Guest Reviews
- Tuomas (8/5): -
- Jimenez (8/5): - Good breakfast! not to far from the center, nice location if you like to be a bit far from the noise. The staff is super friendly and kind!! we found it expensive for the facilities and for Albania... but ok for 1/2 nights after a long flight.
- mohamed mehdi (10/5): - parfait , comprehensible
- Scotti (6/5): -
- Michael (3/5): Good location, bad facilities - Location as convenient, just 15 minutes walk from centre of Tirana There is a lot that needs updating to this property. The sheets had holes in them. The bedroom doors are made of glass, so the light from the hallway comes in and makes it difficult to sleep. Also very noisy, can hear everyone shutting doors all hours of the night. For €30 I understand it is budget, but you can find much better value for money elsewhere
- Aksoy (6/5): -
- Alexia (8/5): -
- Jan (8/5): Great place near center, very friendly stuff. -
- Sipho (9/5): -
- Allaman (8/5): Je recommande - Qualité, prix rien a dire.

- Mony (6/5): zentrale Lage, günstiger Preis, gut für kurzen Aufenthalt - kein Komfort - Sehr zentrale Lage, gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis Zimmer schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen, Überdecke ungewaschen
- Mpambano (6/5): Simple and nice staff. The EGGS were amazing! - The stay was good and simple. I loved the staff and the breakfast eggs were out of this world
- Mukhtar (1/5): Never stay at this place even for free - Very close to the center. But the surrounding area looks very bad. You will see hanging clothes from your window. 1. You feel yourself like a poor who cannot afford anything better. The place is like a shelter for homeless people. Starting from the entrance, it looks old and no renovation is done for years. Beds, wardrobes, and other stuff are very very old and broken. Do not stay in this place if you want comfort and respect. They don’t know what is it. I was very surprised that they call it “hotel”. This is not a hotel.
2. They have very poor understanding of privacy. The entrance door to your room is made of very low quality glass doors. I have never seen any hotels with glass doors before. And anybody can easily open it, lockers are very bad. When I told them that their doors must not be glass, they said “nobody will look into your rooms” :) It is not about looking, it’s about your feeling of safety and privacy.
3. It was extremely cold. Their air conditioners could not make it warmer. The door to the balcony had a big hole, we simply covered it with a towel.
4. The room itself is a disrespect for the guests. I am surprised how Booking.com accepted it as a place for 4 people. You can hear everything from the bathroom and from the corridor.
5. They cook standard omlet with vegetables for a breakfast, while butter and cheese are in a separate menu, they don’t go together. I found this as a disrespect as well. It is insulting when you ask for extra slice of butter or extra spoon of sugar. I would better pay money for all of them and enjoy my breakfast.
6. The person, who met us at the reception in the night spoke zero English, and he just asked us to pay money, that all what he could communicate with us about. I felt ashamed in front of my children, as we felt we were asking shelter from them.
We left the “hotel” in 2 days and found cheaper and well equipped place, that respect guests. I would ask Booking.com to check the place and take measures to take them out from their recommendations.

If I visit the country again I will definitely visit the place atleast to greet them once

- sandro (10/5): -
- Peder (8/5): Small and convenient budget hotel at walking distance from the city center. - The good things: It's quite centrally located, and definitely not in a dangerous neighborhood, like other reviewers have said. Maybe 200m down a less busy street from a very busy main street. The night watchman checked me in.
My room was better than expected. Everything was clean, and it looked recently refurbished. I had a private bathroom, something that was a bit confusing from the booking. Maybe I just got lucky. Hot water, the air conditioning, and the internet worked like it should. My room was on the first floor. Here are some tips for improvement: Maybe it's a language-/culture thing, but all staff appeared grumpy. When I was checking in, the guy in charge said "the card terminal is not working properly, so you must either pay cash, or get a 15-20% surcharge for converting to Lek". This is strange. At best I think this is a hotel-problem, not a customer-problem. They said that I'd still have to pay the surcharge if I paid with Lek in cash. I had very limited euros with me, so I really didn't want to spend all my emergency money on the hotel. But in the end it's what I had to do. To top it off, apparently I had given them 1c too little, so during breakfast the woman working there came to tell me off (in Albanian), putting all the money on the table and pointing ferociously at it while speaking hard and loud in a language I obviously don't know.
