The location is excellent, with easy access to many train lines, making it very convenient to get around. The area feels lively and vibrant, yet not overcrowded. The room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped — we had everything we needed and more. Overall, we were extremely satisfied and felt very comfortable throughout our stay. Highly recommended.

The location was also great, with it only being 2 minutes away from the train station that had a major train line. The bathrooms were also clean and the staff were very friendly There was no washing machine on site but there was one 10 minutes away, minor inconvenience. The breakfast was also quite small, but allowed us to explore other food options!

• Eva (8/5): Ansprechendes, aber nicht ganz perfektes Hotel - Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, wenige Schritte vom Bahnhof Ikebukuro in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Das Viertel ist an sich lebhaft, aber davon merkt man im Hotel nichts. Design und Ausstattung sind stimmig und ansprechend. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir fanden sie Matratzen sehr gut (hart). Das Frühstück wird wunschgemäß morgens in kleinen Körbchen vor die Tür gestellt. Das Gebäck kann im Zimmer dank eines kleinen Ofens aufgebacken werden. Größtes Minus: Unser Zimmer hatte kein Fenster, Lüften daher unmöglich, angebotene Raumdüfte wollten wir nicht benutzen. Es gibt aber wohl Zimmer mit natürlichem Licht. Das Frühstück variiert nicht, was bei längeren Aufenthalten eventuell stören könnte. Die Zimmer werden nur jeden zweiten Tag gereinigt, d.h. Betten werden nicht gemacht, es wird nicht gesaugt oder gewischt, die Handtücher jedoch täglich gewechselt. Der Check-in inkl. Zimmerkartenausgabe muss selber an einem Terminal durchgeführt werden, was nach einer langen Anreise mühsam ist.

There was a bit of construction surrounding the property but that is just part of Japan

• Hoai (10/5): Exceeded exceptations - A bit outside from center like Tokyo Station but such a wonderful deal. Walking around the neighborhood is relaxing away from the hustle bustle. Check in is beautiful, staff very friendly and so helpful. There was a lounge area with snacks/drinks/games and seating area to enjoy, super cute and welcoming. The amenities was a super cute plus that I was not expecting to be so good. Room was spacious, clean, beds and pillows were so comfy. Will definitely return!

• Jacqueline (10/5): Great Boutique Hotel - We stayed in a family bunk bed room on the 7th floor with 2 jacuzzi's. Kids loved the top beds and soaking after long days of walking. Location is very close to the main train station. Staff were very kind and attentive. We were able to ship our luggage there 2 days before our arrival. 2nd floor lounge or downstairs cafe was nice to be able to get a cup of coffee and get some work done. Didn't hear any outside noise through the night. Would definetly stay here again Living space was a bit smaller then anticipated, but its Japan so normal
• Nicola (8/5): Seriously comfortable night’s sleep in spacious and nicely designed room. - The hotel is a little bit of luxury in this area, the design is really nice across the whole building (from cafe to rooms). We chose a large room, which really was huge with good amenities, bathroom/sauna and very comfortable beds. The welcome drink and snack in the communal kitchen area is a lovely idea, as are the toiletry bags with pick-your-own provisions and pyjamas. The location is good, the JY is one of the best lines to stay near to as it connects easily to the whole city and the airport. It’s not adult only, and it attracts a lot of influencers. Fine but can affect the noise levels. Our room also had a strong food smell coming through the air con unit in the evening - the in-room humidifier and essential oils helped a little. A Nespresso machine would make a good addition to the well stocked in-room kitchenette area.

Das Frühstück wurde aufs Zimmer geliefert und war qualitativ okai, aber ohne Abwechslung. Wir haben also 5 Tage eine Suppe, einen Salat, einen kleinen Yoghurt, ein Croissant und ein kleines Törtchen bekommen. Etwas mehr Variation wäre für den Preis wünschenswert gewesen.

• Esther (8/5): Nur ohne Frühstück und kurzfristig buchen - Sehr sauber Sehr freundlich Sehr ruhige Lage Nützliche Amenities und guter Kuchen und Saft in der Lounge Wirklich frech ist das Frühstück! Zur gewünschten Uhrzeit wird es vor die Tür gestellt und dann muss man selber ran. Jeden Tag dasselbe. Eine Suppe, ein Salat, in dem alles drin ist, egal ob es passt, ein Minijoghurt. Besonders gelobt wird im Beipackzettel das Brot, welches man sich im Toaster selbst zubereiten muss. Brot ist in diesem Zusammenhang ein Minicroissant, ein Käsebagel und ein Zitronenmuffin. Keine Malmelade, keine Butter- nix. Alternativen werden nicht angeboten. Milch für den selber aufzubrühenden Kaffee stellt sich als Milchpulver heraus. Bodenlos! Und dafür ist es einfach dann doch zu teuer.

The bathroom/shower/spa was the best part. The staff helped ship our luggage to Kyoto and when we arrived in Kyoto our luggage was waiting for us in our room!
