• Michele (7/5): Homey feel in the middle of Bangkok. - August is like a guest house. It's quite outdated but comfortable and the staff go out of their way to help you. The location is fantastic. The room was big with a fridge and kettle. Netflix is provided but the internet is a little unpredictable. There is no breakfast offered. I think it needs a bit of an update but the staff, size of room and location made up for that.

The room was very cleaned as I had read in the reviews. I slept so well and enjoyed a lovely bath. Everything was perfect

• Steven (7/5): Good for a short stay. - Gives you all the basics, close to Terminal 21 and SOI Cowboy. Nothing fancy but gets the job done. Recommend for a short stay. Room is pretty musty. Seems old. Maybe get a nicer spot if staying more than a couple days.

• David (4/5): There are far better choices closer to the main attractions / transport routes - The rooms are quite spacious and clean, even though the decor was old There were 2 main problems with this hotel. As a tourist, you want to be near the main street (Sukhumvit), a BTS line (the metro service), Terminal 21 (shopping) or Soi Cowboy (girlie bars). This hotel is a good 10-15 minute walk from any of those. Sure, you can get a tuk-tuk or taxi, but you'd be better off just finding a hotel closer to the main attractions. The 2nd problem is that the main receptionist speaks very poor English and trying to ask questions / make requests may require mime, drawings, or beating your head against a wall. All very frustrating.

AC functioning well. The location might be a bit far away from the main attraction of the city. It took for about 1 hour to get to The Grand Palace. We stayed here because of my boyfriend's business.

• Ganesh (10/5): Top notch accomodation in Sukhumvit - Had a great stay at the August Residence last week. The room was very quiet and extremely clean. The neighborhood has some fantastic restaurants . The location is very convenient, walking distance from Asok and Phrom Phong BTS station. Overall very happy with the owner and the staff especially Apple and Vee. I will definitely stay here again in the future. Namaste. Khop Khun ka !! Nothing. Everything is excellent.

• Margaret (3/5): Bed bugs - It's a good location and the staff were nice, although they didn't speak much English. I found ants in one room, so I was moved to a different room, where I immediately saw evidence of bed bugs on one bed, as well as other bugs - luckily I had not unpacked or anything. I left the hotel without staying there, and they did apologize and give me a full refund, which was nice. However, I really can't recommend staying here given the bug issues, which probably speak to other cleanliness problems.

• Augusto (10/5): A nice and homey place in the middle of Bangkok - The place is nestled a quiet place in Bangkok with a great neighborhood. There are shops and restaurants nearby and the malls are just a short ride away. I love the ambience of the room which has the feel of a condominium unit. The meals served are simple but very filling. Most of all the staff is super friendly and helpful. There is practically not to like with this place. I will definitely come back to this place

The ladies at reception were extremely nice and helpful. They take pride in their establishment and service. One of the nicest places I stayed during this trip. The only area that needs any improvement is the quality and consistency of the Wi-Fi.
