Guest Reviews
- Guest (10/5): Loved it thanks - Amazing hotel fantastic location super clean loved the sauna and jacuzzi in the room and karaoke machine in the room was a blast
It was also opposite a Yamato so super handy for sending bags on to next hotel and 8 min walk from Choyada metro line and also close to the Gonpachi kill bill restaurant which is a great experience
Staff are super friendly and helpful I didn’t like having to leave it was so nice

- Annie (10/5): Absolutely recommend - Perfect little hide away hotel, great location, great staff, amazing equipment in the room. We had the junior suites and the sauna was a real extra treat ! Nothing
- Roth (10/5): Traveled around Japan for several weeks and this was our final stay. - The breakfast was great.
Only a 10-15 minute walk to train stations.
Staff was phenomenal.
Room had everything you could possibly want.
Loved the sauna and wet area ! Nothing
- c (10/5): Affordable luxury - Room size was very generous, minutes from the underground. Staff very attentive. All windows were frosted

- Ferro (10/5): - Everything about this hotel was spectacular and was an ideal place to unwind and relax before our flight. The amenities were top notch and every staff member was incredibly nice and helpful.

- Robinson (8/5): Hugely well appointed and well sized room suitable for couples who don’t want any interaction! - Amazingly appointed room. Sauna, spa bath, karaoke machine- literally everything you could ever want including a loo seat that opened automatically. Lots of space Nice breakfast. Lovely staff No atmosphere in the common area. Weirdly European coloured lighting. Odd building at intersection.

- Armando (10/5): Most amazing hotel I've stayed in - Amazing hotel with spacious rooms, with karaoke, sauna and onsen style bath in the room. Staff were really kind and helpful. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for! 10 mins walk to closest underground station, but not a big deal
- Susan (10/5): Amazing - It was one of the most beautiful hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. There was a hot tub and a sauna in my bathroom. Absolutely nothing. Everything was amazing.
- Jean-François (10/5): - Top très classe
- Liam (10/5): Classy, retreat, relaxing. - Loved the service, food, spa/ sauna and karaoke machine! The free bar fridge and ammenities were fabulous! Worth the stay! Great before our long flight back home. Nothing at all, loved it!
- Asaf (10/5): -
- Christine (8/5): It was fun to be served breakfast in your room rather than in a big dining room. The best spa bath and sauna. Good museu - The design of the rooms were exceptional It is a bit far from the metro but the area is interesting
- Neil (9/5): Restful and relaxing stay with personal sauna in a less touristy but wonderful part of Tokyo - I loved the staff, they could not have been nicer and more welcoming. They even left me a kind note with several origami while I was out for a run and exploration day. The room was very unique to anything I had experienced before, with the personal sauna and cold plunge. I booked this at the end of my 12 days in Japan for this very reason, it was a great way to wind down and reset a bit before long travels home. Every amenity was well curated, breakfast room service both mornings was also amazing. The only complaint I have about the room and my experience was the inability to get the room to a cool temperature. I found this to be a general issue in Japan altogether and I think it may just be my US tendency to love a cool room at night. With the sauna/shower room also emitting some heat since it never turns off, this adds to a bit of a muggy feel in the room making it more difficult for me to reach that deep sleep. If they could somehow fix this and allow guests to get rooms below 17 C (this was as low as it would go) it would absolutely be the most perfect hotel stay in a big bustling city.

