• Aleksandra (4/5): Stay away if you can - Big room The check-in process was ridiculously long, with huge queues (check-in started at 3pm, and some guests were still waiting at 5:30pm). We observed this issue consistently throughout our stay. Delays were caused not only by the understaffed reception and the process itself but also by numerous problems with bookings via Booking.com, which the hotel claimed had not been paid for (despite guests disputing this), as well as room issues (rooms being either dirty or already occupied). Luggage storage before and after check-in came at an extra cost, yet bags were not securely stored. Instead, they were left in the middle of the lobby the entire time, and no proof of ownership was required upon collection. Only one lift was operational, and it was shared with the hotel’s cleaning staff (including large trolleys), resulting in long waiting times whenever we needed to use it. On top of all this, the customer service was very poor. We didn’t feel welcome upon arrival - rather than greeting us, the receptionist simply informed us that check-in starts at 3pm. It also felt like they were taking their time with the check in process despite obvious delays and dissatisfaction amongst the guests in the queue.

The access to hotel is open, and it seems open to security issues. Coffee and microwave are available in lobby- none in room. The outside of windows of room were quite dirty.
• Macie (2/5): it was fine. i won’t be back but it did what it had to do i guess - the bed was comfy & the location was good. there was never anybody at the front desk, they messed up our reservation, it wasn’t completely clean, the water smelled weird, the lights didn’t turn on unless you hit certain switches at certain times.
• Nives (8/5): Nicely located hotel with spacious rooms and friendly staff - Location and the room were absolutley amazing, staff was more than friendly. Room was very spacious and clean, I am used to european rooms and no room was ever that big. After reading the comments I was afraid that things will go really bad, but my experience wasn’t like that. I think that value for money is amazing. Common spaces could be more clean, and coffee could be better - but in the end it was one of the cheapest places to stay so I really can’t complain.

Lo peor del hotel (leer hasta el final que muchas cosas malas) son las personas de recepción que no saben, ni pueden, resolver absolutamente nada. No te piden perdón por los problemas ocasionados. Y son varios los problemas que tuvimos. La.limpieza del hotel da asco. Basura tirada por los pasillos, en el lobby, en los ascensores, objetos en las habitaciones. El wifi no llega a las habitaciones. El aire acondicionado no enfría y si funciona hace más ruido que la turbina de un avión. El colchón está en pésimo estado, hundido e incómodo. Te cobran almacenar las maletas y no te lo avisan en ningún sitio y despues de todos los problemas que tuvimos insistían en cobrarlo. Las habitaciones las limpian cada 3 días y tampoco te lo avisan. Te piden que canceles la reserva y les pagues directamente a ellos además de un depósito de 150usd que tampoco anuncian en ningún sitio. Tiene sólo a una persona en el front desk, que entre los problemas de las habitaciones y si es.el momento de check in o check out puedes quedarte esperando a que te atienda 25 minutos. Esperando para que no te resuelva absolutamente nada, mirándote con mala cara y una actitud muy poco amable. Si pides hablar con un encargado te dicen que puedes enviar un correo que no te van a contestar. Al hacer el check out nos encontramos con mas de 6 habitaciones que también habían tenido todo tipo de problemas.

Only 1 elevator worked and then it broke down at night and we had to go up the stairs. Terrible hotel. I'll never come back.

Ni te piden perdón por los problemas ocasionados. Y son varios los problemas que tuvimos. La.limpieza del hotel da asco, desde el lobby, hasta las habitaciones, pasando por el ascensor todo sucio. Basura tirada por los pasillos. Las ventanas con tierra pegada(dentro y fuera) desde quién sabe cuando. El wifi no llega a las habitaciones. El aire acondicionado no enfría y si funciona hace más ruido que la turbina de un avión. El ascensor funciona cuando quiere. El colchón está más hundido que el titanic. Te cobran almacenar las maletas y no te lo avisan. Hay fotos como si el hotel tuviera terraza común pero es engañoso, no existe tal terraza. Las habitaciones las limpian cada 3 días y tampoco te lo avisan. Te piden que canceles la reserva y les pagues directamente a ellos además de un depósito de 150usd que tampoco anuncian en ningún sitio. Dejan todo el manejo de un hotel a sólo 1 persona por turno, que claramente no tiene la formación ni las capacidades para resolver problemas, ni para atender al público. Al pedir una solución te dicen: vete.

