The hotel is excellent, directly on the beach, the beach is great, the sun loungers on the beach are free, the entire hotel, the rooms, the restaurant and the beach are covered with excellent wifi, the breakfast was great, a large selection of products, the staff was very pleasant and the hotel was very clean. There was nothing I didn't like.

• Thomas (7/5): great location as long you get the correct room but wifi with ongoing problems - The room offered a great (partial) sea view. breakfast was good The hotel has its own beach with free chairs. Unfortunately we only got a corner unit when we requested and booked "sea view". the balkony is very slim, and it is not posisble to sit 2 persons next to each other and enjoy the sea view. only one behind the other :). if I book a sea view room...my expectation was that the balkony would be big enough for 2 persons sitting next to each other to watch the sea. With the corner unit we also got some noise from the big road on the opposite side, but was still OK. the Wifi was in a bad shape, it was on and off...but mainly off. Seems this is a ongoing problem in this hotel as many customers reported the same. with a better wifi connection my score would be higher....but I would consider a wifi nowadays a very basic requirement. The breakfast was OK, however, the coffee was not. the cappuccino was very waterish.

The beach was clean and beautiful. The hotel manager was very friendly and welcoming. Made us feel comfortable and was at out disposition for our requests and making sure everything's alright. The rest of the staff were helpful. The breakfast was okay. Little improvements can be made. The food at the restaurant was tasty, but maybe it lacked little consistency, Overall, out stay was fantastic and would highly recommend! Huge thanks to the manager and the hotel staff.

• Ken (5/5): Disappointing - Too many things I didn't like to put something here. Well, the rooms were clean. Plenty of hot water Firstly, I paid for a sea view an extra amount, and I got a very disappointing tiny balcony, with a slight view of the sea. The pictures for the room I booked showed a large balcony. So, I brought it up with the receptionist and all the good rooms were taken by people staying there for months he said. Well, I booked a better room I said, then he showed me an unfinished room on the 6th floor that still had a tiny balcony. So disappointing, especially when I paid the additional price. This was my major complaint. but there were many, many others. I asked about the internet because I had important online meetings. I had no internet in my room and when I did get on it constantly kicked us off and went to cellular data, which again cost me more money. The internet constantly was a hassle. Breakfast was cold with day-old chocolate filled rolls. Breakfast the same blah stuff every morning. A decent selection, but they did not put the hot water in the warmers to keep it warm. Eggs, sausages, etc. all cold. 2 beat-up wire hangers in the closet, not nearly enough. Only one main light in the bedroom, no reading lights. Pillows sucked. Flat as pancakes and old. Restaurant off season (May), I would not trust at all. Not sure if it was ever open enough to have a decent menu. You were risking your life pulling the car out of the blind parking lot. Get a mirror, or two! Sorry, but maybe if you made some small improvements I would be back.

• Sara (8/5): Great value of money, nice location at the beach - Breakfast was prepared to every guest (low season) so it was fresh and delicious. Staff was really helpfull and nice! One bedroom unit was good size. Our room was facing to ”mountains”, and the big road in front is really noisy. It didn’t bother us, but if you are light sleeper, book room from the ocean side.

We were only one night, the room was quite cold as it was February, but AC heated the room up. Mould underneath the sink and cabinet which wasn't a pleasant and healthy.

Delicious food and cocktails, and members of staff helped us with our onwards transfer making sure our cab driver knew exactly where we were going. So happy with our choice! I guess the deckchairs could have been a little newer? But that is me clutching at straws

Breakfast was not very attractive, the food was cold and you didn't really feel like eating it, I received coffee at the dispenser even though there was a professional coffee machine in the restaurant, at every entrance to the hotel you had to keep logging in to the internet, the air conditioned does not work.

• Elmi (5/5): Is not Place for me, I know you have 1000 better places to stay in this area - Near the beach private beach, private parking if you order the apartment with a Dinner then you don't get to enjoy the full menu but only with limited food with different menu, and I didn't like it at all, no one informed us about it until the second day, so we had booked 7 days and we had to eat limited things or pay extra for the full menu, service was lacking as they didn't have enough staff, greeting from the staff was missing, the elevator only worked with the room card and we all had only one card, the internet was a bit slow and in any case you have to sign In very often

