• Tina (9/5): - Central location, near Skanderbeg square, bus stops, great coffee shops, restaurants supermarket and berek shops! There was a fridge in the room. André on reception was so helpful. He has a wealth of knowledge to help you enjoy your visit. It felt really safe. There was a lift, although the rooms were only on 2nd floor! There's no common space, to sit or have a coffee. No kettle available.
• Jeff (9/5): - Excellent location, a 2 minute walk from where the airport bus drops you off in Tirana. Rooms are spotless, with a small balcony, and you are an easy walk to everything you want to see in Tirana center (and very close to where busses will pick you up if you book day tours elsewhere). The man at the desk is there until 6 every day (if you arrive later on will get the door code before), and is extremely helpful. The only fault is that all the rooms are right on one of the busiest streets. Even with the metal screen down on the windows, it will be loud past midnight. If you are a light sleeper, make sure you have a white noise app on your phone. It won’t drown it all out, but will make it a bit easier to sleep.

The building is shared and the hotel occupies one floor, but there is a reception desk with helpful staff. Our room got a bit of noise but not a problem, just maybe bring ear plugs if you are sensitive. The room was very clean and everything was in good order.

• Ayumi (9/5): Best value for a central stay!! - Perfect location in the city center with bus stops nearby, including the main city bus stop for the airport bus. Many restaurants around. Great value for money. Staff were very helpful — they even changed my room right away when the AC wasn’t working. Credit card payment is also available, which was very convenient. It can be noisy since the hotel is on a main road, but considering the location and price, it’s acceptable.

It’s very close to the airport bus stop and the sight-seeing places. The staff are super good offering excellent services, especially the manager, Andrew who is very responsive and very caring. If I can, will give him beyond 10 marks. Thank you for everything you did for us, Andrew! If the shower enclosure can be renovated, will even be better. Everything else is very good.

• Linda (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel was fantastic for a stay in Tirana...perfect location for exploring Tirana and very close to the Airport Shuttle bus stop. Our room was big, clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed. What really made the hotel exceptional was the Manager. Before arriving he was really helpful with a flexible check in time and being able to arrange in advance storing our cases on the check out day as we had an evening flight out. He was very welcoming, friendly and helpful when we arrived and even took us out of the hotel to show us some local bars/cafes and a great cake place! When we were due to pick up our cases later in the day after check out he had waited in the garden area near to the hotel access door to let us in. A truly exceptional person! I would highly recommend staying here. Nothing.

Location was fabulous right near Skanderbeg square. Was great to have parking provided in such a central location. When driving in to the hotel, the sign is a little hidden by trees and parking entrance is right on the junction.

• Oqb (9/5): Superb - My value-for-money at-the-time-of-me-booking rating of this accommodation: HIGHLY RECOMMENDABLE! Central, easy walking distance to all major sites. One can walk within 25 minutes to all far-reaching ends of the center. SPACE: The floor plan was perfect, the furniture simple yet tasteful. UTILITIES: The bath was bright and spacious and included the necessary amenities. This is the first place I've stayed in in a long time that had plenty of electrical outlets in every conceivable corner of the room. This makes the room also ideal as a good working space. LIGHTING: The room was well lit and the window large and let in loads of light. AMBIANCE: The room had an urban yet pleasant view the backside of the city's main square. The sense of total privacy, even with open curtains, was fulfilled. With window closed the room was satisfactorily quiet. QUIET: With closed windows, the room was satisfactorily quiet enough. Considering you're in the heart of Tirana, it was not too loud ever. Traffic is not too heavy at night, making it possible to sleep with a slightly open window, at least until morning rush hour traffic begins. People who need dead silence might ask for a room not facing the street. This room IS SUITABLE for people like me who need relative quiet. SERVICE: Endrit, the manager of the hotel, was available upon my arrival and was extremely welcoming, friendly, helpful and accommodating. It was possible to pay in Euros. THE BUILDING: Modern style, clean and well lit. NEIGHBORHOOD: Urban, pleasant, located in the absolute heart of Tirana. BREAKFAST: Breakfast is included off premises down the street in an ex-cinema converted into a quaint a 3 minute walk away. Breakfast includes a one-time set choice of several savory or sweet options that gets served at the table by very friendly staff. One beverage is also included. This is NOT an all-you-can-eat buffet and refills are not included. The food however was VERY GOOD! One criticisms and three observations: CRITICSM: At the time of my stay, it was not possible to pay electronically. The cash only policy was at least communicated to me prior to my arrival and it was possible to pay in Euros. OBSERVATIONS Observations are not intended as criticisms but rather concerns that can be common problems we might find, anywhere we might travels to. OBSERVATION 1: WIFI: Unsecured, unfortunately. Most FREE WIFI, everywhere in the world, is insecure. I highly recommend NEVER TO USE UNSECURED WIFI. Unsecured wifi is the number one reason why people's social media accounts get hacked. UNSECURED WIFI is wifi that use no passwords and those that use passwords that are not frequently changed, not customer-specific and time-limited, that are hanging in the lobby for everyone to see, and/or that are simple (such as those that use the name of the business providing the wifi or have easy number and letter combinations). SECURE WIFI use passwords that are time-limited (get changed often) and/or are customer specific (a one-time password that is only generated for the customer. In hotels, for example, a one-time password is often the last name of the customer plus room number). HACKERS love free wifi that are not secured by SECURE passwords. I repeat, unsecured wifi is the number one reason why people's social media accounts get hacked. OBSERVATION 2: When it rains hard, one might hear some water dripping through a drain pipe which is embedded into one of the walls. This is not the fault of the hotel but rather an incompetent architect. It might disturb people who need utter silence. However alternative rooms are available. I need relative silence. It icky rained one evening, so it didn't bother me too much. OBSERVATION 3: Each room is equipt with smoke-detectors. The periodic light which such smoke detectors flash might disturb people who are ultra light sensitive when sleeping.

• Long (10/5): Recommended! Comfy room and helpful receptionist - The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. He showed us around the area (the laundry shop, his favourite restaurant, where breakfast is served, where and how to take the bus). The room was nice and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and there wasn't any problem with the hot water, unlike some hotels/ apartments we have stayed in in the Balkans. There wasn't really anything that was particularly impressive with the room though - nothing fancy, but it had all the basic amenities, met all our needs, and is of a decent standard. We had a great stay there and would definitely recommend it to others. There was nothing that we didn't like, but there was some small misalignment in expectations, although it was not a problem for us. Since the name was "In Center Hotel", we had thought it would be a mid to large scale hotel, but actually it was a small inn situated only on one floor of the building, and the breakfast was served in a partner cafe nearby, not inside the hotel. It's different from what we expected at first, so we were a bit surprised, but it was totally not a problem for us since we had all our needs met (and even better, since the hotel was actually at a small scale, we had a more personalised experience, like the receptionist giving us recommendations, showing us around and paying for our drinks when we coincidentally met him in the restaurant he recommended us to go to).
