- mariana (6/5): Correct - Location close to the subway is great for the exhausted feet. Personnel at the reception is courteous. The space is tight for someone coming from the west. There is no closet. Having said that, the double height makes it comfortable to sleep in. The lower beds have a very low ceiling, so you need to be careful when waking up.
- Elizabeth (9/5): -
- Rachida (8/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): - Location to RYOGOKU subway, clean and modern.
Wonderful staff, and extremely helpful
- Erica (2/5): - Extremely poor service, particularly from the receptionist who was very rude and unwelcoming. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone, please consider carefully if you are thinking about staying at this hotel.
- Joana (7/5): -
- William (9/5): - Spacious and clean room and modern, very kind and helpful staff, close to subway and family mart. Cheap wending machine in the lobby with drinks It was a bit thin walls so you have to be a bit more quiet to not disturb the other guests
- james (9/5): Very enjoyable stay. Staff very helpful and thoughtful. - Really enjoyed the design of the hotel. Peaceful location and close to subway station. Couldn’t quite get used to the low headroom over the sleeping platform. Would have liked a cafe facility in the lobby.
- Sonia (8/5): Lovely neighbourhood - Comfortable room with additional space, ideal for our family of 4 staying 6 nights. Great access to trains, close to the sumo tournament and a lovely neighbourhood. Washing machine available at hotel. The loft style beds may not suit everyone. Neither sleeping area had ceilings high enough to stand up, and the top level was very creaky when climbing stairs and walking to beds. But this layout created additional space in the room and worked our family.
- Verity (7/5): - It was clean

- Shane (10/5): Great location, quiet had everything we required, yes we would come back again - Quiet, Great shower, comfortable beds, clean, Convenience Stores nearby, 5 minute walk to a nice bakery. Close to JR Station (10 minute walk), which had great options for Food, Lovely Fresh Udon Noodles, Ramen N/A
- Susannah (9/5): - Good location for us as a family of four. Close to transport, loved the autumn leaves and colours around the area. Quiet, peaceful, enjoyed the 4 beds for a bit of space and the kids loved the bunks. Friendly staff. Room is a little bit dark even with lights on and window shades open.

寛ぎスペースが少し狭い。

- Corina (4/5): Quiet area but not for us as it was far from subway access - Quiet neighborhood. Not enough towels, we had to go downstairs to get amenities, the sounds outside were loud when people walked by, the kitchen didn’t have any cutlery so it would not have been useful at all. We got in trouble playing quiet music while packing. The washroom was not as clean as other hotels we stayed in. Ceilings are low for the rooms- if you are taller I don’t recommend these types of rooms. The staff lady was rude to us for some reason. Far from subway ie. 15+ min walk.
- Youngbin (9/5): -
- Keith (8/5): - Nice staff and location Nice room
- Anh (4/5): - None The unit is very dirty, especially bathroom not only dirty but also has very bad smell. I don’t think the cleaner did a good job on cleaning. The location is out of no where. In the description mentioned washing machine but there’s no washing machine in the room. They should listed as communal washing machine (coin machine) to avoid misunderstanding.
- Fabian (9/5): - L'emplacement juste à côté d'un joli temple et du métro.
Calme et confortable.

- Cheryl (9/5): Lovely new hotel in a quiet yet convenient location - The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet area. Nearby there are incredible restaurants and a great supermarket, and it is a 5 minute walk to Ryogoku train station. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are modern and we liked the split level set-up as we travelled with our toddler and my elderly mother. Our only small notes are we felt that the cleaners needed to dust the room more as it was very dusty when we checked in, and that the cups should be provided in the room and not at the front desk, as these were not available when we checked in but were on offer the following day when we had already purchased cups to use. We also understand that hotel sizes in Tokyo are quite compact as we have stayed in other hotels in the city before, but if you are over 6 feet tall you may find the sleeping areas challenging. We were able to manage this, but just a note for taller people when booking a stay here. Otherwise, we really loved our stay, and will hopefully book a stay here the next time we’re in Tokyo.
- Amanda (10/5): Excellent - This accomodation was excellent. Excellent location and perfect for a family of 3, we absolutely loved our stay here 🙂

- Kiri (8/5): - We loved the location. Sumo training area, so very quiet and authentic area with some lovely traditional restaurants. We saw the occasional sumo wrestler walking around. This is a quiter area, but we liked that for the start of our trip while we adjusted. Easy metro links, but it is slightly further out. Easy to get trains into major tourist areas. Rooms smaller than expected, but did fit for of us (2 x teenagers)

- Staples (10/5): Amazing place to stay - we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. - The location worked extremely well for us as a family of four. The train station is a 5 minute walk and it is so quick and easy to jump on the lines and head into Shibuya, Shinjuku, Tokyo, Akihabara, Ginza etc. We loved that it wasn’t right in the hustle and bustle of the city as it was a nice quiet area at night. Family Mart was around the corner too and 711 just down the road. Staff were great and very friendly. We were overall very pleased and are so glad we have booked to come back and stay there in another 5 days time. There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Thought it was a great spot.

