Guest Reviews
- Maritess (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gwyn (9/5): Superb -
- Claire (8/5): Very good - The value for money was all there, from the large bathroom with a spa tub to extra bathroom amenities.
The cleaning services and breakfast brought to you room is also very convenient.
Both my husband and I felt this hotel was one of the best overall that we stayed at during our trip. The area it's in is a red light area, but it's a very short walk from the metro stop and no one bothers you.
The overall location to popular spots is Ikebukuro is fantastic considering the price.
- Florence (8/5): Nice stay with a baby - Nice location, friendly staff.
Confortable bed. Molds in the bathroom.
- Catalina (8/5): Great location with fantastic toiletries, but rooms smell like cigarettes - Great location, very close to Ilebukoro station. The room had a wide selection of toiletries, we were really impressed with the shampoo bar in the reception. The rooms smelled like cigarettes.
- ピョーピェ (7/5): Good -
- Andreia (2/5): Very poor - Location convenience only Terrible breakfast
Window shutters that totally block the light making the room a total bunker - heavy air with no ventilation
No one at the front desk speaks English basics. Only one of the reception girls was nice.
Terrible pillows
- Serif (8/5): Very good -
- Frankie (7/5): Good -
- Mario (9/5): Great value for money, large room and convenient location - Convenient location just a few minutes' walk from Ikebukuro Station. Room is large, especially by Tokyo standards, and was perfectly clean. Comfy bed. Great value for money.
- Jia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shion (9/5): Superb -
- Shion (8/5): Very good -
- Dragos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eiko (9/5): Superb -
- Chong (10/5): Good budget place at Ikebukuro - Perfect location nearby Ikebukuro station. The staff were unable to communicate in English. However they are more than helpful and we could communicate via Google translate. This place is a love hotel thus not suitable for families with kids. Perfect for couples and solo travellers. The room has complete amenities. They offer breakfast to the room too.
- Bhagavati (6/5): Over all it was ok - Location Non English speaking staff. They should be able to speak at least basic English as Tokyo is a tourist place. People come from all over the world
- Olga (10/5): Exceptional -
- Oei (9/5): Superb -
- Benjawan (8/5): Very good -
- Esther (9/5): Superb -
- Hill (5/5): I mean pros and cons - Very close to station and night life establishments. Decore was not to my taste and the room wasn't particularly ”clean.” Probably more old than unclean to be fair but.
- Shwe (7/5): Good -
- Saralk258 (10/5): a good hotel - good place check and nice staff
- Lorena (10/5): The property is close to public transportation (Ikebukuro station) the staff is friendly and they have room service brea - The property is close to public transportation (Ikebukuro station) the staff is friendly and they have room service breakfast available. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom even more so. What surprised us is the fact that they offer free water bottles. They also have good quality products from Keune (a Japanese brand that is on the market since 120 years) I wish there was more storage option for clothes. Specifically to be able to open the wooden support from under the TV.
- Marcel (9/5): Superb - There were so many free things to use! Free pyjamas free toothbrushes and much much more. Our room also had an amazing whirlpool bath that was very nice.
In the comments I read that people found the staff rude, but that's not the case at all. They're really friendly even though they cannot speak English. Google translate does a lot There was no window which messed our sense off time up.
Also beware people with kids this is indeed a love hotel, if you're not comfortable with that better stay away
- Pao (10/5): Exceptional -
- Enkhbayar (3/5): Poor - . .
- Stuart (7/5): If you're okay with it being a love hotel, it's good. - Of all the hotels I've stayed in during my time in Japan, this had the biggest room by far. They also provided a lot of amenities, including lots of bottles of water, and you could get a free breakfast (which I never took advantage of). There was a jacuzzi bath and a huge TV, alongside the ability to connect your phone up to Bluetooth speakers in the room. The windows are shuttered, but I was able to open mine and get a bit of natural light in. Finally, the location is good, not too far away from the station and with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. It's a love hotel. If you're a family, or maybe even a woman or someone a bit anxious travelling alone, it's probably not for you. The wider area is fine, but the immediate area around the hotel is a bit shady (although this is Japan shady, so it's not too bad). Plus, while the room is setup to look fancy, it is a bit shabby around the edges. My bidet didn't work and there was a lot of stuff that is desperately in need of a refresh. You could also hear people coming and going during the night for obvious reasons.

- Cian (7/5): Good -
- Dannyhdzb (6/5): Pleasant - Close to Ikebukuro Station The room had a terrible smell of cigarettes
- Bina (8/5): Very good - Cleanliness and good amenities . We stayed 3 nights ..
First 2 nights staff was good but the last day staff was so rude .
- Hoà (8/5): Very good. - Very near the Ilebukuro station. The staffs is very friendly and the facility very good. Nothing actually.