- Dey (10/5): Best Hotel in Tokyo in terms of Luxury, Value and Amenities. SAUNA IN THE ROOM ! - The breakfast selection, preparation and presentation was amazing. The staff were very polite. The bathroom was absolutely stunning, the most amazing bathroom/spa/shower I have ever experienced in a hotel. The Sauna in the bathroom is perfection! There was not much of a view from the window. Actually hardly any street view, which was okay because of the oasis like nature of the hotel room.
- Dylan (10/5): -
- Matthew (10/5): - The staff was super friendly and the facilities were extremely comfortable. It was extremely relaxing being able to come back to the room after a long walk around Tokyo and to have a sauna and bath. I even tried a little karaoke on the machine they have in the room which was fun. The breakfast always arrived on time to the room and was extremely delicious. They even left a little note in the room asking about our day and wishing us well which was very kind and made the stay even more exceptional.
- Clay (10/5): Would absolutely come back. - Amazing service from the front desk staff. Nothing!
- Gani78 (10/5): -
- Glennis (10/5): A lovely stay in a boutique hotel - The staff were wonderful! The room was spacious and had everything that we needed. We liked everything about the property.
- Jie (10/5): the best hotel experience we ever had!!!! No kidding, will def stay again -
- Robert Lorin Taylor (9/5): Unique property in a Japanese style - Location was proximate to shopping and the sites we wanted to visit. Facilities were unique for a US traveler and the experience was great! Access to lobby was difficult as it was off a busy street but was manageable. In the executive suite I rented with a private onsen I had visions of some very naughty past activities occurring
- Daniel (10/5): -
- Amanda (9/5): - Good breakfast, friendly staff, amazing in room sauna bed was uncomfortably firm
- Davis (10/5): - This hotel is absolutely AMAZING! Polished, high-end, world-class; It's a vibe. My number one stay in Tokyo and breakfast was cute.
- SU YOUNG (8/5): -
- Alley (10/5): -
- Samantha (9/5): - Wonderful service, beautiful room. In-room sauna was exceptional. Delicious breakfast, lovely bathroom amenities. No where to put clothes in the room but that's okay.
- Trinity (8/5): Good stay and nice hotel but the beds could be a little softer - Very nice room, very clean and enjoyed the sauna. I found the bed very uncomfortable
- Stephen (10/5): Always a pleasure staying here, this is my second time at this hotel and loved it both times - Staff are always super helpful and friendly, amenities and facilities are amazing. Location is great quiet location walking distant to stations Nothing comes to mind, it is expensive but you pay for what you get, and you get a lot!
- Robert (10/5): High above the streets. Where the city holds its breath. A private elegance. - We chose this hotel for our final stay during our honeymoon in Japan. The staff's hospitality was outstanding, and both the hotel and our room were spotless and well-kept. We received a lovely note and origami in celebration of our wedding, none of the other hotels during our 10-day trip gave us such a thoughtful gift, which made us appreciate the staff's care. The executive suite was a perfect way to conclude our last two days in Japan. We enjoyed using the Bluetooth speakers for music, the outdoor baths for relaxation, and the sauna to unwind at night. Every element of the suite seemed purposefully designed, and we admired each feature we encountered. The only issue we experienced was the suite doorbell. I could not tell a staff member was trying to reach us at the time as the bell chime sounded like the room's telephone and the direction of the noise didn't seem to come from the door or hallway.

- Alex (10/5): Fun, perfect for couples, chic, value for money! - Amazing hotel. Beautiful and fun rooms, with great amenities and very helpful staff. Nice location - and slightly away from the worst of the hustle and bustle, but still close to everything! Nothing!
- Karyn (10/5): - Lovely small (only 11 rooms!) hotel with sauna in each room in the Japanese style bathroom, with giant tiled tub and shower so you can do cold plunge after a long day of sightseeing. Amenities like ice, cold beer mugs in the freezer, bath salts, pajamas, free drinks, and even a karaoke machine! Staff speak limited enlightenment but are so kind and professional. Lovely upscale neighborhood with great architecture.
- David (10/5): - Awesome Good
- Alberto Guillermo (10/5): EXCELENTE UBICACION, EXTRAORDINARIO PERSONA, SUITE COMPLETISIMA Y MUY AMPLIA - ES UN HOTE CUYA TARIFA SE INVIERTE EN EL TAMOÑO, CALIDA Y AMENIDADES DEL CUARTO Y EN EL EXTRAORDINARIO PERSONAL. NO SE VA A COSAS COMOLOBBY ENORME, ALBERCAS QYE NO USAS, JARDINES QUE NONCA RECORRES. SOLO A LO PARA PARA ALGUNOS COMO NOSOTRO ES MAS IMPORTANTE: SUITE CON PORTICO, VESTIBULO PARA MALETAS, RECAMARA GRANDE CON SALA DE TV Y ESCRITORIO, BAÑO CON JACUZZY Y SAUNA PERSONAL. TODAS LAS AMENIDADES COMO PISTOLAS PINZAS, SALES, CREMAS, ACEITES, TOALLAS, CAFETARAS DE VARIOS TIPOS, SERVIBAR, AGUA PLENA,,,,, NO ENCONTRE ALGO
- Rachel Rose (7/5): - Staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They left a very kind note and origami in our room, and always provided our room with new refreshments.
If you're up for a good walk, it's in a nice location. We walked to Omotesando, Harajuku, Shibuya. To be honest this is kind of a strange hotel to me. We had a sauna and a bath which was really nice, and the toiletries/amenities were nice. But the vibe of the hotel feels more like a place for people to book parties for the evening (there was a karaoke machine) OR for couples, rather than people traveling with family. I had to bring my room key to the front desk every morning to be reset (it's one of the hotel policies, presumably for security reasons), which felt a bit strange.
Someone knocked on our door at 3 in the morning, which was a bit concerning. I called the front desk and they said that maybe they meant to knock on the room next door.
I would also say that for the price, the breakfast options and items didn't feel as high quality as I was expecting. Lastly, I think it's not that close to train stations - a short walk is fine, but I think next time I would pick something closer.
- Sean (10/5): - The room was even more beautiful than the pictures showed. This was our favorite hotel we stayed at on our 2 week trip. The sauna/bath combination was incredible. The karaoke was a very fun suprise. The breakfast menu was a little limited for my alpha gal allergy. Ate the same udon breakfast 3 days in a row. It was a boring meal, but I'm use to it at this point with my allergy.

