Guest Reviews
- Kate (4/5): - Was okay. Good location. Old lady working there was kind of strange - kept coming into our room and causing a fuss (?). The towels were all ripped to shreds and the bathroom was filthy.
- Sandra (8/5): Satisfactoria. - La chica nos dejó hacer el check-in antes de la hora prevista. Los primeros días teníamos unas obras justo en la ventana y trabajaban hasta las 6 de la mañana, pero hablamos con la chica y nos cambió de habitación.

- Peter (5/5): Great to stay the night. - We needed to stay one night in the old quarter before heading out the next morning. This hotel served our purposes well for that. The AC was nice. Also, the staff were kind and happy to see us which made the experience better overall It was not very clean and the balcony had construction leftovers on it.

- Roman (6/5): Nothing better for this price - Very nice charming lady owner, always happy to help. She arranged tours for us and helped with other issues.
The hotel (in name only) is in walking distance from the city heart. Tiny room, that needs to be refreshed long ago. Mouldy air. Almost no window ( we had our room in the backside). Not very clean in and outside, especially in the lobby.
- Abdelali (5/5): Passable -
- Marie-claude (6/5): Pleasant - Good location. Cheap. The staff was responsive when we were unhappy with our room. The smell of humidity and mold. Would need to be refreshed.

- Abigail (7/5): Cheap stay in a great location. You get what you pay for. - Excellent location, and very affordable family run hotel. Convenient for a short stay. Room (including towels and sheets) were not extremely clean. If you’re tall you may have to sit on the toilet sideways as the wet room is very small.

- Dizon (5/5): Passable - Near beer street My AC was turned off every 10-15 minutes which is very annoying and you can’t manually turn it on by yourself.

- Ingrid (5/5): What to expect for the price - The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodated us with a balcony room for no extra charge. Took an interest in our travels and gave us bananas when we were leaving. The facilities were not clean, with lack of ventilation in the bathroom causing the room to be musty and mouldy. The towels were not clean and the bath itself was not fit for use. The cup and kettle were also not clean.
This was such a shame as the family were so lovely.
- Despina (4/5): Disappointing - The location is very good and that's all. Everything else is disappointing.
- Fadhil (1/5): Bad - There was no elevator in the hotel, and climbing the stairs was very tiring, there was noise everywhere, the staff was not friendly, and the furniture was old and dilapidated. As for the internet, it was very weak in the rooms, and you had to go down to the reception in order to be able to get internet.
- Stefane (8/5): Very good - Good for a quick stay, budget friendly, comfy bed, and really good location.
- Rojendro (7/5): Good -
- Philipp (6/5): Pleasant - Right in the middle of the old quarter, cozy back alley It was quite loud at night because of the other guests. The toilet
seat could only be seated sideways (wall in front!).
- Rubin (10/5): Good place for stay -
- Prabhash (8/5): Very good -
- Louis (7/5): Get what you pay for, complaints at this price point are not necessary - Friendly staff, had the essentials

- Rs211 (10/5): Exceptional - Just booked here dont even think twice for those who wanna make this hotel as ur stay while u’re in hanoi…the location was very strategic and very walkable to other places, and sure its safe to walk around here..the owner was very friendly and treat us nicely, she even spoke a very good english, so no language barrier here..also she let us keep our stuff before check in and after check out while waiting for our bus..very recommended for u guys to stay here..
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional - A great place to stay right in the old city! We stayed here at the start & the end of our trip. The room was spacious & a nice hot water shower! The balcony was perfect.
Ann is really kind & helpful & helped with onward journeys.
It is good value based on location.

- Johnny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Đỗ (7/5): Friendly - Location
- Leah (4/5): Not clean at all - The staff was friendly and let us check in very early morning and was very responsive The bathtub in the bathroom was horrendous and full of ants :( didn’t want to shower. It was not clean at all. Cut the stay early anyway to catch a bus and was glad about it
- Karolina (5/5): Ok for 1 night sleep - Nice location. Very strong smell from the street. Not very clean. Super bright light, like in a hospital. Air conditioner does not work so it was super hot like sauna. We were 4, got 2 towels.

- Finlay (7/5): Good -
- Abbie (9/5): Superb - Returned to this hotel a few days later and it was still really good Got charged twice what we payed the first time for a room extremely similar. Both times we stayed 1night
- Abbie (9/5): Superb - So close to more than everything that we needed the people were amazing it was very convenient Plug sockets didn't work but wasn't the end of the world
- Circé (5/5): Passable - Nice location in center of the old quarter The air conditioner (AC) was disfonctioning so the night was awful
The sheets were dirty and stained
The women doesn’t speak English at all
And the smell in hall of the hotel is juste disgusting
- Tim (10/5): Can only be recommended! - Very good location, friendly and helpful staff and all in all a great experience. They even helped me with printing my flight tickets, organizing a libra for my luggage and organizing my transport to the airport. Oh and as if all that would not be enough already... I even was allowed to check in 8 hours earlier for just paying a very little bit more. Great, i can only recommended this place!
- Aleksandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sophie (9/5): Superb - Location - directly in the center, still calm and quiet during the night. Good value for money. Showers were cold but you don‘t want anything else in this heat, trust me. 24 h check in, AC in room, toilet paper and fresh towels every day nothing
- Sophie (8/5): good value for money comfy beds you get what you pay for - good location and value for money
- Floren (2/5): the most terrible hotel I ever had - the tenant was okay This property is terribly in need of thorough cleaning. When we arrived, the lobby was badly nasty. There were rice cooker on the floor with the bicycle beside. We couldnt sit on the sofa due to its dirt. the floors are filthy. Her children were playing around and the lady could not accomodate us fairly because she has a toddler on hand. the desk was scattered with things and it was smelly. Our room was smelly too. the sink was broken. The fridge was nasty inside. We booked for 5 days here but we couldnt stand it so we decided to just book for a night. it was a nightmaire!
- Sergio (6/5): Good value for money - Location 3rd floor no lift
- Bürig (3/5): Poor - Firdge and size of the bed I got sick from the dirty Air conditioner.
- Fan (8/5): Very good -
- Siddharth (6/5): Live it if you want to be in old quarters - Location is amazing. Exactly in old quarters where you want to be,
The room size is spacious.
The host is a very sweet family who will help you in any way they can. Maybe it was just that my rooms bathroom had a peculiar smell which was not the most pleasant.
The overall cleanliness can be better.
- Anonymous (4/5): Disappointing - good location. old, dirty and smelly. last minute booking. you get what you pay for here.
- Garry (3/5): Poor - The room was decently sized for a twined No hot water until room changed on last day, was taken from airport to a sister hotel without prior knowledge so never saw Carina(double booked?) Was placed on 4th floor with no lift, second guest is having hip replacement in July so hardly ideal, heavily polluted outside in probably busiest part of Hanoi.
- Steven (7/5): Good -
- Leah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marius (7/5): Good -
- Thanh (6/5): Pleasant - Great location Facilities are dated, the AC was very loud.
- Jack13425 (6/5): Value for money but lot of compromise - Great location. Very close to the beer street and the Hoan Kiem lake. Don't expect a typical hotel service. It's a family run hotel and they live on the ground floor and they sometimes eat in the lobby. Also, they cry and create disturbance. The hotel closes door at 11pm so if you are planning to stay out, you have to bang the door and wait outside till they open the door.
- Am (8/5): Very good -
- Eszter (3/5): Poor - Great location and very nice and helpful host. Everithing was old and dirty. :(
- Margarida (5/5): Passable -
- Dorothee (9/5): Superb -
- Sean (8/5): Very good -