- Christina (9/5): Value for money - Complimentary with fresh make breakfast
Very convenient location Lack of places/hanger to hang the clothes & towel,
Do not provide cotton buds
- 婧辰 (8/5): Very good -
- Aung (7/5): Good -
- Matteo (10/5): Exceptional - Not only a love hotel, we found ourselves loving the staying in this hotel.
The position is great (5 minutes from ikebukuro station), the room was big enough to host 2 people and 4 luggages. Big and clean bathroom, well furnished. The only window was covered by a panel, which leads to complete lack of natural light on the room.
The breakfast was only salty, no sweet option available.
- Paolo (5/5): Passable -
- George (8/5): Very good -
- Dilan (9/5): Superb -
- Warren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kenneth (8/5): Very good - The hotel is clean and comfortable.
- Jay (8/5): Very good -
- Kyaw (10/5): Exceptional -
- Meghan (7/5): Good - large room, lots of bathroom amenities, nice receptionist, yummy free breakfast, free soda in lobby hard to communicate with staff using english, felt a little questionable about cleanliness
- Fabiola (9/5): Superb -
- Naing (5/5): Passable -
- Audentia (7/5): Good -
- Esin (8/5): Good for couples - The hotel is really close to the Ikebukuro station, exit C3. The room wasn't large but it was actually quite comfortable with a sofa on the corner. There are a lot of skin and haircare products available and it was really nice. Breakfast is also included and we really liked the croissant. The area is pretty famous for love hotels and some dodgy bars but if someone bothers you, you can just walk away and nobody will pursue you. If you're around the hotel during the day, you will definitely hear some of the couples using the 2h stay. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to a family with children 😬 Also most staff members were really rude to us for no reason... I can't chalk it up to "lost in translation" as one of us is a Japanese speaker. They were just unpleasant.
- Selin (7/5): Good - Breakfast is excellent. Close to Ikebukuro stations. One of the lady in the reception is so kind also housekeeping also amazing very lovely people. But there is one girl who is possibly doesnt like people in general and work with the hospitality industry.
- Duc (8/5): Would recommend 100% - I liked that you receive beauty products at your arrival! I got oil for my hair.
The bathroom was japanese style and it's so nice to be able to take a good shower just before jumping on the bath.
The breakfast menu might be small but the room service is fast and the food was good. I forgot a precious object when I left and they didn't find it or give back... even if it was quite visible on the nightstand :(
- Andre (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dayan (8/5): Very good -
- Jacob (7/5): Good -
- Artur (8/5): Great value for money as a place to sleep - I think this hotel is a good bargain for international tourists, its cheap and it has everything you need if you only plan to sleep there. The room we stayed at had no windows (was fine with us), it had A/C and the bathroom even had a jacuzzi in it. The breakfast is quite limited so I suggest you eat elsewhere unless you are on a budget. I think this hotel is generally used for one night stands and such but that doesn't mean you shouldn't stay there. We didn't hear any noises and in fact quite enjoyed the stay price/value wise. It's not far away from the metro too. The staff doesn't speak English but they have some cards translated to English with their food options etc, As long as you have google translate or equivalent you are all good. I didn't have many expectations for this place and they actually exceeded them by a large margin. Big thank you for all the hotel staff!
- Jayden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vichien (8/5): Very good - Breakfast only average and location little far from station Service mind and training English speaking
- Norman (8/5): Very good -
- Aleksandra (8/5): Very good -
- Johan (6/5): Pleasant - Good location The first room we got was a smoking room, really not nice, but we asked to change and they gave us a better room.
- Alex (7/5): Good -
- Wafa (8/5): We were content with our stay, well be sure to repeat again next time. - Property was fully equipped, whatever you want, they have it, from ironing equipment to massaging machine . They had Bluetooth speakers and even dvd player. Their breakfast was delicious. Their room was quite spacious compared to other hotel, and the bubble bathtub , that was a cherry on top for our stay. We would very much love to repeat next time. We didn’t know it was a love hotel at first cause it didnt really said anything in the website , but if you passed that fact, everything seems pleasant. There was no weird noises or encounters. I assume the wall was thick “enough” wink² . Other than that Communication is quite difficult if youre hoping a response. Just give a yes and no question , and youre golden.
- Alcantara (7/5): Good -
- Evgeniia (10/5): It was very comfortable, very close to station , around have many necessary shops and cafes - Wet friendly staff , big space in bath and wide bed 👍 clean
- イアン (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vidhita (2/5): Very poor -
- Andrew (3/5): Poor - Not worth for the price
- Josepearl (9/5): Superb -
- Bojan (8/5): Very good -
- Shaun (1/5): Bad -
- Donna (9/5): Great hotel - The room is large enough and well-equipped. The bathroom amenities and toiletries are superb. They even provided various skin care products and a bubble bath. Drinking water is provided abundantly. The lighting controls are located at the bed headboard. I will surely recommend this hotel to all my acquaintances! Difficult to communicate with the staff. Very limitted choices for breakfast, we end up ordering the same one four times, but it is satisfying.
