• Helen (10/5): The warmest welcome at this beautiful, family run hotel - It’s difficult to sum up what a wonderful place this is. The owner Tatiana gives the warmest welcome, making it a really special place to stay. . We’ve stayed here twice and absolutely love it. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast is freshly made and huge, with delicious home made walnut and honey cake on the side one day and home made byrek on another. The street is quiet and the beds very comfortable, so set up for a great night’s sleep. It’s also in a perfect location only a few steps from the main sights. Thank you, thank you Tatiana! Nothing - this place is just perfect.

• Anna (10/5): - Tatiana, you were one of the sweetest hosts during our balkan trip. Grazie mille <3 If you arrive here by motorbike, you can park in front of the building (it's a flat area). Ask Tatiana for the best roads to take to arrive to the hotel, she will help you. It's rught in the ci ty center. Nothing, great and clan place, free home made snacks in the evening,great breakfast.

Het is prachtig gerestaureerd en met zorg ingericht. Tatiana is een heel lieve en attente gastvrouw. Nergens kregen we een meer uitgebreid en lekker ontbijt dan in Argyropolis. Een top adres. Alles wat je kan verwachten van een boutique hotel. Er is niets wat niet meeviel.

• Carmen (9/5): A wonderful stay in a 200+ old building - they did a great job updating it. It has a beautiful view! - Tatiana was lovely. The place was so cool and in a perfect location and the breakfast was amazing. We thought we had two beds. One of the beds was a daybed not made up.
• Gregory (10/5): Outstanding guesthouse with a kind and charming host - We loved everything about this guesthouse. It's in a great location for exploring the historic and charming town of Gjirokaster. It was spotlessly clean and decorated with pine. The traditional curtains, colourful cushions and small details made it very cozy and comfortable. There was parking in front of the guesthouse. Tatiana and her colleague made us feel very welcome in her grandmother's home. The breakfasts were delicious and cooked the moment we entered the breakfast room. There was always free bottled water at the front desk. Tatiana was helpful with directions and gave us some of her excellent family wine to try. We had a beautiful view from our light and bright room. The only thing I would request is that the directions to the guesthouse are sent out a little earlier to guests. We unfortunately missed the email message from Tatiana on our arrival day. Google took us up an impossibly narrow road which was quite scary and could have been avoided if we knew of the better and safer route ahead of time.

The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated to a high standard. Breakfast was freshly prepared and very generous portions. Tatiana helped us park outside the hotel, and everything to see was within a 10 minute walk. Having to leave! We didn't want to go!!

• Carsten (10/5): Kleines, sehr schönes B&B mit großer Freundlichkeit - Wunderschönes kleines Hotel und einem Service mit viel Liebe. Das Zimmer war groß und die Betten super bequem. Das Bad ist klein und mit wenig Stauraum, reicht aber völlig aus. Hauptsache war eine schöne Dusche. das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig, die Anreise aber eine Herausforderung bei all den kleinen Gassen. Parkmöglichkeit gibt es vor dem Hotel. Man ist aber dadurch sehr schnell zu Fuß an der Burg und in der Altstadt von Gjirokastra. In der Umgebung gibt es viele kleine Restaurants, man muss nicht in den Trubel der Altstadt. Der Service ist soooo nett und das Frühstück sehr liebevoll bereitet. Eine tolle Erfahrung. Bad ist klein und mit wenig Stauraum, reicht aber völlig aus.
• Nils (10/5): - Eine toll restaurierte, stimmungsvolle Unterkunft in zentraler Lage (wenige Gehminuten bis in die trubeligen Gassen). Ganz besonders hervorzuheben ist Gastgeberin Tatiana, die sehr herzlich und ausgesprochen hilfsbereit ist und gemeinsam mit ihrer Angestellten täglich frisch ein leckeres, reichhaltiges Frühstück zubereitet. Sie umsorgte uns, so dass wir uns wie zu Hause fühlten. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Tatiana and Deti were very warm and hospitable hosts and went out of their way to make us comfortable and to feed us! The breakfasts were excellent and set us up for a day of walking up and down steep cobbled streets! Nothing - everything was lovely.