- Jason (10/5): An impressive and truly unique hotel experience - Staff were outstanding. Possibly the cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The attention to detail was impressive.
- Ronald (9/5): Extremely comfortable and modern room with great design, warm front desk staff, and good location in a tiny hotel. - The room and bathroom with traditional sauna was spacious and comfortable No common areas to relax in or on site restaurant
- Faria (9/5): A nice clean and spacious hotel. - Great hotel near Roppongi. Was spacious clean and staff were very friendly. The private spa and sauna were a great inclusion. Breakfast was brought to your room each morning and the mini bar was stocked daily which was all included in the room rate. There was overnight road work each night we stayed which made it hard to sleep. We werent told of this in advanced but saw the notice when we arrived for check in. Despite this being a great hotel, thought this was unfair to pay the full rate each day.
- Oppert (7/5): Its really a strange type of hotel for western tourists . But the people and the cleanliness excelle - Breakfast was NOT up to international standard The choices are too limited . There is nowhere to sit down to eat a normal hotel breakfast
No cupboards in the rooms is bizarre
- Sylvain (10/5): -
- Brendan (10/5): -
- Justine (9/5): Excellent 2 night stay a bit quirky Japanese and the in room sauna /onsen incredible ! Staff were so kind and helpfu - Exceptional amenities in room and attention to detail. In room food great including breakfast .
- Eleonora (9/5): -
- WJT55 (9/5): A new and very tastefully decorated hotel with great facilities in the room and superb staff. - The staff were so kind and helpful throughout our 10 day stay and really made our time there so enjoyable. The room was brightly decorated in tasteful Japanese art and we had a spa bath and sauna in the room - both well used. There was also a Karaoke machine in the room! We were very close to the Rappongi district (great food, bars & nightlife - The Gon Pachi restaurant 1 min from the hotel should not be missed!) and about 20 minutes walk to the main shopping in Omotesande. Such a vibrant city!! Breakfast we included and there were 6 selections to choose from daily, which are brought upto the room at a time of our choosing. A few minor things - the windows in the room were frosted so we didn't have any views. The room doesn't have much storage so for such a long stay we weren't able to manage our clothes as we would like. Also, the Karaoke machine sounds like a great facility, but when the guests in the room above us decided to use the equipment between 3am and 5am we were unable to sleep!
- Maeva (10/5): Wonderfull stay - Everything was perfect in hotel Minato !! We loved the amenities, the room was splendid, and we would like to take the opportunity of this comment to say to the staff here how gratefull we are and that we really appreciated all the Little attentions and their kindness ! They’re doing a really great job, it’s a 10 out of 10 for us.

