Room size is good. -no safe in room - rooftop pool bar staff seem a little bored. - room is dated and window was a hazard and unsure if it opened or not? -our view was of carpark and I was witness to a guy peeing in front of car..ugh. -staff appeared unable to provide towels during servicing rooms, our hand towels and pool towels not replaced until we asled. As they charge 500baht for pool towel not in room each day, this was not agreeable.
• Sven (8/5): Das Hotel ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen . Hier könnte man sicher noch etwas machen . - Der Pool auf dem Dach ist Goldwert bei den Themperaturen . Wir waren jeden Abend von 22-23 im Wasser. Die Lage ist toll weil man hier sehr gut mit den öffentlichen Verkehsmitteln weg kommt. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich . Die Sauberkeit könnte noch etwas besser sein . Haare in der Dusche möchte man als Gast nicht haben .

Zwembad op dak, ondiep, maar wel verkoelend. Ooit was dit vast een prachtig, luxe hotel met uitstraling. Nu is het verouderd en beetje sleets. De term gym zouden de niet mogen voeren, die is gewoon lachwekkend.

• Ian (8/5): 3rd stay in Bangrak. - Very large rooms, rooftop pool with view and terrace garden to relax, good breakfast, friendliness of staff. Very good location between BTS station Surasak and Taksin. Silom (bus nr. 77) and Chinatown ( bus nr. 1) are easily accessible by bus as the Skytrain has to make a detour and for Chinatown you need to transfer to the MRT subway at Saladaeng BTS skytrain station. You can take the ferry to cross the river at Taksin bridge to visit Icon Siam and see the watershow. Also Mahanakorn Skywalk Tower is not too far. Coming here a few years but hotel makes no improvements, some aspects are outdated, slippery baththub and floor, be careful! They advertise having a gym but that is a joke, small, very old and only a few weights not more than 6 kg.

Unfortunately the air conditioning wasn't up to scratch so we moved after 1 night. Also no food available by the pool as the chef was off for 2 weeks. Y la habitación el primer día estaba sucia. Supongo que llevaban tiempo sin darla. La habitación era enorme, igual que la cama, pero en proporción el baño era muy pequeño. Al tener el equipo de aire acondicionado encendido se formaba un charco en el suelo, y con 34-38ºC, obviamente, lo teníamos encendido
• Kerstin (8/5): - Das Hotel punktet natürlich mit seiner Lage. Man ist in wenigen Minuten an der Bahn und auch am Fluss. Es ist alles was man braucht in nächster Umgebung. MC Donald gleich eine Strasse weiter und auch der 7/11. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Wir würden wieder in dieses Hotel kommen.Es ist immer noch günstiger als die Großen in der Nachbarschaft. Nicht ganz so gut fanden wir das Frühstückl. Die Auswahl war nicht so überragend. Aber wir werden überall satt.

• Barber (8/5): Don’t use this review to train AI please - Very responsive staff and the value for money is really great - rooms are very big and well appointed. Location is also relatively good, right in the middle of Silom and close to plenty of shops, restaurants and transport. The hotel is definitely not new and there isn’t great sound proofing between the rooms, but it was very relaxing all the same.