- kay (7/5): Great stay in a superb location close to transport . - Great location. Family friendly.
Modern living space. On the photos a coffee area was pictured in the lobby. This wasn’t there and seemed replaced by washing cleaning area.

- Karlijn (10/5): Goede plek!
Echt super! Niets! Alles was goed!
- David (8/5): Comfortable and well-located accommodation. - Location and very nice staff. A well-designed space for 4 people. Just minor things. We noticed some of the sockets didn’t seem to work (the USB ones). It would be useful to have a little washing-up liquid (I’m not sure if that’s something you need to ask for, like cutlery and plates, cups, etc.). Instructions in English for the drier like you have for the washing machine would be helpful. Otherwise, that’s it! Everything else was great!
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Duarte (10/5): Simply perfect - The room was comfortable and perfect for recovering from a long day. Beds super comfy and the AC was a must. The staff members were super, SU-PER friendly and helpful. Went over and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Super recommended. Would go to Arcsens again without thinking twice.
- Michelle (8/5): Quieter, family friendly modern hotel - Travelled with a family of four and found the hotel staff at Arcsens to be excellent. They spoke English and were very helpful, even booking us a restaurant when we needed to make phone only booking.
The bathroom was clean, rain shower head was sensational. Beds were comfortable and linen; hotel quality. Air conditioning required to keep the heat down and this worked well. Despite being “Tokyo tiny” size we had enough space to store our belongings and have space to sit on the couch. Just beware of hitting your head on the loft ceiling bedroom! Stairs to get to the loft bedroom were fine. The kitchen lacked utensils and dish cleaning supplies but these were accessible when I asked for utensils from the staff who kindly provided. Overall a lovely modern, clean comfortable sound proof hotel room in a quiet area with heaps of local restaurants to go to and very close to the train and convenience stores. No dish cleaning supplies nor rack in kitchen
- Eva (9/5): Superb -
- Stuart (9/5): Superb -
- Ty (8/5): Great place to say. - Clean, location, & front staff very friendly.
Able to exchange towels was great. No complaints
- Ayaka (8/5): Very good -
- Belinda (4/5): Disappointing -
- Wei (9/5): Nice place to stay - Peaceful neighbourhood, near to combinis, staff was very helpful! Shower room is spacious too
- Andres (9/5): Superb -
- Alexandra (10/5): Exceptional - Room was very clean and staff was so friendly! Hotel is in an excellent location and staff is very accommodating! My only downside is I wish there was a rail to hold when going down the stairs and they felt a little precarious to go down.
- Marcus (7/5): Good -
- Travis (8/5): Lovely Room with Access to the City - Very modern rooms with nearby access to train stations, konbinis, and more. The area is adjacent to Akihabara which was just a short train ride away. The room was small for four people so be aware you will need to do some Tetris to make things work with luggage.
- Kevin (9/5): Superb -
- Viviane (7/5): Good -
- Moore (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Norman (9/5): Superb -