- Amber Rose (8/5): Lush Tokyo stay! Take me back! - This was our first stay of our 4 week trip in Japan and it set the tone for an epic journey. The staff were lovely and the room was a perfect soft landing after our long flight. Of course the in room sauna spa makes this place special and the traditional Japanese breakfast was delicious. Really nice complimentary toiletries and tasteful decor. Very comfortable and located close enough to stations to get around. Great spot to reset after long days exploring Tokyo Relative to similar starred hotels across Japan it was quite expensive.
- Jessica (10/5): amazing bang-for-your-buck stay! - thank you to the wonderful staff for the exceptional
service and going out of their way to make my birthday stay so special! i loved the amenities and the breakfast was so delicious! the bed was a little incomfortable…
- Andrew (10/5): -
- Bonie (10/5): -
- Luke (10/5): Absolutely stunning - Hotel was stunning and had some of the best in room facilities of hotels 2 or 3 times the price Not the closest to any train station. Each was 10mins away
- François (9/5): -
- Jonathan (10/5): Great stay, 10/10! - The staff were incredible, extremely kind and helpful. The in room sauna was great! Breakfast severed in the room every morning. Overall experience was great! Highly recommend!! Nothing
- Zhanna (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was amazing!!!
- Yih (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mei (9/5): Would love to return for our next trip to Tokyo. - The design is great! Excellent use of space. The private bath/sauna is a luxury to have. The front desk agents are fluent in English. They are very caring and super helpful.
- Kendrew (9/5): Staff were excellent throughout. More amenities than we could’ve asked for! - Lots of amenities and sauna within the unit! Breakfast was okay. Could have been a bit cleaner
- Diana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachael (9/5): Spacious room near shibuya with relaxing amenities - Staff was so friendly ! Lots of touches in the room that made the stay even more comfortable -
- Robin (10/5): Wonderful stay - The hotel is enchanting and the staff are superb. Everything you’d need for your stay is in the room, as well.
- Loukas (4/5): Extremely overpriced, and not for internationals - Very clean, and great selection of amenities Extremely overpriced - it costed so much money with very little in return. The room we booked had no windows (the hotel’s main picture is quite misleading), the sauna was so hot that it was impossible to stay there for more than 5’, the bed mattresses were too stiff. Location didn’t work either - in the middle of shibuya/roppongi, far from tube (15-20’) and nothing close otherwise we had to take a cab for everywhere.
And - this is not a hotel designated for internationals (I wish they had told us before we booked). Breakfast is extremely limited with 7 japanese-oriented, set options that they can get to the room (even the japanese omelette is too heavy for my taste for breakfast), while the personnel - although super friendly and trying to be helpful - didn’t speak even the basic english (they had the key questions printed, and we had to get google translator for the most basic conversations.. and obviously we couldn’t ask for any tips whatosever - that would have been too complex..)
Not recommended
- In (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicoletta (10/5): Excellent hotel, would recommend - The sauna and bathtub were amazing, and the Japanese breakfast a highlight. The staff were also the kindest and really helpful!
- Aaron (10/5): Our stay was a luxury couple experience with a load of amenities - The in room sauna and karaoke were excellent. The bed could have used more blankets
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional - The attention to detail was impeccable. My friend and I enjoyed our stay. It was worth the money. Super comfortable. So many amenities. They provide japanese instant coffee but also had Nespresso too. Everything is super clean and looks new. Breakfast was so lovely too. They even had a karaoke machine which we didn't have time to play with. Staff was super kind too! They helped me arrange for luggage delivery too. Thank you for everything, Hotel Minato! Just one thing is that we couldn't figure out how to turn off all the lights. We called and they turned it off for us. But when we had to turn it back on, we couldn't turn it off again. We couldn't figure it out but were so tired from the travels that we slept well regardless!
- Katherine (10/5): Thank you! We’ll definitely come back. - The minimalist but yet comfortable space. I like everything.
- Tami (10/5): 10/10 Amazing boutique hotel in Tokyo - I absolutely loved this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, the room was beautiful and comfortable, (loved the sauna in the room), the amenies were very luxurious and the breakfast was delicious. It's a bit of a walk to the subway
- Martin (10/5): Outstanding comfort & staff - Amazing room and great personalized service - we truly enjoyed every minute! Only limited daylight (but not bothering us at all)
- Sasa (10/5): Perfect experience in Tokyo - Woooow! Room had a small private japanese style SPA. Everything you can imagine (and what you cant imagine) is there. Full karaoke machine (most expencive DAM set, for those who ever visited karaoke bar, they would know) full minibar includeed, even beer glasses were in the freezer (not small hotel fridge, but freezer). They have frozen pizzas in the corridor and microvave in the rooom. Breakfast is served in the room. So many small things they provide in the room, all possible higiene and cosmetics…
And TOTO toilet, latest version with all options :)
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olson (10/5): Awesome experience loved the barhroo - Sauna Bed could have been softer
- Jochen (10/5): Phantastic experience - One of the nicest, most modern hotel rooms I ever stayed in. Sauna, bathtub with whirlpool and TV, karaoke machine, etc. Minor thing: Mattress (just like in most Japanese hotel rooms) was on the harder side
- Matthew (10/5): Tokyo transit - Great experience, terrific staff ensured we were well looked after and the room was phenomenal!! Recommend highly!!