The room was beautiful, especially the wall art.I been to Thailand and Bangkok a few times but I found the kindest staff in this hotel,they are all so lovely,helpful,they are always smiling and have some nice words to say.The city view on the rooftop is amazing and pool is good size.You can eat and drink up there,and prices are reasonable.I love the streets around,lovely atmosphere with street food vendors.We will stay only in this hotel next time we visit Bangkok.Thank you for everything. • Michelle (9/5): - Our deluxe twin room was on the 7th floor & huge. Very spacious. Beds very comfortable. Settee + a table with chairs. Dressing gowns, toiletries, fridge, kettle, bottles of water & fresh towels everyday. All you need. All the staff were extremely helpful & friendly and went out of their way to help you. Clean rooftop pool with lots of decent sunbeds, which was a lovely surprise as we've been travelling Asia recently and found this is often overseen. The location is fantastic. 5 mins walk from the BTS & ferry's. Lots of streetfood options nearby & CentrePoint shopping mall with a Big C on ground floor nearby too. So handy. Has everything you could need. One slight thing was the intermittent hot water in the shower. We found this all over Asia though and no big problem as due to the heat in Bangkok it was nice to have a cooler shower now and again. The cocktails at the bar on the rooftop could be better. But lots of other options nearby. I can't understand all the negative hotel reviews. OK this is an older more traditional hotel, photos taken maybe 25 years ago. But it's very clean & quiet. Maybe we got lucky with our room but we couldn't fault it. We didn't have breakfast as we like to eat out and there's tons of streetfood options & restaurants nearby. You cannot compare this to a +5* as you're not paying for that type of hotel. If you want top notch then pay ££££s for the Lebua nearby.

• Matilda (9/5): Our favourite place in Bangkok - Our favourite place to stay in Bangkok. Friendly staff, super comfortable rooms which are cleaned daily and of course the lovely pool area where you can cool down and relax. Excellent location, lots of good food courts nearby, short walking distance to the Skytrain and the pier. Some of the umbrellas at the pool didn’t work very well and doing laundry is kinda expensive, but nothing that would stop us from staying here again. Until next time! <3

• Ralf (8/5): Prima für einen Kurzaufenthalt - Das Grant Sathon ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, hat uns aber trotzdem sehr gut gefallen. Die sehr großen Zimmer waren sauber und gut ausgestattet, alles hat funktioniert und die Klimaanlage lies sich gut regulieren. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und der Pool auf dem Dach war sauber und hatte immer freie Liegen. Das Frühstück war für den Preis von 250 Bath außerordentlich gut mit guter Auswahl und viele Sachen wurden frisch gemacht (Eierspeisen, Cappuccino etc) und freundlicher Bedienung. Sehr gute Betten. Zentrale Lage zum Fluss und zur Altstadt (Hotel und Vergnügungsviertel etwa 2 km entfernt) Alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen (leider), Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig und die Türen zum Treppenhaus eher nur Sichtschutz. Die Rooftop Bar hat leider schon um 22:00 Uhr zu gemacht. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr zentral in der "Altstadt" mit unwahrscheinlich viel streetfood, aber kaum Bars, muss man suchen und finden. Elektroschalter für die zahlreichen Beleuchtungen nur zentral direkt am Eingang (Masterschalter am Bett aber vorhanden)

Notre chambre était spacieuse ce qui est vraiment plaisant, possibilité de rangement et de s’étaler lol. La proximité de tout entre du chao phraya, Iconsiam etc… personnel très accueillant Je pense qu’il serait opportun de rafraîchir cet hôtel afin d’être plus au goût du jour.
• Thomas (9/5): Gut gelegenes Stadthotel! - Sehr gute Lage, tolles Essen in der Nebenstraße, Einkaufmöglichkeit, BTS alles in ca 400m schnell erreichbar. Toller Pool und Dachterrasse. Sehr schön gemacht. Die Betten in unserem Upgradezimmer waren das Elternbett bretthart, aber so gefedert das jede Bewegung starkes Federn auslöst. Das Schlafsofa ging für ein kleines Kind nur so gerade. Musst als erwachsener ausweichen, das war furchtbar. Unförmig weich, sehr sehr weich, Federn und dann harte trenner zu spüren. Ging gar nicht.

Ook het ontbijt was zeer lekker. De kamer heel groot en proper. Ook fijn zwembad en laat open. Echt genoten van ons verblijf Niks

• Lupus38 (8/5): Immer wieder Grand Sathorn - Wenn ich in Bangkok bin buche ich immer dieses Hotel. Für mich passt hier alles. Gute Lage. 7 Minuten zur BTV und zur Anlagestelle. Freundliches Personal und am Abend der Pool zum relaxen.