• Céline (6/5): Great location that is quiet despite being central, but unfortunately not very clean.” - The location is perfect—you’re close to everything, including the subway station. The price is also great value for the stay. Even though it’s very central, it’s quiet at night, so you can sleep well without much noise. At the entrance, it looks quite run-down, almost as if something is missing, but the rooms are nice and comfortable.

• Heidi (1/5): The city was great, terrible hotel. - It was the first time we stayed in that area and it was ok. More laid-back neighborhood than we were used to. You could somewhat tell it used to be a nice place. Now, there are TV’s in the rooms throughout the hotel that do not work, noWiFi. No washcloths throughout, no body-wash, barely shampoo. The table in the room was stained and had dusty chairs. Some shades did not open. All the way around, it was dumpy. Partly my fault as I didn’t read the amenities for the hotel, I just assumed those things would be available. The room was just plain unacceptable. The best thing was the male attendant at the front desk was very understanding and told us he always gets complaints about the hotel. He has talked to management with no results. He asked me to not use his name when I write the review for fear of his job.

• Karen (5/5): Excelente ubicacion y un buen lugar solo para ir a dormir, no para pasar tiempo en el hotel. - La ubicación es realmente privilegiada, muy central y facil de llegar. La habitación era bastante grande y cómoda. Ninguno de los dias tuve limpieza del cuarto aún cuando lo pedí, el wifi no funcionaba del todo bien. El frigobar estaba desconectado y no se puede ver nada en la tv ni canales abiertos.

• Leonardo (5/5): Falta administração correta - Recepcionista mulher não entende nada do hotel, não conseguiu alguém para abrir o frigobar, e não dava a mínima atenção ficava no celular e nem olhava pra quem estava atendendo, o pessoal que atende nos quartos não fala inglês e nem um garfo conseguiram me trazer, o principal problema é o frigobar que ficava trancado e não dava pra usar e me falaram que não podiam resolver, de todos hotéis que fiquei esse foi o pior

Es findet keine Zimmerreinigung statt, auch kein Handtuchwechsel - wir waren 5 Nächte dort. Im Bad gibt es weder Shampoo noch Duschgel, auch nicht auf Nachfrage. Toilettenpapier muss man sich an der Rezeption abholen. Wir waren das erste Mal in New York und wissen nicht wie vergleichbare Hotels sind.

Rooms were clean and tidy When we arrived for our prepaid booking, they have given our paid-for room away so we have to be downgraded for the first 2 nights of our stay. We wanted a partial refund for these 2 nights as we have paid more than the value of the lesser room and the staff said this would be no issue but 2 months later and they refuse to refund us and now booking.com has just sorted credit on their site but not actually refunded the money. The air con was broken in the rooms and it was incredibly hot the last two nights. They couldnt fix it and said they could move us but this was at 9pm on the last night of our stay so wasnt worth it. Despite the rooms being clean, there were things broken everywhere. Staff were all just super vague and unhelpful which was disappointing.

