• Selvan (1/5): Disaster - I did not stay at premises as the room was not available despite prior booking, payment and email confirmation by Sun1. The receptionist was abrupt, not helpful and inconsiderate when I arrived to check in. I went and checked at Town Lodge next door.

• Clinton (7/5): A lovely place to stay if you require a quick clean and comfortable place. - The facility was clean and staff always willing to help. i have stayed at this particular hotel a few times and i have always enjoyed staying there. it would be nice if they offered meals, even just prepacked meals, pies, burgers etc.

• Sithole (5/5): Quiet, but disappointing. - The location was not very bad. The quietness was also nice because I got to Johannesburg late and I just need to sleep for a short while. So I managed to sleep without any disturbance The room was not what I had expected. The aircon kept on switching itself off every time I switched it on. The toilet had a weird smell, as if it was not being cleaned correctly with the right products. The cable TV I did not expect and i took an uncomfortable shower, because the shower head kept on moving. The room was extremely small for my liking.

• Amohelang (7/5): Overall, it was a pleasant and convenient stay with room for improvement. - The location was ideal for our purposes, being conveniently close to our meeting venue and situated in a safe area. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were of a good standard. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to try the breakfast. While I appreciate that the hotel is budget-friendly, our stay was affected by considerable noise from a nearby hockey group. Additionally, there was a noticeable smell of tobacco smoke coming from adjacent rooms, and the ironing facilities were inadequate.

• Lloyd (2/5): - There was a large group of youngsters who made a racket for most of the night. Shouting in the hallway etc. We barely got any sleep. We did not voice this complaint at the time as we were a little intimidated to complain as the group was very large and didnt want to be targeted after laying a formal complaint. The property itself was good and what you would expect.