• Elisabeth (10/5): Verrukkelijke plek om te verblijven - Wat een mooie accommodatie. Een prachtige authentieke woning die zeer recent zeer eenvoudig en mooi gerenoveerd werd. De kamers waren voorzien van alle moderne comfort. De communicatie vooraf verliep prima. Het onthaal was verrassend en warm. Zeer lekker ontbijt! Gelegen midden in de historische stad en op wandelafstand van alle bezienswaardigheden en restaurants. Indien je met de auto komt is het even pittig omhoog en is voorzichtigheid aangewezen. Wij konden de wagen makkelijke kwijt in de buurt van de accommodatie. Een extra stopcontactje aan de bedden was handig geweest, maar dat is ook werkelijk het enige wat we van dit verblijf kunnen zeggen.

• Ela (10/5): We were honored to be hosted by Tatiana at her stylish hotel. - Perfectly located hotel - close to the historic center, the castle and all the key points of Girokastra, but also quiet and comfortable to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. The entire facility is maintained in a local and very atmospheric style with attention to every, even the smallest, detail. The apartment is hygienically clean, spacious and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The facility is run by a charming hostess, Tatiana, who offers hospitality and assistance, even with parking the car. Special mention should be made of the abundant breakfast prepared on site, always with fresh, local products and the hostess' own preserves and baked goods.

The location is perfect – just a short walk to the main bazaar with all the shops and restaurants, and an easy stroll up to the castle. The guest house itself is beautiful, set in a 200-year-old building with so much character. The rooms are full of charm while the bathrooms are modern, spotless, and very comfortable. But the real highlight is Tatiana. She is simply wonderful – so warm, kind, and full of passion for what she does. She made us a fantastic breakfast every morning and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. You can really tell she loves her guest house and her guests. I liked everything

Die Lage ist hervorragend, man ist in 10 Minuten im Altstadttrubel und am Bazar. Wir können dieses Hotel auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Nochmals vielen Dank Tatjana! Die Parksituation war etwas schwierig, aber Dank Tatjana hat es geklappt.

• Violaine (9/5): Bel hôtel au staff charmant - Très proche de toutes les attractions, la gérante est au petit soin pour toutes demandes. Eau froide en libre service. Le parking n'est pas des plus évidents mais au final avec l'aide de Tatiana on s'en est sorti. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux. J'avais pris cet hôtel pour la vue sur la ville et lors de ma réservation j'avais une chambre "vue sur ville" ... Ma chambre donnait sur un bâtiment et une fenêtre. Les vues sont en fait "vue montagne"... Je n'en tiens pas rigueur à l'hôtel car ils sont très gentils mais si comme moi vous souhaitez une vue de votre chambre alors prenez cet élément en compte :)

• Katharina Louise (10/5): Beautifully renovated traditional stone house in great location with the sweetest host! - The hotel is located in a traditional stone house which has been recently renovated and the quality of the renovation seemed a lot higher than we'd encountered elsewhere in the country. Perfectly located within 5-10 minutes walking distance to every major site but still far enough from the touristy busy center. Tatiana is the sweetest host, very attentive and the homemade breakfast was absolutely delicious. Everything was really great!

Alles ist fußläufig erreichbar und es ist eine sehr authentische und gemütliche Unterkunft. Abends hat sie uns sogar immer noch ein Dessert oder Wein aufs Zimmer gebracht. Einzig ein Kühlschrank wäre noch nett aber das wäre das Sahnehäubchen.

• camille (10/5): Wonderful stay at Argyropolis boutique hotel - Le bâtiment, entièrement restauré et rénové, s'inscrit parfaitement dans l'architecture typique de Gjirokastër, classé à l'UNESCO. Notre chambre était très propre, neuve et joliment décorée. L'emplacement est idéal, proche du centre et de la maison Skendulli. Tatiana notre hôte était vraiment adorable et toujours présente pour nous aider. Et les petits déjeuners faits maison étaient délicieux. Place de parking réservée à l'entrée et eau fraîche potable a volonté. Climatisation. Nous étions restés 3 nuits et serions bien restés plus ! A faire absolument.

• Asi (9/5): - This is a brand-new place that perfectly captures the charm and spirit of a traditional home in a picturesque, historic neighborhood. The house is full of character and beauty. The host is wonderful – despite speaking little English, she communicates remarkably well and helped us with restaurant recommendations and any request we had. The location is excellent – just a short walk to the old town – and breakfast is served in a small, traditional dining room. Everything is fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. The entire property is spotless, sparkling clean, and well maintained. Parking is available, and the rooms offer a stunning view. Don’t be worried about the narrow alleys when arriving – they are part of the charm and lead you right to this lovely place. Pros: • Perfect combination of new comfort and traditional charm • Close to the old town and main attractions • Delicious, fresh breakfast • Extremely clean and well kept • Wonderful host who is always happy to help • On-site parking and great views from the rooms Cons: • The bathroom is very small, with no rain shower head • No balcony for enjoying the view, unlike some similar properties • Breakfast is not served outdoors • No elevator, and the stairs are narrow with several floors to climb (we knew this in advance, so it was fine for us) Overall, a delightful stay in a beautiful home with a fantastic location, a truly charming atmosphere, and a host who makes you feel genuinely welcome.

