- D6751CIalia (2/5): Absolutely Awful - Do not book at this hotel at all what ever you see in website it’s not true ,hotel actually not safe and so dirty
- I243WJlaural (4/5): Do not go here!!! - The pool wasn’t open despite me asking awhile before if it was going to be open and neither was the rooftop cafe. They are advertising things that have not been open for a long time. There is no WiFi even though they advertise it. I am a solo travel and didn’t feel comfortable going outside on my own because of the location of the hotel so if I wasn’t on an excursion I was stuck in my room. There was no cups or tea/coffee provided and had to boil the kettle on the floor. In the restaurant if you are bed and breakfast they charge you for water and it is not a buffet breakfast they just bring a few things out on a plate. The food in the evening was quite nice and if you are lucky and the older guy is working he is nice and polite but everyone else is rude. I know you get what you pay for and I always go as cheap as possible so don’t expect much but this was just ridiculous.
- fionamZ2320VJ (2/5): Horrible, shabby and run down. - This hotel was very poor in that it was trading on its past glory. All the promotion photos are at least 10 yrs out of date. The decor was faded and shabby. The pool area was not accessible and looked extremely dirty . The pool had a piece of rubber or some sort of material lying on the bottom. Not conducive to swimming in it. There was one shabby dirty plastic chair by the pool. In the reception there was a banner showing photographs of the pool area with lovely deck chairs and recliners. Nothing like the reality we found. There was supposed to be a panorama bar with lovely views towards the Nile however this was not open. When asked in reception about access it was supposed to be open at 5pm but never was.
The hotel room has sliding wardrobe doors but one of them was not on its rail, so was very difficult to move. The light fitting was hanging by the electrical wires from the ceiling and not actually attached to the ceiling properly. The basin tap was loose in that it swivelled round, The towel rail was falling off the wall. The shower head fell off its mount when it was used. The breakfast was very basic, no water or fruit available and the coffee was instant with powdered milk and served with a plastic spoon. The wifi was very difficult to access in the hotel so booking tickets and taxis for trips was difficult. At one point I had to hotspot with a member of staff to access the internet. On reflection this hotel is not worthy of a 3 star rating. The photos in the advert do not reflect reality. I would not recommend to stay here, it was horrible!

- Julia (6/5): - Spacious room, uncomplicated checking and friendly checkin staff. The whole hotel could use a BIG clean and overall maintenance. The mattresses are poor and the pillows too plush. Breakfast unfortunately was kinda depressing.