The breakfast was a thin omelet and two slices of bread, with some slices of tomato and cucumber on the side, and some local mystery cheese. And a glass of water and a small coffee.
But in general I would say I'm satisfied and would stay there again.
- Julian (9/5): Superb -
- Bekim (1/5): Bad -
- Nicolo (10/5): Amazing Tirana and Albania - I love everything. I was looking for a good place for my 5 days tour in Albania and I found this one. I loved everything: position, stuff, breakfast, room, price...all perfect. I really thank you the owners because they are amazing! I hope to come back to Tirana soon and stay there again!
- Victor (10/5): Exceptional - Really nice place in good location. It's quiet road, 15 minutes walk from centre. Breakfast was super good, tasty and healthy. Rooms with balcony are really nice. Shops and bars nearby. Owners also have nice bar downstairs and are absolutely lovely people.
Highly recommend for kindness and homely touch.
- Kenneth (8/5): Value for money with free breakfast - It’s walking distance to the center. The owners are very nice. The ala carte breakfast feels home. nothing
- John (8/5): Very good - Location Breafast
- Maria (10/5): Very nice hotel, safe neighborhood, great location - The owners were very helpful, kind, and trustworthy, and as a solo female traveller, I felt safe in this hotel, and like I have a family there. Breakfast was very good (2 options), location excellent, value for money, clean, WiFi very good, The room was old but based on the price I paid it was value for money.
- Irina (5/5): I didn’t like it at all - Comfortable bed, delicious breakfast and friendly staff I don’t recommend, very old hotel, without repair. Toilet was separate, shower cabin right in the room. Doors are very thin and glass is covered with wallpaper
- Stefan (7/5): Good -
- Vilson (1/5): Bad -
- Feelz (8/5): Very good - Good breakfast (although not many options) and nice room with a good shower / water pressure and air conditioner to relax after a hot day. In a very good location as well, with many services and restaurants nearby. A few more hooks and amenities in the room would help elevate this hotel greatly.
- Giorgia (9/5): Superb -
- Kutsi (3/5): Poor -
- Maja (10/5): Very nice hosts - Very kind owners, excellent breakfast, everything was clean, great location near city centre Bathroom needs bit updating but for our short stay it was ok.
- Vasilika (9/5): Superb -
- Mn005 (7/5): Good - very delicious breakfast; very good and welcoming staff. good place for short stay or if you have early flights. it is also very close to the bus station and supermarkets. Don't expect too much; it is a basic hotel. everything was good.
- Katarzyna (9/5): Clean room, good localisation - Localisation is great, very close to the centre,
The entrance is well pointed and separated from the restaurant,
Room was clean and fresh, there was air conditioner so that was great,
There were two options for the breakfast and always a coffee or tea. People who prepared the meal and at the restaurant were very nice, smiling and with positive attitude.
- Wojciech (8/5): Very good - Old building in the very center of the city. Equipment very worn, but clean and functional. Owners friendly and helpful. There is a small parking lot next to the building.
During our stay, renovations were underway on the lower floor, which indicates the hotel's development. Noise did not bother us at all. And we got a great breakfast. We arrived quite late and it took a while to check in for the "night shift".
- Lorena (1/5): Bad -
- Naor (10/5): Lovely family run Hotel - First of all the welcome and the family operating this hotel really want you to enjoy your stay.
All the rooms are being redone and the bedrooms and bathrooms are immaculately clean. There is a bar and cafe/breakfast room where you are invited for breakfast.
Please remember what you are paying for your stay here which is in central Tirana, and the services you are offered.
If there is something not right then tell them-no use complaining for a missing toilet roll after the event
I found the small family run hotel more than good for my stay and will certainly return when I am in Tirana.
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional - This second time been here staff are lovely came down breakfast lady made a lovely omelette and the man was so nice owner I think bedroom clean and air con good thank you adrian Nothing
- Belinda (7/5): Good -
- Tonio (10/5): Hotel Central is a fantastic place to seek refuge at an affordable rate. - I am grateful to Hotel Central for their wonderful hospitality. The staff and pricing were fantastic, the breakfast provided was delicious and the room was impeccable. The hotel is walking distance to everything in Tirana, yet just a bit of distance away to avoid the excessive noise of the city. Whenever I visit Tirana, I will be seeking lodging with Hotel Central again- Faleminderit shume
- Milovan (5/5): Passable -
- Marco (5/5): Nice location - The owner was very kindness and friendly, available to giving information and suggestion. The hotel is very close to the city center, located on one of the main Tirana’s road. Room was clean and the cost is appropriate for the services offered. breakfast was delicious but not a lot of choice. The only huge problem was the noise from other rooms during the night.
