Also very safe area. The room, especially the bathroom, was incredibly small. But we were hardly there except to sleep, so it really didn’t matter much to us.

• Michael (7/5): Gut für Kurzaufenthalt - mittendrin - einfach - Wir waren für eine Nacht dort, ein Familienhotel, in die Jahre gekommen, aber mit Charme und sehr gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Fussläufig zu Syntagma, so dass wir dort nachts einfach den Flughafenbus nehmen konnten. Personal sehr freundlich - und Danke für das Lunchpaket, das uns gut durch den Tag gebracht hat!

The room was large and had a fridge and old frescos exposed on the ceiling. The staff were helpful and booked our taxi to the airport. We were at the end of our trip so our luggage was heavy to carry up the winging staircase as there was no elevator

• Niclas (5/5): Old hotel, not worth the money - We didn’t have time to have breakfast since our flight was early and the hotel offered a “breakfast bag” very good!! The hotel i right in the city which is excellent close to everyting. The room was not nice. The drain in the shower was clogged and there was a terrible smell in the bathroom. The interior was old and there were some interesting articles in the hotel which was fine. We didn’t spend any time in the hotel but I don’t think we will stay there again.

• Robert (9/5): Charming historic building with lovely staff - A lovely historic house, managed by warm staff. Location is great: surprisingly close to everything (e.g. right off Syntagma Square, 5-10 minute walk to Monastiraki Square, 20 minutes or so to the Acropolis gate depending on your uphill walking skills) but on a fairly quiet street corner (some late night noise in the streets outside on Fridays/Saturdays, but we slept through it). Water pressure in shower was great. Breakfast was ample and convenient. The ceiling in our room contained a partially uncovered 19th-century fresco (which the management says they're hoping to restore when they obtain government permission), which to me was another fun detail. No real complaints.
• Jeremy (7/5): Good Short Stay in Plaka - I stayed at this hotel multiple times while in Athens because I loved it so much. The location is amazing, the staff are helpful, and it’s in a quieter part of Plaka. I hard time sleeping before a long bus tour in the morning. The interior rooms on the lower floor funnel sound and smells (if people are smoking). I prefer the rooms facing the street.
• Jeremy (9/5): Authentic Two-Star Hotel in Plaka - This is a nice two-start hotel which is close to most of the major sites to be convenient, but at the same time tucked away in a quieter part of Plaka. The room decor is slightly dated, but it is spacious and authentic. There is a wonderful cluster of restaurants around the corner from it. Loved it

• fırat (1/5): Worst hotel ever! - Nothing Extremely Disappointing – Avoid This Place I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. It was easily the worst experience I’ve ever had for several reasons: 1. Unprofessional Atmosphere: The owner walks around the lobby wearing a political "MAGA" hat, which sets a very uncomfortable and unprofessional tone for a hospitality business. 2. Disrespectful Behavior: When I told the receptionist I was from Istanbul, the owner interrupted to "correct" me by calling it "Constantinople." Using a name from over 500 years ago to provoke a guest is incredibly rude and xenophobic. 3. Insects in Room: The room was infested with mosquitoes, making it impossible to get any rest. 4. Lack of Privacy: The cleaning staff entered our room without knocking, which is a total violation of basic privacy standards. 5. Dilapidated Facilities: The hotel is extremely old and poorly maintained. Everything is literally falling apart. Final Verdict: Save your money and stay somewhere where guests are treated with respect and the rooms are actually liveable.

• Gavin (3/5): On seeing the hotel and our allocated room we decided to book an alternative hotel - We arrived early off a cruise ship staff were really friendly and let us leave our luggage with them until the room was ready. The location was excellent near plenty of restaurants and walkable to the Acropolis and other sites. Once we checked in we proceeded to our room. We went through 2 rooms that were full of clutter and very old fashioned. We then took 2 suitcases up a spiral staircase as there is no lift not easy. The allocated room was extremely small for a 3 night stay there was nowhere to store your suitcases and had to move them as you went round the room. The newly renovated bathroom was no bigger than a large wardrobe with a very small sink and tiny shower too small for a shower tray and just a curtain. Our window opened onto a communal smoking balcony. We decided at this point we weren’t comfortable staying so booked an alternative hotel.