- Liz_mtm (4/5): Dont have any expectations! - The hygiene level of the hotel is more or less in the standards of the country.
Broken glasses in our room that got cleaned on day 4th.
WiFi supposed to be provided but not wifing.
Rooms are big with comfo beds but broken furnitures, sink, windows, door and on top of that a moldy and dirty bathtub?!
You can basically hear every noise through your windows.
The atmosphere there is 80-20..
The most of the staff were unprofessional but willing to help you for a small amount of a tip.
Grooms are the only ones that seems to care honestly.
Reception team,no sure if they should work in hospitality like the young lady for example that constantly seems to be busy to pick up the phone when is not even ringing was something that i should mention and in general doesn't feel like they actually communicate with the house keeping.
In 7 days our room got cleaned once, they told as to put the sing for cleaning but when we did they flipped it to do not disturb! Funny thing we took the matter in our own hand ,find the towels, soaps and toilet paper from a request in the reception that took arround 40mins to gather everything, but the day after was that one time cleaning, the maid took the paper rolls with her when she left.
Breakfast is no around my taste and even empty the most of the time or cold but if you ask the staff they will provide it to u.
We were not arround the hotel most of the time anyways but when we were it was a hiding treasure game to find the basics.
The location is good tho, close to the giza pyramids, embassies and many stores.Cross the main road and u will find delicious restaurants, or just a place to chill for a coffee.
Feels like a safe area to us and we even witnessed the staff taking pics of our transfers plate number for our safety!
As about the value,I will just say we feel scammed. That can't be a 3*.
- Kl995mr (4/5): 7 days family trip - Yes is poor hotel , no wifi no clean facilities. It's you pay what you got . Staff was ok and polite but like they don't know what they doing. Very small problems who can fixed easy and fast they took 1 2 hours or maybe never to do it . I am not blame them cause they work in 3 star hotel (actually 2 star is generously rating by me ) .
Positive : close to Cairo, good people , good bed.
Negative : destroyed rooms and facilities, destroyed bathrooms, no really good breakfast ( everything is cold and empty most of the times)
I dont know how to explain better but owners must keep some attention to this hotel .
- U7021TGmartak (6/5): Cant say was bad but cant say was good - We just came back from Cairo, we stayed at Indiana Hotel for 6 days. Well photos dont shows all...Hotel deffo need updating but for 3 stars hotel the room was ok, clean bathroom and nice balcony but balcony door didnt close so it give us some unsecureness in the night or when we have been out.
Whevenever we ask for sotcking we got it in 5mins.
Food was good, only what we didnt like it that with dinner was no drinks, even water!!! If you want you need pay! For us was bit funny as with breakfast you got plenty drinks without paying!!
Rooftop area nice and relaxing, drinks wasnt expensive. We were only dissapointed one night when we goes there and buy 2 cans of coke and they havent got change so he said he will bring us change to room, we waited more than 1h and decide go back, instead brings us change like he said he was chilling with other mate and no guesta been there so wasnt bussy and he got time to sort it out. If the change wasnt big one we could let go but was so we want it back. So for us was negative.
They help us to sort it out taxi for airport with descent price without scams and hide costs.
Swimminpool realy dissapoitment!!! Messy and look like storage!! Dont believe what you see on photos!!!!
We book this hotel as wasnt pricey and close to all spots which we want see. I dont recommend thus hotel for long stay, or chill and relax.
- Bader (10/5): -
- Mummykins123 (2/5): Avoid at all costs. Followed out by porter and intimidated!! - Absolutely awful experience — avoid at all costs.
From the moment we arrived, this place felt uninviting, dirty, and completely dismal. Most of the staff were rude and genuinely intimidating, and as a woman travelling, I would never feel safe here on my own. The only positive was one man on reception who was lovely on the night we checked in — but unfortunately that’s where the good points end.
They didn’t even have our reservation and ended up sending us to a different hotel, which was just as dirty and unacceptable. The whole situation felt unprofessional and unsettling from start to finish.
I would 100% not recommend staying here. Easily one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
- Yaseen (8/5): -
- Y9958MDmattl (6/5): Staff amazingly- hotel not so much - Firstly I really want to say that the staff did their very best and were very friendly. They didn’t speak very good English but I don’t want this review to fail badly on them.
The hotel is in desperate need of some attention. The pool pictures seem to be an absolute impossibility- there is no sun. It’s surrounded by tower blocks in pretty much every side. The pool area is dirty and shabby- the entire hotel is shabby- the lift button panel was broken- wires on display- I broken banisters, wires hanging from the walls.
It was actually such a shame because you could see what an awesome place this hotel could be with some decent investment.
We checked out to another hotel- we are not and never was looking for anything more than a bed and a base but unfortunately this hotel felt more like a hostel than a hotel.
- alan (5/5): One night only - Bed was firm Location and rooms very dated
- Mohamed (1/5): -
- koysa2024 (6/5): Average budget hotel nothing spectacular - The location of the hotel was ideal to see the Giza pyramids and other sites in Cairo. However, because it is a “doqi” there are no decent shops within walking distanceThe hotel is old and looking tired.
The rooms were quite large and one of the rooms had remnants of previous guests smoking in the room which was unpleasant.
AC was average and not very powerful and was turned off intermittently in one of the rooms (we had 2 rooms).
On 2 days they run out of breakfast - there wasn’t enough for all the guests - poor!
The overall stay was ok for a budget hotel and the price that we paid.
Staff were very helpful but many didn’t speak English so it was difficult to communicate at times as we had to wait for English speaking staff to get our points across to them.
Food wasn’t very good but room service was excellent they attended to our issues quickly and when we ordered beverages they arrived quickly to our rooms.
- Karima (6/5): - Emplacement Wifi catastrophique
Climat ne marche pas bien
- Erick Brazil (7/5): Good for the price - The room was big, it had everything I needed. I selected this hotel because of the Pool, but, when I used it, there were many bits of trash. I couldn’t even open my eyes because of it.
Also, the guy who helped me with my luggage was friendlier than the receptionist