- Seaman (7/5): Louise - Warwick, UK - The owner was very friendly. The breakfast. There was not much choice.
- Dmytro (3/5): It’s not hotel , it’s just rooms. - Located in downtown, very close to central part of Tirana. Better go to hostel.
Bed sheets are not fresh , no sheet for blanket. Main door for room is weak and all night I had feeling that if somebody push it , door will open automatically. Window locker is defective. I’m general room requires deep cleaning and renewing. Nobody offer breakfast which was included in price.
- Daiana (6/5): Pleasant -
- Joana (1/5): Bad -
- Andre (10/5): Budget hotel with parking - Budget hotel. It is relatively central, easy access by walking, an inside garage for the car. It had the necessary facilities to spend a couple of nights. It is not the most comfortable or romantic, looks a bit shady, it needs some renovation for a better looking. A bit noisy outside.
- Senka (1/5): Bad - Extremely bad Everything, it was a motel, not a hotel, drunk people as guest
- Tomas (9/5): Superb - Great location, very friendly and helpful Staff , great value for money.
- Stela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Xhuljan (4/5): Disappointing -
- Afrifa (7/5): Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The staff are very nice and friendly. Hotel not far from city centre - The breakfast was good but I think there should be more options. You could only choose from two options
- Gaetano (10/5): Exceptional - I recently stayed at Hotel Central, and it was wonderful. The room was clean and comfy, and the staff was super friendly. I loved the breakfast—they had a great selection. The location was perfect. Nothing
- Serban (9/5): Superb -
- Leidy (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was amazing,we had menu number two ,which was cucumber ,tomatoes ,cheese, scramble eggs and a cup of coffee. Then we got a beer called Korca which was tasty.
Breakfast was great ,staff was friendly, chatty and very helpful. I liked every
- Maze (10/5): Exceptional - Economic price frendly staf and very clean
- Erik (7/5): Small comfy priceworthy - Small but comfy, open 24/7 and 15 walk from city center so perfect if you arrive late at night for a 1-2 days stay. Breakfast ok but nothing fancy. It's a budget hotell with very nice people/staff running it
- Barbara (6/5): Pleasant - BREAKFAST IS SUPER , NEAR THE CITY , THE PERSONAL WHO WORK IS SUPER THE ROOMS , TOILET IS OLDER AND NOT VERY CLEAN
- John (7/5): Good stay in a great location - - good location
- very cheap
- good value for money
- big room with AC - slightly outdated but is still great value for money
- shared bathroom, which we had no big issue with
- Paris (9/5): Good value for money, central hotel - The gentlemen who worked there was amazing, although there was a language barrier he was so unbelievably helpful and made us feel so welcome. The windows did not shut fully.
- Paris (9/5): Superb -
- Koraltay (6/5): Pleasant - I like the effort of the morning workers. The location was good. Young employee was not professional and a little rude. The toilet was outside the room and the flush was not working on the first day. The water was off on the last day and after a hot day we slept without a shower. It was a another disappointment that active employees did not speak English.
- Bledian (7/5): Good -
- Kanan (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast is very tasty Everything is very beautiful
- Leon (10/5): Exceptional - We liked the breakfast and spaciousness of the apartment. The view from the terrace of Ohrid Lake was also very beautiful.
- Miloš (3/5): Poor -
- Alonso (10/5): I recommend it 100% - That’s big and so comfortable I like all about the property
- Juan (5/5): Not too bad, but unfortunately not good for that price. - My breakfast was served at the time I asked, in this aspect they were very nice. The hotel is just too old and not well prepared. It is only 1 km away from the center, but for 25€ you should find better options in a city so cheap as Tirana.
You can only pay with cash.
- Klaudio (6/5): Pleasant -
- Emily (7/5): Good -
- Szűcs (3/5): Poor - Breakfast was fine and staff is nice. Hotel should be refurbished, it is
in a bad shape.