• Alena (10/5): Exceptional - The aparthotel Espana is located directly on the beach with its own sunbeds and umbrellas for guests. Bedroom is big enough with a comfy mattresses. We traveled with only small luggage, so the washing machine in the apartment was a great advantage. The balcony was large with an outdoor seating, nice view of the sea and a clothes dryer (4th floor). Lift was a big advantage especially for my 80 years old mum. Restaurant is on the ground floor and we had HB. You can choose for breakfast fried eggs, omelettes, sausages, cheese, butter, vegetable, fruit, jam, müsli, yogurt, croissant, usually 1 more type of cake and coffee + non alcoholic drinks from machine. For prepaid dinner you have 4 courses, each has a few options and includes also glass of wine, draught beer or Fanta, Cola or Sprite. Supermarket 2 minutes on foot. But most of all we love the hospitality, willingness and help from Toni and his staff. Always ready to help and give an advise. You can also order transfer from/to Tirana airport. I cannot say this is the best accommodation in the world but for the price we paid it was worth it and we really like our stay here. I do not expect 5***** quality if I do not pay for it :) And they have one of the best MOJITO´s I have ever had! - quite difficult to go out from the shower as the toilet was very close, but we made it :)

The manager of the hotel was always nice and helping us every time we asked him something. We arrived in the hotel very late in the night, and that was not a problem. We did not have lunch, because it was not a season time

• Veronica (8/5): Good hotel just needs some tweaking - This hotel is perfectly situated on the beach. Unfortunately there is the motorway which runs behind it so if you want a balcony you have a view of the motorway. If you opt for no balcony you get a side sea view. The rooms were large and spacious with good facilities although the beds were quite hard. This was on bed and breakfast basis but unfortunately no choice for breakfast you just got abit of everything which I'm sure is fine for some people but when you don't eat cheese and your husband doesn't eat eggs makes it quite interesting. The breakfast was large and consisted of bread with jam, fresh whole apple, some type of yoghurt, sausage, fried eggs, tomato, cucumber, cheese. You also got a glass of milk and fruit juice again no choice. We didn't eat dinner here but it had an extensive menu to choose from and a bottle of korca (local beer) would cost 170 lek.
• Gemma (10/5): Great last minute booking. Wish we stayed longer! - The welcome was brilliant - Especially given the time of night we arrived and our last minute booking. Our room was large with plenty of facilities and an unexpected side sea view, which was great. Lovely dinner, despite arriving late and an amazing breakfast! The best we've had in ages. All topped off with a beach front location, close to the port and super clean room and beds. We would definitely recommend - Elton and his family and staff were so lovely and friendly. The only thing missing was some sun beds on the beach, but we were there before 'proper' season started, so that was to be expected. Honestly, I'm hard pushed to find anything bad to say, its great!

• Ljupco (9/5): I'd like to visit him in the summer season. - We have been to the hotel out of season and are fully satisfied with the accommodation, staff, breakfast and location. We got a room with a beautiful view of the sea, which in April was quite restive. I recommend that you choose this hotel.

• Tom (9/5): Nice stay facing Duress Beach - we reached lately At location. but still they welcomed without any issues. breakfast was delicious and served with shorts of racky (local alcohol) we got room at 6th floor and loft was only available till 5th floor. but still it was okay.

• Riitta (7/5): Good - Friendly and helpful staff. Big, clean apartment with a sea view. Free parking. Airport transportation. There were no knives and wine glasses in the kitchenet. The first night we didn't get the room, we had booked and there was couple argueing loudly right next door till the morning. It was impossible to sleep. The elevator was out of order several days. Breakfast was modest and the coffee cold. The restaurant had very limited meny propably because of the off-season. Most of the restaurants along the street promenade were closed in the evening.

I have requested the staff to put flowers in the room before we arrive as I want to surprise my wife and they helped me with this. we arrived late tonight and we woke up late but the staff still fixed breakfast for us which was nice of them the water for the shower was cold. and we sat without water and electricity for around 5 hours. we did not get a room with the same picture and written as we booked on the first day but had to move to the room on the second day.

• Ilse (10/5): A great place to stay, relax and experience Albanian hospitality! - One day after my arrival, thanks to the very friendly hotel owner Toni, I was able to change my room and received exactly the one I had asked for in advance: a very charming, sunny room with red wallpaper and a large balcony on the upper floors of the hotel with a fantastic view of the sea. The hotel is very charming in general - not too big and thus much more personal and familiar with a large beach and its own sunbeds and umbrellas (which were free for hotel guests). For Breakfast there was a plentiful buffet. I preferred to order a really good double espresso (as a special request) directly at the bar and was happy to pay for it (not more than one EUR!) The hotel offers a restaurant that I can also recommend (I ate there almost every day). I had a really good time at this place because it provided exactly what I needed for the moment: a place where I could relax in the best way with great opportunity to swim. The Albanian hospitality that I experienced, especially in this hotel, contributed greatly to this pleasant atmosphere.

There was no watermelon and melon.Very good expresso at the restaurant bar for 100 Lek.Great pizzas and fish in the restaurant.The staff is good.The sea view is amazing. The terrace was made into a room to be larger with glazed windows. These windows are heated by the sun, as if you were in a sauna.It's good that there is air conditioning and dark curtains.