- Peter (9/5): Excellent nook near Ryogoku station - Very convenient location in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of nearby amenities. Comparatively spacious for multiple travellers. Cool space layout. Heating element was a little out of place given the lack of cooking utensils, would be more helpful to have a microwave or toaster, but otherwise no issues!
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (9/5): Nice quiet boutique hotel - Quiet location in a residential area. Apartments are very solid and noise proof, we hardly heard anyone else the whole stay. Small boutique hotel good for family of 4 or group of 4. The room was very modern and the kids loved the loft style sleeping. No cutlery, chopsticks, bowls, or mugs provided. These can be borrowed but just makes sense to have a few in the room. The stove is not necessary as there is nothing to cook with. A microwave in the room would serve better.
- Katherine (10/5): Exceptional - This was our second time staying here. We love it!!!! All four of us have our own beds and it's only a five minute walk to the Sumo stadium Ryogoku . Staff are polite and helpful. They accepted our sumo tickets for us and held onto them until we arrived. Staff also allowed us to leave our luggage before check in. We will stay again. Thank you. I have nothing bad to say.
- Sarah (10/5): Lovely compact hotel in great location. Perfect for a family of 4 for an amazing stopover in Tokyo - Fantastic compact room, perfect for our family to crash in for a few days. Amazing location, kids could walk to the 7-11 for morning snacks and treats.
Very friendly English speaking staff welcomed us and gave us some local recommendations and the location was very close to the train making getting around very easy, but also walkable to a range of locations. Lovely bathroom. We had a lot of luggage due to this stay being a stopover after a long trip, so space was a bit tight when we needed to get into the suitcases. But the room was incredible value and the sleeping configuration was great. Such a good use of space.
- Liz (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and very clean.
Even have great washing machine and a dryer that dries your clothes!
- Katherine (9/5): Great place in Tokyo for families or four person groups. - Modern, cool hotel in a quiet neighborhood in Eastern Tokyo. Great to find a place that could accommodate our family of four (parents/two teenagers) in one room. Very friendly staff. Great to have a mini kitchen as well. Overall hotel was great. The ceilings are a little low in the sleeping areas but the staff warned us about that so it wasn't unexpected and the design really made the most of the space.
- Sarah (5/5): Passable - The staff were friendly and helpful and it was as stated in a nice quiet neighbourhood. Easy access from the train station, with clear instructions given at the time of booking. The room itself was a good size, however pretty tight for 2 adults and 2 kids in terms of living space. The bathroom was small also. We requested extra pillows but they did not have spares, which was disappointing. We felt it was quite expensive compared to others we stayed at that were more centrally located and bigger.
- Zachary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yasmin (10/5): Amazing place for a group of people for a short stay - Everything was wonderful. It was clean central and fitted us really well, staff were helpful when needed. Fantastic place would use it again
- Nathaniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yoko (8/5): Very good -
- Kwan (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, compact, close to train, quiet neighborhood, super nice staff, very well organized info package. Well, you have to separate all the trash. Don't forget that you are in Japan.
- Jon (9/5): Superb -
- Algerlynn (6/5): Pleasant - This is a quiet part of town but it worked fine for us given the activities we did during our stay. There are convenience stores right by the location and buses and subway stations that can be easily accessed. There is a pay washer/dryer in the building. There were four people in our party and not enough space for everyone to relax outside of the bedroom areas. The A/C also does not reach the "downstairs bedroom" though there is a fan in the unit that you can use in that space.
- Peggy (8/5): Very good -
- Mcleod (8/5): Very good -
- Nicole (10/5): Perfect stay for a Tokyo vacation - The location is perfect and with beautiful spots and the Sumida river nearby.
The Arcsens is modern and has all necessarities. The staff was amazing and super helpful. They also helped us and ordered a luggage service for us. The Wifi signal was a bit weak.
- Mcleod (9/5): Superb -
- Ching (10/5): Exceptional -
- Duane (7/5): Great stay minus the bathroom smell. - Location was great, clean. Luggage delivery worked well. staff recommendations were good. post bathtub and showers the bathroom had a terrible smell.
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Celeste (10/5): Convenient and comfortable - It was very clean and comfortable. The rain shower was incredible. Also very accessible - the train station was only a 6 minute walk and there were 3 convenient stores within the area. No negatives ☺️
- Will (10/5): Exceptional -
- Si (8/5): It was amazing, very worthwhile. - The beds were soft and receptionist were excellent in their conversational English skills. They were helpful in answering to all our questions. As it is bunk style for 4 pax, the platforms at the upper deck can cause quite a loud sound to the bottom deck when they are walking up and down the stairs. Perhaps adding a layer of carpet at the upper deck can help to absorb and reduce the sound.
- Cindy (7/5): Ok and pleasant overall. - It’s clean and room layout is quite unique, the location is quiet and very local. Staff is helpful and friendly. The hot water in the shower doesn’t always work and it really bothers us, it’s either too hot or complete cold water so it makes showering time quite uncertain and unpleasant.
- Mirko (8/5): Good place for a more down to earth Tokyo stay. - Modern, clean and helpful staff Location was more remote than expected.
Lacked some self service basics
- Hiu (8/5): Good choice to live in Tokyo - Very near to the subway station. Good laundry machines that help a lot. Clean and tidy. Actually area too small for 4 people. Can hear neighbour sound as the soundproof is not good.
- Cécile (8/5): Very good - The design of the room, the location. The dust in the room, really unexpected.
- Garn (8/5): Very good -
- Katherine (9/5): Superb - Lovely staff. Lovely clean rooms although small. There really isn't anything we didn't like. Really nice and clean with helpful staff.
- Joanna (8/5): Very good -
- Blanca (8/5): A small apartment suitable for a family. 10 min walking distance from JR Ryogoku. - Approx. 10 min walking distance from JR Ryogoku. A small apartment suitable for a family. The apartment had a kitchen hob so we thought we could cook, but we couldn't. There is a microwave downstairs that can be used to heat food.
- Sissel (7/5): Good -
