The location is excellent, right in the heart of Gjirokastër, perfect for exploring the city. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious and fresh. The staff was very friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

• Stefany (10/5): Very nice hotel - It’s a charming traditional hotel in the heart of the old town, just a 2-minute walk from public parking. The room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, with an updated bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. It was all good.
• Rudin (10/5): Excellent location, amazing staff, traditional comfy setting. - Excellent staff, great location, amazing value for money. Great breakfast included in the price. Very convenient underground parking 100m away, (aprox 4 euros for 24hr.) Highly recommended. Nothing comes to mind.

Nice little balcony for the room. We found a convenient private parking nearby Air conditioning failed in two rooms and did not go lower than 28°C the whole night.

However we got lucky, if you can choose room 101 a mock up of a traditional Albanian bedroom complete with funicular fire place elaborate wood carvings and painted wooden ceilings Quiet and very good breakfast Old town is closed to traffic after 10am trundle suitcases to Capuji square

• Fiona (3/5): Very disappointing - We booked two double rooms, both of which were meant to have a large double bed and a sofa bed and a balcony, and were meant to be sound-proofed. When we were arrived we were given double rooms each of which had a small double bed and only one had a sofa bed - not enough beds for our group of 6. The rooms also did not have balconies. The owner said it was the fault of booking.com - who did not reply to our messages. He said this had happened before - including that day, something about him expecting them to need one room but they were expecting free. I don’t know if because we arrived late in the day, the bigger doubles we had booked were given to unexpected guests but it was pretty frustrating. The rooms were not sound-proofed at all and overlook an incredibly noisy bar and the music went on until about one in the morning and drunk people were talking very loudly outside until 2am. Breakfast wasn’t great. Also, it’s worth noting that it is not a hotel - it is rooms with a pub next door. No sign of the lounge we saw advertised.
• Meryem (7/5): it's ok for short stays - Staff was smiley and very helpful at the hotel. They prepared a nice breakfast for us for the requested time which was earlier than their standard breakfast time. Staff helped to carry my luggage to the room and also helped after check-out to carry close to our car due to stone streets. Reception being the pub was a bit weird. Smoking is allowed indoors which was very uncomfortable for me. I wouldn't sit in that area under heavy smoke. This shouldn't be allowed. Same in the breakfast time. i had to leave main door open to get fresh air which wasn't always welcomed. The room was very cold due to no central heating. The bedding was old and general dusting needs to be done.
• Kristina (6/5): An adventure but we had a lot of fun and bonding complaining so overall good. - The customer service was really good, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They opened breakfast earlier for us to accommodate our schedules and also did not charge us for anything additional we got even though they were not included in the breakfast or hotel price. The hotel was not what we were expecting. The rooms were okay, however it felt like they were not prepared to have guests in the hotel and the hotel seemed closed and cold when we arrived, probably because it was out of season. Also, we had to go have breakfast at a coffee shop-bar next to the hotel which was not great because smoking was allowed inside and the place reeked smoke. The rooms sheets seemed not that clean. However, the bathroom looked very clean and there was warm water which was good.

Some of the rooms in the pictures are absolutely beautiful, ours was pretty basic but with some traditional elements. Probably we just didnt check well enough exactly what the room we booked was gonna look like, but nevertheless we had higher expectations than what we recieved

• Karin (8/5): Very good - The room is in a traditional house - really beautiful, even with a small balcony. It is located in the very center of the city which is an advantage, but it is also surrounded by a lot of bars and restaurants which means noise until midnight. The area is a nightlife district and the windows are not soundproof at all. So if you enjoy loud music until midnight, this is the place for you, if you prefer a calm accommodation choose a different one. There should also be a note in the description of the hotel how to approach it by car (you easily get lost in the narrow streets) and where to park the car.

• Therese (4/5): Disappointed - The room was modern and comfortable, breakfast was good. It’s not traditional at all and is not the cozy traditional guesthouse as advertised. The rooms are located above a bar, which is where the breakfast is served. There is loud music until about midnight and drunk people and/or workers who are cleaning up after that keeping the noise going longer, which is well heard in the rooms facing the street even with the windows closed. The hospitality was also very disappointing.

Room was more of a standard hotel room, rather than something more traditional as I was expecting based on the photos and description, but the nice little balcony kind of compensated it. Room was clean and the mattress was brand new and really comfortable.
