• Southworth (9/5): Who needs hot water when it’s so warm in Agra and when you’re a stone’s throw from the East Gate of the Taj? The locatio - Unbeatable location!! Good wifi, good AC (tiny bit more expensive room for AC but worked very well). Lovely, friendly, helpful staff. The hot water to our room didn’t work even though we paid a small amount extra for a room with hot water.
• Tarak (7/5): - The Taj Mahal was really very close, which is good for going early in the morning, but the bathrooms were not hygienic, there was no hot water, and it was very bad that there was no hair dryer in the room after all, when you take a shower with cold water, you need to dry your hair. But the location was good, and the staff were also nice.

• Satya (2/5): Ok ok for common man. - Garden is unique there but found elsewhere. A few rooms looks good. Other are just anything. Very costly. Not even geyser. Hotel has poor quality products. Food is worst for that they charge high price. I have ordered butter chicken and roti. Chicken was plastic type and not easy to eat. Next day I had joint problem. May be sanghi asked to add a little arsenic trioxide.

• Kathleen Dawn Oren (10/5): You won’t find a better location for the price. - Hotel Sheela is an oasis in the chaos of Agra. The rooms could use a coat of paint to freshen things up but over the place was great for the price. We ate breakfasts and dinner there and the food was very good. The staff was great, too.

• micksalter (4/5): This hotel would benefit with a major maintenance and upgrade. - Nice location and nice garden. When we arrived, we were told that room we had booked, doesn’t have hot water. (What hotel bath room doesn’t have hot water). But if we paid another 500 rupees we could upgrade and have hot water and air con. We agreed and upgraded, but the air con wasn’t able to be adjusted, so we couldn’t use it along with the tea making items, as the sockets didn’t work. And the last complaint was that the toilet seat wasn’t connected to the pan.
• izzy (2/5): Good location, definitely not worth it though - Location Our pillows were mouldy and we were unable to sleep on them for the two nights we were there. The bed didn’t come with any kind of top sheets just two unwashed blankets, when we requested a sheet for the double bed we were given two sheets that were torn in half so didn’t cover the bed and kept coming apart as we slept. There was mould everywhere, the bathroom was covered. The general smell of the room was so vile that it kept waking us up in the night. The bed was so hard that my boyfriend and I now have serious back and neck pain. The staff were very sweet but the actual place was below any kind of standard

Gentillesse du personnel et services rendus ( aide à réserver billets en ligne etc. Bonne literie. Les chambres et salle de bain ont besoin d’un bon rafraîchissement et ménage en profondeur : papier peint déchiré, mur salis, fauteuil peu propre, robinetterie…..

• Liyakath Ali (7/5): It was welcoming and lovely - It is located very close to Taj Mahal. It is our second time staying at this place. Staff was really nice . Even though the rooms are pretty basic and old, location wins. Good for a max 2 night stay. They also have a restaurant that offers food at a reasonable price. It’s a good place to stay if you wanna visit Taj Mahal for sunrise. It is located in no car zone , so you have to take your luggage on foot . But the staff really helped to carry our luggage to the hotel. Luggage with wheels would be useful here. Bathrooms can be improved. Everything looked pretty unclean and old. Rooms were not fully clean . Cups have collected dust .

Staff was not listening after taking payment, room was not cleaned and not maintained only one room offer not allowing to check for other rooms, staff was not educated to deal with married couples my partner was not feeling comfortable there. And there was no breakfast including or buffet option. On reception there was old guy only happy to deal with locals or ne guests no service to old one.

• Yuan Hsiang (10/5): It was a lovely stay. The staff Raji, his father and the staff at the of the restaurant are helpful and kind. They helpe - The location is good. We walk to the Taj Mahal in 5 minutes. The staff is nice and the room is okay-clean. And the shower water is hot. The room light is a bit dark at night but acceptable. The floor was a little sandy, but it was already so-called clean compared to the other property we had stayed in India.

• Ian (10/5): Oasis of peace and tranquility - This is an oasis of calm in a bustling city. It is next to the Taj Nature park, so the noisiest sounds during the day are parakeets and peacocks calling. At night there are only crickets, and the occasional troop of monkeys passing through. Bliss!!!!!! The staff are diligent, polite and attentive. At £12 a night, the rooms are not smart, but they are tremendous value for money. The location is prefect for visiting the TM. Nothing.

• Nasser (7/5): - The staff were so helpful and professional. I enjoyed my dinner at the restaurant. The WiFi was very poor and was a deal-breaker for me. The owners should invest in more routers. The place could also do with some updating.

Il ristorante interno è buono. Ci hanno fornito un tuk tuk, a pagamento ma onesto, per prendere il treno alle 6 AM. Zona molto tranquilla e silenziosa, attenzione perché è pedonale perciò i tuk tuk non possono entrare e va chiesto specificatamente di farsi lasciare all' Eastern Gate del Taj Mahal. Le lenzuola non erano molto pulite.

The blankets were stinking of dead rats. even after complaining the staff and manager they didn't change the blankets. we were 6 people and everyone couldn't sleep because of the stinky blankets and also it was a clod night. The hotel could work on the cleanliness part. it has potential yet its a waste opportunity.

Only EVs are allowed around the Taj Mahal area, so I had to walk for 5 to 10 minutes to catch a tuktuk, and 15 minutes to catch a taxi.

• Angela (8/5): Great stay so close to Taj Mahal - The location of Hotel Sheela is second to none. Within 200m of the East Gate entry to the Taj and in the vehicle exclusion zone, it is ideal. And the garden area surrounding the hotel is the cherry on the cake. We woke to birdsong (rather than the usual Indian traffic noise), which was wonderful. Would definitely recommend staying here. Cleaning could be improved.
• Sinjini (9/5): Value for Money - Firstly I would like to recommend this hotel for all those travelers who wants to stay near Taj Mahal. One star extra for Mr. Jayant who was managing the property. A smiley face and always eager to help. I booked a basic room then upgraded. For Bengali travellers you will get bhat dal mach . Mach dont expect typical bengali style if you are craving for Fish you can try. Loved the Garden area. 1. There was a RAT in side room 2. Interior to be improved.