• Devashish Shivamraj (10/5): - Our stay at Hotel Argyropolis was absolutely wonderful! Tatiana made us feel right at home with her warm and welcoming hospitality. The room was very clean and the homemade breakfast every morning was delicious. The location is also perfect walking distance from the city centre and main sightseeing spots in the city such as the castle. Overall, we definitely recommend staying here for a relaxing and convenient stay in Gjirokastër!

• Rena (10/5): Wie ein Besuch bei Freunden. - Das Hotel ist winzig klein und liegt perfekt in der Innenstadt, man erreicht alles Sehenswürdigkeiten in nur 5 Minuten und es ist in einem historischen wunderschönen renoviertem historischen Gebäude untergebracht. Die Hotelbesitzerin verwöhnt einem und gibt einem das Gefühl, willkommen zu sein. Sie macht einem ein hervorragendes liebevolles Frühstück am Folgen morgen und ist mit ganzem Herzen dabei. Gar nichts, alles war perfekt. Ich würde jederzeit wieder dort hingehen.

Un établissement et chambre magnifique : tout est décoré avec soin ! Le petit déjeuner est copieux, fait maison ey de qualité ! Emplacement idéal à quelques minutes des principaux lieux de visites. Plage pour se garer directement devant l’établissement, on recommande fortement ! Possible de payer par carte ou en cash ! Rien !

• Mindy (10/5): Wonderful stay: Beautiful property, great location, the best host! - We loved our stay at Argyropolis Hotel in Gjirokastër! The house itself is stunning—full of historic charm, and beautifully maintained. The location is ideal, just a short walk to everything, but still very peaceful and quiet. What truly made our visit special was our host, Tatiana. She is kind, caring and thoughtful. She is one of those special people that puts you at ease and makes you feel like a welcomed, treasured guest. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel completely at home. Every morning, she prepared a delicious homemade breakfast with fresh, local ingredients— so YUMMY! Also her recommendations were excellent so ask her where to eat and attractions to visit. Staying here felt like staying with family. We can’t recommend Argyropolis Hotel enough, and we’ll definitely return. Make sure to follow her directions and don’t trust Google Maps! Not applicable!

• Bos (10/5): Fantastische hotel en gastvrouw - Enorm lieve gastvrouw, gastvrouw sprak niet goed Engels maar deed erg haar best om met ons te communiceren. Gastvrouw heeft erg haar best gedaan om het ons helemaal naar onze zin te maken. Hele gezellige kamer op een top locatie. Ontbijt was erg uitgebreid en lekker.

• Paulien (10/5): Zalige overnachting! - De locatie van het hotel is heel goed. Het is op wandelafstand van het levendige centrum van Gjirokastër. De inrichting van de kamer is zeer mooi! Alles fijn afgewerkt en in orde! Zeer proper en hygiënisch. Het personeel was de kers op de taart! We werden zeer hartelijk ontvangen en geholpen door T. Ze hielp ons met routebeschrijvingen en restaurant-tips! Een zalige ervaring! -

Acqua sempre disponibile presso la reception è parcheggio auto riservato. Il personale è super, Tatiana è una persona deliziosa disponibile, cordiale e molto simpatica, sempre sorridente, ci ha consigliato cosa andare a visitare e dove mangiare.

• Lotte (10/5): - Albanië is hèt land van de gastvrijheid. We zijn nu een week onderweg en alleen maar hartelijkheid en liefde. Argyropolis hotel doet het in de overtreffende trap. Al in heel veel landen geweest, maar hier is gastvrouwschap tot in het ultieme uitgevoerd. Kamers zijn top, ontbijt heerlijk met zelfgebakken lekkernijen. Locatie prima, met alles op loopafstand en niet al teveel klimmen. Het voelt als thuiskomen. Met Tatjana als moeder die een goede balans vindt tussen zorgen en ruimte geven. En gewoon voor taart zorgt als mijn reisgenoot 50 wordt. Chapeau! Niets.