• Jerome Et Magali (5/5): Déçu de la chambre - L'emplacement, tout est a proximité La gentillesse du personnel, toujours a l écoute pour rendre service très accueillant La chambre 205 n est absolument pas adapté pour 2 personnes, avec les valises, on ne tourne pas au bord du lit, pas de place, pas d'isolation sans parler de la salle de bain qui n en ai pas une, on peut pas s asseoir droit sur les toilettes car pas de place, pas de lavabo mais un lave main, on ne peut pas y mettre nos affaires de toilettes et la douche pas d évacuation donc l eau coule partout une horreur

Personnel dévoué et attentif. Excellente situation et quartier très agréable. Frigo dans la chambre. Équipements un peu vieillissants (salle de bain propre mais petite). Isolation sonore peu efficace. Petit déjeuner copieux mais avec des produits assez bas de gamme.

Hadde bestilt rom etter å ha sett bildene fra rommene men det rommet var ikke avbildet og litt skuffende. Vindu uten sikt , grei seng men smal, badet var fint men dårlig trykk på dusjen. Men vi sov godt og personalet var hyggelig og frokosten deilig.

Necessiterait un petit rafraichissement mais pas trop pour garder ce caractere vieille mzison de famille

• claudia (6/5): Centrale si ma troppo trascurato - Posizione centralissima e staff molto gentile. Hotel davvero molto datato e trascurato e il bagno al limite dell'agibile. Odore di fogna e perdite dal water. È stato difficile fare anche la doccia perché l'acqua usciva dal flessibile invece che dal doccino, dal quale usciva solo un filo di acqua. Stanca buia e porte poco isolanti a livello acustico. Avevamo la stanza matrimoniale piccola di cui non c'erano foto sul sito, altrimenti avremmo desistito. Il nostro bagno non era neanche lontanamente simile alle foto dei bagni delle altre stanze, seppur datati.

I understand the concept and we were excited to be in the old mansion, but some facilities are uncomfortable. The bathroom causes problems because the shower water always leaks into the floor, devices and tools seem to be cheap and the breakfast is simple and always the same.

Déco des années 50 avec juke box vintage, salle de bains dans son jus avec rideau de douche qui n'arrive pas jusqu'en bas....mais les matelas sont confortables et la rue est plutôt calme. Le gros positif est son emplacement à Plaka. Nous avions trouvé un restaurant à 5 minutes, très bon et très copieux. Ensuite le personnel est vraiment souriant (mais on sent qu'ils aiment le contact), bienveillant et efficace. La SDB pas très pratique mais propre. Et le fait que les draps soient si petits...

• Stefania (2/5): - ΜΟΝΟ Η ΤΟΠΟΘΕΣΙΑ. Το δωμάτιο ήταν στον 4ο όροφο χωρίς ανσασερ. Πιστολάκι μαλιών δεν υπηρχε. έπρεπε να καταιβούμε από τον τέταρτο όροφο να το δανειστούμε (αν ήταν διαθέσιμο) και να την επόμενη το πρωί να το πάμε πίσω. Το αποχωρητήριο ήταν προσωπικο ναι, αλλά εκτός δωματίου. έπρεπε να βγείς από το δωμάτιο να περάσεις άλλα δύο δωμάτια κάποιον άλλων και να πας απο το διάδρομο στο αποχωρητήριο.

• elena (3/5): - Posizione, disponibilità del personale. Colazione, scarna e cofezionata, devi decidere la mezza ora che scegli per farla, e sarà così per ogni giorno, pulizie quasi inesistenti, camera e bagno minuscoli. Scordatevi il phon in camera.
