Another time I cancelled the entire reservation and they agreed to refund fully, eventough it was a non refundable rate

• Roberto (10/5): As family, we absolutely enjoyed staying at Dekelia! - We stayed at the hotel to close our Greece road trip, so our goal was to have two peaceful nights with good food and tranquility - which we achieved very well, thanks to the hotel staff, and the quiet location. The staff was probably the best, friendliest and most skillful staff we have experienced in many years. Cheers to George, Rosa and all staff because you made this stay beautiful and memorable! Always helpful and very skilled (great drinks! :), the kitchen is very good as well, we tried Hamburger, Greek salad, Pasta - simple stuff - and it was magnificent, it made us happy, and the wine recommendation was spot on. Apart from staff and the culinary parameters, the rooms are normal and clean, serve their purpose - the pool area is very big for a hotel pool and it was a lot of fun to use it. Good pool bar as well! The gym is clean and serves its purpose. Note to George: The kids say hi :)

• UbaMar (9/5): Strategic business hotel! - Clean and comfortable. The personnel is very kind and always helpful. No problem to park the car. Nice breakfast! It's a pity that we do not have time to profit of the swimming pool. The location is somehow far from any interest point but, at 5 min drive there are several nice option for dinner and take a walk.

• Michael (7/5): A very nice stay, with nice staff and facilities. - Staff were friendly and polite. The hotel was very clean and our room was nice and spacious. The hotel wasn’t busy, we had a nice view of the pool. Pool area is nice and spacious and the non breakfast food we had was very nice. Nice hotel away from the busy city. We enjoyed our stay and would go back if we were to return to Athens. Some of the functions on the shower didn’t work and if you increased the pressure water would start leaking out of various places. The breakfast was average. If you plan to use the swimming pool at weekends, ensure you get up early and get a spot. As we found out they open up the pool to locals to use and had to wait a couple hours for a free sun lounger. Despite being a paying guest you get no priority and it’s a first come first serve situation. Ideally this should have been communicated upon checking in and the option to be able to reserve a sun lounger on any day till a certain time, if you’ve not claimed your reserved sun lounger by the allotted time then it gets offered to locals. You are also quite far out of Athens (20-30mins taxi) and from the local metro (10mins taxi). All of which require a taxi to reach realistically. This didn’t bother us but could be an issue for others.

• Stemkens (10/5): Nice room, comfortable bed, delicious food, a large and clean swimming pool and polite staff. - First of all we had a nice room with a look out of the swimming pool, with a beautiful view of a bridge and a mountain, with a nice, large and soft bed (what usually isn’t the case with hotel beds). The breakfast was very nice with good variety. The people at the servicedesk were nice and polite. The swimming pool was large with enough sunbeds and beach umbrellas. The food at the restaurant was also very delicious, which isn’t always the case at a hotel. The people working at the hotel are very nice and kind people. Some people specifically made our trip to Athenes memorable, these were George, Johnny and Michael. Micheal was happy and polite and gave nice recommendations for places to go into the city. Johnny was very helpful and kind at the swimming pool, he also gave a lot of tips and recommendations for the city. Lastly George, George has a happy, energetic and lively personality, made delicious cocktails and learned us a lot of Greek words to help us blend in with the people of Greece. If you rent a car I highly recommend staying at this hotel. We had a room for 2 people and it was large and had a nice comfortable bed and good facilities. The only complaint we had was about the amount of sockets and the location of the sockets in the room, there were only 2 sockets available in the whole room.
• Cornelia (7/5): We had an overal good stay, but some things can be better - Location is close to the highway, so you do hear a fair bit of noise at night, its on the side of Athens and targeted towards business folks, so in the weekend and off season it is super quiet. Breakfast was good, most days something different to choose from. When we arrived we were told the pool was closed, due to a sandstorm earlier, not their fault of course, but for us it was one of the main reasons to stay there. So that was not great :( the interiors of the hotel seems somewhat dated, that said, everything was very comfortable.

• Sandra (8/5): Very good - Very nice and supportive people! Good breakfast. It was winter outside and nearly snowing, so it was cold in the room despite the heating. I will come back but in summer👍😉
• Aurotim (8/5): Solid business hotel, may be too remote for travelers without (rental) car - Nice, clean hotel, close to a major industrial area, but not at all affected by noise/pollution etc. associated to such areas. The hotel appears to be geared towards business travelers, as a tourist you would probably dismiss it due to the remote location. As tourist it is definitely a huge advantage to have a (rental) car, you can be in Athens downtown in about 30 mins (without traffic) and the drive to Athens International Airport takes about the same time. Other places (e.g. Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, some 2 hours away) can easily be reached by car as the major highway (E75) is about 5-10 mins drive from the hotel. To get to and from the hotel by public transport might be challenging if you don't speak Greek and/or don't know the public transport schedules/system and we saw only very few taxis in the area. However, I am sure the hotel can arrange for taxis if required. The hotel is well maintained, the room size is good and some (or maybe all) rooms have a balcony and a window/door that can be opened for fresh air if needed. The interior of the room is a bit dated but fully functional and well maintained. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is very clean. The AC works well and as we arrived the room was quite cold. We asked the front desk if they could warm the room while we were out and when we returned the room was comfortably warm through the AC. We had limited interactions with the front desk, but all front desk staff we encountered were polite and professional. The pool looks very inviting, however, it was too cold to take a swim while we were there. If you come here for the first time you might initially find it a bit difficult to find the hotel as the hotel is located on a hilltop and is, if you come "downhill" (i.e., from E75), not visible from the road. In case you come downhill the GPS will ask you about halfway down to take a (almost impossible) very sharp left turn onto the hotel access road. All good!

• Amalie (7/5): Very nice staff and lovely pool. - The pool was clean . It’s very sad they close it at 7 ! If the pool could be open until at least 9 it would put the ratings up. Staff was really helpful and very nice . The beds are very comfortable and pillows were good. The breakfast wasn’t the best. But we had a great dinner at the hotel 2 nights . It’s very north of Athens . In taxi it’s at least 30 minutes. The style of the hotel was a bit old.

Not enough power outlet especially bedside for charging electronics while in bed. Could use more hooks in the bathroom to hang towels around sink area.

• Dina (8/5): Pleasant stay - Staff very pleasant and helpful!! Very clean hotel The location which you feel like you are in the forest. The option of swimming pool. Even though the location feels like you are in the forest, the hotel is near the motorway and is a bit noisy at night with the windows open. In the room there almost no sockets to charge your phone. There is one by the TV, which actually is for the table lamb. No next to the bed.