• Arnoud (3/5): Indien in werkende conditie prima hotel, waar klantgerichtheid tijdens mijn verblijf ruim onvoldoende was. - De ligging is goed en handig als uitvalsbasis in New York vlakbij Central Station. Rustige nette buurt. Ik had de hotelkamer enkele maanden voorafgaand aan mijn reis reeds geboekt en betaald. Bij inchecken rond middernacht bleek de airco op de voor mij gereserveerde kamer niet te werken en was de temperatuur 30 graden Celsius in kamer. De receptioniste gaf de kamer initieel niet uit, maar bood ook geen alternatief of hulp om uit te wijken naar een andere overnachtingsmogelijkheid. Voorafgaand aan de aankomst in het hotel was door het hotel geen contact gezocht met mij als klant, of melding gemaakt van het probleem. Na aandringen bij gebrek aan een alternatief werd de kamer wel vrijgegeven, maar in het geheel geen hulp geboden, of pogingen ondernomen om de temperatuur om laag te krijgen. Na het doorluchten van de kamer en het efficiënt plaatsen van een ventilator, kreeg ik de temperatuur na een uur naar rond de 25 graden. Niet comfortabel, maar in ieder geval nog wat kunnen slapen in dit toch al korte nachtje. Ook hoefde ik niet midden in de nacht op zoek te gaan naar een ander hotel, waar ik wel blij mee was, omdat ik niet bekend ben in de stad en de receptioniste in ieder geval mij niet ging helpen naar een alternatief. In de ochtend werd aangegeven dat een andere kamer voorbereid zou worden en ik deze na een dag in de stad in zou kunnen. Bij terugkomst aan het eind van de dag was er echter bij de receptionist die toen op dienst was niets bekend van mijn situatie. Evengoed werd door deze receptionist snel een kamer beschikbaar gesteld die wel een werkende airconditioning had. Deze kamer was prima. Wel gaf de receptionist aan dat het internet was uitgevallen deze dag. Voor mij was wifi zonder telefoonabonnement in New York mijn enige communicatiemiddel. Ter plekke een dure e-sim aangeschaft om contact te houden met mijn reisgenoten. Ik heb mijn ervaringen heb gedeeld met het hotel. Vanuit het hotel is hier geen reactie op gegeven, en ook een reminder mail is onbeantwoord gebleven, nu ruim drie weken geleden. Dat dingen stuk gaan of niet werken, kan altijd.

• Vitor MS (7/5): Ótima localização em Manhattan - O hotel possui uma ótima localização bem próximo a Grand Central Terminal. Quarto amplo, banho confortável e limpeza diária. O valor é um pouco alto mas considerando os preços de Nova York foi uma ótima opção. O sistema de alarme de incêndio estava com problemas e na primeira noite de hospedagem acordei umas 4 vezes com aquele barulho ensurdecedor, felizmente isso aconteceu apenas na primeira noite. Faltou frigobar e microondas na acomodação, o quarto tem espaço para uma área com esses dois itens ... reforço a necessidade do frigobar para manter líquidos em temperatura não ambiente em uma cidade com calor muito forte durante o verão.
• michael bruno (7/5): - localizacao excente, check in tranquilo carpete antigo pra quem tem alergias é bem inviável. o alarme de incendio disparou 3x durante a noite, ficamos assustados mas foi um problema no alarme, mas atrapalhou bastante o sono, 3x durante a madrugada.

• Petra (8/5): - excellent location, cleanliness was sufficient, towels were changed every day and bed linen was made regularly. The windows were not clean and therefore we had no view of the city. It is true that we did not spend much time in the room, but the windows could have been cleaner. We also did not have shower soaps replenished upon check-in, nor were they replenished during the entire stay.

• GA (1/5): Terrível serviço ao cliente / boa localização - Localização, tamanho do quarto Esqueci-me de items (algumas peças de roupa) no quarto.e o alojamento há 5 dias que não responde nem às minhas mensagens nem às do apoio ao cliente da Booking para os poder reaver. Entretanto tive que regressar ao meu país e esta ausência de resposta terá eventualmente dificultado ou impedido a devolução destes items.

Aftaler med receptionen blev overholdt ift skift af håndklæder, skift elpærer mv. Det er ikke 4-stjernet standard, at man ikke kan få en kop kaffe på hotellet. Hotellet trænger til en opgradering for fire stjerner skal give mening.

• Oliver (8/5): Excellent essentials, but missing some desirables - Excellent location right in the heart of Midtown and only a 5min walk from Grand Central station. The room was well sized and the bed was comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful, storing my bags for free for the day after checkout and helping my friend to change rooms after discovering as fault with her AC. The hotel feels a little dated, with rickety elevators, chipped and scuffed wooden furniture and older TVs in the rooms that only have cable. The wifi did not exist at all in my room on the higher floors, and there is no in-hotel dining options.
