (1/5): Book a hotel and slept at Airport as they dont open thw door me - No hot water or heating working just horrible I left for my dinner at 9 and leave the key there at reception then i back at 11:40 and none a single person at reception to open the door for me. I was lucky I didn’t had any belongings in that room apart my power bank. I call the property more then 10 time and no answer. So technically i just book that hotel and sleep at road tbh. So i pay for hotel and has to left me powerbank in room so i lose 100£ to sleep at road. Thanks to booking.com and hotel

• Daisy (8/5): Great Value, Friendly Recommended - Amazing location, exactly what I expected for value for money. The flexibility on dates, I needed a last minute room and they delivered. My room was ready early, so rather than go off and leave my bags in holding. I went straight to the room - couldn't have asked for more. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Nothing was a problem. I was offered a hairdryer when I checked in - little things like that really make a difference I do intend to stay again and will recommend The stairs, it is something to be weary of. They are not ideal for ill of health, pregnant, mobility barriers or slightly senior in years. Of course the hotel can't help this due to obvious building regs - but I'm glad a couple of reviews about this first. The noise from the station tannoy, do not expect a completely quite night because announcements will be made periodically - again not the hotels responsibility.

• Lucie (8/5): Très bon séjour - Le point le plus positif est la localisation de l'hôtel, avec la Gare Padington à côté il est possible de facilement se déplacer et de se rendre dans le centre-ville rapidement. L'accueil a été très bon. L'hôtel est bien chauffé, c'était agréable. Nous pouvons aller et venir comme bon nous semble, avec la mise à disposition des clefs. Personnellement, nous n'avons pas trouvé l'hôtel plus bruyant que ça. Le rapport qualité-prix est excellent pour une ville comme Londres (avoir une salle de bains privative est top). Si vous recherchez le confort ou le grand luxe, passez votre chemin. Toutefois, la propreté de base était là (il ne faut cependant pas trop regarder les murs). La literie n'est pas exceptionnelle mais ça passe pour quelques nuits. Pas de sèche-cheveux, dommage mais pas un drame.

Bathroom was generally clean (unlike the rest of the room) Room was very small, not like any of the photos and filthy. I’ve never felt the need to check a hotel for bedbugs before staying here but given the state of the sheets I had no choice. The hotel itself is right next to an open air tube station which plays amplified announcements straight into the bedrooms - the single glazing does nothing to stop the noise. Had to go out and buy a set of earplugs to have any chance of sleeping.

• Jens (8/5): Good hotel for that price at awesome location - Clean room, sheets and towels. The staff was friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. The hotel is right in front of Paddington station and the whole area is full of shops and restaurants. Small room and bathroom. Twin bed room is ok for a couple of nights for 2 people, probably even better if you are traveling alone. The street outside can be noisy all night.

• Sonja (6/5): Een goede verhouding tussen prijs en kwaliteit, midden in Londen. - De locatie is op loopafstand van groot metrostation. Personeel heel vriendelijk en hulpvaardig. Als we iets nodig hadden werd t direct geregeld. Er was iets stuk op de kamer, t werd direct gerepareerd. Alles is basic maar schoon. Er is wat achterstallig onderhoud. Voor wat we hebben begrepen wordt er aan gewerkt! Er is veel geluid van de straat maar je zit dan ook midden in de stad.