- Maged (7/5): Good -
- Moza (5/5): Passable - The hotel is nice and good area You need serios people for the cleaning and for small repairs like doors and litle details. You will get bad reviews because of the cleaning. Is horrible ....
- Osama (4/5): Disappointing - Just the location of the hotel The staff at Night shift, they were rude most of the times and making our stay uncomfortable and broke the AC many times so they can go up to the room to pretend tk fix it, and to ask to tip all the time for doing nothing
- Haben (7/5): Good -

- Meena (6/5): Quality not worth of money - First room was dirty but another was clean, big and nice. Staff was very friendly and many of them spoke good English. Pool was dirty and opening hours were difficult (11-17). WiFi didn't work in rooms and not in the restaurantes, only in second and tenth floors it works.
Breakfast... Croissants in plastic bags and only instant coffee and milk powder. Fresh falafels also daily (made it better).
Defenatly not worth of money.
- Mohammad (3/5): Poor - N/A Nothing

- Mohamed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Syed (6/5): Ok hotel in nice location but I wouldn’t stay here again! - Firstly, the location is really good. You are 5min walk from the Nile and there are plenty of taxi to take you to any part of Cairo. Taxi are also very cheap. I used an app called In Drive. Made bookings through there. Very reliable and cheaper than uber. The staff don’t really speak English so communication is hit and miss. They have a female reception staff called Amany. she is very helpful and speaks good English. But they do try their best to make your stay as comfortable possible. If you want to convert your money then the Sheraton hotel is 5 min walk. They have bank inside 12-hour so you can walk in and change money. I got a good rate and it’s directly with bank of Egypt. The back streets of hotel have cafe, restaurant, etc. the restaurant and rooftop cafe is ok. But you are better off eating outside somewhere. I booked two rooms as we were a family of 6. I was put in room 212. Upon arrival I found that the air conditioning wasn’t working. I asked reception to look at it. The engineer came and tried to fix it. Don’t really make much difference. Because we had the second room next door (room 211) we were able to compare the air conditioning and I was able to show the engineer the difference. Whilst he was there repairing we found a cockroach walking up the curtains. I showed that to the electrician and asked for my room to be changed. He spoke to reception and moved us to room 210 so they could disinfect my previous room. When we weee moved to room 210, again we found the air conditioning was not great. The room had a damp smell as if it hadn’t been occupied for a few months. Maybe because we were travelling off season and during Ramadan. Anyways, I was not happy with the air conditioning and I spoke to reception and said that I had paid for a triple room but they had now moved me to a double room. I asked for a refund of price difference. The reception manager (Tarek) said it would not be possible for refund of price difference but stated that he would upgrade my room for free. Moved us to the seventh floor. Room 705. Now, this room was super amazing. Clean, air conditioning was perfect and room was modern, just like the pictures we saw on booking .com. Thank you Tarek.

It is located close to Nile river and in the Neiborhood of Dokki, so it is a quiet zone. Cosas menores (pocos enchufes,...). Some minor issues (like few electrical sockets,...)
- Mahmoud (2/5): with some care this Hotel can be recommended to all my friends, especially with others in area. - size of the room, friendly stuff, near location. poor taste breakfast. unclean towels.
bathroom utensils.
- Basma (9/5): Superb -
- Dr.mohamed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sumon (1/5): Bad - Not good Noot good
- Steve (7/5): Good - Large rooms, All a bit old and tired.... Decoration poor condition
- Tareq (3/5): Poor -
- Mohammed (2/5): Unexpected hotel experience - The reception and cleaning staff were really nice and helpful The rooms were not as indicated on the photos.i was shocked its even a 3 star, it should be a 1 star.
The beds springs were really bad and had to ask for a duvet underneath to sleep over.
The room was tacky and had a lot of wall cracks and smelled weird. Some floor tiles were coming out. The toilet bath had a sticky surface and disgusting to have a shower in it.
Although i was offered a different option but most of the rooms were the same.
The hotel needs a full renovation. The breakfast was not great.
The only great thing was the politeness of the staff and reception.

- Hussein (1/5): the worst hotel i have ever met - bad break fast , and bad food staff are aggressive and very bad behaviour. bad rooms , bad food , very noisy
- Martin (1/5): We only needed a place to sleep for a few hours so I’m not angry, but I am not satisfied with my experience at all. - The overworked bellhop was the only kind employee. The water pressure was good. The air conditioner worked. Clean towels. We were forced to purchase a second night because of a mistake in communication on their part. We confirmed our arrival through messaging on booking.com but when we got there, “our room wasn’t ready”.
