Virginia (10/5): A charming, well-run hotel with beautiful decor, great showers, and genuinely helpful staff who clearly care about maint - I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Josephine Bonaparte. The decor is really interesting and full of character – stylish and thoughtfully put together rather than the usual bland hotel design. Every space has its own personality, which makes the whole experience feel special. The rooms are on the smaller side, but that’s very typical for Paris and they are very well designed so everything feels comfortable and practical. The shower was excellent – great pressure and a really nice bathroom overall, which always makes a difference after a long day exploring the city. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout, and it’s clear that the team takes real pride in maintaining high standards. Everything felt very well looked after, from the rooms to the common areas. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive without ever being intrusive. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and it genuinely felt like they cared about making sure guests had a good stay. Overall, this is a hotel that clearly cares about its standards and its guests. If you appreciate thoughtful decor, cleanliness, and genuinely welcoming service, I would highly recommend staying here.

jean-Michel (9/5): Nous connaissions déjà et nous y retournerons encore car nous aimons beaucoup ce lieu. - La situation géographique est parfaite Saint Paul 75004. L’hôtel est super cosy. Décoration minutieuse et classique avec une touche flamboyante. La chambre (pas grande) était confortable et accueillante. La salle de bain était spacieuse. Tout est parfaitement propre. Le personnel sympathique et professionnel nous a aimablement reçu au check in, au check out et pendant le séjour. Le bar est une salle superbement décorée, chaleureuse où il fait bon déguster une boisson. Aux beaux jours il y a une terrasse bien aménagée. Chambre un peu petite mais avec tout ce qui est nécessaire (sauf un porte valise car le lieu ne le permet pas).

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay. Everything was very good. There was a little noise from the street, but it wasn’t a big issue.

Fruehstueck qualitativ fuer den Preis super. Der Uebernachtungspreis lässt Sparfuechse zunaechst schlucken aber fuer Paris vollkommen gerechtfertigt. Ich kann nichts kritisieren.

Maria (10/5): - This was one of the most eclectic designed hotels I've ever stayed in--absolutely fabulous! I stayed in a single and it was a perfect size for a solo traveler. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff were absolutely wonderful. The location is ideal for getting around Paris and worked perfectly as a base for walking or taking the metro. Only note is that the TV didn't connect with my mobile devices or streaming services. While I'm not there to watch TV, it's nice to wind down after a long day with a few shows from home. Stop looking... book this hotel.
Joseph (10/5): - This hotel is located just a couple of minutes' walk from a Metro station and is very conveniently located in the Marais neighborhood of Paris. The room decor was stunning, and the staff were very proactive with recommendations. Welcome drinks and macarons were a charming touch! Typical of stays in an urban hotel, there were some noise issues in the room with nighttime street noise and the fire station across the street. We had a minor inconvenience with a lack of control over the AC and water spilling out of the shower. But these urban inconveniences were minor compared to the loveliness of this Parisian hotel in an ideal location.

Every single one of us was delighted and thrilled with the hotel, the location, the staff, every detail. We had two doubles and one single, and each room was unique and enchanting. The boutiques and be tall, the plaza, the Place de Vosges, the Musée Carnavalet are a few minutes’ stroll from the charming hotel.

Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay for our family - Short stay but we really enjoyed our experience at the hotel. Staff was super friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. The rooms are all decorated in Josephine Bonaparte (ie JoBo) style which added a fun touch. The location in the funky and hip Marais district is also a big plus. Definitely recommend!

Loved all the little extras - booklet, postcards, macarons, still and sparkling water, fridge, and coffee maker in room. Location was excellent. Staff excellent. We even got a card to have a glass of champagne for free in the bar (but we forgot to use it!) Very small room, but that is to be expected in Paris. It was a little dusty. On the pricey side, but a treat to experience.

Mon seul bémol c’est que Hotels.com annonce que cet hôtel assure un transport pour l’aéroport. Ce qui est faux. En fait il peuvent organiser le transport mais au coût de 55 euros. C’est pas du tout la même chose.

The location was amazing! Nowhere near the Eiffel Tower, but in the very active, Le Marais part of Paris. Highly recommend this area! Very walkable, TONS of shopping, cafes, and close to historic sites. I definitely hope I get a chance to stay here again one day!!

The bed and bedding is very comfortable, large towels in the bathroom, and a nice breakfast option. You will feel like you are truly in Paris, and not in a generic hotel.

It felt very safe when walking at night and there are lots of shops and restaurants literally round the corner. The hotel gave us an excellent local map with many restaurant suggestions within easy walking distance and we tried 3 of them - all were great value and excellent! The hotel is quirky - the decor, based on Josephine Bonaparte's unique style, is flamboyant (think leopard skin mixed with floral chintz & pink flamingos!) and might not be to everyone's taste but we loved it! Our room was small but had everything we needed. It was immaculately clean and toiletries/tea & coffee/bottled water were replenished daily. We paid 16€ per day for the exceptional breakfast, served in the comfortable lounge, which was well worth it. The hotel felt really welcoming and homely & this was largely due to the incredible staff. Everyone was SO friendly and always welcomed us warmly whenever we returned from our sightseeing. We will definitely never stay anywhere else in Paris in future!

Verified traveler (6/5): Quaint gem - mixed feelings - The hotel has an interesting, quirky decor. Which is pleasant. The room felt quite small, but liveable. The room itself was ok except that the soundproofing between rooms is not amazing - i could hear the neighbouring room talking , opening and closing doors wtc well into the night. I had also asked for a quiet room location in advance. But i was put in a room exactly facing the lift - so anytime anyone went in or out of the lift i couls hear them and the doors opening and closing. Some of the staff was polite and helpful and the welcome drink is a nice touch. Also providing umbrellas to guests on rainy days was a nice touch.

And the bathroom was a bijou. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was tiny, and while there was hanging space, there were no drawers, nor a full-length mirror.
Todd (10/5): Such a great hotel - We've stayed here a half dozen times on various visits to Paris and we love it. We keep coming back. My only reservation about giving this hotel five stars is that it becomes harder and harder to get reservations, and our trips are frequently last minute. The prices are a bit high, but the decor, maintenance, staff/service, and location make it worth it.

The location was perfect. We had an issue with a staff member when it came to finalizing our stay. The room was paid in advance but the staff member insisted that we had to pay again. He was very rude and condescending. It has made me rethink staying again, even through the hotel itself was lovely.