- Giselle (5/5): Passable - Loved the provided toiletries and also the Bluetooth in rooms. Smaller space than pictured, the bed was AWFUL. Super hard and just uncomfortably springy. One pillow each.
- Chathu (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jenifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chester (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roger (5/5): Convenient, but there are better places to stay. - The room is relatively big for Japan. The bathroom is also a good size. Lots of amenities. Big size TV and interesting lighting plus a sofa. Pretty comfortable, but no view. They did not provide breakfast one day. The other day they brought a small snack to the room. It is by no means what most people imagine as a breakfast. Also, it is a love hotel. Location is near the station, but you have to walk past the night workers on the street to get there. Exciting for some, but it's not for everyone.
- Kevin (7/5): Good -
- Jacinda (8/5): Very convenient stay - This place offered a lot of free services: there were free soft drinks, coffee, and drinks downstairs, as well as an additional range of shampoo and conditioners to choose from. The cleaning service was offered daily, so we could get the towels replaced and everything restocked. There was free breakfast delivered to our room at a time between 7am-11am.
I liked how the rooms have blackout windows so we could relax after a long day of travel. The water pressure was amazing, and we could have a bubble bath.
The location was very convenient!
It was very comfortable to stay here. Some places were a bit dusty and we found some rubbish that had been missed in the cleaning..

- Stewart (5/5): If you understand its a love hotel then actually its a fairly great place. Otherwise don't come here - Good size room, lots of free toiletries, spacious bath, large TV, free water bottles. Good hot water that comes fast. Generally great water pressure.
Staff were very helpful. Soft bed and nice pillows. Free drink on arrival It's a love hotel and we didn't realise that until we got there. It does show in the pictures of the place but its not really in the description.
The room with the bath had a hot tap that would always trickle and couldn't be turned off fully. The bathroom smells of damp really badly and the window sill is not clean. The window has rust on it from where the mirror surface has peeled off.
The mattress topper underneath the top sheet is stained yellow and is really nasty to look at if the top sheet comes off. The entrance to our room 603 was really small. We didn't have enough room to take our shoes.
The hotel has a really ugly picture of some fat men doing burlesque in the elevator and it just looks so bad.
The area is a red light district so there's all sorts of sketchy stuff around.
- Yuki (2/5): Very poor -
- Linh (1/5): Bad - Everything is good except your TERRIBLE male staff's service on May 12. I went shopping and had lots of heavy stuffs. My friends helped me to bring my stuffs to my room. But your staff had terrible service and try to kick my friends out of the hotel. He even did not show his face when he talked. His attitude was VERY TERRIBlE, IMPOLITE, and made so so ashamed with my friends. There were not any rules written in the booking saying that the hotel does not allow a friend'a help to carry things into the room. I already explained that my friends just came to help, but he did try to kick my friends out of the hotel AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Everything is good but only a terrible service of one staff can ruin all good things. I feel very disappointed about the service and decided to give you 1 star evaluation.
- Leigh (4/5): Disappointing -
- Phyo (8/5): Very good -
- Николай (6/5): Pleasant -
- Florian (8/5): Very good -
- Cin (7/5): Large room with couch and big bathroom in good location - The hotel is fairly easy to find and in a good location near an area with loads of restaurants and cafes. Its a bit of a walk from Ikebukero station but most of its undercover subway so its easy to access. Its worth mentioning that Hotel Q is a 'rent by the hour' (also known as a love motel) but it is friendly and comfortable and feels safe not seedy. While admittedly not perfect, the room overall was very spacious and is fitting to be called an apartment, as it has a separate large bathing room and toilet. Huge bed, a couch to lounge in, you might also get a balcony. Only 4 stops to shinjuku, which is handy. After having stayed in extremely tiny hotels and capsule rooms, the spaciousness was luxury and perfect for sorting out luggage before we left Japan. The hotel is a bit dated and worn, facilities are a little 'tired' and not perfectly clean. This would be expected as being a rent by the hour it gets more daily use but overall everything worked very well, and it was clean and tidy if perhaps, not quite perfect. Oh, don't push the buttons in the bar fridge as these cause you to ring up a 'drink charge' even if you don't take the drink out. We managed to avoid the charge but do read out loud the sign that says DONT PUSH THE BUTTONS and make sure your spouse hears... :)
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb - complete amenities with free breakfast
- Mei (7/5): Good -
- Jyoti (8/5): Very good -
- Cerda-carvajal (9/5): Superb - Was confused at first, thought it was a standard hotel, then quickly realised it wasnt. But then again the service was good and was very spacious for tokyo and the price. Turned out to be a great stay! A little dated and the bed and pillows a little too stiff
