• Артавазд (10/5): Рекомендую - Понравилось практический все: Расположение, завтрак, ресторан (мы там очень вкусно поужинали), на ресепшне теннисный стол стоит – можно в настольный теннис поиграть. В номере своя колонка, мебель свежая, матрас ортопедический - удобный. Особенно хочу подчеркнуть приветливость и вовлеченность персонала.
• Sofia (9/5): - There's nothing to dislike about this hotel. Everything is incredibly clean, the staff goes above and beyond to help, and the rooms have all you need (slippers, bathroom robes, and all the toilet-related things). There is a restaurant in the hotel which I also recommend - many options and the food is delicious. The location is a good compromise if you are by car and intend to visit some of the attractions close by (St. Karaper, Tatev etc). The lady managing the hotel, Hasmik, is incredibly knowledgeable about Armenian culture, traditions, and is happy to share it to anyone who asks about it. My friend and I learned a lot with her. She also does a lot for the community and is doing a wonderful job in running the hotel. You can book workshops at the hotel (traditional Armenian carpet making, how to make lavash and some more). We booked on the workshop on the day we did it (carpet making) and it was perfectly fine. We went to Tatev before to take the cable car and see the monastery and they even called to confirm if the cable car was open and reserve the tickets for us (Mondays are usually the maintenance day, thus not always possible to visit). Overall, it truly made a difference for us to stay there. The hospitality was incredible and if I would go back, I would stay there again.

Dîner et petit-déjeuner sur place, ce qui compte dans la ville de Sisian, plutôt endormie à cette période... Agréablement surpris ! X

• Angela (9/5): Great place for a short stay in Sisian - The front desk staff was cheerful and attentive. Our room was spacious and clean with very comfortable beds - the family room had a large double bed (queen size?) plus two twin beds, a small desk, and a lovely view (see photo). After we arrived around 6pm and got settled, we called down to order a light dinner. My husband wanted s'pas even though it wasn't on the menu, and they happily accommodated him. The food was fresh and delicious, including the breakfast buffet of breads, cereals, matzoun (natural yogurt), mooraba (fruit preserves), honey, eggs, and fruits. Our 11 year old enjoyed using the ping pong table in the reception area. Water in the bathroom got hot quickly -- just don't expect it to last for a long shower, especially if you are doing a full routine for long hair! Special thanks to the front desk staff for finding a toothbrush kit for our daughter who forgot to bring hers. Only minor suggestions for improvement: 1. Recommend an electrical outlet or extension cord next to the bed to allow guest to charge their device on the nightstand (there was a lamp on my nightstand with no place to plug it in) -- for now we plugged our devices on the desk which was fine for a single night stay. 2. Provide instructions to control heater in room -- it was cold in mid-March, but we found the room too warm and were not able to adjust the temperature. My husband was uncomfortably warm when sleeping. 3. Add a small shelf or countertop in bathroom for guests to place their belongings. There is more than enough floor space, but not enough surface space to put personal items such as hairbrush, skin cream, or cosmetics. Perhaps most people staying in Hotel Basen are lower maintenance than I am!
• ΑΝΝΑ (9/5): Ενα από τα ωραιότερα καταλύματα που με έχουν φιλοξενήσει. Το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα. - Το δωμάτιο μου (μονόκλινο) ήταν ευρύχωρο και ευχάριστο με μεγάλο παράθυρο. Η θέα ήταν στους αγρούς. Το μπάνιο επίσης ήταν πολύ ευρύχωρο και άνετο. Το πρωινό ήταν επαρκές και πολύ καλό. Την μεγάλη διαφορά την έκανε το προσωπικό και κυρίως τα δύο κορίτσια της ρεσεψιον τα οποία -παντα χαμογελαστά- επέδειξαν ιδιαίτερα φιλική διάθεση και προθυμία για εξυπηρέτηση των αναγκών μου (π.χ. χωρίς να το ζητήσω μου πρόσφεραν τσάι βοτάνων ειδικό για το πρόβλημα που είχα στο στομάχι και την επόμενη ημέρα μου έφεραν φρούτο στο δωμάτιο). Δεν υπάρχει κάτι που δεν μου άρεσε.
• Katharina (10/5): Rundum super! - Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Lage ist ideal und ruhig, das Zimmer sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich wünscht. Es gab auch einen guten Kühlschrank, den man benutzen durfte. Die Matratzen sind sehr gut, wir haben lange nicht mehr so gut geschlafen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die große Gastfreundschaft: Die junge Dame an der Rezeption ist äußerst hilfsbereit, spricht Englisch und wir wurden von Beginn an sehr freundlich betreut. Es gibt ausgezeichnetes traditionelles Essen in der Unterkunft – für uns das Beste in Armenien, zu sehr angemessenen und fairen Preisen. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und werden bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Sisian bestimmt wiederkommen. Herzlichen Dank für die schöne Zeit!

A wonderful spread of homemade jams and breads, complete with fresh milk and a wide array of teas and coffee. But the best part of the experience was the exceptional service. For one, the hotel provided fresh fruit and a variety of maps and guides in the room, which actually led me to complete a hike in Sisian that I did not know existed! Specifically, I would like to thank the front desk staffer Ani specifically. She was incredibly warm and polite and allowed me to store my baggage at the front desk even after I had checked out. Even after she was off the clock, she still helped me book a taxi to Tatev, which was greatly appreciated. She certainly went the extra mile to make my stay in Sisian a comfortable one!
