Nos ayudaron en todo lo necesario, se preocuparon porque estuviéramos bien en todo momento y se encargaron personalmente de que pudiésemos tomar el autobús. Solo podemos agradecerles su ayuda! 10/10 Las habitaciones correctas, y las vistas del desayuno son espectaculares. Sin duda si regresamos a Berat volveremos a alojarnos aquí. El desayuno no es muy variado pero compensa porque las vistas son espectaculares!

- Philip (10/5): Spectacular, a rare find. - Perfectly situated for seeing the many sites of Berat, which, in itself, is a beautiful place worthy of at least a two day visit. View from our room was fantastic. Staff were outstanding, most notably Raimonda, who went above and beyond as if it is second nature to her. Breakfast room offers spectacular panoramic views and the breakfast was very nice. The air conditioning was very welcome in the hot climate we enjoyed. Beds were comfortable with nice bed linen. Could have done with a mirror in the room as well as the one in the bathroom.

De douche liep over in het toilet waardoor je na het douchen de hele grond met handdoeken kon bedekken omdat je anders niet met droge voeten naar het toilet kon. Dit hotel nooit doen

The apartment had no air conditioning, and when I asked the host for help, they said nothing could be done. The host was also very rude and unhelpful, which made the stay even more uncomfortable.

Breakfast is not accurate from photos and descriptions, it’s not Swedish table but rather omelet and some bread. Breakfast.

- Kenneth (10/5): Good location with full old town view - The location is very close to the old town and our room had full view. The is no parking even though the Booking listing states there are parking. Nearby public parking is about 10 euro. Our room toilet was half inside the shower.

She gave us so many great recommendations of things to do and where to eat etc. great person! Would come back just because of her. The views from the room were spectacular also The breakfast was not great

In der Lobby raucht der Sicherheitsdienst mit seinen Kumpels, sodass es mehrere Etagen durch das Treppenhaus zieht. Parkplatzsuche vor dem Hotel sehr schwierig. Fussläufig entfernt gibt es ein Parkaus.

Excellent location and unbeatable views from the breakfast lounge. Modern, clean, friendly staff, would 100% recommend. We didn’t realise there were parking cards available and ended up with a ticket because we’d parked in incorrectly. Not the hotels fault, we should have asked about parking!

- salma (7/5): - Very good location, clean room Nice breakfast I stayed at the hotel with a friend we didn't plan to spend the whole day together so asked for two keys to the room but were refused. We also asked to split the payment so that each of us could pay separately, but were told it wasn’t possible ,these are basic and reasonable requests that I’ve never had a problem with at any other hotel in Albania or elsewhere and I travel a lot —The bathroom was very cramped, with no separation between the toilet and shower so the whole floor and toilet got wet every time we took shower

Huone oli todella kuuma saavuttuamme ja kesti pari tuntia saada se inhimilliseen lämpötilaan. Ilmastointia ei voinut itse säätää ja se tarkoitti heräilyä muutaman tunnin välein laittamaan ilmastointi pois ja taas päälle. Huoneesta puuttui tallelokero. Aamiaistila on upea. Täysin poikkeuksellinen, aamupala oli runsas ja se tuotiin pöytiin. Palvelusta ja pysäköinnistä (joka tosin oli jonkun matkan päässä) plussaa.

Also I was given free garage access for my car A man walked into my room unexpectedly. I had a single room accommodation booked alone although there were 3 beds available. I did not appreciate that this man came into my room. He must have thought it was vacant which means the room was double booked. I wad clothed luckily but it frightened me.

- BluePete (10/5): Fantastic views - I spent 1 night here , I was on an Explore tour. The views from this hotel are fantastic, I was on the 4th floor and had a great view from my bedroom. Breakfast is on the 7th floor , probably the most stunning view I have ever eaten Breakfast too. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy. Bed comfortable, shower good. The WiFi signal is strong and stable. Centrally located, there is a supermarket across the road. Breakfast was good. One of the better hotels I stayed in.
- Fozia (10/5): - My friend and I absolutely loved our stay at Merko. From the airport transfer arranged by the hotel manager Rey from Tirana airport to each day we spent at the hotel, our stay wa made very pleasant by Rey (she also advised us re local sightseeing amd travel to other areas) and her staff especially Alaina at reception. The hotel is in a prime location, very peaceful compared to others in the area, in the centre of Berat with food places, local shops, cash exchange etc. it stands right in the centre with gorgeous views and overlooks the river and the castle at the top of the hill. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and modern. We had access to an iron which wa ever helpful. The breakfast is great on the top floor and varied each day. We loved our stay and want to thank Rey and her team for the amazing job that they do as hosts. We will definitely stay at Merko again!

The breakfast room, located on the top floor, offers equally stunning 360-degree views of the charming town, making every morning feel special. The breakfast itself was delicious, offering a wide range of options to suit all tastes. The hotel’s modern, chic design adds to its allure, and the staff were consistently welcoming and attentive, making the entire stay exceptional. Highly recommended for anyone seeking luxury with a personal touch. The wet room-style bathroom, while functional, is quite compact, so water tends to spread easily. It could benefit from a bit more thought in design, especially when it comes to lighting. The current room setup offers only bright lighting options, with no ambient or softer alternatives, which detracts from creating a more relaxing atmosphere.

Walkable to the Main Street where the restaurants are, and a short walk (uphill) to the castle, the gates of pasha, the mosques and cathedrals, and the famous bridge. Great views of the town from the rooftop where breakfast is served. The beds don’t come with a blanket or comforter but that’s easily fixed by changing the room temperature. Each room has an individual adjustable AC unit. (Also I didn’t ask for one)

- Darren (9/5): Amazing views and friendly staff - Location, breakfast on the 7th floor with amazing views (nice food also) and very helpful staff. Parking was a little hit or miss and breakfast was a little later than I would have liked - probably typical for Albania so all good.

- Artemis (8/5): It’s an ok stay - The location is perfect!! You are in the heart of the city. The personnel is very kind and helpful ( especially Serxhio 😊) There is no parking which makes it hard and there is no views from the rooms. The breakfast is ok but very limited for the price and reputation of the hotel.

- Leonardo (10/5): Modern hotel with excellent location and views - Very modern hotel in the city center. Excellent location, with views to the castle. The staff was very helpful and the receptionist spoke spanish. The hotel has it's own private parking which was much appreciated because parking in the city is complicated. The bar where the restaurant is served is in the last floor and had amazing 360 views of the city and the castle. Wi-Fi was down during the night but they said it was a general problem of the Service provider.

- Blerina (10/5): Exceptional - The best hotel in Berat, very close to the center, less than 500 meters away, in a quiet street. the room, the service, the staff and the breakfast were the strong points of this hotel during our stay. We will return with pleasure! -
- Khansae (9/5): Superb - Very kind and friendy staff, the rooms are clean and spatious, and we had to work with laptops during our stay, the Good Wifi was a big plus for us. We decided to extend our stay and the second room provided has a a great view on the city ( much better than any rooftop).

- Mathias (9/5): Comfortable and ideally located hotel - Very good location. Nice people. Modern room although a bit cramped. Very beautiful view from breakfast room and from our room (fourth floor). Good breakfast (dairy, eggs, vegetables, marmalade, bread, cake, cornflakes, coffee (quite light), juices. Easy access by car. Low wifi performance at "peak-hour"
- Carlos (1/5): Bad - Location Everything. Unprofessional staff , weak internet and cold breakfast. Including that you have to play for your coffee on the morning.
