- Heidi (7/5): It was convenient and comfortable! - Location was convenient. The bed was only made up with one sheet - it was not a fitted sheet and it didn't even cover the mattress cover....so it pulled down and moved during the night.
Also with only the very thick duvet - it was too hot for a comfortable nights sleep.. it was either get too hot with the duvet or get cold without it.
In summer in RSA it is way too hot to have the duvet.
Having 2 sheets (bottom and top) would go some way to helping - I realise it is a lot more laundry.
Or else having a blanket so that one could take off the duvet and use only the blanket if necessary.

- Johsnton (8/5): - Easy to check in and out, location perfect. No onsite restaurant, but this isn't a big deal, just would be nice to get a coffee in the morning close by
- Ian (10/5): Always an enjoyable stay, and I look forward to my next trip to Johannesburg. - The tuc tuc that provides consistently lovely coffee! The rooms are predictable but comfortable and welcoming. And the staff members are always fantastic! It would be nice to have a breakfast option, even if this means migrating over to Southern Sun in the morning. The addition of meals in the room is very welcome.
- Sylvia (8/5): Value for money - Small space but with all the necessities Room 214 marylins photo is upside down...nowhere to lay my bag down
- Renaldo (9/5): -
- Gillian (8/5): -
- Tazzy M (8/5): - The hotel was neat and modern. The staff were welcoming and friendly. It is exactly what we required for a short term stay.
- MARIANNE (9/5): Perfect and reasonably priced overnight venue when going to the theatre at Monte Casino - Proximity to Monte Casino. Two good-sized beds, quiet. Bath towels small
- Jacques Conradie (10/5): -
- Conrad (1/5): Worst hotel experience ever. Parking is a total disaster. - Location Lady security guard at entrance parking was rude, aggressive and unprofessional. Hotel has a drive through luggage drop-off concept and parking bays. Yet the guard insists you park your car in the drive through, check-in & take your bags to your room. This causes traffic jams for cars after you. Bathroom extractor fan doesn’t work.
No iron in room. You have to fetch the iron & ironing board from reception. They have wired the iron to the board for anti-theft purposes making it difficult to carry & impossible to fill the iron with water at a basin.
- burnice (8/5): for a 2 night stage a women on her own it was OK - no meals included, one negative, there wa a rock concert going on located next to the hotel, noise and vibrations for the thump, thump all evening was not good answer above

- Bezuidenhout (9/5): Great value for money! - Close to everything! Neat and clean! Bedding is great quality! Could atleast offer a free bottle of water in the rooms.

- Anneke (10/5): A place where we can't wait to stay again. It always feels like we are on a holiday - The friendliness of the staff and the cleanness of the rooms.
We loved the beds. So, comfortable.
Rooms are kept in a good condition and every electrical equipment worked.
It's our third time at this hotel and will always choose the hotel.
We can't wait for November 2026 when we are going to book again. This is a question I can't answer because we only received excellent service.

- NICOLE (7/5): Nice but extremely compact. - I loved the arty spacious feel when you entered the hotel. Little details were delightful. Really quirky and interesting. The rooms were tiny. No space for luggage or movement. I would have like a bedside table. No elevator and our room was on the third floor...
- Benhardt (8/5): Nice stay - Location Na

- Sailor 3 (10/5): - The hotel looks great, thoughtfully decorated, the whole team is pleasant, warm and welcoming, and it smells really good. Loved the location, being able to walk from the hotel to the casino was great and having the Gautrain bus stop at the casino makes it easy to travel to Sandton CBD. Lonehill is a great safe neighborhood for safely walking and jogging throughout the day with friendly people. Checking out.
- Richard (8/5): - Location WiFi was in and out. We have stayed before without any issues?
- Steve (7/5): - Great location and parking Room originally allocated stank of cigarette smoke! Still no toilet brush provided

- Swart (10/5): The hotel was 10/10. The unconsidereted guest 0. - The hotel was excellant, but the people stayed in the hotel that knight was terribkr. Ladies laughing loud, slsmbing doirs at 03.00 in the morning. Drunk. The people in the room on top of us was making bang sounds all through the night. We did not sleep at all. We other wise gad a beautiful stag in the hotel. The guest according to me was under the influence of liqour. Sleepless night The guest not taking other people into consideration. We were 2 elderly persons.
- Botha (1/5): - They said they didn't receive my booking.
Had to go to another hotel
- Pool (7/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): was my wife's birthday so she really enjoyed it ...thank you - the place was perfect, walking distance to everything, staff very friendly ...wish there was a lift, my wife suffers with knees, so it was a little hard for her to walk up the stairs. But other than that, it was awesome thank you. No lift
- Webb (10/5): -
- saiera (5/5): Transactional and unfriendly - The accessibility and convenience to the restaurants. I arrived at the hotel at approximately 7:00 p.m. The receptionist on duty was on the telephone and did not acknowledge me or make eye contact. He remained on the call for about five minutes without greeting me. When I eventually greeted him, he responded with a brief “hi,” but continued his conversation on the phone, leaving me standing in awkward silence.
He then reached for another telephone, where he presumably contacted another staff member, as he spoke to the other in his own vernacular and not English. A second staff member arrived and completed my check-in. His instructions regarding parking and luggage offloading were rushed and mumbled, making them difficult to follow. He mentioned that the hotel offered accommodation only and did not serve food, but failed to explain that meals could be ordered as there was a food menu in the room.
Communication with reception was limited to a WhatsApp line, as there was no in-room telephone. This meant that if a guest’s cellphone was unavailable, there was no way to reach reception.
When providing the Wi-Fi details, the receptionist provided the code but did not clarify whether the username and password were a single word or two separate words. Only after being asked did he confirm it was one word.
Overall, it was clear that service was not a priority. The experience felt transactional rather than welcoming, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a warm, hospitable stay.

- Griesel (10/5): - Good location ,walkin distance to the Theater and Casino. No porter is available for luggage - there isn't a lift, and we stayed on the 3rd floor. No problem if you are healthy and in good shape, not so nice if you are old and pregnant.
- Ramdheen (10/5): -
- Lorraine (9/5): Perfect stopover after a show - Perfect location after a show
- Johan (7/5): - Close to our venue we wanted to see Arrival and booking in caused frustration
Uber driver got angry because my car was parked at the entrance where it was indicated by hotel staff to park... get sufficient bypass or make an alternative arrangement for hotel guests to park
Aircon in room was noisy... requested another room which was not much better.
When booking please mention there is a busy road next to some of the rooms and provide option to select room away from the road.

- Nadia (8/5): Was beautiful and comfortable. - There was no breakfast. Location was amazing loved the fact that we could walk straight to the food court at Monte It' not really something the hotel can control. But around 3AM the guests were loud and kept knocking on the door of their room and it felt like it was our room. the hall way and doors didn't seem sound proof.
- Premla (6/5): Overall it was good - Pleasant stay . We had to ask for shower caps n also only 2 milk n teas were given .
1 front end staff at reception was unpleasant in the late afternoon. Needs to be more friendly. No smile or warm reception.
Check in staff were really friendly
